3261  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [VELIKA LISTA] Hardverski novčanici (80+) on: November 21, 2022, 06:41:30 PM
Kakva glupost i bacanje para!

3263  Economy / Services / Re: Safe Hardware Wallet Deliveries Via Amazon Lockers on: November 21, 2022, 06:14:24 PM
So I made a service that lets you get a hardware wallet delivered near you without giving up any personal information. I am sure a lot of people here already have a hardware wallet, but I would love to hear any feedback y'all might have. Thanks and have a great day!
Is this service working for all countries with Amazon lockers or it's only available in United States?
I think this can be a good idea but maybe you can expand this beyond hardware wallets for other small items.
It's cool to accept Monero (like you say in your FAQ page) but I would like to pay also with Bitcoin and Lightning Network if possible.

Good thing is that this service is open source, and code can be inspected on github page:
https://github.com/DecentralizeJustice/anonymousLocker

EDIT: I found out that this service is only available in US, so I would like to see this working in Europe also.

3265  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Akcija kupujemo Bitcoine svaki dan on: November 20, 2022, 11:09:01 PM

3266  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Grijači koji rudare bitcoine on: November 20, 2022, 11:02:55 PM

3268  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: November 20, 2022, 10:39:04 PM

3270  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: November 18, 2022, 12:21:49 PM
That doesn't give the company the right to sell your bananas and speculate on turning a profit. If they don't want rotting bananas, they shouldn't allow them. But they do, because they earn money from trading bananas shitcoins.
They don't make money only by trading shitcoins, they even created and sponsored creation of various crap coins like Solana, and all other exchange coins like FTT, BNB, etc.
Everything can find it's buyer if advertised a lot with pretty label, so you could literally sell shit if you package it in nice box and hire famous people to promote it publicly.
That is why you can see Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie and other actors promoting eating of worms and bugs.
3271  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: November 18, 2022, 12:10:01 PM
The only thing with the design of it, it's quite possible that it doesn't pass safety regulations in many of the countries. Seems like the US will be fine, but it was pulled from the UK for a reason, and I imagine it's to do with the design of it. Protection is all well, and good for the driver/passengers, but colliding with one of these is going to devastate any other car.
Than how are all the trucks getting passed safety regulations?
I am not proposing anyone should buy any Tesla vehicles that are basically self-destructive time bombs on wheels.
This is what recently happened with ''safu'' shaped Tesla vehicle in China that resulted in killing of two people after driver lost control with auto-pilot:

...
Hold your horses... I think that next month report will show much more activity for local boards, maybe thanks to FTX collapse.
Good news for our local board is that old King Slacko is finally back after summer break, and I don't think Daniel will hold his crown any longer Smiley
It's crazy to see that our local troll policeman Snowshow was third most active member in our local boar...
3273  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: trezor btc addresses kyc&nokyc on: November 17, 2022, 09:40:04 PM
Can someone tell me if it is acceptable to store KYC bitcoin and non kyc bitcoin on the same trezor 1 device?

I would be using a seperate account within the same device but will this provide total seperation of these differently acquired coins
It's your device so you can do whatever you want with it.
Trezor has the option of creating multiple addresses, but you can also cerate separate accounts and name them differently, or even better you can create additional hidden wallet with a passphrase.
This way you won't have any connections between addresses, but remember to make appropriate labels and do good address management.

So seperate accounts within the device can all be linked to the device ?
No, if you did what I said previously.

Luckily they have never been mixed.
Mixing is not a bad thing.
It just hides your past activity and connection with your real identity.
3274  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 35% off Keystone Hardware Wallets Code on: November 17, 2022, 09:33:43 PM
This discount pushes the price of their base model device under $80, which is impressive.
Sadly, the hardware is not open-source, but the firmware is and you get an air-gapped device. Sounds like good value to me, but I'd have to try it for myself.
That is a good price, but few bucks more for Pro version is absolutely worth it, battery is much better and rechargeable, there is fingerprint sensor, and it has Anti-Tamper Self-Destruct Mechanism.
I am not sure how good that anti-tamper mechanism is, but it's better to have it if you can, and Essential version doesn't have it at all.
Now they started with even bigger 40% discount, but you need to do some twitter activity and join their discord, maybe you can even write few words about Passport wallet Wink

3275  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: QR codes vs NFC in Bitcoin Wallets on: November 17, 2022, 09:13:32 PM
But what about NFC? (Re: QR codes vs NFC in Bitcoin Wallets) NFC is only used in hardware wallets from what I can tell.
I personally don't like NFC and I never used any Bitcoin wallet that uses NFC but most new models of smartphones support this technology so it would be trivial to add support for software wallets.
If you can use NFC to pay something with fiat currencies using your smartphone, I don't see why this should be different for bitcoin wallets.
All you need to have in other end is receiving payment terminal with NFC or other smartphone to accept payment.
NFC is fairly new but there is already list of supported wallets, I just don't know how accurate it is:

3276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unconfirmed transaction is not even visible on block explorers on: November 17, 2022, 08:57:22 PM
Yesterday I was transferring my Bitcoins out of Guarda wallet (as I had just swapped some Ethereum for it) to my Electrum wallet, with a fee of 6 sats/vB - this was before I looked at the mempool volume.
I think that Guarda wallet is using some third parties like ChangeNow for exchanging coins, so this could be the root cause problem for your transaction.
Few years ago I tested Guarda wallet desktop version and I didn't liked it, I think it still had old address formats and all interface was terrible.
I would really stay away from closed source wallets like this, there are much better alternative both for mobile and dekstop.

Did balance of your BTC address changed in any way on your wallet and in explorers?
Maybe you should try importing private key or seed words to other wallet and see if everything works or not.

3277  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BTCapsule is a program to easily timelock your bitcoin for inheritance on: November 17, 2022, 08:28:20 PM
BTCapsule no longer uses time servers or stores your personal private key. It now creates paper wallets and uses Bitcoin’s OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY feature to timelock your bitcoin until any date you choose. So there’s no longer anything to hack into, and it’s impossible to redeem the timelock script before the date because the network won’t accept it.
This is a nice improvement but you might want to add version number to make clear difference compared with older version.
For example you can name current version BTCapsule 2.0 or something like that, and older one should be deprecated.
When I go to your website to download BTCapsule I see comming soon notification, so this is it not released yet?

I am not concerned with the network changing drastically enough to make the redeem script invalid. That would require a hard fork and millions (billions?) of people accepting the new network.
I would not totally exclude possibility for Bitcoin hard fork happening in future, and I would fully support it if this change would improve privacy for Bitcoin.
3278  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis' crypto lending (Genesis Global Capital) halts withdrawals on: November 17, 2022, 04:34:05 PM
Optimistic? Nope, at least not for all that DeFi shit that's going down one after another but I am not panicking and full of doom & gloom either (I do expect price to go down a little bit more though). Its just that with everything that has happened in the last six month. bitcoin price ain't that bad at all.
I hope defi crap is done for good, but I have a feeling we are going to see something similar in next bull run, whenever that is.
Price of Bitcoin can certainly go much lower, but I know people are getting ready to load up again if it goes around 10k.

Doesn't that sound like being the first client of a Ponzi scheme?
Be the first guy that gets that big APY before the company runs out of money since obviously, their whole business model is rotten to the core and nothing like what they are advertising?
Banks are the ultimate Ponzi scheme, especially when you combine them with constant inflation and decreasing value of all fiat currencies.
But hey don't worry, they will soon ''reset'' everything with their new CBDC crap that is already rolling out in NY first phase experiment.
People should tell them FU and reject any tests with this new digital crap.
3279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are exchanges the only way BTC can be purchased? on: November 17, 2022, 03:53:01 PM
I was reading how btc used to be bought back in the day. You either mined it yourself or found someone who had it and made a deal with them. But now, is the only way to buy BTC through an exchange?
No.
You can buy Bitcoin directly from other trusted forum members, or with P2P trading in your local area.
There are always ways you can find people without using centralized exchanges, but you can also use decentralized exchanges like Bisq.
This is best way to avoid to buy/sell Bitcoin and to avoid extra complication with kyc verification, and to be safe from losing money in websites like FTX.
3280  Other / Meta / Re: Ninjastic.space - BitcoinTalk Post/Address archive + API on: November 17, 2022, 03:48:11 PM
I have tried many times to view my profile details from this website but why my profile details are not showing up?  Please request the knowledgeable members of the forum to solve my problem.
This is weird, and I think it's probably a bug, but you can try contacting developer TryNinja and see if he can fix this for you manually.
I checked several newbie profiles and they all have normal graphical board activity pie chart shown, so you are the only one I saw with this issue.
Maybe there was some issues with Ninjastic servers on the day when you registered in forum on October 19.
