361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will still be my choice this year. on: February 02, 2024, 01:26:24 PM
If they ask me to make a choice on altcoin to invest in this new year, Ethereum will still be my choice because I know that their team are strong team and they are capable to make Ethereum the king among all the altcoins in the market for investors to continue making it for their choice. If you look at the altcoins market very well you will see that Ethereum is about to reach $3k and if it happen this year it will help those of us that are lovers of Ethereum to make another huge amount of profits from the market. I know, we still have some good altcoins in the market to invest and everyone has his own choice to make in the market to invest in any altcoins of his or her choice which I chose Ethereum as my choice this year, what is your own choice in altcoins investment if they ask you to invest again in altcoins?

Do you think I make a good choice this year or I should include BNB so that if one is delaying me in the market, I can try the other one to achieve what I want .
Ethereum is always a good choice but it was best to spread our funds to different coins as well like BNB. There are several potentially profitable coins, can't mention them all but you can check at https://coinmarketcap.com/. Most investors are choosing the top altcoins in the market but it doesn't mean you take them all, at least aside from ETH there are 2-3 coins to hold as well. But don't miss the chance with Bitcoin, if you invest ETH then make sure also that you accumulated BTC already.

Having BTC, ETH, and BNB, can have a peaceful mind. They are one of the leading coins in the market and they don't disappoint you.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 02, 2024, 06:30:01 AM
I don't know what's the season high for the Lakers 3 point FG percentage, but this game they shoot 53% or 19-36 (shot made- attempts). While the Celtics only shoots 33% which I think is still acceptable but not acceptable is their defense outside.

I believe they are not a good 3 point shooting team and they are just below 40% this season. Shooting 53% on the road seems so high especially against the Celtics who are known to be a good team with balance offense and defense. I guess lots of bettors really fell on that trap because Celtics are capable of winning via blowout on the road like what they did to the Miami Heat, so at home they have a decent chance of doing it, but what we witnessed was a flipped.

For now that's the biggest story in the NBA, but don't forget to move forward. Next game for the Celtics is still at home, it's against the Memphis, this sure going to be different, I'm looking for a bounce back game.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 02, 2024, 05:11:16 AM
In terms of Yap, it was his hope to play one more time wearing the same uniform where he create his legacy, hoping that magnolia will sign him for another contract and let him entertain the fans again, not sure if that's already finalized and if there's already a negotiation regarding to that, but it was his hope and he's really aiming for that opportunity,  the reason why he requested the release with rain or shine after his contract ends.

Let's see and wait if that will going to happen, but for now, let's wait for the finals and see who's going to win the title.
The rumor was there and it's likely that he will be taken by them but we'll have to wait for the final and official announcement. So while there's no official news about it, it will remain as a rumor. He's been seen on Japan and so people have thought that he'd sign on B League but we don't know yet.

No news yet and, based on those social media posts, Bossing is also interested in signing him up with a very juicy offer, maybe for branding advertisement, knowing how big James name in this industry, but skills wise aside from his shooting capabilities, his condition is no longer the same since he left Magnolia., I personally think that he's just aiming for one more game as Magnolia rumors again rise regard to the influence of his former wife.

But hopefully, there's consideration that will be given even if it's only for formality. Just give him that blessing to retire his jersey as one of those top elite players who played for the franchise. I guess after "The Captain" James deserves the next spot.

He better go to the weak team in the PBA so he could gain a lot of minutes. Going back to Magnolia, his numbers might still not significant, and to think that James Yap was traded with Paul Lee, they'll be in the same team. Actually, that trade ruined the Rain or Shine, because when Paul was still with the Rain or Shine, they were playing great and IIRC, they even won a championship before.
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You must have a source on: February 01, 2024, 09:24:35 PM
You must have a source of income if you must succeed in your holdings.

For the few years I have been into cryptocurrency, I have discovered that you can't hold till the right time if your don't have a source of income. Just imagine that you have a pressing basic needs like feeding or rent, then you don't have money  to finance it, you will be forced to sell your Bitcoin at a loss if you don't have a source of income outside your holdings.

Most people that have sold their Bitcoin holdings at a loss or at an average price actually have the patience but don't have the knowledge of how to hold, because a good holder must be aware that he needs a source of income for him to be able to consolidate to his holdings.

It has happened to me severally, I have been able to hold now, since I started working as a merchandiser with Guinness, I think most times, experience is the best teacher.
I came across a post where someone said 'he invested his last dime while he was faced with starvation and homelessness because his conviction did not allow to touch his capital. He stated categorically that he feeds once a day whereas he was having an investment in bitcoin'. That condition is not an easy one. Judging from my perspective, I can't endure hunger, be homeless and feed once just to hold my investment. My brother if you die, your investment will lost.
I think before investing there should should be other source(s) of income because life must be in continuace.

Sometimes extreme examples will help to illustrate these kinds of various points regarding both discretion and even figuring out a balance, including that each of us is not going to make the same choices in regards to how to find balance, if any.

Some times people do end up making the wrong kinds of choices, which might be a demonstration of someone's life to be continuously making bad choices and part of the reason that some persons are living on the very edge and without any kind of normal financial cushion has to do with their ongoingly making wrong choices, and perhaps sometimes not even being able to get out of their situation once it gets to such a bad place that it becomes harder and harder to build some kind of a steady income stream... because sometimes even a homeless person might come to realize that he needs to change his ways and figure out a way out of his situation after he had gotten himself into such a place..
Most of the time people realize their mistakes and wrongdoings when they are on the edge of suffering difficulties in life and think --why do I never save money and invest when I can still have a good job and huge income? People usually don't think about preparation instead, they prefer to make themselves happy today and suffer later. That is why only a few people are into doing business while a lot of people are in the labor force even though they are old already as they don't have other options to live.

Even in crypto, people already hear about Bitcoins but still ignore the opportunity. Yes, it is really the choice of the person but sadly most of the time they choose the wrong one.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - February 24 on: February 01, 2024, 02:12:41 PM

Jerwin is still the underdog in this fight, almost 3:1.

I really like the betting odds here. Takuma Inoue is a great match up for Ancajas because if the latter will win, he will become popular again and as bettor getting 3:1 odds, this is a no-brainer. Less than a month and we will eventually witnessed a fight that was postponed due to Inoue's injury, but since it's already announce it's likely to be the final date, so start putting our bets now.

By the way, are there any market aside from the 3;1 odds for Ancajas? Market like KO win in rounds ranges?
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask now supporting bitcoin? on: February 01, 2024, 11:51:59 AM
Just opened the Metamask already and nothing has changed, it still does not support Bitcoin but just altcoins. If that news is not made by mistake, it is probably fake news from the wrong site because I'm sure the author must know it before publishing.

Well, we're not sure about the upcoming events and the plan of Metamask but just visiting the site, I can't find BTC there.
I'm not hoping they will support Bitcoin but if they did it, then much better. Besides, it was for the good of everybody, similar to what exchanges did where  BTC and Altcoins were accepted.
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible Gambling Practices Most People Ignore and Sleep on on: February 01, 2024, 06:02:02 AM
Gambling responsibly is the main key to preventing significant losses and other negative impacts, which can harm ourselves. And of course this is not an easy thing for us to do. because sometimes, even in the past, we have implemented limits on the gambling activities we carry out, including financial limits and playing time. However, in certain situations, we can lose control and ignore certain limits, so that we gamble more than the specified time and bet more than the previously set budget. So the gambling we do can influence and hinder other activities, and only cause financial losses. And if we often violate these limits, then this has the potential to lead to gambling addiction. This is a very dangerous situation and to minimize the negative impact of this behavior, we must continue to try to remain consistent with the boundaries that we have always set.
Gambling responsibly is not an easy thing to do for everyone who has made gambling a routine activity, even though they have set time limits and also limited the funds they will use for gambling, they will still be breaking these rules themselves, according to I would be better if we could reduce gambling activities rather than limiting funds for betting, because if we gamble too often it will be very difficult for us to be able to control ourselves in the games we play, of course this will be very detrimental to us.
To be able to gamble responsibly, of course we have to obey every rule we make if we don't want to suffer a lot of losses both behaviorally and financially.
It was hard because we've been always influenced by our emotions and greed, it is a normal situation since we are a human being. But it is not the case why we should not be acting responsibly, at least we never do this always and forever. At least sometimes, we know our limitations, and at least sometimes, we can think when to stop. It is really difficult when already addicted that is why we don't let it happen instead, have a habit to start controlling ourselves as early as possible. It may not be working instantly, but at least we do something to avoid from falling into the worst scenario.
368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your feelings if Bitcoin price takes your expectations unaware on: January 31, 2024, 08:00:45 PM
Whether we are aware or not, we still keep in mind that the movement of the market was impossible to predict, so instead of being unaware, why not assume that dumps will happen anytime?

Whether to blame ourselves or not, it is done already. We can't bring it back anymore, we'd rather accept the fact that mistakes are made in order for us to learn and take action for not happening again. We can't just simply forget how volatile is the market and every minute changes come that may surprise us. So, we must be ready anytime and learn to adapt to the situation and sell our Bitcoin without regrets when there is a chance of earning.
369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie traders, work on yourself. on: January 31, 2024, 12:36:58 PM
Newbie traders, make a long and hard decision before you continue. Work on yourself is my best advice too. Don't focus on trading, do it on your free time. Work on your career, work on your profession, get mature. Understand addiction and find a way to beat it. And learn first, don't trade!

If you're panicking and checking trades regularly, you're not yet ready Smiley

If you lose and you want to trade rightaway, you're not ready Smiley

Yeah if you unable to balance your emotion and you are not in control with your trade, meaning to say that you are always being move by adrenaline and misconceptions, always keep in mind that you need to experienced more and not just to blindly follow your instinct and emotions, trading is something that you need to learn and adopt.

Not just go with the wind type of investment and trades, it should always be depends with how you understand and how you developed your knowledge, it's a process that you need to learn and adjust if needed.
Trading is not an easy job which is why not all are willing to take this job not because of its risk but also the lack of understanding that discourages them from trying. We could say it depends on how we understand the market and the result is also the outcome of our market views. Trading without focus and effective strategies will end up losing and sad to say that it is very usual for those who rush even though they don't have enough knowledge.
Newbies should know the concept of trading at first, they should never take this easy but must have put some effort to learn more rather than thinking for instant profit.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The scam of FAKE fixed matches on: January 31, 2024, 10:56:29 AM
You can't be a victim to this scam if you have a basic knowledge on what is happening now where scams are everywhere. The kind of scams is easy to spot, too good to be true offers are normally scams, so that's already a red flag. Besides, if you think deeper, why would these guys offer fixed match information for people to win if they can bet on their own and take the whole profit.

Anyway, thanks for sharing, although I believe that everyone is already knowledgeable about this, but there might be some who are greedy ignorance who thinks they found an opportunity to make an easy money.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Confusion About Insider Gambling on: January 31, 2024, 10:02:47 AM
If that is what insider gambling is, it is not illegal. But I am referring to well known leagues and tournaments and not the small ones that can easily be manipulated. Manipulation in some small leagues will be more than what is called insider gambling.

If you want to bet on sport, bet some minutes to the matches and not some days or weeks before. Make sure you know the players that the couches want to use.

Makes sense. Betting on sports is cool but using secret info to get an edge like insider gambling is shady. It's not illegal but most sports leagues frown upon it.

As long as that's not illegal that's good to go. I mean, we gamble to win, so we'll do everything to win and that includes getting an information that would give us an advantage to win. They say it's hard to win in gambling, but if you can benefit from that kind of factor, then I guess gambling would be easy for you and money will be coming consistently.

Quote
If you're into betting, maybe stick to last-minute bets and play it fair with public info
This isn't too important, unless it guarantees you a win or even increase your chances of winning. Line movement is still possible, it's either you get or lose an opportunity you are looking for since you are looking for some value.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in meme coins is worthy or not? on: January 30, 2024, 09:43:36 PM
Until these days and with thousands of meme coins created, we've never found at least one that we think was very useful in the crypto space aside from Dogecoin which seems to have some value but the rest are simply nothing to add other than hype. With their performance shown to us, it was enough, not to speculate but to say that they are not worth enough and much more with the project that you have mentioned OP.

Of course, it can't deny people had made much money during the hype but the question is if Project Dingdang shows the same. Otherwise, it is another throwaway project like others.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaurd yourself this year against crypto scams on: January 30, 2024, 01:06:14 PM
The more we think about money, the more possible we fall into scams because these scam projects offer good-to-be true rewards that could really tempt someone. And very unfortunate that this is what actually happened to most of us before we found out that it was a scam.

 - stay informed
 - take extra effort to do research
 - never rush
 - be cautious in new projects

Legit projects don't offer huge shares but scam projects offer impossible things...it is easy to find them out unless we think always about money.
Most of the time we just learn when already commit mistakes and experience bad investments. And I've seen this most in newbies, I admit I have experienced it before which is why falling into scam projects seemed normal in the past but this time, I believe the information and experience shared by old-timers gives some ideas on how to determine a scam from project from legit one. That is why we can't blame the market for our losses but have to blame ourselves for being too careless.

In general, falling into scam projects is our fault and we should take action before it happens again. Maybe having the first time is acceptable but having in 2nd time, there is a problem with us that we need to correct as much as possible.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 30, 2024, 03:40:17 AM
[....]But for Klay? Okay, there is nothing he can do with it as it's always been Steph that they're eyeing for.
It's not that there's nothing he could do to change their mind. That would not have been the case if Klay was still playing like his usual self. Steph have done it so why can't he? I don't blame the management for wanting to trade him and let Steph be the last remaining of their Golden era.

Klay and Steph are on the different situation, although they were called splash brothers and great shooters as proven, Klay went on a surgery due to serious injury that cost him to miss at least 1 season. That was from their championship game against the Raptors where they lose due to injury. Business is business, I mean, that's how the team look to its player, and since Klay's production, they might just let him go or will offer a lower contract, it's all up to Klay now if he would accept it and try elsewhere that he could get a decent contract and play to a team that is a playoffs contender.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 30, 2024, 02:25:26 AM
No Ginebra in the finals but still there's the San Miguel Beermen that just swept them. And we're still waiting for the result of Magnolia and Phoenix Fuel Masters. I thought that it's gonna be a sweep too but let's see on the what ifs it is going to be Fuel Masters that will be making a history of doing a straigh 2 more wins. Otherwise, if they lose on Wednesday on the MOA arena against the Magnolia then that's it, it's going to be SMB and Magnolia at the grand finals.
I can't remember the last time these two met in the Finals, but I remember that Magnolia once became a champion. Although on paper it may seemed look like SMB is the heavy favorite, but things could be different in the FInals, just like how these Magnolia vs Phoenix has turned out to be. I hope there will be no sweep in the Finals, otherwise it will be a boring series. Magnolia is still capable though against a firepower Magnolia, if SMB have JMF, Magnolia also has Laput who is a 7 footer if I'm not mistaken.
376  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: January 27, 2024, 02:19:08 PM
First thing I see is "CAN I WITHDRAW MY WINNINGS WITHOUT ANY HASSEL?" and then check KYC rules and lastly this might be a vey unpopular opinion but I like to see the UI of website because if i am willing to loss my money in there atleast make it visually appealing so it doesn't look so bad after all.
to find our those qualities then you must play in crypto reputable casinos and which can be found ? here in forum mate  as we have been advertising so many legit casino some may experience issues but the important part is that they are handling with care to remain their players doing it.
and also always check reputation and scam section to look on what the standing of each casinos.

Agree with you mate here in our forum we can see a lot of casino that are trusted enough and reputable so without hesitation we can play with them. But if you have a doubt then you can freely visit their announcement thread which is you can get more ideas and read those feedback by other gamblers who are already play with the casino here in our community. Also you can try small amount and if you are comfortable ik their services then you can start  increasing or decreasing your bet.
There are many gambling sites in this forum but not all sites are trustworthy. There are also many scam sites because anyone can market a casino site or crypto site and create an ANN for that site and spend some money to run a campaign here so not all sites can be trusted.  If you deposit a small amount of money there and don't care about losing it then you can jump into gambling at any site but if you want to gamble there for a long time and deposit a large amount then after a lot of research you should choose a site.
Countless also had positive reviews but are fake and much more seeing all the feedbacks are positive, that is somewhat unreal and questionable. I'd rather want to see a mixed response of positive and negative because that is what is seemingly the actual experience of the users. That is why I don't easily trust casinos, especially new ones, I'd rather do more research or even try just to verify the legitimacy of the site before making a deposit.
 - we can't find 100% assurance about the safety of our funds but at least we are not using the sites that are obviously scams.
377  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 27, 2024, 01:30:18 PM
There was a friend of mine who visited me a day after and he was saying gambling every day draws you more closer to winning.

I asked him how?

He said when you keep trying luck every day you stand the chance not to miss your luck of winning, he also made reference to few people around our locality who won outrageous Money within 31 Dec to 1 January 2024, asking if I knew how often those people keep trying for them to have the winning they got.

I said No! He then say the more you space the more I missed my chances of winning but what I came to understand is that, the more anyone keeps trying the slimmer such persons turns into gambling addiction becus such person will always want to gamble regularly stirring up some forms of pressure to himself. When there is no money to gamble such person don't mind going extramile to source for funds since he has install this mentality of regularly gambling without giving break.

My question is do you think gambling every day is better? From his reasoning and points of narrations.
In my personal opinion, gambling every day will make you addicted, whatever the reason, your friend saying that gambling every day has a higher chance of winning is wrong. In fact, it will take you one step closer to falling into a gambling addiction.

Words like what your friend said have become something that is often said in gambling games, if the stopping distance is far then winning will be difficult to achieve. It's the same as people who say that your account never wins because it has been flagged by the bookie and you have to create another account with a different ID. Actually, this is just a feeling, not a strategy that if you follow it you will win. If you do this pattern every time you gamble, I'm sure you will get addicted.
Those people who gamble every day will soon compromise their financial stability. The impact is not instant but the results are fatal. Doing this is just like we are losing control of ourselves and it was more than addiction. It was not a chance of winning anymore but already a fulfillment of such addiction and bad gambling habits. Those who say it was better are those who are running the business citing the good benefits of gamblers but in the end, they are the ones who benefited from them. Once we've been in this situation, the harder we escape and possibly not.

Gambling is not all about the aim of winning against the house but also, it winning from our greed and emotions. Otherwise, we will experience being broke and empty.
378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the end of excitement on: January 27, 2024, 12:03:18 PM

Does that mean the excitement days are over. Has bitcoin become boring in terms of big price fluctuations☹️

You can be here and hold Bitcoin for 10 years if it is boring. It was not the fluctuation that made you feel bored but impatience.
I have a different view about the market behavior, the ups and downs of prices mean a lot in the crypto space and this is what it adds interest to the community.

I don't know the status of your investment but once a person becomes desperate to make money, that gives trouble on their mind and has mixed emotions. If you try to understand the market volatility OP and remain optimistic, then you can see how it helps you to make a profit. If you want to earn more, then invest more as well.
379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short Term Trading Altcoins and Meme Coins? on: January 27, 2024, 11:18:38 AM
As long as I can see that it is possible to make a profit, why not? I have some short-term meme coins, and others are also long-term. Because I have meme coins that I hold, I do short-term trading, and I also have some meme coins that I hold for long-term trading as well.

Now, when it comes to other altcoins, I also have holdings that are made short- and long-term because of me, because even if it is a shitcoin in the sight of other crypto communities if I see the hype that I can make money with, I will go with it, and my car is just that simple.
I appreciate how you feel in love with these meme coins and you are right, some are worth investing in the short term but I couldn't agree with the long term. Not really I hate them as I was also in the party when the hype hit but I never hold any of them for they are not worth enough to hold after seeing a number of meme coins turn to scams and die after a few months of their market launch.

I never change my mind and think that meme coins are not good for the long term.
We'd just look around the market and only Doge, Shiba, and Pepe coins are popular among meme coins while the rest are quite dead already. How to imagine in investing a project where the trend is declining? It can't be a good choice either.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has Airdrop season begun? on: January 27, 2024, 09:28:18 AM
Airdrop coins have been widespread and encourage people to join them but guess, despite the huge rewards they are saying, only a few (less experienced) take the bait while the majority are ignoring them because these airdrops are no longer valuable this time unlike in the past years.

They are free, yes, but the problem is the fees when moving them to other wallets, even swapping costs a lot. Honestly, participating in airdrops is just a waste of time. Just to imagine if airdrops are worthy, people get crazy joining them but they're not which is why only a few have the guts to spend their time and earn nothing.
