Atlas, aren't you permabanned?
3022  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How CoinPal avoided PayPal fraud on: July 18, 2012, 04:11:58 AM
I think you sold me my first bitcoins at 0.26 each.  I bought like 500 coins, and actually did appreciate the phone call.  If I remember correctly, you wondered why I was interested in buying them, and I replied something along the lines of "I dunno, I think these are cool and just want to own a few to try them out.

lol. Talk about nostalgia. It's hard to think of Casascius as not knowing what bitcoins were.
3023  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Dank Bank Deposits - low risk, high interest - 2.5%-3.2% weekly on: July 17, 2012, 05:56:01 PM
I will admit when I saw dank's ridiculous and constantly growing lending requests I thought for sure he was a scammer.  Granted the loan requests continue to get larger and now for some reason he has the reputation to start a deposit program, but I thought for sure he'd have disappeared by now.

Perhaps someone should put a bet on betsofbitcoin as to whether or not dank will default on his obligations by the end of the year?
Is it because of my name or avatar?

Your name and avatar have nothing to do with it.  To be honest, the name and avatar actually lend credibility that you may actually be up to something that has the potential to generate returns.  It's your post history, revolving loan requests and inability to repay on time that would concern me as a potential depositor.

If OP doesn't understand why this is a bad thing to say if you want to be taken seriously, we have nothing more to discuss with him.

Hello investors and the alike!  I have a plan to make several millions of dollars but do not quite have the resources to begin.  It will begin with a process of fundraising until I am making several thousand a month, I have already figured out how to implement this quite simply/quickly.  The next stage will involve constructing large structures that will sell for 1000+% what they cost.  Demand is huge for this, there is currently no supply and I shouldn't have a problem finding interested buyers.  Nothing can or will stop me once I reach this point, I will be making a few million/year by now.  This is projected to be anywhere from 1-3 years in the future.  From there I will reinvest and expand into all types of fields that directly benefit the human race.  I hope to create hundreds of jobs and permanently alter the lives of those that have helped me throughout my life. Money holds no value to me and I am not doing this to achieve wealth, but to achieve happiness and sustainability.

I will reach my goal regardless if people invest into me

Do it then.

I want somebody to cite one time I have made a request this blatantly irrational.

For god's sake, even Atlas of all people called your requests in that thread irrational. That's like a handicapped person calling you retarded.

Your "big business plan" was to make seasteads to sell drugs. You were wrong about their market then and you're probably wrong about your plans now. A few couple-hundred BTC loans do not a business man maketh.

I asure you I'm not Atlas, this is my only account. I really don't know much about this Atlas guy. I'd love to make that bet.

You're an anonymous internet person with a forum account full of history of bad decisions and delusions of grandeur and you want to "asure" me of something?

Tell me more...

P.S. As long as you're anonymous, you're potentially anyone and everyone. That said, nice try Atlas.
3026  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Dank Bank Deposits - low risk, high interest - 2.5%-3.2% weekly on: July 16, 2012, 10:36:43 AM
Sorry to hear that.  However, that request is very real and I do have the ideas to put that capital to work.

Dank, in good business, money follows you. Prove your ideas first. Otherwise you're just another potentially scummy anonymous loser who will probably spend whatever he gets on..well, dank.
Sorry, I can't prove my ideas until I have the capital to do so, nor can I share them on here, even though I'm sure most of you would find what I'm doing interesting at the least. I find it quite judgmental that you would classify me as a scummy loser due to the fact I respect privacy.  And thanks for telling me how I would spend my money.  Because I definitely haven't bought any dank for a few months.

I take it back, I have proved my ideas with myself and a few others.

You talk like Atlas. I'd be willing to bet you that it's more likely that you're Atlas then you getting $1million from this community.
3027  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB][Import from South Korea to USA] Yamakasi Catleap Monitor on: July 16, 2012, 05:06:43 AM
I can afford quite a few of these if it would be cheaper to ship them all to the same place, and then I could sell them to other forum members in the US.

I wouldn't bet money that they are actually cheaper here than wherever you are. LG TVs for example are significantly cheaper in Canada and the US than they are domestically. Same with a lot of the Korean made phone handsets is my understanding.

Honestly this is true. Korean products in Korea cost more in Korea because they lock imports down and can get away with it.

Thanks. Should of remembered you were there. I remember your Korean teen model thing you had going awhile ago.  Ataranlen seemed to want some too.

Ah you mean Yoon Yeonghwa? lol. She's not mine. She did just open up a new website though, it was on reddit and her facebook, http://www.posadoll.com
I didn't mean "your" model. I guess I could of worded it better. By your I mean project, like your Korean teen model project

Oh, it's not mine. I'm just helping her get Bitcoins integrated. She's running the whole thing. She's like the female version of Zhou Tong lol

Yay, more completely anonymous, untraceable "loans" and "businesses" with absolutely no recourse against theft. Dank, I don't care if you're a scammer or not, but I know you're a shitty businessman because no trustworthy businessman would even ask people to invest in him yet refuse to provide identification.

When you're doxxed, you'll find your life goes a lot smoother.
3033  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITCOIN MAGAZINE ARRIVED! on: July 15, 2012, 03:54:14 AM
Since there seems to be a repeating trend of asking customer support questions in this thread I'll leave this address here again for support from anything related to improper shipments, damaged packages, incorrect addresses, and order inquiries: info@bitcoinmagazine.co.uk

For advertising inquiries: ads@bitcoinmagazine.co.uk

Thank you!

When should we expect issue #2 of the magazine?

#2 is already done (although we reserve the right to replace current articles if they become "untimely"), #3 is almost done, still hammering out the issues with a proper timely digital release. The online catalog to order #2 will be up shortly to allow orders.

So the Ellets are going to be manufactured in that watch shop, sold exclusively on the Silk Road, and you are Satoshi? K.
/sarcasm

Ellets are going to be manufactured somewhere on the Silk Road and sold at watch shops.

Hey, Matthew. I haven't seen you post over at that Bitcoinica thread. You feeling okay, or not eating and sleeping well like... ?

Still waiting for my pre-order... I'm not even getting replies to emails sent to info@bitcoinmagazine.co.uk

Casascius coins arrived already and I ordered them 2 weeks ago  Grin

Maybe the Spanish police are blocking it. If info@bitcoinmagazine.co.uk isn't working (which it is, for everyone else apparently), try info@bitcoinmagazine.net. Also make sure you're not using some scummy Tor anonymous email that gets marked as spam instantly by every mail provider.
3039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] The world's first handheld Bitcoin device, the Ellet! on: July 12, 2012, 11:54:53 PM
UPDATE: I've been notified by our legal that direct investments into the Ellet Systems company in the UK would require signed HNWI statements before even discussing investments so I won't be discussing any investments in this thread in the future. Please contact by email so that we can sign the proper paperwork (either High Net Worth Individual or Sophisticated Investor statement) before discussing.

A "Resource Based Economy" is like saying a "Meal Based Restaurant"

I'd eat that restaurant.

The whole thing?

 Shocked

I'd give it a shot.
