I like this one better .

how can i take a btg wallet address except exchanges?

i couldntt take from mybtgwallet.com

you have to wait till it goes live to day then you can ...which is about two hours away.

but you can check your BTC address here to see how much you get .

https://bitcoingold.org/

according to FAQ down the page

What wallet should I keep my BTC in to make sure I will receive BTG?
Some wallets may offer you direct access to your BTG, while others may require you to take additional technical steps. Verified wallets that support BTC and BTG side-by-side will be listed on the Bitcoin Gold home page. We will publish guides for retrieving BTG from the most popular wallets, including Bitcoin Core, Electrum, Mycelium, hardware wallets, paper wallets, and more.

if i wanted to make wallet on mybtgwallet how would i go about that it looks kinda confusing

left hand corner it says create a wallet hit that then in green if will give you a seed copy and paste it for paper then over from were it says create a wallet it says Import BTG from BTC Seed hit that and enter in the seed it will gave you a shit load of address an what they match up to for BTC >....

BTG address start with a G. The middle link that says Import a BTG Wallet doesn't work yet, hit that it tells you why .

I'm in the US an goona start off using http://www.btgmine.org/ this is the pool list

Stratum Port    3032
Username   Your Bitcoin Gold Address e.g.:
Password    Anything

according to what there saying it all converts over to live net/main net from test net all but the test coins, an there might be some reboot time involved at first ..
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold Mining [Miners and suggestions] on: November 12, 2017, 04:00:43 PM
I used to mine bitcoins is through nicehash. If they have not opened this possibility for me is an indication that more is not profitable to produce these coins. It seems to me that set mining is the most useless thing. You only spend time on useless testing. It is better to wait some time to get familiar coins for you.

you can do that if you want but i wouldn't because if you tested it on test net etc and it goes live you may miss the boost at first and lose cash but that's up to you ...everything tested good the way it looks .... @ 300 bucks a coin more or less they will be fast to mine at first up to you ...
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BTG minig Starts Sunday live 7 PM UTC on: November 12, 2017, 03:46:04 PM
wallets or the ones ill be using ...... you can get your wallets now and set up for 2 pm est US if your in the US est, didn't check other time zones ... Plus any wallet you used testing make sure it's your own because they are suppose to converted to live as well .. so don't use the wallet some test pools gave you, get your own with private keys ...

Buy some good cards,1070 up but i recommend 1080ti.I will surely mine this coin it has a lot of potential.

For poor people such as me in a 3rd world , would 3GB GTX1060 cut it ?
I have RX470 x1 and plan to buy another RX470 mining edition one or either just a GTX1060 i dont know really what the better is.
This is all i can afford.
I was looking at then getting another later like in 1 month OR just wait and buy a GTX1070.... not sure.
Thing is, and keep in mind, pricing for these cards here not like in the US where everything always seems way cheaper.
No idea why .

For poor people such as me in a 3rd world , would 3GB GTX1060 cut it ?

Yes !!! ....

I'll tell you this, alot of you guys really back Avalon's and this issue has NOT left a bad taste in my mouth in fact I just bought another Avalon 6 (PLEASEEEEEE no issues on this new one lol)

why not  Avalon is as good as it gets right now compared to bitmain or anything else at this moment in time at least till next year and they seem a lot nicer then bit main ... I'm hoping Japan will be able to make things better and we start getting a better deal but that's next year if it's gonna happen .

To avoid misinterpretations of my previous statement:

ZM's reliability is of high priority.
There is no doubt - this needs improvement.
I'm thinking about a better solution to this ofc.
This requires some communication with pool owners and some testing.
I'll provide an update as soon as possible.
Sry for the downtime.

NP  just make it more clear what you mean this software seems awesome or better then EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner ...so until you get it working again please take your time fixing it and ignore some of the others an me for that fact ..... an fix it : ) ...the good thing i guess no one seems to care about the Fee they just want it working because it does work good, when it is working ... or better then EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner .

I do have one request add some color to the screen ...Smiley .....

It is exactly logic I have written of. More thinking of own greed  than about customers. It is straight way to nowhere.I think a good programmer can find another way of fee protecting.

I was thinking the same thing when i saw his comment about how fly pool is down and how he said

I'll think about a more robust solution for such kind of situations, sry for this.
may be that should have been worded different.

I feel whats there to think about if you want your software used more then any one ease's listen to the people they are the ones that can make or break you ...
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How bad is breathing in air from GPU's? on: November 09, 2017, 09:29:05 AM
How bad is breathing in air from GPU's?

? no bad air i know of comes off of GPU ...... just a lot of heat that might be bad over time .

like some one else said some place else about mining

Bullshit, the normal system with banks, banknotes, coins etcetc pollute much much more. Bitcoin is much greener.

I know it says Bitcoins ....

so mining in general is ok and no bad air .. are you sure there isn't some thing leaking in your house ? .... or are you asking to know ? .

if you can deal with the noise in the same room you sleep in, go for it , i can't and why i have a room in my houses basement sound proofed .

heated solder is also melting GPU's aren't.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: http://zcash.flypool.org/ is down!!! on: November 09, 2017, 09:19:01 AM
ON fly pool /eth server page they own etc.ethermine.org as well as fly pool  for those that don't know

Unfortunately our hosting provider is currently experiencing issues in two EU data centers causing ALL our EU stratum mining nodes to be unavailable at the moment. We are sorry for the inconvenience and are in close contact with our hosting provider to restore access ASAP

Just the eu servers

zuradv try

zpool.guru it's really stable an seems to have a lot more server then fly pool .

Gen 1 is back up, need Gen 2 also for it to work.
So many websites and servers are still down.

nothing is back up for me... wondering what kind of gen(erator) they're using...

https://baileylineroad.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/steve_generator.jpg

Wouldn't surprise me!

If anyone is using ethermine pools, change you pool directories from eu1. to us1. It will be fine for the time being! Just changed mine.

http://dwarfpool.com  eth pool it is still mining the site is down but the pool is still mining ...I like there PPS payout system over ethermine pools pay out way....

right now it's not just fly pool dstm stopped working on .. I use zpool.guru https://zpool.guru and on there front page they say this about dstm...

For anyone using DSTM as their mining software, there seems to be an issue with it at the moment rendering anyone using it unable to connect to any pools. We encourage you to pick a new miner for now until the issue is resolved, we'll keep you updated if we find a fix.
See Getting started page for more information about available mining softwares.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.5.4 (Linux / Windows) on: November 09, 2017, 08:57:26 AM
Nice update finally up time there!

I switch from EWBF while on 12 cards your is less CPU consuming , also ive realised like 415-20sols (ewbf) 430-400 (yours) on Same OC.
great job keep working!

PS: Is there any know Android app where i can see mining status? other then webpage or SSH?

thanks

You might take a look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1932864.0  There might be also other monitoring software that supports zm that I'm not aware of.

The Dev of AWESOME Miner may add support for your miner he said he would look at it .I was just trying to make it easier for him to add to AM by asking for API support .. the Smart phone app looks cool but it doesn't match up to what AM can do,AM does more then monitor, an is all ways being improved by adding more.
316  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: AVALON 6 CURRENTLY on: November 08, 2017, 02:35:09 PM
Hey stugots2
Found this in the US for A6's it's temping my only problem my house can't handle that many A6's at once i have a room sound proofed for noise it's the Electricity that would be a bitch for me . i can't draw that much in my house with out the Electricity company sticking there nose in plus id have to up grade my service ... I'm happy at 200 amp service for now ...

https://www.parallelminer.com/product/35th-a6-kit-bitcoin-miner-2-avalon6/

@ lightfoot i told him a few times to hit you up glad you found him....

I'm a ware some one made a post about MinerWarez but with Parallelminer no custom fees or dealing with customs and there out in CA .... i think you get free shipping or less then if you order else were like out of the US ...

NO EU tax etc ... no tax unless your state has that kind of tax mine doesn't for out of state internet buys for instate online buys I have to pay sales taxes . . or any thing bought in my state as most states do .

stugots2 also like i said before be careful you can brick the MCU , I bricked two of them an unless you have the right tools to un brick them your F**** so don't update the MCU unless you need two and then be real care full which MCU file update you use it has to be at least 2 mb size Smiley just a tip ...

Last thought my A6 hashes better with a 1400 watt or higher Psu running it . that was advice i was given in one of the other A6 posts and it's true or mine does ... it seems using a 1200 watt Psu really won't cut it ..with my A6 on a 110 or 220 line i tested it on both with a few 1200 watt psu's ....so  i plug into a 2400 watt psu an it hashes @ 3.5 th or higher volts stay around 11.9 to 12 V unlike using a 1200 watter it hashes at 3.0 th or lower with lower voltage . temps seem to stay the same no mater what Psu i use 29 to 31 C.

Soon BTC dust will be worth a lot .so keep those old out dated S5 C1 or AVALON 4 if they work still, once BTC hit 10 k or higher they might be worth firing up ....
