We are at Dec 3, 2017´s price... 12 days later we were at ATH.

Based on the above we could be in the next bear market within a month.

Time perception is much different now.  Bubble or are we re-entering a price discovery?

Edit: If it plays out the same I hope we dwarf the shit out of 20K first

Boom! New AYH achieved again! Passing 11200 right now.

my 2c about bitcoin and [helping] children.

IMHO, parents should help children achieve what they want to achieve and that's it.
Practically: get them into the best pre-school and school that you can manage/afford, guide their learning and sports activities (in balance), never deny them what they ask as far as education goes (museums, trips, etc.).
I also think that parents should pay as close to 100% of educational expenses (including college) as possible.

After this, the only way I see myself helping is a house downpayment (in expensive cities).
They have to be able to be independent, not rely on trust funds, even if your btc winnings would allow for this in a few years.
Later on, they will get their inheritance, but, hopefully, they would be ready for it then.

I agree and I also believe teaching them to save with their own earnings (regardless of any debts owing) is crucial at a young age.  I started a savings account with my son in BTC when he turned 19 with the understanding that it will be a deposit only account until he's 40 or decided to buy a home.  A very small amount goes in each month.  My hope is that it'll represent/reinforce the notion of personal financial security while the value increases until a time where it actually does offer such security.

Pro-tip: If you use BTC to conveniently buy stuff, replace it fairly soon. Because, pizza.

That's the best way, I've always gone down that route. I love using BTC but I loathe spending it haha so I always spend and replace.

Good luck today lads; I have a feeling today is the day

I don't shop tons on amazon but I've started buying more things there since I can use BTC and get a 25% discount. I keep some cash on the exchange just for such purchases so I can buy BTC then immediately pay without much or any exposure. I still can't believe I get a real life discount just for using BTC!
This arrived today.

After I read it I intend to pass it around a very close group of 10 men and their families.

Only $142 from $10k.
Is this the real life? Embarrassed
Is this just fantasy?  Tongue
Caught in a landslide

Wait no.... up up up, not down !

A little high, little low
Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me

It's time for me to start using the corn for day to day things.
This week I'm learning to be a better consumer and I've started making my household shopping list on Amazon and then proceeding to purchase everything via purse.io with BTC with a minimum 15% discount just for using BTC!
I will be allotting even more of my funds into Bitcoin with this shift.  Probably keep most of it in fiat on the exchange to buy as I shop or BTFD when its obvious. Makes sense right?
Feels good to actually use a little instead of just hoarding for the future.

Happy Saturday all!
The stamp set I ordered arrived. Time to upgrade this piece of paper.  4" galvanized box covers, perfect size = $2 each.  I'll bolt 3 plates together with nylock nuts.  Feels decently secure.

EDIT: The seed was pounded out on an old skool train rail anvil. CCMF!

It's a big nothing sandwich however bullish.

There's no real hopium for ETF, SEC approval are just for moonboys and when they does I guess the capitulation already started. What you think about it?
The market recently has matured and such news doesn't change anything. In fact, more traders realize that such news trigger short lived bull balloons that pop up pretty quickly.  Without ETF, we will see a steady growth beyond 20K. We entered the year-before-the-halving-accumulation zone and everyone who is clever enough, buys and waits at least six  months after the halving. That is the reason there are so few bitcoins on the exchanges in the last months. IMO, this is the main reason for the bull run and not some rumors.

In this case you can buy now and hold till Q4 then sell at $20k+ (I'm sure we'll see an ATH this year) which will be a very nice profit. If you're patient enough you can hold up to 6 months after the halving and sell at another ATH ($100-500k+ per BTC). So you can't really lose it's only a matter of how long you're willing to wait and how much money you will finally receive. Win-win  Cool

I don't get it
Why is everyone aiming to sell for FIAT? If and when crypto does go sky high late in 2020 then why would you turn to something that is losing its value? It just doesn't make sense. Either you believe that BTC will rule or you don't.

I'm just looking forward to the day (ca 2025) I can quit my job and buy a big summerhouse next to a lake for 0.1BTC.

In about three halving (2028), transaction fees would need to be $20 or thereabouts for miners to stay on BTC and stay afloat.
Feel free to explain how to "rule" when fees are crazy high. It only gets worse every 4 years.

What's the value of $20 in 2028?   Inflation will be the ruler for many. All the while Bitcoin proves its store of value strength. I'm pretty sure I'll be happy to pay the $20 if it means I get to keep my value.  Second layer solutions (if needed) will be easy to implement.

Wow, what a show! I've never seen bitcoin in such a volatile candle.  600-800 jumps like fighting a big fish. Must have gone back and forth a dozen times over 5 minutes.  Tempted to trade it.
753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 16, 2019, 01:52:06 AM
Hmmm.... something tells me we ain't pullin' back like a lot of folks have been expecting.  We've stayed pretty much at the top for over a week and keep pushing new highs daily. Easy temptation to take a profit while prices are seemingly high and there's been plenty of time to do it Wink   It's a trap!
I think we're in for another (rip-your-face-off) launch starting at 8.5k really soon.

Haha, look who wants your bitcoin, just got this email from coinbase.  Paypal won't allow you to buy BTC but they'll gladly relieve you of yours. SMH  Roll Eyes

Very nice,  just now sticking our nose through 7.5 k.  I'm ready for rockets!

OT but may be useful for those with large monitors.  I found a chrome extension that toggles the screen to dark mode on the forum and most everywhere else. https://mybrowseraddon.com/dark-mode.html.  Can't believe I've not found this sooner.

Choo Choo MF's,  slicing through 4,5,6 and now 7k like butter!

756  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 11, 2019, 04:53:00 PM
Is this growth parabolic or just normal due to the next ATH? Like back in 2013 $10 steps a day were huge and in 2016 $100 steps a day were huge.
$1000 today is huge but isn't after 10k  Wink
Looking at bitcoin from a 10 year perspective or even 5, its always been parabolic, right?
757  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 11, 2019, 04:39:27 PM
Daymn bitcorn.
Looks like fomo is getting served! Isn't this where people like Vinny Lingham buy the breakout?

Confession: All in at 6.3k

I think this price action wont quit until its got its prey. Think of all those new investors and peeps that wanted to take a position from the final bounce that isn't happening.

6.2k is my line in the sand marking a new bull run and it looks like we'll cross it any moment and we just crossed it.  Shit's about to get real.
