Would you pay taxes if you could live off bitcoins? I already live off of bitcoins and I pay taxes. This thread is ignorant because it assumes that Bitcoin will eliminate localized currencies, which is highly illogical for numerous reasons, and in addition forgets that people are already choosing to pay taxes to the network and pretty much every product and service provider in Bitcoin.

Another little tibit. Look at one of the symbols, the 'square & compass'. Draw a line connecting the tips of the compass, and another line connecting the corners of the square. What do you have?
A bitcoin?!?!

I totally intend to keep this issue at the forefront and to call out the masons on this forum. Freemasons put controlling the media and rhetoric at the top of their list of priorities so I figure they make up at least 5-10% of this forum.
They'll also be the main people funding nice hard copy bitcoin publications to keep the conversation in their ballpark.
...wait for it...wait for it...
Welp, you got me. Even though I only knew who freemasons were after I came to the bitcoin forums, I am a life long freemason and intend to destroy bitcoin with fair and balanced articles for a magazine that raises awareness of Bitcoin (EVIL REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY).

Why is he a mod at all?
He's one of the more active users of the Spanish section. There have been no complaints about his moderation. Do we have to remind everyone of his http://bitcoin-shitlist.com/2012/02/16/paraipan/Basically he's a nosey busy-body. Tizzy, if I were you, I wouldn't let him get to you. The worst he's going to do is report you to the Spanish police. People don't get the scammer tag because parapain doesn't like them. Relax.

Why is 6.66 so popular? I've seen it several times today at arbitrary and random times. Am I just seeing it because it stands out or is and indication of an imminent apocalypse? I can't decide.
This same phenomenon happened to me in 2008 right before 2009.. It continually showed up. I was not familiar with the Bible yet but I kept seeing that number every where and remember asking myself the same question. Although I leaned on the conclusion that it was simply standing out, after seeing it again and again in less likely circumstances, I began to re-question and have now concluded it to be more than coincidence.

Still nothing in Texas.
It's entirely possible it was lost in the mail. Regardless, my apologies in advance. Please email info@bitcoinmagazine.co.uk and let them know. I already emailed them a week or two ago and they said they were sending a second one. Will they have to send a third? Oh, if that's the case then of course not.

We heard you liked mining so we put some mining in your mining so you could mine while you mine.

If you don't hate the nature of banks, you sure will when capital controls come into play.
Just posting this here, so I can dig it back up when this starts to occur for a nice "remember when I said..." post. I simply don't trust banks, at all. Nice people work for companies and organizations that are reprehensible all the time. My complaint isn't with them, more that the bank exists in its current form and is a parasite in the financial system.
I'd diversify and prepare if I were you.
Well spoken and exactly the same way I feel.

Btw Vicente is in Korea with me. I don't think that Chicago conversation idea will work too well.

@Matthew. In the second picture of you at the bank I noticed your nice Asian form as you hand him the magazine. Presenting it with both hands and a slight bow, proper. Your no Korea noob. I lol'ed If banks are bad, then BitInstant is bad. How do you feel about credit unions then? Trusts? Any kind of organization or group that handles money for another other group or organization?

For those questioning his work, Vicente has helped with the Bitcoin Christmas Special 2011 in Korea.

I hate you. Just kidding, good luck Vicente.
When you get everything sorted let me know and I can help as an actor if you need it.

People confusing "than" and "then" drives me nuts. They don't sound the same and they aren't synonyms - how the hell can you confuse them, especially in writing?
There are worse problems then that, but if you don't like it than why don't you do something about it?

Everytime I see these threads I can't help but wonder why people haven't thought to list http://www.bitcoinmagazine.net. We have over 20,000+ active readers for online and 3,000+ for print, are distributed in Barnes & Noble (starting Sept.2012) and have a focused readership where people actually -read- the ads from both inside and outside the Bitcoin community.

Just seen the front page of the magazine from Matthews link in sig.
So fucking true.
The corrupt fear us. The honest support us. The heroic join us.
It's kind of funny that even in the magazine, they have the quote... We don't want to lead with "anonymous." Yet they have the Guy Fawke's mask on the cover. Does the Bitcoin Magazine team disagree with the quote? Or can they just get away with more? We didn't lead with anonymous. We're just really big fans of V for Vendetta. You should go watch it!
