361  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Prepare Your Children For Bitcoin Investment and Not for Government Jobs. on: March 08, 2024, 09:31:08 PM
Every human being is very unique, there are many who don't want to be directed by their parents, there are even many who follow in the footsteps of their friends in terms of their careers, but as parents, we can only support what our children want, give them consideration so that they can think again, never push them too far, children are still very young and hurt, so be careful in giving advice, especially when it relates to their future.  but if i were a parent, i would educate my children about bitcoin and others.
Of course, being independent is part of our children who want to grow on their own without their parents control. That is understandable as we’ve been there too. However, if we aim to lead them on bitcoin investment, then we should have educated them while they’re still young because what they’ll learn earlier, they will never forget that when they mature.

But there’s still no assurance of that they will follow our lead. Parents should be more open with that. However, one thing is certain, if they will invest in bitcoin, they will definitely look for ways on how to start entering the market. But most of the time, their priority is to get stable or government job first so they can earn and eventually invest in bitcoin once their funds are sufficient enough.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 08, 2024, 04:21:06 PM
It's been posted on all social media Tyson still attracts a lot of attention, this is an interesting and exciting fight Tyson is still at the peak of his health even though he is already 60 years old but age is always a factor when it comes to boxing, Tyson may be good in the first two rounds but old age will catch with him and the fresh legs of Jake Paul will take over.

Easy money for both fighters, this is a real exhibition fight but if there's a winner and odds are available, I think I will bet on the younger and active boxer. It's true that Tyson is a legend, but he is already old, against a young boxer who can also fight, I don't see Mike Tyson winning here. Honestly, I believe the only reason why people would bet on Tyson is because they got influence by the hype of the legend, but me, I see the current situation and based on my analysis, all the edge point out to Jake Paul.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: March 08, 2024, 03:42:21 PM
Addicts might have to face a lot of anger from their nearby family members, lenders and so on. So eventually that anger ends up in criticism, so its common and not everyone is going to be supportive.

The gambler is at fault because it was their choice to play with their luck and they did not stop themselves unlike other who moved on. If they chance their attitude to gambling they might be able to come out of this rabbit hole, pay back their debts and be proud of their conversion to a new human.

Support from family and friends is important, but how they provide it is also important. Sometimes its not possible and the gambler has to cope up on their own.

If an addicted gambling himself will try to change for the better, we should set aside that criticism as it will not help at all. Besides, this gambler if he will be able to successfully cure his gambling addiction, he will not be a problem in the community especially with his family. The problem with non supportive family is they are the ones that are good in criticizing gambling addicts, instead of helping since he is part of the family.

Actually it's not easy to get out from addiction, but it will only be easier if the family member are supportive, so that's the key.
364  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am i bad to this friend if i refuse to loan him some money in bad economy on: March 08, 2024, 10:23:24 AM
You have income from signature campaigns that may already exceed the monthly minimum wage in your country - so what's the harm in helping out with a few sats without affecting your bitcoin holding?

I don't know how much he needs from you - but helping him with half of your weekly income from signature campaigns doesn't seem like too much of a bother. For me, friends are more than money, especially when they are always there for you when you are in trouble - unless they only come after you are truly financially successful. You have the right to help or not - it's your money.
Its not wrong if you focus on bitcoin investment and delayed your luxuries in life, but when you are already experiencing profits, I guess helping a friend who is in a bad financial situation is not bad at all. Even lending him a small amount can do a lot already, it’s up to him if he will refuse to accept the help or not. Don’t prioritize money over your friends. You can easily lose your money and make another, but real friends are hard to find again. Learn to balance your life, at least you’re rich in your pocket as well as rich with the love from your friends.
365  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dont sell because you feel like selling, give it another thought. on: March 07, 2024, 09:59:08 PM
Everyone's investment goals are different, if they sell because they have made a big profit, why not? for example, they buy bitcoin when the price is still discounted when the price is $20k and sell it at $60k for other purposes such as buying a house and other urgent needs.

So we also cannot urge someone not to sell bitcoin because people's needs are certainly different, in essence investing is to make a profit. If they feel the profits they have are sufficient then there is no problem selling some. However, it would be better to remain Hold if there is no urgent need or anything else because Hold is a brilliant move at this time, the reason is clear that bitcoin has not yet formed a new ATH and it is very likely that bitcoin will reach $100k then the profits we get will continue to increase.
I couldn’t agree more. We can’t hold the people from not selling their coins if they have already seen substantial profits in their investments. Take time to sell but never sell all your coins. Leave some for your future profits. While others would want to sell and make profits already, majority would still want to continue hodling. Most likely because their target selling price has not achieve yet, or they have no plans to sell since there are no genuine reason of selling. Just hold if you don’t want to sell, but never sell all your coins if you want to stop buying already.
366  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is rising faster and faster, It is time to Buy Bitcoin ! on: March 07, 2024, 09:31:35 PM
I guess as the bitcoin halving is approaching, it is like a hype among investors to buy as much since in past there have been trends of bitcoin reaching all time high price after the halving. I think there will be a bit of bear market that will come right after a few months of halving as hype fades away, then I guess it would be more wise to buy instead of right now when it is breaking all records and we don't know when and at how much it might stop! Grin

Right now it's pointless for regular people to buy BTC IMO. It's very expensive, an opportunity to buy it cheaper might come. I stopped buying it when it crossed $40k.
You don’t have to buy the whole portion of bitcoin just to acquire bitcoin investment. Just buy a small of portion of it and continue with DCA. Although I have to agree that entering the market now is quite risky due to bitcoin’s high price. But if you are here not for quick profits, but definitely for long term investment, then I don’t see its pointless buying bitcoin this time. You know it’s a lot better than having no investment with bitcoin at all.
367  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving don't make wealth on: March 06, 2024, 11:59:36 PM
If you are trying to set aside some money for savings, why don't you try going one level higher which can make your amount of money grow by investing?
Instead of saving which means the value of the money can be depleted by inflation, you should use a method that can provide future benefits by investing the money in Bitcoin.

If you plan to build a monthly savings of $100, you can also get Bitcoin with that amount. Bitcoin which can be purchased in smaller denominations can make it easier for you to invest your money by using the DCA strategy regularly, you will feel much greater benefits from investing in the future compared to saving.
Don’t just save, but also save a portion for investment. Saving alone won’t make you capable to gain higher interest of profits, but will only save you from those unpredicted emergency events. While saving can be a lot of help for us, but investing will help us yield more profits which may lead into building our wealth and securing our finances.

Don’t make it too hard on yourself. You can definitely save and reserve some spare money for investment. Just invest on what you can afford to lose, and invest only if you have gained sufficient amount of knowledge and skills that are required for a successful investment.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Work Now May Not Work Tomorrow on: March 04, 2024, 03:11:10 PM
When I was new to gambling, I tended to look for a pattern to win. In fact, I lost a lot of money over time before I finally figured out that what I was looking for is impossible to achieve. I realized in the end that as long as there's a house edge, regardless of its size, I will never win in the long run. It became a challenge for me in the past, but I'm happy to have finally learned. Although I still gamble on the games I played before, now I'm just doing it for fun.

More so, I also realized that if I want to be long-term successful in gambling, I should choose a game to focus on, and that should fall into the category of skilled-based games. Currently, I'm more focus in sports, and I'm sure there are a lot of bettors here who are doing the same and would agree that sports betting belong to the skilled based games.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Try to stick to your instincts as a gambler on: March 04, 2024, 02:11:36 PM
Cash out is only for the weak, since I'm not a weak person, I never cash out my bet even though things doesn't looks good.

Don't let your emotion to control your decision because it's just temporary. Probably you're not think twice before make a bet, so you're still not completely sure if you won't make any change in your prediction.

I had a similar experience in the past, and all I have is regret. We are gambling to win big, not to minimize our losses and that should be the goal. For weak gamblers, to avoid cashing out a winning bet because of fear, it's advisable not to watch the game. That way, we can feel relaxed....  Cool

The thing is, before selecting that bet, whether it's a parlay or a single bet, you studied it, and you were confident in your pick. Cashing out would make your effort useless.

370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 04, 2024, 11:59:04 AM

Or it's not the same KD this season? He seems to be making a lot of turnovers and not taking the game. Maybe because he had Booker and Beal. But he needs to step up again and hope that they won't fall in the standings in the West.

Still the same KD but has improved this season, one game does not make people forget what he has done for the Suns this season. The stats themselves will prove that he has improved this season because last season he was only averaging 26 PPG, but now it has increased to 27 PPG.

You can refer below for more information.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/duranke01.html

KD is a willing passer and that's why when Booker is playing, he doesn't need to take over the game every time, and they have had success doing that so far. Unfortunately, there has been a problem of consistency in the team since, from time to time, one of them will be injured, just like Booker who was recently injured, and Beal came back not 100% yet, so that has really affected them.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which player are you? on: March 04, 2024, 08:03:39 AM
Sports betting is for me because I love sports in the first place, and I believe that with sports betting, it's not all about luck. I engage in different kinds of gambling as well, but I risk more and spend a lot of time on sports betting. The result is not instant, and that makes it very exciting.

With sports betting, I'm confident I can raise a decent amount of bankroll as I know I can rely on my skills. That's my personal belief. However, in other types of gambling games, it's very certain that I'll only be losing in the long run. Hence, I just consider it as a way of having fun when there's no more sports to bet on.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery ticket sports bets on: March 03, 2024, 03:30:24 PM
I've been doing it from time to time. A $1 bet is already enough for me to add as many legs as I can to have a bigger payout. For me, it's more fun than just buying a lottery ticket since I love sports, and I can use a little bit of my analysis skills to create a parlay ticket. $1 a day, not bad at all, not too expensive, as I can easily let go of that loss.

Honestly, I have experienced that I only need 1 win to get a big parlay win, and it's really stressful, especially if you are watching the game. The best advice is just not to watch it at all because you'd really feel the pressure if you do, and you might be having a hard time moving on. This advice is only for emotional people like me.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: March 03, 2024, 12:19:17 PM
I think Loma is already in the biggest and easiest money first type of fights. He already ducked Shakur for the vacant WBC. I cannot blame him though as he is already old and is past his prime. Kambosos is easier and maybe bigger money too than the boring and very technical Shakur. Loma also mentioned before that 135 is his limit so 140 could be out of the picture especially at this stage of his career.
Good for him, at least he is not forcing to climb to chase and get revenge. He could stay in this division and be an undisputed champion; that way, he'll have a very impressive legacy once he decides to retire. He is already 36 years old, so he is nearing the twilight of his career, but there's more he can accomplish by staying. Great decision for the veteran fighter.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: March 03, 2024, 08:30:48 AM
Emotions always make us panic and then we make instant wrong decisions. And if you make a wrong decision, you can never succeed.  Meanwhile, gambling depends on both luck and skill, so emotional and wrong decisions will never bring you a win. So we should always keep our emotions under control. Then we will be able to do something good be it gambling or something else. so never panic and emotional

If we experience that from time to time, it means we are not learning or have not matured yet. It's normal for newbies and the young ones to get more emotional, especially if they are risking so much money that when they lose, they'll have a hard time with their other living expenses. Although I agree that gambling is based on luck, at least 50% maybe, we should always be smart enough to develop a strategy we learn over time. However, that would be useless if we cannot still control our emotions.

Think of this, gambling is not considered a short-term income; it's a long-term one. Anyone who can achieve that kind of success, I would say they are professional because they learn to develop themselves over time.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 03, 2024, 06:31:47 AM
With Murray out this is a tough bet.  Denver is still great without Jamal and Lakers have a tough time matching up with joker.  I couldn't decide either way on this one.  I'm actually looking at the over under and thinking on taking the over 227.  It's on national television so lebron is definitely playing and you are gonna see another big night from him.  Haven't seen the lines but I'm probably going to take the over on his points his rebounds amd his assists.  Most likely he will hit on at least 2 of those 3.

You have won your bet if you bet on the over. The line on the total was 230.5, but the total score is 238, so it's a win. Regarding Jokic's performance, he had a great night with 35 points and 10 rebounds, the typical Joker we are seeing who is still unstoppable. Davis could not contain him, and Davis only delivered 17 points with 11 rebounds.
376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in a crypto bubble? Is a possible correction coming soon? on: March 02, 2024, 09:58:50 PM
I've been half expecting the market to dip and calm the hell down since back 50k. Seeing as it's in no way doing that, or any of the dips that did happen are rather insignificant since it just pumps right back up, hardly doubt we'd be seeing a correction anytime soon. Maybe at least till we hit ATH? I think most people are having the FOMO feels right now due to how much the market has pumped up in the past month or so. If we somehow breakthrough above 70k though then I don't really expect any correction coming anytime sooner.

We have been threading the needle at $62,000 and just like you, we thought that we will have a correction, but nothing has happened so far or at least the bulls doesn't want that as the market is in FOMO mode since last month and has never stop.

And with that kind of mindset and sentiment, this bubble might continue and will not stop until we hit new all time high before the halving?

What's important though is that even if we break $70,000, no one is going to sell. I mean, yeah why not, take profits, but if you are looking for more, then why wait and have the patience to see it get to at least 6 digits, IMHO.
Its still early to say that we might not face some price correction throughout the process. I still have this feeling that any moment from now we will experience some price decline so we better get ready for it and hold tight to our bitcoin. However, we aren’t in full control of the market but if FOMO gets high these days, I guess the market won’t allow some price correction as of this moment but eventually, it will still come into possibility later on.

There is still a big bubble in the market and we kinda like it. My point is no matter how far this will be going to happen, at least we should still hold on to our bitcoin and just sell only when the final bull run is here.
377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Or Investing which one is better to focus on right now? on: March 02, 2024, 09:19:15 PM
...I want to know what guys do. Are some of you trading the market regardless or some of you are like me, investing and observing the market

Investing is less risky than trading, but nevertheless it is necessary to have a basic education that will help you choose the right investment object. You can also consider trading if you still have a lot of free time, but in this case you need to improve your level of education so that trading brings you profit, not losses.
You can embrace both, invest and at the same time do some trading. But prior to that, make sure you have acquired basic knowledge in trading and just learn to improve it when you’ve gained good experience in the market. Trading is more risky but there is bigger promising profits on it, no wonder why a lot jump into trading even without learning even its basics.

Don’t limit yourself in investing and hodling, but learn trading as well. If you want to maximize your profits in the market, go on extra mile. Develop trading skills and strategies, it will end up easier for you in the end no matter how hard it is in the beginning.

378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it time now to use Premium VPN when playing in the casino? on: March 02, 2024, 02:09:59 PM
There's a risk of getting flagged for having multiple accounts sharing the same IP address. However, I think that risk may be higher if you have significant winnings. I don't know exactly how their mechanisms work, but it's likely not an automatic process, and they would conduct an investigation. Nevertheless, taking preventive measures is advisable. If you see it as a risk, finding an alternative solution like not letting your friends use your network or subscribing to a VPN, as you mentioned, is a good idea.

Based on my experience, I used to gamble regularly in our office, and my office mates did the same. I never experienced any problems with multiple accounts issues, probably because at that time, the rules were not strictly enforced yet. This was about 5 years ago.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 02, 2024, 12:34:26 PM
It will be a bad strategy if Canelo is reserving everything for a Bivol rematch. He is not getting any younger, and he should have rematch Bivol early, instead of going into John Ryder and Charlo fight, it will not add anything to his legacy (if he is still after it).
Maybe he is already content with his achievements now, and that is his legacy. For now, he doesn't want to take higher risks; he's done with that aspect. What he wants is just to cherry-pick and make money consistently. I know fans are upset as things aren't going the way we'd like for him, but, after all, this is business.

Beterbiev vs Benavidez could also be an intriguing match up. Both have power but Benavidez a bit taller and so we will see how Beterbiev can counter that height and reach advantage. But we will see, LHW division is looking to be very interesting division as Benavidez is moving up to challenge the two Russians.

And that will make Canelo slowly fade from the spotlight. Champions are seeking to fight for other champions, even moving up to have a better challenge. Unfortunately, Canelo has stopped challenging himself, especially after his loss to Bivol.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 02, 2024, 11:13:57 AM

LeBron James and Anthony Davis had a really great performance in this game. Anthony Davis dropped a 40 bomb and LeBron James scored 31 points. I agree with you, at various points of the game, I thought the Lakers were going to lose this game. But in the end, they were able to win the game in overtime. If you look at Wizards, Marvin and Jordan Poole played very well for the Wizards.
I can see Lakers will play the Nuggets in the next game. I think that game is also going to be very close.

Great performance for both superstars, but it wasn't really a great performance for the Lakers as a team. They could've win it without sending it to overtime if they played tight defense even just in the 4th quarter. That was a high scoring game and the defense for both teams were too loose. Well, the Wizards is dead last in defensive rating so it's not gonna be surprise if they don't really play defense in an actual game lol, but the problem with the Lakers on that game is that they have adopted how the Wizards play. Poole was hitting long 3s and Kuzma was clutch down the stretch, that gave the Lakers a hard time winning the game that send them to overtime. That's something they really don't want to happen ahead of a Denver game. Let's see how the Laker team handle the fatigue and hopefully AD and LeBron will play.

Nothing to be surprised about with the Lakers, as they have been playing like that this season. What matters is that they were able to win the game. I think they were coming from a back-to-back game at that time after beating the Clippers, so that's fine. As I mentioned, what matters is they won the game.

The Wizards are not a bad team at all; they have the talent and can also win games. So credit to them for giving the Lakers a tough time, but it was the experience of the Lakers that helped them secure the win. As of now, the Lakers have two straight wins and are in the 10th position in the ranking. If they continue winning, their ranking will improve.
