Anyone else experiencing full 3 minute adds on YouTube that can't be skipped? Not only that, they are on every video that I want to see and another full length add pops up half way through the video. Now to watch a 14 minute video I have to sit through two 3 minute BS trader adds. FUCK YOU YOUTUBE! Waste my time and I'll work hard to replace you.

I think he might actually believe his ramblings, if so and possibly even if not, mental health risks and concerns should be obvious to any reader. Perhaps he is being paid, actually, speaking of which, I've always wondered if you are or have been paid to post? I can't recall the topic ever but it must have been discussed, you know, paid by word perhaps? This event makes absolutely no sense. The only funds you should be storing with a third party or custodial wallet are funds which are actively being traded. If you are not actively trading, then why are you storing your bitcoin on an exchange or with a third party? And if you are going to go to the effort of setting up your own wallet and transferring your bitcoin out on January 3rd, why on Earth would you then transfer this bitcoin back to the third party on January 4th? If you are truly concerned that the third party you are using is not solvent, then by the time you try to withdraw on January 3rd along with hundreds or thousands of other users, then you may already be too late. Furthermore, companies know this is coming so could quite easily sell other assets to cover the date, whilst still not holding enough bitcoin the other 364 days of the year.
The whole thing is just backwards. If you want "proof of keys", then hold the keys yourself. Any other solution is incomplete.
This event makes absolutely no sense. Sir, I believe you are grossly underestimating the amount of people who have their holdings on an exchange for the mere fact that they have not yet learned how to hold on a wallet or understand the implications of allowing a custodial to do it for them. Less than 1 year ago several friends lost a substantial amount to the quadrigacx exit scam. Had they understood that exchanges were not actual banks but more of a wild west or had the support or understanding to transfer to a wallet, this wouldn't have happened. You are correct with the entirety of the rest of your rant however this event nor the intention of my post is aimed at someone who already understands the nature of Bitcoin and how to Hodl. You will do more harm than good to make such comments in an environment with so much misunderstanding. Please consider. This is a positive event that makes sense on many levels. |

So what’s up with the YouTube censoring BTC videos.... maybe it’s good cause to many sh*tty vids anyway, though some guys are on point ...... pity for them I’ve been hearing the most crazy things like it’s not YouTube censoring them, but coordinated attacks etc  So many BS these days, but guys like Ivan on Tech for example why would he be censored?? He doesn’t do anything wrong imo.... To be Honest, people are paying those Video making Clowns for absolute 0 Influence on the people, while we here laugh at the attempts and wait.. Good the WO didn’t invest in your awesome idea .... you would have been censored as well.... we lucky ..... Yeah good thing the WO Community did not invest into an real Advertising ideal, very lucky. Um...could you elaborate? Something went whoosh... I've found the best avoidance to this scenario is a planned vacation far away from everyone over the holidays. Just simply call the ones you need to on Christmas and claim you'd like to be there but distance and such. Has worked out really well for me the past decade plus more meaningful conversations tend to happen over the phone. If that's not an option, there's always drugs. |

I was watching Expanse for the first time. There are some cultural references in that show that might apply here as well. 1. It is unlikely that bitcoin would be accepted by a majority of populace. 2. Accordingly, we need to care more about bitcoin and bitcoiner's than to actively proselytize. 3. Instead, we should try to create our own culture and facilitate this process. Others can join on their own (where and when THEY are ready). 4. Maybe, we should even try to introduce new words/language to help with culture distinction. This is already happening, slowly. Obviously, this is a spontaneous process.

Never myself been a fan of all these streaming services; pirated or legitimate. Firstly I like having all my content local and on hand, plus I don't like how it can be on a service one day and gone the next (with rights issues and such)
