341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coin memes don't have a project? Is it worth buying for the long term? on: November 24, 2023, 01:49:37 PM
Are meme coin worth buying in the long term?
What is your reason for buying meme coin?
The fact that they have no use case and the too unclear direction of these projects, I don't think they are worthy enough to accumulate.
Maybe some had seen it profitable due to its unbelievable price increase in its early days in the market which made many people become crazy believing that this would be their chance to become rich.

Some are investing blindly with these meme coins but soon they will realize the mistake they've been making.
If we have a reason for buying, we make sure also that we are choosing projects that carry potential, not just for fun.
342  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some people say they will never sell BTC. Is there any reason for that? on: November 24, 2023, 01:29:55 PM
So, time to time, I see some people saying they will never sell BTC. And I am thinking why is that? (I mean I understand that you can't say never, there will be a time you will have to use your BTC). Anyway, is there any calculations, reasoning behind this? Or it is just pure maximalism?

If there are reasons I would like to discuss them.
Never sell their BTC? I don't believe it otherwise, they don't have a purpose of buying this.
People are investing in Bitcoin for profit, not just holding it forever. Meaning, it is a lie as sooner or later they will sell them, they just wait for the right time.

If you know someone who is buying Bitcoin, try to ask them the reason why and you get the answer. In fact, the price of Bitcoin continues to grow because of active trade -buy and sell demand. Never selling means that we are not helping the market to grow but stopping it.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 24, 2023, 03:28:46 AM
If there is a improvement, I think it will be more on Wemby as it's obvious that he is a work in progress and being experiment by the great coach Pop. And if I'm not mistaken, in the first 5-6 games he was just used sparingly, maybe trying to avoid the kid from getting injured.

And although he is great, he is still raw as you watch him play. That's one advantage of him though, he can and will developed in the next couple of years and he will really be look scary. Both Chet and Wemby has a lot of potential but it will be a very close race for the ROY.

I disagree with that. In my opinion, Coach Pop isn't the kind of coach to put all the team's focus on one player leading the charge. No doubt, Wemby's got talent, but this squad should stick to the old-school Spurs style – solid defense and lots of players getting in the mix. The Spurs hit their peak, at least from what I recall, during the Duncan, Parker, and Manu era. When Leonard joined, things got even better. Not sure if we'll witness the Spurs in that prime situation again.

Coach Pop finds himself in a tough spot where his once stellar legacy could take a hit. After a successful stretch with the big 3 and Leonard, his team is now on a downward spiral and is currently the NBA's worst. While he recently inked a deal with the management, if the team's performance doesn't pick up, there's a fear he might retire prematurely. It would be a shame if he ends up getting the boot after achieving success in the past.

I'm rolling with Phoenix in the opening game and putting my money on Ginebra for the second one. I just can't picture ROS coming out on top against a fired-up Ginebra squad hungry for redemption after taking an L in their previous matchup.

Seems like everyone's banking on Ginebra for the win, expecting some redemption, and chances are, they'll clinch it with a big lead. No offense to ROS, but let's be real, they can't ride solely on their rep because, let's face it, they've been seriously struggling. Looking at the current standings, ROS is 0-3, so until they start bagging consistent wins, it's not smart to put our money on them.

I just checked the spread, it's -7.5. I reckon that's manageable.

345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you pay for signals? And how much ? on: November 23, 2023, 09:57:18 PM
Dlyou pay for signals? And how much ?
What's your monthly expenses for trading signals? Yearly?
I don't pay but i read alot people pay for signals so how good results If this ?
I’ve tried to pay for a signal before but it’s a one time payment only for around $50 at that time.
At first its a good signal group but it turns out a scam group technically all the participants lose the money and that group fades away. Signal group is risky, they can give you a good signal at first but its not consistent so the best investment that you can do is to do your own research and know how to trade on your own.
That is really going to happen as they want to make you trust them and purchase more, sometimes they demand higher payments and promise more profitable signals. Unfortunately, all of these things are just a trick and after a few days, they start to ignore you and give you wrong signals. Well, these people are not the controllers of the market anyway so why we should have to trust their signal?

Yeah, better rely on ourselves and improve our knowledge rather than relying on scammers. Because the only thing that would help us succeed is just ourselves, not the other people.

Meanwhile , Clippers are having 3 victories in a row and by the way they play , I think the 4th one will come too.  Cool
Westbrook coming off the bench has been working so far. There were reports that he personally requested to be "relegated" from his starting role so the team could start playing better and winning. It's not that I'm surprised with the decision to sacrifice but kudos to him if that's what really happened.
Yes totally agree. This is because Russell Westbrook gave up being in the starting lineup. Also don't forget Daniel Theis really help Clippers! 20+ points in 21 mins. However, they only won against weaker teams specifically the Rockets and had back to back wins against the San Antonio Spurs.

We'll find out if the LA Clippers are really strong in the next fnour games Pelicans, Mavericks, Nugget and Kings.

I wouldn't label the Rockets as a weak team; they're sitting pretty at number 8 with a win rate above .500. The Spurs, on the other hand, seem to be in a bit of a rut, struggling to find their winning ways. But let's see how it unfolds. The Clippers are going head-to-head with the Pels, Zion's crew, who've been on a roll with 4 out of 5 wins in their last games. Things are about to get interesting starting this game.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When does the moment come when the gambler loses control? on: November 20, 2023, 04:07:30 PM
At the moment we win, we usually think that we can possibly win more if we continue gambling. It turns out that our mindset of winning builds strong rather than thinking that we can possibly lose. But yes, it changes everything after suffering losses and failure, and the purpose of why a gambler continues gambling at this time is to chase the money they've lost. In the end, we become a victim of our own actions from the wrong mindset and uncontrollable emotions. It can possibly happen to anyone, especially for newcomers and I believe this seems normal until we realize and correct it.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 20, 2023, 03:23:54 PM

To me, gambling is a theater, a form of entertainment that I pay for, not a way to get rich quick, for them it's a must to win by force, one question seem to change his mood though.

I asked him why he isn't rich yet if he is actively gambling everytime since all this while, this changed his mood and I took a turn.

Perhaps, that is true because if we really have to clearly understand the meaning of gambling, it is just having a 50/50 chance of winning which we don't have any control. Unlike investment where we can lead its direction to positive results and bigger chances of earning a profit while gambling doesn't offer such a thing aside from getting entertained. As we choose to gamble, we accept the fact that we are doing this to enjoy playing, not with the aim of winning the prize. But somehow, what is on our minds is that we gamble as we hope to multiply our money and become rich instantly.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you in profit? on: November 20, 2023, 03:00:03 PM
There is no profit gain from gambling other than enjoying the moment while you lose a huge amount and win some. Because it is undeniable that in gambling we often lose rather than win, yet having a good experience will somehow give us a reason why we keep on gambling even if we lose more. If we assume that all gamblers are in profit, these casino operators will file for bankruptcy but they don't as they are into making money rather than letting these gambler wins more than what they can make.
350  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Bear Market over? on: November 20, 2023, 11:22:36 AM
Hi guys I was wondering that Bitcoin crossed 37000 dollars is there any chances that Bitcoin bear market over and we might see good greeny day.
What are your thoughts 🤔💭
The bear market is over IMO but never it says that we are already in a bullish trend. The current increase in price is not enough to consider that we are bullish already but the progress seems to be very positive for a greeny day. However, we can't expect the movement to go straight high as the dump is certainly going to happen whether we like it or not.

We still need to observe the movement of the market and also be updated with the news as this has a huge impact on the price and demand.
Next year is scheduled for halving, we probably see another pump.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling and Invest in gambling. on: November 19, 2023, 09:56:00 PM
What you are trying to do will increase gambling addiction, which is wrong. I can say it's also going to increase the crime rate in society. If you give out a loan, maybe they decided to submit their mobile phone as collateral. If they lose the money, and I know they will want to get their mobile device back, they can end up doing illegal things just to get money to pay back your loan.

It's better you just get something else to do with your money. I am not in support of your idea. it's going to cause more harm than good to individuals and even to society.
I also don't support this idea, he takes advantage of gambling addicts who are experiencing losing bets to offer loans with a predetermined interest amount, they will take loans because they just want to have more funds to gamble and recover losses but their minds are not focused on the loans that must be paid high interest. I think he should stop the bad idea of how to invest in gambling which is wrong, he will create illegal actions from the borrower to pay off his loan and he also has no guarantee of being able to get the loan money back if the borrower flees to another region or country.
That is what I think as well, he even pushed that person, that gambler to become heavily addicted and compromise more of their finances.
It was a profitable business as per see but yes, it was not a helping idea that helps someone who falls into addiction will stop and realize their doings instead, he used to feed them with his money and loans and take advantage of the situation while these gamblers are hungry to win.
He is just focusing on a possible huge profit but misses the huge risk that he will face later.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: November 19, 2023, 09:37:26 PM
Gambling is dependent on luck, but we can be on the profiting side if we know when to stop and take a break. Most of us don't follow it, just the wins keep us high and we go for increased bet value. The same ends our wager at the shortest. To be on the safer side better choice is to spend on sports betting than casino games.
Majority says that gambling is depends on luck but some professional gamblers believes that it also comes with self strategy in playing, It requires a main strategy which consists of the decisions of how much to bet on the various games and when to quit. I agree that most of us doesn't follow the basic steps in a gambling because we are carried away on our winnings and and I admit that I sometimes become like that too.

Strategy is a part of the winning piece for skilled games like sports betting and card games but if we talk about lotteries, luck is really what you need and hope. This is why professional gamblers prefer to gamble where they can maximize their knowledge, skills, and experience as their chance of winning is big but still, without luck, it seems so hard. That is why we called it a gamble it means that we have no assurance of winning but we only have a chance. That is the reason why we should have to know how to control ourselves, especially with money.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Doge coin everly hit $1? on: November 19, 2023, 12:15:40 PM
Why do altcoin don't have the characteristics of bitcoin? After the creation of bitcoin thousands of coin surface the crypto market, some altcoin became a huge success but some still reamain dumant and has no hope of even attaining the high of $1

Dogecoin is one of a long time COIN that has been in existence for over 10years now. since December 2013 dogecoin hit 0.0000869 on may 6 2015 and today is $0.076 now am wondering if it could reach $1price after 10years compeard to Bitcoin.
Dogecoin supporters are surely hoping for that but even when the bullish season comes again still don't have any assurance for its price surge.
But on the other side, there is no reason also for its price to reach $1 if the demand is still low. It was already a great 10 years of its existence and it was still there to continue to survive. For me, it was good enough to reward such long years of existence knowing that Dogecoin is not a valuable coin in the crypto market. In fact, with the support of Elon Musk it was recognized but I don't think what happen if there were no Elon Musk.
354  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes to watch out for on: November 19, 2023, 11:30:44 AM
If a person is new to trading, he should not try future trading. Most novice traders are tempted to follow other traders in future trading. They think future trading is the same as spot trading but it is different.

If they are not careful and do not have sufficient skills to analyze the market, they will have difficulty and will panic when the market changes too quickly. Another problem with trading is that someone can become greedy and want bigger profits. He will not want to close his trade because he thinks the market will still move in the direction he wants.

One more thing that @OP should add is only to use money you can afford to trade. Most traders still use all-in to trade because they hear the news circulating. They think that market conditions will change soon so they can enter and make huge profits by going all-in.
Perhaps, they should know first the consequences of trading without sufficient knowledge. Sadly, with the influence of social media influencers pretending experts in trading, most newbies fall into traps.

We all come from newbies but this time with so many tutorials and advice, it was easy for newcomers to learn which will make them not totally newbies when they start trading. But what it makes difficult for them is to adapt to the situation and understand the behavior of the market. And most of all, the struggle to handle their emotions when crisis comes.

It turns out Curry was playing; I thought he'd be out due to injury, so that was a surprise. It's a positive for the Warriors since they really need a win. However, the familiar story unfolds, they struggle to protect their lead, failing to contain OKC's big 3rd quarter run. Three quarters down, and the Warriors are only ahead by 2 points going into the fourth. Let's see if the Warriors can pull this off.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is exchange based tokens worth for hold? on: November 18, 2023, 09:53:56 PM
Most of them don't as people don't want to hold a token only because they want a discount on trading fees. But there are some exchange like binance that offer other services like participating in an IEO and other events from that exchange. The most notable one is participating in IEO and most of the time investor got a good ROI so if someone is looking for participating in IEO and holding that exchange token will help him do that then it is worth holding for him.
That seems an interesting option that would bring attention to the users of the said exchange. But I don't think a lot of people would do that unless that token to worth holding as well. Because I don't expect the reward it is really tempting enough that old players will consider it, maybe for new users.

After all, the majority will still choose to invest and hold known coins rather than these exchange-based tokens. Some will consider this in support of the exchange but not the intention of making a profit.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How high can the transaction fees become? on: November 18, 2023, 09:29:04 PM
But question now is will this not affect business in the ecosystem? What is happening on the bitcoin network (blockchain) is not really speak well to the system. How can someone want to make a transaction of $100 and transaction fee is $12.5. in my country Currency to dollar exchange rate right now, that amount is very much big. So if such amount is only meant for transaction fee then many people will not do transaction for a long period of time. And this will not end anytime soon so many people bitcoin will stock in their wallets for long time. And as I have said before no one can calculate the future of this scenario and only thing here is for everyone to wait until the scenario is over.
Imagine paying $15 for a single transaction, nobody will spend those fees anymore, not this time until the fees come down as I'd rather use fiat money. This is the reason why Bitcoin is boldly considered as an investment, not a currency due to the volatile nature of its fees and price.

We're not sure how long the situation will be over. Some of my transactions stuck up and I don't want to increase the fees just to complete, I couldn't afford to do it. I'd say that increasing fees is also a reason why people were holding, not just only because the price is cheap.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most important thing in a betting site on: November 18, 2023, 01:24:23 PM
Assuming we're sticking to reputable gambling sites, the first thing I check, and it's a priority for me, is the withdrawal process. I prefer it to be instant because, as a gambler, the excitement peaks when cashing out winnings. We don't win every time, so successfully withdrawing from a gambling site is already a significant win for us. If there's a delay, it can kill our excitement. It's a major concern for me if they don't process withdrawals instantly, especially if the support response is along the lines of "withdrawals are processed within 24 hours." That's a big red flag.

Good news for Shakur fans out there, we have a new champion!

Shakur Stevenson becomes earns WBC lightweight title in decision win over Edwin De Los Santos

Quote
Shakur Stevenson is now a three-division champion. Stevenson, the former Olympic silver medalist, grinded out a tough win over Edwin De Los Santos on Thursday night to claim the WBC lightweight crown in Las Vegas.

How do you rate the fight? Are you entertain or got bored? How about the betting side, anyone here won their bet?

I did not watch the fight but there are social media posts regarding to how his opponent's deal with his loss, something that mentioned about his there to fight but Shakur's way is to track him to get the point and just make sure to win it, I mean, my interpretation with what De los Santos wanted to implied is Shakur just secure the by win points and not the way a warrior fought.

Though there's nothing that De Los Santos can do now, if ever they will meet again he needed to adjust with the strategy Shakur used against him if he wanted to win.

Yeah, I saw the frustration. Shakur didn't break any boxing rules, so his win is fair game. However, in this boxing scene, especially when compared to international competitions like the Olympics,  this boxing we saw was more about entertainment. The reality is, his style of running to secure a win doesn't really entertain the fans. It seems to be increasing his number of haters, and these haters just keep showing up in most of his fights. LOL.

Boxers should be categorized between Runners and Warriors.  Smiley
360  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is it difficult for people to get capital easily? on: November 18, 2023, 11:39:00 AM
It is not always an easy thing to get capital because while you are still making your savings, you still need to feed yourself, pay your rent, and sometimes assist some relative who might be in serious need at the moment. Getting a capital for your business involves you being very intentional about it, it demands discipline and a whole lot of commitment if not, it will become very difficult before you will be able to raise something reasonable.

We're not all coming from rich families that even without working hard, we can still start a business borrowed from the banks and that is because of the family background. But like us who are only reliant on current job earnings, that is pretty hard to make savings for capital especially if we are only earning the minimum salary. That is why running our own business is less priority than our needs and daily expenses. In fact, many people have been working for many years but still no savings have been made.
