Andreas Antonopoulos

Why Bitcoin is The Next Bitcoin Cool

(Conference in Athens, Jul-2019, and uploaded, Oct-5)

Yep, watched this yesterday. Legend!
I really appreciated hearing that for Bitcoin to fail, it will need to TOTALLY 100% fail where its not possible to fix it. Ya, we're not even close to this.
Wasn't so happy that he said Bitcoin isn't likely to do 10x or 100x again  Cry but I think he was referring to the early time frames when it happened quickly.

@APompilano
Bitcoin is the best performing asset over the last decade.
https://twitter.com/apompliano/status/1181604172292149248?s=21

Buy before it’s too fucking expensive!

That’s where he is wrong..... the ultimate goal is... that it reaches a standard where it just can’t be to expensive Tongue

Uhh guys...an asset divisible to 8 decimals (and more with a small config change) is never too expensive. If the general public keeps believing in this myth of "btc too expensive" we will never get anywhere.
Isn't dollar price relation the problem?  Most are coming from the assumption that the dollar is king and everything should be measured against it.  Several things could slowly change this misconception, ie. hyperinflation, harsh capitol controls, bank runs, or simply where I think we are today in the financial re-education of the youth who likely will never see the opportunities that our generations had.  Bitcoin won't be strapped to USD forever IMHO but its anyone's guess how it'll move away and when.
For now we should start to consider using MBTC units as they will be the more attainable ladder into BTC for most. #stackingsats is trying but too far away I think.

Just going over Bitcoin's price history in my mind and remembering the last time we fell to 8K from the ATH. I remember the feelings of excitement at 8K even though we had already dropped about 58%. I thought that was the bottom at the time and Terra wasn't having any of it.
I remember her saying something along the lines of, bottom? "Bitcoin is eight fucking thousand dollars, get real!"

Anyhow, times are different now and because we've been here several times before, We might be looking at a new sideways support plateau similar to the previous 6K support line a year ago. I'm not saying it will result in the same drop, in fact I still think 7.3K will be a great discount bottom if we are to ever arrive there.  Thinking these sideways support zones will be the new norm going forward at least for awhile. It's slightly less volatile and there is slightly more support.
The normies on crypto twitter are screaming bear flag. Been around just long enough to remember how that goes.  Roll Eyes
Not really technical analysis because I got none of that but more SOMA of where I think we are.

TLDR?  8K is the bottom, BTFD!

I'd bet more people understand how the bitcoin network works than how the Federal Reserve does.

Central banking is complex to hide the truth.

Bitcoin is simple to show the truth.

It's by design.

This dood's on point in every tweet. Bot?

By the way, what's with the strange 1.14 l format?
Half Gallon (aka Handle 1.75 L seemed like too much of a commitment at the time. Variety is key to long lasting happiness.
Except for the corn, there is only 1.

Just bought the dip with the last of my exchange fiat. No lies, I'm feeling the crunch of the anticipated recession and there just isn't many dollars available recently. Anywho, fuck it, it feels good to sacrifice my work efforts for something worth believing in, no matter the price action. I'm very satisfied with the value transfer.  YOLO right? Straight to hodl!  #BTFD

652  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 06, 2019, 09:05:18 PM
I'm thinking $7300 will be the bottom of this.   I think too many people will pile on if we were to visit 6k again, I mean unless we are to test 3-4K again which I think is unlikely. $7300 will feel very bearish where I expect traders to sell in anticipation of a 6k support retest. Whales will take advantage of this anticipation and move prices higher.
This is not a price discovery market, its sentiment discovery and manipulation. The way I see it is:  Once the bulk of traders and noobs get comfortable with price swings and are able to either trade it or have simply resigned to HODL, the price moves up to recapture a new set of noob traders who'll be the next course of whale food.
Why would people investing into Bitcoin be a problem if it were to reach below $6k? It theoretically would not unless these people intend on dumping at the same time in the future which could cause another drop if its all done at the same time but the probability of that happening is next to none unless we have a few whales which buy very large amounts which could influence the market.
My point was that I believe whales control a significant portion of the price action. People piling on at 6k and below isn't good for someone who wants to control price action unless we are to go down from there of course which I already stated I think is unlikely. There are only so many coins in circulation and the HODL wave is growing all the time.  Cannot risk cheap prices for too long.
Watch the sentiment.  When things look really bad, I mean when everyone is second guessing their positions, its time to BUY! We're getting there and as stated above from another WO, a slow drain down is the most likely to bleed out any hopes.

Seriously, Its in your best interest not to make this overly complicated. I cringed reading your proposed method. Not saying it will happen to you but losing your stash is easy to do and remembering how to access it again years later can be difficult, or worse, a family member tosses it out after your passing. Don't be that guy, just keep things simple.  I'd highly suggest a trezor hardware wallet. You can get them for like $50 these days. You'll thank us later. Good luck!

The grass could be greener, I'm undecided.

Hope you all enjoy the bear market.

I'll come long some $BTC with you in 2020.

https://ibb.co/qsrtNNB

Mmm so in a few weeks??

$BTC to range
$alts to hit major resistances above
$BTC scam pump to $8.7 - $9k
$alts retrace to demand
You long $BTC
I short $BTC
You short $alts
I long $alts
You poor
I rich

Ok, you made one precise call at 8,420 and you're ready to make some more calls? You sir are on your way to fame and fortune for sure! As I understand you're short until 2020 or are you long now to 8.7K, I forget.
I'm always long BTC. I don't gamble or play with fire. Rich for me is not measured in $ or BTC but health, time, loved ones, and a positive attitude, open to change. You're attitude suggests that BTC is merely about money and capitalizing for your own wealth and recognition.
Am I wrong?

Just need to fire up the detention camps.
