2861  Economy / Speculation / Re: Altcoin still feasible? Profit or loss? on: November 07, 2020, 08:20:36 PM
Altcoins were always there for grabs but people got scared, nobody said things would stay low with altcoins and you know that altcoins are legit good investments as well (not all, but there are few who are great like ETH) and that means when they go down, you should see that as a way to get more of them.

I increased my ethereum position at 384 for example, because I knew that it would go over 400 very soon and thanks to ETH 2.0 news the price is now over 430 dollars. I didn't make a big profit from this move, under 100 dollars profit, but I did realized that it was possible to make that move, if you saw the altcoin prices going down and assumed it was a doomsday situation, you were very wrong to begin with because alts will never stay low forever.

However now we see bitcoin AND alts going up together so we know that is possible and people may use that information in the future.
I love it when I am right as well, I have not invested into altcoins because I didn't had any liquidity at that moment but I knew that things like ETH where people are using like crazy due to all the new defi stuff, I knew it wouldn't hang low for a long time. I also never understand why people assumed "when bitcoin goes up, altcoins go down" because that is not true, never been really a true thing any time in history, sometimes bitcoin goes up and alts go down, sometimes btc goes up and alts go up with it, there is no guarantee that when btc does something alts will react same way, they always react differently.

As you can see today, the price of almost every coin increased like crazy, ethereum peaked over 450 dollars and going towards that 500 dollars like crazy, all other coins are following it as well with prices going 10-20% higher than last week, removing all the losses AND making a profit.
2862  Economy / Economics / Re: What is causing last few days' run-up? on: November 07, 2020, 05:46:22 PM
Paypal? I can't really know for sure but the main reason is probably the small increases causing others to get hyped about it turning it into bigger increases as well, because when people see bitcoin go from $12k to $13k they like to get involved which makes it $13.5k which causes others to get hyped and make it $14k and so forth until there is a point where some people decide to say "well that is enough profit let me get out" and that causes it to go back to $14k and others see it and say "it is finally going down I should get out before it is too late" which causes it to go to $13.5k and so forth until it reverses.

Basically what paypal did created this hype and caused it to go over $13k that was the first movement, everything after that is just people being hyped about a bull run and buying which causes the bull run itself.
2863  Economy / Economics / Re: The source of bitcoin's current skyward trend was foreshadowed on: November 07, 2020, 05:11:13 PM
Considering this was published 3 weeks ago, could we say that the big increase we have seen in the past week could be attributed to this? Or should we assume that even today we are still waiting for USDT to make it go up? I feel like at around $15k-16k range we are actually not doing that bad with the hype but also going higher than this would be requiring some more cash capital coming in, which could be via USDT if possible but if not it could be regular bank deposits going into the crypto market for new investments as well.

Whatever happens next I can say that USDT does really have a big impact on bitcoin price, you get to see if people are bullish or bearish on bitcoin according to how USDT is doing and that scares me because our market is depending on Tether company not doing anything illegal and not get all that money seized by governments.
2864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH2.0 New Update on: November 06, 2020, 08:19:32 PM
If you invest right now, you are going to start getting stakes later on plus you are speeding things up as well, if enough people deposit that will show the chain that this is what we want and that will take things considerably quicker to final destination versus waiting for the minimum to be reached.

I feel like the minimum will be reached in record speed and we will move towards 2.0 very fast, I doubt anyone would want something like this to be postponed and they will probably want it right away. There was also talks about being able to stake even today if you do something but I didn't really understand how, I assume it will start when the public release happens and not now but there were some ways around people were talking about, if that is the case things could change very quickly.

^I agree myself that 15 wasn't really that big of  a deal. In fact it was just some airdrop that I received that day which to me didn't really worth anything, normally I do not even deposit 6-7 bucks because sending that would cost a lot to begin with, let alone anything else. Hence why I believe 15 wasn't a big deal but I just wanted to exchange that airdrop into ETH and then gamble with it, what else was I suppose to do with just 6 bucks? That is not even worth the time or even could even be turned to fiat, hence gambling with it was a feeling like "faucet" where I got free money to gamble with.

I came here to talk about the withdrawal rate because I found it interesting, didn't really bother me all that insanely much but considering it could be removed and just let people withdraw 1 satoshi above the fee is possible, I just wanted to share that. Otherwise 15+ for eth is understandable (and can yes doge if you want less).
2866  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the Digital Yuan makes China even more powerful? on: November 06, 2020, 06:17:24 PM
Honestly digital yuan probably will be controlled by the government anyway and that is why I do not believe it could ever be decentralized and that will make it not really loved outside of China at all. Sure maybe at first days people may want some of it, but considering it is a stable coin that means it will not profit you for trading or investing neither, it is after all just a money and that's about it.

However it could potentially be something to make it easier for people to move money around in china, crypto exchanges and miners and many people in china who are involved in crypto would have something that could help them move their yuan around between these companies and that could change some things for them, not like it will be USDT because that is much bigger but it could be just a Chinese thing for them to use.
2867  Economy / Economics / Re: This is why bitcoin HAS to go up on: November 06, 2020, 04:58:01 PM
Bitcoin started the year at 7 thousand dollars, it has peaked over 2x profits right now, and we are also at a level where we haven't seen since the ATH times, which shows you that what USA did and why dollar is a lot more worthless to many people's eyes (even if not in economical sense) while bitcoin is still quite valuable. This is the exact same reason why I keep saying that people should focus on having as much crypto as possible instead of focusing on how much their crypto worths.

I do not care how much 1 bitcoin worths, I want to have 1 bitcoin and that is the end of the story for me, I want to have 32 ETH so I can stake it, I would be happier if I can have even more, these are the numbers I care about because even when crypto prices increases, I know that it increases due to fiat becoming worthless and that is a sad thing.
2868  Economy / Gambling / Re: WOLF.BET - $1,000 Daily Race! 30% Rakeback! Advanced Dice Game 2.000 Bets/s⚡ on: November 05, 2020, 08:33:21 PM
I have gambled a bit today but I have never checked the minimum withdrawal amount before until today, which I find a bit higher than should be. I didn't had too much money left to gamble for today so I just sent my 6-7 bucks into wolf.bet to have some fun, it was definitely a good amount of money and I gambled for a good long while, at the end I had about 12-13 bucks and I said to myself since I doubled my profit I should probably cash out and leave for a while before I restart

You didn't say what coin you've been gambling with

If it is Bitcoin, then the reason for so high a minimum withdrawal amount may have to do with high network fees (just a hunch). The minimum withdrawal amount for doges is same as before, i.e. 2,000 doges (I just checked it out), which is way lower than 0.04 BTC in case you were playing with bitcoins
I have gambled with ETH and the minimum you can withdraw from ETH was about 15 bucks, while I went as high as around 12 bucks, I couldn't gamble that last 3 dollars and lost all the other 12 bucks instead Cheesy. I got in with like 6-7 so that was all I lost nothing big deal. I do not want to make it look like a complaint, like this is not really a big problem.

Wolfbet simply says "if you do not have over 15 bucks, do not come here and gamble for nothing because we ain't giving it to you" and that is understandable, 15+ is not like a whale or anything it is quite cheap. Usually not so cheap in third world countries like where I come from but still cheap for many people. Hence I think this is not a deal, sure if they could drop it in half to something like 0.02 that would be swell but during a period where even withdrawal fee reaches to high levels, 0.04 is totally understandable.
2869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP 10 Lottery Winner Losers on: November 05, 2020, 07:40:26 PM
Everything else would be something easy to stop, I am not going to change the person I am just because I got money, and almost half of that money doesn't really require you to change your life neither.

Anything until 10 million dollars would be good enough money to have 3 lines of generations live comfortably if you are careful with your investments but it will not become money that would be world changing for everyone, it would easy life but it wouldn't be spend it on everything you find type of life, you have to still live a proper sane but above middle class life, your biggest expense could be a house and even that takes up a huge chunk of your money. Above that would be silly to earn that is for sure but I don't know what would happen in that case. Family and friends are the only trouble here, that sounds like a real problem.
2870  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the best cryptocurrency exchange for beginners on: November 05, 2020, 06:35:09 PM
If you are newbie and you want to deal with regular btc/usdt type of deals I would suggest coinbase and kraken they are very known and they are very good at what they are doing as well, you would be at very safe hands when using them. Obviously if you are not capable of doing USD deposits and from another nation that has trouble with swift type of deals that would mean you have to pick something from your own nation and we can't suggest any about that.

However if you want bitcoin versus alts as a newbie that is definitely binance without a doubt. I do not agree with people saying everyone should pick the ones they like and all, binance is a great gateway to start and after that you could change however you want. Uniswap on the other hand is getting very famous for DEX reasons and if you are newbie that can understand that, it could be potentially very great for you as well.
2871  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best DEX for trading? on: November 04, 2020, 06:59:48 PM
Uniswap became something huge with the tech it provided, I don't know what their token will be like because it promised way too much and I doubt that would happen but we should be able to differentiate the token and the exchange itself.

I am sure many people got the hold of it and showed interest towards Uniswap all due to them offering hundreds of dollars in bounty prize, which I believe will not be as high as advertised, but thanks to that fake looking bounty, they managed to get a lot of interest towards a product that is unseen anywhere else.

With them allowing people to exchange and trade without worrying about centralized exchange getting hacked or anything, their exchange part will become huge. I only worry when the bounty rewards come in and look like it is few dollars at best, many people may complain and try to destroy its credibility.
2872  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3 myths about crypto trading tools on: November 04, 2020, 06:29:19 PM
Not gonna lie, everyone could call themselves a "crypto currency consultant" or whatever crypto tag you want to have, doesn't mean you are going to be credible or even respected, look at linkedin, there are tons of unemployed people who call themselves "blockchain expert" or "crypto investor" and stuff like that. At the end of the day, I would say the best way to approach these kind of people to check what they wrote and see if they know what they are talking about and how valuable what they bring to the table.

Looking at this one, he knows what he is talking about and not talking about something wrong, that is a good sign, but it is also nothing too shocking or things we don't know so he is not awesome neither, I would give him 7/10 for this topic alone, didn't check his medium.
2873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO, IDO, STO which best? on: November 04, 2020, 05:45:47 PM
From these options I would say IEO could be the best according to which exchange doing the listing. If you see a coin doing IEO at binance you know that it will be liked and traded, even on the dex platform it will at least get some attention and that is why I like it a lot.

But, obviously if we are talking about a bad exchange that you do not trust, or a shady looking newbie exchange, or anything that had a problem before, that means IEO or not it is going to suck for that project.

Second in like would be IDO because that is the popular thing right now and looking at all the bounties and airdrops, some of them actually do end up being decent, not all of them though because there is a small chance of it being awesome but you could find some gems. The rest are not really that great in my own opinion.
2874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $20+Day! Villages in Philippines survive Covid playing Axie Infinity on: November 04, 2020, 04:36:37 PM
This feels like it could potentially be just a shilling of a product and not the reality and there is really no other way to check if this is a fact or not by actually using the app and seeing if you could actually make a profit.

I can tell you that if there was a legit way of making 20 dollars a day, it would be used by not only Philippines but all around the world, even in countries like USA where life is a lot more expensive, kids would be doing this like crazy to get their money up and buy some games, even the most expensive ps4 game is about 60 bucks so a young kid working 3 days on this could buy the most expensive game without asking money from parents (just permission) and 600 dollars a month would be a very good side income for them. It would be literally higher than minimum salary in 100+ nations.
2875  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: November 03, 2020, 05:23:52 PM
All these sportsbooks giving Biden or "winning party democrat party" type of bets under 1.6 for the past few days really started to excite me. I do not want to talk about politics here, you pick whoever you want to pick, but in wagering world I have a lot of money wagered on Biden so to me it is more than just politics, it is about money in my pockets Cheesy.

Thankfully I got in at 1.88 way back when and I got in with some other websites as well so at the end of the day I have like 250 dollars laying on Biden in probably 6-7 different places, and each of them had Biden starting from about 2.2 at highest I believe during primaries to now as low as under 1.5 odds which is quite low considering that is like Liverpool vs Sunday league team type of odds. I will have about 150-200 dollar profit if he wins!
2876  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - Lamborghini Giveaway! 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: November 03, 2020, 04:11:02 PM
It actually makes a lot of sense. Why? In the previous elections, Clinton was projected as the clear winner through all the polls and the popular vote seemed to be in her favor, but majority of the world were shocked to see Trump win in the end by conquering key areas.

This is why many bettors are betting big money on Trump since he has succeeded as an underdog in the past. I feel it's 50-50 at this point between Trump and Biden.
I have never said Trump will lose, I wouldn't know that, I am not a political science major nor have any type of credibility when it comes to guessing election results neither, I wouldn't trust my own guess let alone someone else should. What I simple said that it is way too close to risk that much money and I am 100% sure it doesn't matter if you think Trump will win or Biden will win, you should realize that it is close, it is not going to be like some candidate will get 450+ or whatever, that is not the case at all, it is going to be deadly close no matter who wins.

This is why it doesn't make sense to bet on Trump 130k+ dollars, does it make sense to bet 130k+ on Biden? Doubtful, but at least he is seen as the favorite right now, doesn't mean he will 100% win but at least he has a higher chance, whereas trump does have a chance to win but it is lower than Bidens so putting up that much money on the underdog is just way too risky for me.
2877  Economy / Speculation / Re: history loves repeating itself. the only question is when! on: November 02, 2020, 09:02:24 PM
There is no exactly the same situation, especially when it comes to Bitcoin. Besides, conditions in the market are never the same and there are so many factors and circumstances that might affect Bitcoin price.
History might repeat but that is not the only argument you can stick to to predict possible price growth, in crypto world that doesn't count.
Different people are having different perceptions. I am seeing this year very much similar to 2016 regardless of what we had due to pandemic. I mean that even world economy got suffered due to consequences of pandemic, bitcoin must need to be performing like gold as gold and bitcoins are falling into same category compared to stocks and other bonds which are related to economy of a country.

Moreover, we are going to see a new ATH by the end of this year which will make us to assume that potential of bitcoin is more than enough to defeat the consequences of pandemic. This way history will repeat itself and I am not having any doubts about its timing as well because I am foreseeing the possibilities of coinciding time frame as well.
2878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Stays Above USD 13,000, Altcoins Take Hit on: November 02, 2020, 08:30:43 PM
It has been more than 15 months since the last time we witnessed bitcoin at $14000. And according to my knowledge, 15-months is a fair amount of time for any big investors try to accumulate bitcoin in order to find a ticket for the next bullish run
By the times of May/June of 2019, bitcoin prices peaked only up to $13,800 and never got power to test $14k levels. So, the last time we had seen prices around $14k was when the prices were falling from ATH by the first quarter of 2018. It has been more than two and half years since bitcoin markets traded above $14k price levels.

I also believe that with the improvement in price so far, two years into the halving of bitcoin this year, the bull will fully come and including altcoins.
What is two years and halving? The next halving may happen by May month of 2024 or earlier to that also possible. Bitcoin market is slowly gaining momentum and it last up to end of next years (as per the four year cycle of BTC markets) and only after that you may see most altcoins may test their new ATHes.
2879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AIRDROPS ARE NO LONGER VIABLE on: November 02, 2020, 07:14:26 PM
Airdrop shouldn't really be a good source of income to begin with. Let's take a look at what you do with airdrops? I can find some right now on airdrop directories, it shows that I have to like their tweet, I have to like their facebook page, I have to follow their instagram, I have to join their telegram.

These are the most common ones and usually ends up with all of them being like this, you can have additions on top of this like bitcointalk signature bounty or maybe there is a tweet where you have to follow them, retweet them, like their tweet and reply with tagging 5 different people? That is an airdrop too. All of these are not that much work at all, these are things you can do in under 10 minutes, how much money did you think you could get for something so quick and easy to do? I think few dollars is more than enough.
2880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fast food restaurants accepting crypto as payment method? on: November 02, 2020, 06:43:41 PM
I live in a nation where crypto acceptance is sky high, we use crypto for anything if we want to and other party accepts it, legality wise there is no problem at all. Yet we still do not have too much places that accept bitcoin or any crypto easily, adoption is very slow compared to what it could be, considering the law allows you to accept crypto I would assume it would have been a lot more common but unfortunately it is not.

This is why I believe it is going to be a bit different to have a mass adoption one day, it is not about legality, it is not about price it is basically all about people not having the trust in crypto enough to accept it and cash out later, they are afraid of the volatile price situation of crypto and this is why I think it is not going to have any sort of mass adoption until it is more stable.
