341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer's fan took his own life due to addiction on: March 20, 2024, 11:28:43 AM
In my opinion, all those gambling streamers should be exterminated like the plague.  Most of them earn money by endorsing gambling platforms and streaming games with fake money, drawing in younger susceptible viewers vulnerable to addiction.

You are some how right, these streamers are given free money on the house tab to play whatever games...win or lose and keep showing  these big payouts that they won and their viewers believe this is possible for them to win, but then again I believe these guys do put disclaimers to avoid the finger pointing and let's also not forget there is an aspect of due diligence especially that gambling is for person's above the age of 18 who are supposed to have the element of knowing right and wrong or differentiating fake from real.
Otherwise, it's unfortunate a life was lost because of the problem of gambling addiction... perhaps all gambling platforms need a gambling time out to allow people to reset.

This is exactly why Twitch banned gambling livestreams.
Not sure if this is justified to be honest!!! Simple solution is to ensure the audience is over a certain age to ensure everyone has the ability to make their own choices...

Btw, If they ban streamers affiliated to gambling, then we might as well ban gambling ads on television, billboards , newspapers etc because all this leads to getting more players to gambling ..
342  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc new oil for USA on: March 19, 2024, 10:26:29 PM
I don't think that the USA are ready to mix the politics with Bitcoin, and already they have their hands full with this whole Ukraine war support and the elections coming up...I don't think this new Oil line will be a great selling point for the politicians!!!

Btw, if BTC was really considered as the new Oil..
price wouldn't be at free fall just as what we seeing at the moment... whatever is going on too early to tell  Cool
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is best for a player to draw the line? on: March 19, 2024, 06:11:51 PM
Just for discussions and ways to educate or share knowledge with ourselves when and how to draw the line when gambling,  because for some reasons, some gamblers have arrived at unstable realities because of the lack of stoppage time while gambling so let's talk.
When do you stop?
The problem with gambling is usually not the losing but the winning, if players win say on their first bet or first couple of spins and planned to be playing for an hour...then if you choose to go again then chances are that the house will win back that money!! So, from what I just shared this is the difference that seperates smart gamblers from the losing gamblers, hence the saying "winners know when to stop!"

Btw, as a gambler...I think everyone knows when it's a good or bad day and if it's one of those bad days you having don't force things , it's okay to walk away and live to fight another day..which is also where we draw the line!!
344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is that one reason that motivates you to invest in bitcoin even at ATH ? on: March 19, 2024, 02:18:23 PM
Bitcoin touched new ATH in 2024 of around $69000. There is fear in some investors that there can be a big correction from here. But, there are many investors who are still investing in bitcoin even if the prices are near ATH. What is your one primary reason to keep investing in BTC even at these levels.
Believing in the technolog that promises financial freedom should be the number 1 reason to invest in crypto, and having seen bitcoin grow, soar, dip and all its experiences I don't think I would be personally buying around its ATH as this is a psychological area that veteran traders or hodlers will be selling to avoid missing out on the selling opportunity of taking some profits out and this is actually what's happening. And it being unregulated, it still remains exposed to speculation which might be what's preventing BTc from major growth.

345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 19, 2024, 12:47:07 PM

Hi cro2, I believe there is a mistake in my points tally from the updated table.

According to the table, this shows I have 2 pts but from my points breakdown Gameweek one was a walkover in MAAManda's favour as I missed the deadline, but for GW2 I did manage to secure a win which should give me 3pts and not 2.

Hope this will be corrected, thanks  Cool
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good or bad idea saving every penny on crypto stable coins on: March 19, 2024, 09:39:36 AM
If you are going to save money in form of a stable coin to leverage it over inflation or a failing currency, then it's not a bad idea to go this route...but if doing so with the intention of earning an interest, then it's technically the wrong option unless you opt to stake with a third party that is likely to pay you a small interest on your coins.

But you know what they say, "no risk, no gain " and if you aren't prepared to risk don't expect to gain, which is why you need to try BTC or other coins/tokens for maximum exposure and maximum returns unless you doing everything out of fear and not ready for this next chapter, then stable coins are what you need!

What does it mean when we encounter Placeholder B?

As slackovic explained, we still have 1 more space in the leagues to fill. If we do fill it you will play a game against that player later, if not all of you from Division 3B will have 1 game less.

After what happened last season having double HH join the party late and see him go all the way to win and get promoted too, am not a fan of the late entries as the last debutants are usually dangerous players and not ready for surprises at the moment Roll Eyes who knows maybe whoever joins late will be dishing out some free points Tongue

Week 3 questions have been spiced up, hope to get the same luck as gw2 S4  Grin

349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Fire Your Best Employee Who Is Addicted To Gambling ? on: March 18, 2024, 03:50:15 PM
Firing someone over their own problems doesn't seat well with me, and I don't think this will be anything inline with their employment playbook on how someone can get sacked!!
If I were their supervisor or the person that can get them fired, why not help in getting the person back on track as labour turnover is expensive in terms of finding a replacement, running interviews, training the new employee etcetera , and besides a healthy employee means better productivity at work which is a win-win once the gambling addiction is brought under control.

Shouldn't be just a warning first? There is a law for this one which you just can't fire anyone without verbal warning first. It would be unfair to him.
Agreed, wrongful dismissal is a cost on the company and you don't want to make the wrong call for something that can be sorted out verbally , unless it involves company losing funds as a result of the employee...otherwise other course of action is advisable!!

351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 The Emirates FA Cup - Season 2023/2024 on: March 17, 2024, 05:40:32 PM

Come back at the last 10 minutes so Liverpool closed the first half with a win. Mac Allister and Salah made Manchester United 2 goals behind. Manchester United games in the first round in my opinion are good, it's just less compact in terms of communication on the front lines. True you say, both in the first half show the best game.
United were unlucky to concede back to back goals in a game they looked like they played very well...and by the way that Salah goal might have had a foul in the build up and thought it would have been disallowed but fair play it was won fair and square which gave Liverpool an early advantage at the break of half time.

The second half hasn't changed much. Liverpool continue to master the game with dominant ball possession.
It seems that there is no gap for Manchester United to get rid of Liverpool in the Quarter-Final.
United managed to force the game into extra time after Liverpool could not hold onto their lead which allowed the Red devils to come back late on and seem to have the momentum to win this game...and usually in a game of football that has one team winning but allow the other to comeback ... this tends to favour the comeback team and I sense Liverpool losing this one...prove me wrong football gods  Tongue
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is AI going to affect gambling in any way ? on: March 17, 2024, 03:16:43 PM
AI has impacted almost all online businesses to major extent. Do you feel that there will be major impact of AI technology on online gambling industry as well ?
Gambling is a very unpredictable venture!!!

And the fact that AI is more likely to use numbers or past statistical results to predict the most likely outcome doesn't make it invisible...and the fact that gamblers have been using this strategy for years and still not come out profitable should tell you that no one is being displaced here!!! It's not called gambling for nothing, and the house would like AI to give it a shot  Cool
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 17, 2024, 01:43:27 PM
It's been posted on all social media Tyson still attracts a lot of attention, this is an interesting and exciting fight Tyson is still at the peak of his health even though he is already 60 years old but age is always a factor when it comes to boxing, Tyson may be good in the first two rounds but old age will catch with him and the fresh legs of Jake Paul will take over.
Kind of agree with what you have said...

But Tyson's fighting style has always been to finish the fight early, if it drags on to over four rounds then fight is a difficult one and I would like this to finish early which is unlikely as this is a cash making venture for all parties involved!!

Then this being an exhibition match, I really don't think they will be throwing everything they have towards this match as they will need to hold back and just entertain the crowd... otherwise not a match I would really be hyped about as the greatest boxer of the 19th-20th century his passed his prime and the other guy Jake does this for fun which takes away the competitiveness!!

354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of these betting Statements Do you Agree or Disagree With? on: March 17, 2024, 08:33:38 AM
I want to believe that we all agree that our betting budget should be within 5% -10% of our monthly income as responsible gamblers.
This 5-10 % depends on how much is there... You can't be betting based on this percentage if it's below a certain threshold because time is money and you don't want to be chasing small amounts all day when you can get a job to pay you better for your time...if it doesn't  sound practical then better not to gamble and save that money 💰!!!

However, our perspective on sports betting differs. Look at the gambling sentences and indicate which of the statements you agree or disagree with. You could also write a brief explanation for your standpoint

1. Don't bet all your money on one bet.
You know how the say don't gamble with money you can not afford to lose, it's actually the same concept otherwise of it's a free bet or small bank balance I think going all in we can all get away with it.

2. Bet the same amount on every bet.
Not my strategy, won't endorse this unfortunately

3. Don't bet more than once a day.
Never heard of this and I know for sure casino gamblers can't use this as it's not a winning strategy and for sports gambling maybe it's possible but not really practical.

4. Don't bet every day.

For one's mental health and just to get your mind refreshed I kind of agree with this.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: March 16, 2024, 07:12:51 PM
This is not happening!!!

After looking at all fixtures in this gameweek, I was 110% sure the best assets to own should come from Tottenham & nothing else ..and I tune in to see what's happening in this match against Fulham only to find that Spurs is trailing by 3 goal's to nil and am wondering what's happening here???

Smh 2 free transfers wasted  Cry @#$& Spurs , unbelievable result !!!

356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 16, 2024, 06:40:44 PM
Question: Can you have so much love for your team to behave like this guy that even when you know your love fans team would loose a match, would you still further stake on the match against your team?
Remember that we are catching funs here and whoever chasing after profits is at its own will.
This here just draws the line between pro gamblers and amateur gamblers... When you are a pro gambler and know that your team doesn't have what it takes to win, you bet against them...but for those that want to show love for the team and not agree that they don't have the firepower defines who an amateur gambler is here!!

When it comes to a fan's clash, everyone is suppose to rally behind their team regardless of how big or small the club is but when talking about gambling, you can't walk the talk...let's go in for the money 💸💰. But then again, gambling being gambling, you can never be so sure that the favourite will always win which is why you never stake all your balance as risk management is king!
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 16, 2024, 05:09:00 PM
This Rashford news I keep seeing in the newspapers, internet charter etc about the number 10 him leaving for PSG is looking more likely than not... especially that United hasn't sold a player for profit in a long time and an 80 million opportunity presents itself ... come on his going and secondly I think Rash has lost his spark for United and a new challenge is the only thing that could rekindle his love for the game and a burst back to form!!! Some fans might not like this, but it's the only way to give the team a new breathe of fresh air and reshape the team...let's go United #Ratcliffe_effect_at_play

If Man Utd sells Marcus Rashford for financial gain then what will happen to Man Utd in the future? Indeed, Man Utd still has Rasmus Højlund and can use the money to buy other players, but I'm not sure Man Utd can get the right player again. ETH has made a mistake in recruiting players who are not needed, causing Man Utd to experience a decline. If this continues to happen, it is not impossible that Man Utd's performance will decline further if you only think about profits.
Marcus Rahsford is an important player in Manchester United main squad, and Ten Hag will definitely not let go of one of his most important assets in the upcoming transfer market. If management lets him go, then they have to determine the ideal replacement for the position the player left. Rumors of PSG interest in Marcus Rahsford are increasingly circulating. PSG desperately needs a replacement for the soon to depart Mbappe, and Luis Enrique knows Marcus Rahsford qualities so well, he plans to make him his main target next season.
Before Erik Ten Hag thinks of saving another player's career, he needs to first save his because he has already used up all his 9 lives and there is pressure mounting from management, shareholders, fans and all interested parties to get positive results!
And considering United hasn't had any sensible sales in a long time, I think if PSG truly put in an offer for Rashford, I don't see any resistance not to sell as this also unlocks the potential to buy better players if we consider this financial fair play rules...To put it in simpler terms, Rash will be the sacrificial lamb to open up new opportunities for the club.

It is true that Manchester United could suffer even worse if they let go of key players, and Ten Hag must find a solution to make his team better next season. Several players recruited last summer did not have a significant impact, including loan players such as Sofyan Amrabat. It would be better for Manchester United to let go of most of the players who have minimal contribution, to reduce the club spending burden, and recruit the players they really need to be a solid team next season. Besides that, things could be different if Ten Hag were dismissed as head coach.
When it comes to ETH scouting for players, honestly his really terrible at it and the worst part is that his signings haven't represented him well either which puts even more pressure on his job!! The only way forward now..is definitely to free up resources by selling most of these players that haven't had any real impact as this isn't some academy, we need real results from a professional team!

358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws? on: March 16, 2024, 03:15:58 PM
legality of online crypto-gambling in countries like the UAE or Saudi Arabia, where traditional gambling is illegal, is a complex issue.
Places where gambling is illegal can easily state any form of gambling is illegal, but when it comes to crypto currencies I think you can get away with it as these are more like a whole different jurisdiction...and besides you are always playing online and I think you can get away with it because they don't have a physical presence....and not forgetting there is an aspect of recognising whether crypto is legal tender or not which also adds complexity to this issue!

Otherwise, no laws means no offence!

Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws?
If no gambling law's exist, then this is No man's land and you can't be prosecuted by non existing laws!! Happy days for you buddy Wink

360  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino vs. Stoc,Forex&Crypto Broker: Who's Really Playing You in the Money Game on: March 16, 2024, 08:48:20 AM
You know how casinos lay it all out, they're taking a gamble just like us? But get this, brokers might just be outdoing them in their own sly way. I’m saying brokers might actually be worse. Why? They’ve got this neat, little setup where they rake in their shares through bid-offer spreads and commissions, all while carrying zero market risk. It’s like having their cake and eating it too, but in secret.
When you talk about sly brokers, chances are that these are unregulated broker's... anything that involves playing with market feeds to outsmart traders does get reported and affects the licensing of such a broker,  which results in penalties and the alike...

As of gambling I think the most manipulative ones are these small casinos as they have nothing to lose as compared to establised casino's that have their reputation on the line.

We’re all out here rolling the dice, while brokers are the house, cashing in risk-free. What’s your take? Are brokers just silently stacking the deck, snagging a surefire win with every trade we make?
Anything is possible because we don't know what's happening in the background, but if there is any foul play it does get exposed eventually...so for now it's all speculative or FUD.
