3961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought this stuff with Bitcoin, great way for people to become aware of Bitcoin on: January 20, 2020, 04:30:51 PM
It is just like telling people that you can buy stuff online/anywhere using debit and credit card, although you can persuade them by telling them that you whatever or how much you're hodling is gonna be always there. There ain't no maintaining fees that could cause closure of your account because there is no such thing as an account in Bitcoin, unless you're using an online wallet which is highly discourage especially for the means of "hodling" . There ain't no strict requirements. Just you, your money and your device (whether it'd be mobile or desktop). This would, however, just increase the chance of persuading people to invest in Bitcoin, and not just merely being aware of it.
3962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin ideas do you have? Share it! on: January 20, 2020, 02:51:49 PM
I think we can teach the people about Bitcoins personally and starting from our families , telling your mom , dad , siblings and telling them how it works and how you can use the bitcoins for a greater cause.
Other than that I think one can sell their services locally using bitcoins , like artists and all .
We can actually make it like a topic in our university or in our school , teaching people about Bitcoins , telling them what it is , just like a normal awareness drill .
Also at the same time keep telling people that yes , you are involved in bitcoins and telling them how it works and how you can earn in it .
It will be easy to tell to your families including your dog, but I wish it was that easy to sell service using Bitcoin. The only problem lies at whether your area ,or in bigger scale, your country accept Bitcoin as an alternative currency. People use it as an investment mostly, and it will be always like that when you're trying to convince someone to put a money in cryptos.

Actually for the school, we have few schools that wants their students to study Bitcoin. One of it will be France.
It's quite a nice read : https://cointelegraph.com/news/french-high-school-students-will-learn-about-bitcoin-and-crypto
3963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [VIDEO] Bitcoin is a fraud where a gift record is presented as a market item on: January 20, 2020, 02:44:18 PM

If you don't trust Bitcoin then why have an account on this forum? Nowadays people try to misinform people at any cost, so that they never go beyond their economic status. There is nothing wrong with warning people, but this is not warning, just manipulation. It cannot be fraud, given that the market already exists as a means of payment and people have made a lot of money investing in BTC. It is just a manipulation for people to sell their investments and the BTC price to fall.

It is the internet. It's gonna be either plenty of trolls or those who encourage people. There will be FUDs. I got dozens of receipts already in my wallet when I tend to convert my BTC to fiat which is equivalent as to selling it.
No matter how hard we try to stop the manipulation, there will be people that'll just go straight up panic out of crypto.
3964  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Okay. Charge tax on bitcoin. Is this fair policy? on: January 20, 2020, 02:30:40 PM
If there's gonna be a tax in connection with Bitcoin, it should be just within those financial institutions that allows people to sell Bitcoin. We got SCI here in our country that is all about the industry in linked with Bitcoin.
I believe that it shouldn't be taxed though because in the end people will still sell them to fiat money, and I guess they should take into consideration to tax fiat and any centralized institutions. Leave Bitcoin as it is.
3965  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever trade at work? on: January 18, 2020, 06:24:25 PM

but if anyone has done it I think it is a very risky activity because if caught by the boss then most likely the person will be scolded
not only scolded in my opinion, the biggest risk is to be fired, because it violates office rules, and besides that it violates office hours that should work but is used for personal gain, but it would be a different story if the company owner also trades, I think this can be an advantage, because it can be close to the owner of the company because it has the same hobby.

Sometimes it might depend on how urgent your current assignment is at work, but regardless of the conditions on what you're doing you shouldn't be caught by your boss doing other things unless he or she is like a close of you although that is kinda biased for your co-workers, it would still be best to avoid it. You're earning anyway in your job so you could just take it as a part time at home.
3966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people debate so much about BTC value? on: January 18, 2020, 06:22:33 PM
They wouldn't be able to hold it, OP. You can't blame though. Surely we're gonna get some more adoption anyway in BTC so this debate will probably stop once a lot of people start utilizing it.
I can pay my electric bills using BTC, and I got some local app for that so that's quite convenient actually. Slowly we're getting there.
3967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can make more profit ? on: January 18, 2020, 05:35:46 PM
What you think more profit, participate in IEO or wait after IEO and buy the token from exchanges?

for the current situation, I will choose to seek profit from the exchange because for the time being there are many IEOs that have experienced scams and do not have good potential in the future. so we are better off looking for profits after IEO ends and is listed on the exchange than we buy when IEO takes place because after being listed on the exchange then we can see the development and growth of the altcoin in the market. if it's good then we buy it and if it's bad then leave it.

I think you just hit the bad luck when it comes to finding IEOs. IEOs could potentially lessen scams anyway because of the requirements they need to submit. Unless  that devs could fool a large and reputated exchange like Binance, then I think you should be okay for now at least.
3968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protect Yourself And You Protect Your Assets on: January 18, 2020, 05:33:37 PM
Yes, we really need to protect ourselves. But it's not just in the real world but also on social media, let's not show off our trading profits, bounties and anywhere else. Let's not post this just to have likes on facebook and to be famous.
Because it can also cause you to be target by people who are interested in your money.

We must be silent earners, so that our lives will not be in danger.
It is true. that happened to my neighbour in 2017. The incident began when he often exhibited whatever he got. when he uploaded his new car on Facebook and wrote a caption that the car was obtained from the advantages of trading in bitcoin. The next day, he was robbed by an unknown person and also forced to move bitcoin private key data into the flash disk. Laptops and other valuables had been brought by a group of robbers. Really pity.

This is why I tell people to not boast too much about their earnings in crypto especially outside the forum. You never know who are the people behind those profile that stalks your profile right now.
This is also why I stopped staying in Facebook at full-time like 8 hours a day.
3969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCNEX - "SCAM" Withdrawals are no longer available. on: January 18, 2020, 05:31:58 PM
That kinda sucks, OP.
You should probably move this to scam accusation thread.
This is uncommon for some exchanges. This is why I advise many people to not hodl their coins in an unknown exchange or not that widely known exchange.
You could try to get in touch with them because they seemingly froze your account there.
3970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities using Bitcoin today? on: January 18, 2020, 05:26:48 PM
Here in my country, I don't remember anyone hodling and crypto not even Bitcoin.
The adoption could have  been growing exponentially if there were few celebs hodling it, because probably they're gonna boast their hodlings in whatever show they're included making it like promotion or advertisement to Bitcoin which is quite favorable for everybody here in crypto-space.
3971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the altcoin market being manipulated in 2020? on: January 18, 2020, 04:31:42 PM
Hello There!  Wink

At one time, I stopped being interested in the altcoin-markets because of the situation there. Famous projects were dropping their bags off to gullible investors to get even more money.

Do you think the situation has changed in the year 2020?  Huh
Is it safe to trade ERC-20 tokens and is it possible to earn something else?

Situation isn't  new. It was like this especially for Bitcoin, maybe for us hodlers back in 2017. If there's new, it would be mostly just the launch of new platforms for letting people in cryptos.
I remembered the launch of Bakkt before even though that was 2019, but I am pretty sure the wave of effect of its launch still gets felt until now, especially due to the bull runs we're getting right now although I know it shouldn't have any effect right now.
3972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we boycott the Facebook Coin (Project Libra)? on: January 18, 2020, 04:29:02 PM
Facebook is the antithesis of everything Satoshi stood for.
~

I have never been worried about the presence of Facebook (Libra) in the world of cryptocurency ... because I am sure there is not a single Coin that can compete with bitcoin up to this moment ... whoever and wherever they are and no matter how much capital they use it will not eliminate popularity BITCOIN in the crypto world ... so there's no need for us to do something about Facebook (libra) .
Well some people are claiming that Libra will have some sort of impact to Bitcoin due to its crypto-being in nature, maybe those who are staying 24/7 in Facebook would probably think of dropping a single quarter of investment but for me I won't invest in it ever. I already had issue with privacy in Facebook before.
3973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crime is getting Worse, what do we do? on: January 18, 2020, 04:26:23 PM
Regulation is a must in order to reduce the cryptocurrency crimes that we are experiencing right now. With the right rules and regulation and also cooperation from the developers of each cryptocurrency then it might be possible for us to lessen it. We can only reduce it and not remove it because it is a normal thing for a currency to be used in illegal activities like what is happening to us dollar.
I half-heartedly agree with this statement. We don't need a strict regulation though. Good thing we got IEOs that requires team to pass the requirements that the exchange needs from them plus making them pay listing fee, which is just a fractional part of probability that the project isn't a scam project.
Reviews won't help reduce scams, if someone else is thinking about that already because it might just end up a paid review as well as paid KYC test.
3974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you prefer to hold for more than a year? on: January 18, 2020, 04:22:59 PM
It's gonna Bitcoin, because why not?
If there's gonna be an alternative "Bitcoin" for me, it would still be Ethereum in my own end. It's plan ABABABA.
Other coins in the market would be just like a 1 day of a day trade for me, but hey I ain't yet going back to that. Still gonna stick to these two long-term hodl. I'll take advices from other people though for long-term hodling.
3975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crime is getting Worse, what do we do? on: January 17, 2020, 07:22:08 PM
If you know that you earned already from a certain project and you're still planning to earn, just stay on that project. Sometimes it is the fault of investors on that's why these scams are still happening.
1st - These investors/traders keep their funds inside of an exchange.
2nd - Those investors keep feeding the beasts, that's why it keeps coming back to crypto-space.
3rd - Those investors keep posting publicly in social media about their crypto trades like advertising this exchange and that. This also leads to crypto robbery at home. I'd read long time ago about a family held at gunpoint and got their BTC robbed.
3976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Features of a new Bitcoin? on: January 17, 2020, 07:18:07 PM
I appreciate OP's initiative and dedication for making such coin that would be somehow different, if not better, from Bitcoin. OP, so far I don't have any features in mind because it might end up like those 95% alts that would turn into shitcoins. Probably get a unique name for it though. Do you have a team though? I think you could brainstorm it together, while hearing your thoughts from us about the idea you're having lately.
3977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are mainstream events linked to crypto's price movement on the market? on: January 17, 2020, 06:50:53 PM
If I heard the Libra announcement like a year before I learned about Bitcoin (assuming that it was announced during 2016), then I would never think of investing in cryptos at all even if they mentioned that.
It depends on some people that heard it. Maybe they'll be curious of it.
Consider also the effect of what the media will tell them in case the non-crypto people got curious of what cryptos are and also what the common reference like the Wikipedia will tell them.
3978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: token supply on: January 17, 2020, 06:47:50 PM
It just encourages a lot of investors to buy many tokens. It's like a trick to their eyes that it will surely be an expensive coin in the future, but it turns out it is the opposite. In fact, these project with overwhelmingly high supplies but shit value are quite common actually.
3979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Crypto at Gas Stations on: January 17, 2020, 06:46:09 PM
I was about to say that it is gonna be a great addition to the use of Blockchain. In fact I can see the use of it in basic ways in our daily lives, but I had the thought of seeing the sign in gasoline stations about the not using mobile pones while refueling.
The way of refueling might be different in other country, because in my country we tend to stay in our ride as a crew aids the refueling.
Other countries tend to just pay first inside of the convenience store before it gets refueled so I think it is gonna be applicable and somehow less dangerous for them.
3980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top coins to have in my portfolio? on: January 17, 2020, 06:42:48 PM
I think I'll just stay with my usual choice. BTC and ETH for now.
I probably want to look into BNB but it seems like a new investment for me and I don't know how would it go for the next year or two and no I won't day trade anytime soon .
