Australia banning cash payments over 10k now.
First take their guns then make a move for the cash. http://www.news.com.au/finance/economy/federal-budget/cash-payments-over-10000-to-be-banned-as-government-targets-50-billion-black-economy/news-story/9df0646ba704bd170df5b3996d512f52

Sure, "Black Market", you mean money which you currently don't oversee and have control of?

Are the people just gonna roll over on this?  I suspect some will be looking at BTC as a possible alternative to fight the NWO.

Lol, glad I checked on the site, I was like "shit it's really happening". Lol

Fake fucking news site...

As soon as I read this I was WAT??, no fucking way!

Quote
In its response, the government said it agreed with or supported the majority of the recommendations, including potentially requiring wages to be paid into bank accounts, effectively outlawing cash-in-hand payments. Workers in the “gig economy” will also face greater scrutiny.

Really, Its a fake news site? How did you verify this or how could I.  I saw the news somewhere else initially and I searched for it.  I think news.com.au looks legit and is reporting on facts.  Here's another article on it.  http://bitcoinist.com/australia-criminalizes-cash-10k-funding-blockchain-research/

Some of the stats are accurate however.  Such as women and men in Asia more equally holding crypto and knowledge of.
I still find studies like this interesting even if the results are skewed.  One thing for sure... its a growing space!

Only 75.5 million in buys on Stamp. That's the lowest I've seen it since it broke 100.
Just had a moment of thinking that maybe we're not breaking 10k for awhile  Undecided (ya know, since everyone thinks its inevitable)
Tell me it isn't so.

the next positive forcast will get 1 smerit

Since this is limited to the positivity chart, the hourly green glade has been seen swiftly rejecting a fall below Vegetta.  This means we will absolutely be humming along to banjo picked Carolina tunes with our heads held high on our way to Sparta this week.

Well, this is still the wild west so to speak.  We're aware of the heavy manipulation and the fundamentals remain.   Don't use bitfinex, maybe don't trade it at all but not being invested at all in BTC isn't an option that I'd consider.

Eh you can go a bit easier JJG his comment wasn’t unreasonable.
Yup, I waz thinking the same. I enjoy hearing others sentiments/predictions and I wouldnt want others remaining silent for fear of being heavily critiqued.  Just sayin.

Just got this email from Bitstamp. They want me to label my incoming transfers as "INVESTMENT"
This will likely classify your crypto purchases for tax collection agencies.  Maybe I'm just overthinking it?

Dear Icygreen,

please follow this quick tip, to get the best possible Bitstamp experience:

When sending a deposit to Bitstamp from your bank, please write your deposit reference number and the words "investment deposit" as the remittance / transfer information.

Therefore, the transfer message should look like this: 123456789012 investment deposit

snipped.

#1. Your scenario doesn't matter because that isn't what happened and it doesn't matter anymore, also, see #2
#2. If bcash had forked at the same block as bitcoin, you may have an argument as to which is which but it didn't so bcash is the fork. You can't change how it happened.

Jesus christ man. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socratic_method

Sure, I'll be that guy who says "Ok, I understand your line of questioning".  You want to debate hypothetically on events that did not occur and may never occur. What could usefully come of this debate? All I can see is it continues to create doubt and question in a seemingly decided market/community.  Although your questioning is very suspicious at the top of this BCH pump  Roll Eyes  I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and accept you may have been confused for a moment and aren't a troll.

Have you been listening to Vinny?

So now we are back over $9000, may introduce the latest Lambo.

Ahhhh fuck that, I'd rather drive one of their tractors.
Agreed, no chance. And I thought it'd have an electric engine ya know to keep up with the ground breaking tech but nope, still mostly concerned about the engine sound apparently. Lamebo  Embarrassed

Nice! 9200.  Haven't seen that price in over a month.  Getting closer to the edge of the woods it might seem.
In other BTC related news.... Bitcoin's redheaded stepchild is getting a second life pump BTC/BTG.  Almost reached 1% again.  However still ignored until it ponies up a bit further.

work illegally

something is seriously wrong with any system where work is ever illegal

We're also still plugging away at a tried and failed system,  democracy and capitalism. So ya, things look kinda grim in the forecast while the majority of us either consent to doom or try to find the best loophole to escape cope with it.
So, what's the alternative to capitalism in your book? Cause I don't see anything wrong with it. It's the only system, if unobstructed, that self-regulates. Everything else is artificially steered by humans, humans that are inherently incapable of seeing the bigger picture of all the interactions in a system as complex as our planet. And so far I haven't even read about anything that comes even remotely close to capitalism.

Democracy on the other hand... is just the opposite extreme of authoritarian regimes and ultimately not much different.

capitalism feeds the human greed that's the biggest issue i see with it... That greed then leads man to make immoral decisions. The more power you have the better are the chances of you getting away with the crime...

Surely I don't have a working model for humans to follow vs. capitalism and I agree with Thekool1s, greed and power seeking are the largest problems. Greed and power separates us fundamentally.
I'm not sure how long but I don't believe capitalism will exist far into our evolution. I think our unique ability to be conscience of ourselves will ultimately lead us back to hive mind where 1 is no more important than another and in fact its critical that all participate selflessly and  simultaneously. Sort of like ants. Fire-ants if you like  Grin or bees.  Sure, there's a queen but shes not an authoritarian figure but responsible to create the strongest and most efficient community for the whole. Quite contrary to our current and historical attempts.
Humans cannot possibly evolve without passing through this simple and fundamental value of selflessness.
Democracy suggests that the majority will pass a vote. Compounded with greed (capitalism) leads to corruption and ultimately tyranny where only division is possible.  Currently humans are the biggest joke on the planet although we are unique in our ability to be self aware and pursue individual free will (tainted by our own constructs of democracy and capitalism).
Hive mind in my opinion is the only way forward and when we start to become this, those previous constructs will dissolve.

Soooo... noone has found the perfect country to spend the millions yet, no?

Elwar is still building it.

Here's some thoughtful entertainment on building a community.
Check out "Wild, wild country" aired on netflix.

It's the conspiratorial saga of Rajneeshpuram (Osho) community as it attempted self governance in the 80's in outback Oregon.

Surprisingly its led me to consider the importance of governance.

I'll take a look. I recently watched a show called Jungletown about the recreational colonization of a place called Kalu Yala that convinced me of the importance of despotic opportunists.

Very cool, modern day Rainbow gathering.  My 23 year old self is interested.  50 minutes outside Panama city... yikes.

I am pretty sure you can game the tax systems by “earning” all your income while offshore or in a tax free jurisdiction  and not staying in any particular Western country for more than 179 days [does not work for US citizens]

So fly to Dubai to cash out your BTC and then go skiing for a couple of months, rinse repeat.
The problem that I have is specifically with owning property in that kind of situation. I don't want to go from hotel to hotel or Airbnb to Airbnb for the travel part. But if I could just own two houses and have each of them set up as a fully functional base then I would be perfectly happy to just fly over from one to the other every 6 months. Just haven't found anything specific regarding this edge case yet.

Yup, 6 months here 6 there is pretty ideal. I've been doing perpetual summer for the better part of 20 years and its worked out very well.
Depending on the country, ownership of land or house can get tricky, especially in SE Asia it has a particular set of headaches. I prefer to rent/lease long term in Asia which also gives me the option to pick up and go much easier if needed and own in the countries which I have citizenship.

Just looked out the window.
I envy your lifestyle.

Haha I see that your neck of the woods is ankle deep in shit.  Disgusting, really.  I was depressed by the 12C and fog here, but now I'm laughing a little.  thanks  Cheesy

It’s a desolate, godless moonscape, totally uninhabitable. If we had dancing girls they’d be eaten by street-wolves.

Come to Thailand. It won´t be worse than this. If you avoid the girls, you´re home free !
And for half the money !
And you can drive around on a Moped, the whole year. That´s what i´m doing.
I´m blessed. No Joke !

Guys, i really can´t see, why you should end your life in such negative places, pack your things, even your family, and move !

Shhhh.... If everyone goes, it won't be cool anymore.
But really,  find a spot that will encourage you to stay active and possibly fit, eat healthy, live simply and cheaply. Cash is still king in these parts so financial anonymity is much easier achieved. Just don't work illegally and as mentioned before, avoid the chicken girls and the exotic lifestyle is yours.
