think of ALL the Bears who were raging here just a month ago. we even have one for a forum moderator.
Burnt bears are delicious. They’ll be done once we move back to double digit. Time to get out the charts with Fibonacci retracements up to 17/21.

I’m sure he’s long now.
no way. It has to be the cognitive dissonance that won’t allow him to turn up here anymore. Or maybe shame.

Happy New Year, Nagle.

This forum already is a mess, it was designed as a quarantine, after all.

I can see both sides of it. Overall I think Zhou does a good job of presenting himself and maintaining a good character, though I still think he shouldn't have made the explicit recommendations he did. It's better to do a public "recommendation" explaining the reason for it, rather than secretly betting against own customers. A post in some thread on the Bitcoin forums’ speculation section is not the place to do a public announcement for Bitcoinica. edit: Good to see you acknowledging that, zhou.

I agree. Those long-squeeze statements were out of character and a bad move on his part. Doesn't change anything for me with regard to Bitcoinica. I haven't used it and don't have any intentions to, not because I think it's necessarily a bad service, but because I simply don't want to get involved in that sort of leveraged trading.
Same here, although I thought about buying Bitcoins with all my Bitcoin savings as margin, but ended up leaving it at a test of 2 BTC for 2 BTC, which are up from 3.5. I’m not going to use it because it’s too risky for me, but if you are really certain about a move (or certain about a bottom), it should be a great tool. I wonder if the ability of buying BTC on margin will have the same disastrous effect upwards as shorting had downwards?

LOL! please think of a fix that will make everyone money.
Well, the best way for you to make money right now is to take advantage of the imminent long squeeze. Price at the time: ~4.2

Too bad those dollars buy less and less Bitcoins.

By the way, in my opinion what he did should be called market manipulation and is criminal.

I don't get the joke...
There is no Bitcoin economy. Bitcoin is currently nothing but a USD middleman USD => BTC => USD and a speculative investment. Or have you seen people earning Bitcoin wages yet?

the bitcoin economy
HAHAHAHA

Wow, tempted to take the contrarian position to this incredibly bullish sentiment.
i'm not surprised. the Bull will shake alot of ppl off before this thing is over. So what’s the target you’ll (begin to) sell at? 3, 4 or 5 digits?

BUY HIGH SELL LOW Seriously though, 5 for 2011 would have been superb.

1st attempt of 5$ officially failed.

yes, as usual Proudhon has it backwards.
i never sold as we tanked. in fact, i accumulated more. and i certainly will NOT sell on the way back up to 32 as i'm expecting it to go way beyond that to at least gold parity.
the gold bubble is over and all that money is going to come here.
I confess, I sold … … only to buy more cheaper (the capitulation sells were always good for at least short term greens). Agree with your attitude. I will not sell as long as Bitcoin has such a ridiculously low market cap, except when I’m certain I can buy more lower.
