361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did you overcome the hurdles and gain confidence to trade as a Newbie? on: November 17, 2023, 09:27:09 PM
Learning from all my initial mistakes and losses is a big factor. If you trade as a newbie, you are more susceptible to commit errors and end up trading as a loser, but the important thing is you also gained good lessons afterwards which will help you improve and build confidence every time you decide to trade.  And by practicing caution in trading, that will encourage me to limit my errors and losses every time I trade.

More practice, more losses, the more we got ideas that would help us become better. Of course, we can't just do it instantly and that is why we call ourselves newbies as we don't have enough market exposure that say we are pros already. Trading is not an easy job, we can't underestimate the market and so, to become confident enough we also have to spend more time searching and doing actual trading experience as this is the way to justify how good we are. As for newbies, we never expect such confidence to come right away --it takes time.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Start with the little you have, you don't need millions of dollars to own BTC. on: November 17, 2023, 01:47:03 PM

The bottom line is that it is better to start buying now with the little money you have than waiting and the time passes by.
Bitcoin is still fucking cheap right now to compare the price it would be in the future.

Hope this can encourage someone who may find him or herself in such a situation.

Maybe 10 years from now and if Bitcoin still exists the price is probably over $100k. And that time, it was just like what we were buying today while the price of Bitcoin was very cheap 10 years ago. Investing is not a contest but we are actually running out of time before the price surges high again. I don't say it was a good time for buying these days but at least, we don't miss the opportunity while the price of Bitcoin is just $38k before it reaches another ATH.

Having $1000 worth of Bitcoin now can be multifold in the future which means that there is no regret in doing this, yes we only need courage and faith.

Quote
Shakur Stevenson is now a three-division champion. Stevenson, the former Olympic silver medalist, grinded out a tough win over Edwin De Los Santos on Thursday night to claim the WBC lightweight crown in Las Vegas.

How do you rate the fight? Are you entertain or got bored? How about the betting side, anyone here won their bet?
364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 17, 2023, 05:09:36 AM
It was a thrilling game, but the bettors ended up feeling let down in the end.

Anyway, we've got two games today. Maybe we can bounce back from our losses if we double down, hehe.

The first game is Magnolia vs. Northport, and the second game is Ginebra vs. Converge. Let's check if this Ginebra team is still super risky, even without Brownlee. For the favorites, we have the spreads and odds  below.

Hotshots -8.5
Ginebra -7.5
365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you believe Technical Analysis? on: November 16, 2023, 10:22:38 PM
I believe, if not with technical analysis, how else can we determine the direction to buy or sell. at least it helps compared to having to just guess. As far as usage goes, I get premium signals with technical analysis, they are quite accurate, although not 100%, but for me that is enough proof that this is quite accurate and profitable.
You are right, without technical analysis of course we would have made the decision to buy or sell only based on the feelings we have and it would be very unlikely that we would be able to get the profits that we would get, if by using technical analysis we would not be able to get our profits. It is still possible to improve the analysis that we use to be able to gain from the trading that we do.
And it is also because trading is not just guessing what to do next, there should be some basis for our decisions otherwise, we make our trade into a 50/50 result. That is why it was been encouraged for traders not just to live confident of knowing the basics but also to enhance their level of trading knowledge and skill just to meet the satisfying way of trading and make positive results.
Perhaps, there are a lot of trading tools that we need to know, we have to learn them, especially TA.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Plan for making a small dream come true on: November 16, 2023, 09:48:58 PM
Well, I respect your plan as it is your personal market view but I could say that some of them are somewhat impossible like in Bitcoin where your target is $120,000 and honestly, that seems too high. Maybe you are too bullish on your dream and plan, and the only thing that I could say is to never assume that it all will come to reality as I was sure that it won't. We can't still predict the market direction in the coming days but of course, we can remain optimistic.
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For sports bettors, are you attracted with bet builder feature? on: November 16, 2023, 05:40:10 AM
We have different answers here, and I like reading your replies so far.

@OP, may I suggest if you can add this question: 'Which is better, parlay or bet builder feature?'...

I personally like to know what people think, since this is quite new while parlay has been here even before. As for me, I like the bet builder feature, and I'm pretty much attracted to it due to better chance of winning.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: November 13, 2023, 12:06:47 PM
I always tell people to not do this because this will only make them go deeper and deeper into the ocean of gambling addiction, and one day in the future, they will have lost almost everything they have ever had and then there will be no point in regretting since nothing will come back once it's gone.
Sometimes not many people want to listen to anyone's advice if they originally intended to gamble to make money and win, let alone advising people who have become addicts, it is difficult to tell them that whatever they are chasing and doing is to recover their losses or find what they hope for. it's not as easy as what streamers and gambling influencers usually show, it's all fake

Moreover, why are there still people who still think that gambling can make you rich instantly even though it is clear that around us most of the gamblers are not necessarily successful and rich, most of them go bankrupt and fall into serious addiction, I am also sometimes concerned about the situation of these people. gamblers like that even though they should be able to enjoy gambling only as entertainment.
Whether we like it or not, it is difficult to make someone realize their wrongdoings and mindset toward gambling if their thinking has been focused on - becoming rich in gambling. Whether we like it or not, many gamblers are still blind not to see the truth about gambling, and sad to say that they are wrong with their approach.

Perhaps, there is no wrong about gambling but if we go beyond our limitations --expenses and time, that is not a healthy gambling anymore and much more if we are chasing our losses.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A tip for staying resposible while gambling. on: November 13, 2023, 11:47:04 AM
While gambling some people gamble with small amounts which is not very important for them, but for those who are new to gambling and not able to control themselves or play with something reasonable amount.
So I have a tip for them you can stick a real paper money note in front of your monitor which will remind you that money is hard to earn and play responsibly or don't play with big amounts.
the note will remind every time that how you earned that money, and if you are controlled and this tip is not very important for you them you can ignore it, but i found this helpful.
Maybe that will work in a short time but of course, why not try it as it really has an impact on our mindset, especially those who are not rich.
We should also note that being a responsible gambler is not just how we know how to control our money but it is also how we know how to control our entire gambling habits.
 - we must know when to stop
 - we must know how to control our emotions

Well, we can say that it was easy to become a responsible gambler but based on my experience, it was challenging especially if we are new in gambling as certainly was hard to control our emotions.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying ETH fees? on: November 13, 2023, 11:09:49 AM
I will take a guess that the ETH ecosystem won't be clogged anymore and that is because of many tokens that has also been available to other ecosystems or networks too.
That makes the fee for those token transfers cheaper and made a wider way for the transactions to come in and out of the ETH chain. Just for your preparation, not just the ETH for fees you prepare but also your mind that you won't be surprise if some surge happens.
Having multiple options makes the network easier to process transfers and that will be the time I think that we can see the ETH gas fee back low like a few years ago. However, we can still expect the volatile movement of fees but not as high as compared to these days. We can really feel the burden of traders/investors who are paying huge fees and it was not reasonable enough to move $50 worth of tokens while paying $10 (or more). That is why a lot of people are hoping for this to come and to have them breathe from long years of suffering high fees.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 13, 2023, 04:01:25 AM
Looking good, @owengtam09! You only need the Suns to win to make it perfect.
Unfortunately Suns lose on this, they were up at the start of 4th quarter but they weren't good enough with their defense allowing the OKC to have their big run.

It's a good thing you didn't bet on the Warriors; they've been so inconsistent in their last two games. But as for me, I'm still backing them as who knows, they might end their cold streak with the game against the Timberwolves. Anyway, the Suns vs. OKC is currently a close game, but since your bet is on the moneyline, I'd say you'll get a win on that.

Again, Warriors lose big time, that's two in a row already, Curry scored    38 points but still not enough to even make it a close game. 3rd quarter was suppose to be the quarter they are dominating, it was on favor by the visiting team.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most you have ever lost in one session? on: November 12, 2023, 12:43:39 PM
What is the most money you have ever lost in one session? could be land base casino or crypto casino.

mine was $200,000 on Stake.com 2 weeks ago

There's no way lose $200,000 USD in one session? What game did you play until you lost so much money in one gaming session? Can you share with us a picture of your gaming history? If it were just a claim, everyone here could say that they lost millions of dollars in one session.
It is unbelievable and I don't think someone can afford to lose that amount in one session, maybe for 1 month or 1 week that seems realistic.
However, I couldn't imagine doing that even if I had a lot of money. In fact, I felt mad at the time I lost $500 one day. Losing a huge amount will just happen if we chase our losses and think that luck will be in the next which makes us double our bet after losing the first bet. That was a kind of irresponsible way of gambling and it was not good anymore.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What lies ahead for Bitcoin in the coming days? on: November 12, 2023, 11:48:17 AM
The future of Bitcoin is actually uncertain OP but it doesn't mean that we gonna think all about the negative, why not think about the positive as well? We can make market assumptions but I think we have to stop saying "what if and what if" because those words are just used by those who have no trust in Bitcoin and live full of uncertainties.

Though I can't say that Bitcoin has a bright future, however, I have the guts also to foresee that Bitcoin will grow and be adopted by most individuals.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will FTT token everly hit it ATH again? on: November 12, 2023, 10:51:54 AM
In less than 24 hours today FTT token has pump at about %51 from $1.22 to about $1.80 so I said let me bring this information to the forum if there is any possibility that this token Can still recover to it's all time high again. Because sometimes one can use such opportunity to achieve something.
Although we talk about bitcoin investment always but just decided to share with us

You can share your thoughts on this.
It is a very unexpected rise to happen from FTT  (FTX) after a shocking collapse of this exchange. Though it was surprising, this won't make people gain the courage to invest and think about a brighter future due to the past issues that even be the reason for their collapse. It was indeed great to see this thing happen but never I thought it would turn to bullish first than with Bitcoin.

Maybe I was wrong but this pump shows something like there is manipulation with the price. In fact, it was very common for those projects that had issues in the past just to gain attention.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 12, 2023, 03:26:47 AM
The Warriors and Cavaliers are currently facing off. The first quarter has been good; it's a high-scoring game, making it enjoyable, especially since it's also a close match. It's time to show the fans that the Warriors aren't afraid of the length of the Cavaliers, and the best way to prove that is by avenging their loss on the road at the Cavaliers' home court.

With Green and Payton back, the team now has a complete and healthy lineup. They should take care of business well.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as expected. The Warriors had a tough second quarter, being outscored by 17 points after leading by just 1 in the first quarter. Now, it's time to continue supporting them. They are at -4.5 in the 3rd quarter, and considering the Warriors are typically a strong 3rd quarter team, I'm betting on them in the hope that they'll narrow the lead to single digits going into the 4th quarter.

The Warriors had a big run at the start of the 3rd quarter, but now, Draymond has been ejected from the game. I'm not sure if the Warriors can still pull off a win. They might have won the 3rd quarter, but they still have 12 minutes in the last quarter where Draymond's energy and defense are crucial. Unfortunately, they're going to miss that. Now, everyone needs to step up, especially on the defensive end.

377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on growth on: November 11, 2023, 03:05:22 PM
Hi all. How to buy more when growing? Today we are growing, but I don’t want to buy. Share your experience in this matter.
No risk, No gain --that is what you should think OP. You can never earn success from here if you are not able to take risks. Better understand that there is no perfect timing for accumulating coins whether it is during the pump or dump. However, investing in crypto should be on our will, it should not be forced or something that makes you buy because someone has told you to do that.

It was your decision to decline the opportunity OP but just to remind you that we are not in a bull run. We have this pump but there is more pump coming someday and if believe this, then buying at the current market situation is still a good opportunity.
378  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies don't leave your coins in an exchange on: November 11, 2023, 02:14:40 PM

This reminder is something that we have been seeing over and over again here in the forum, but because of transaction fees some people prefer to leave their funds in an exchange so that they can get easy access to their coins, which is bad. I think that it is only traders that needs the exchange most time and not we hodlers. I will say that you should see an exchange as an enemy to your bitcoin, maybe this will make you get scared of them.
They just want to save from paying huge TRX fees but the security of their funds has been ignored putting their situation at high risk because whatever will happen to the exchanges, they will also suffer the consequences and might not be refunded. Though we can say it was not a good idea but I admit that I've done this before. Well, maybe I was trusting the platform that I'm using and it is quite different from using new exchanges. Therefore, before leaving our coins in a particular exchange platform, we are also aware and are ready for whatever will happen.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 11, 2023, 01:01:15 PM
It's good to see RHJ back and leading the team into a good margin, with a help of his team of course they can have a good chance to start a winning game here. TNT is a title contender, with their line up right now I'm confident that they can match the top teams and have a good run too. All they have to do is to be more consistent and sustain that good team work, good to watch PBA again after their long break.

Yeah, it's good to see RHJ back and right night they are ahead by 6 points with 3 minutes to go in the fourth quarter. RHJ did not score heavily here as he's got only 14 points but he got a lot of help from the locals, especially from Calvin Oftana who has now 18 points in the game.
And this game went to OT but TNT still manage to win the game, however, I think Converge the handicap here as it was only a 3 point win by TNT.

Oftana score 19 but Castro got 23 points here, big night for the old but goodies the blur.

I've read an article today that TNT has terminated the contract of Mikey Williams, so this means that he will no longer play for TNT or in the PBA, to say the least.

Good for him, he would not come back in the PBA anymore as he is so demanding, he shoud show his talent somewhere, probably not in the Phiilppines.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 11, 2023, 11:36:28 AM
And the Clippers continue to struggle, they aren't even losing via close margin.

That's 3 in a row with Harden on the team, I guess this team will esily lead us to being a winner as despite their struggle, bookies still believe in them making them a slight underdog but heavy favorite sometimes, so let's fade them everytime.

Luka Torch them with his 44 points.  Smiley

Ya, the Clippers have problems… Not like anyone thought Harden would be a good addition for them. So far all he’s done is get Kawhi into a strip club…
That flashes back in my mind again, Kawhi is a silent guy but he loves to go to strip club.  Smiley

yeah this one - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/2zNXDB1TSdU

LeBron came through with a really efficient game to outplay Durant in my opinion and get the Lakers a win. I wasn’t expecting that, but am glad to see that the Lakers are capable of playing good basketball. LeBron also became the only player in NBA history with 5,000 turnovers.

Getting a double-double with very efficient shooting is the kind of LeBron we're used to following. Perhaps he was fed up with the three-game losing streak. But I appreciate how humble he is because he still praised Durant in the post-game interview.
