401  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is Happier: Stock investors or Bitcoin investors on: October 29, 2021, 12:44:27 PM
It's obvious that Bitcoin investors as well as hodlers and believers are highly happier right now.

Yeah apparently it looks that crypto gives much more returns  as compare to the stocks but at same time the losses in cryptocurrency are more too.

It really depends who is more happy of the two. I think who have gain profit from either crypto or bitcoin are more  happier ones. You just need to be in profit and it does not matter if it comes from stock investment or crypto investment.

There are few highly recommended as well as tried and tested ways with which you can make money through crypto trading:

- Least leverage if you are a fan of futures.
- Buy spot with microcap and hodl for a few months and then see it again, you'll see the difference.
- If your bought coins (that have a use case) are very much below your buy price, hodl till it gets back there and even higher. That's the history of crypto, you can check that all the coins that are currently breaking their ATH went more than 50% below the previous ATH, but are currently giving back profits to hodlers.

I believe stocks have as equal risk as crypto has, so comparisons are not going to work here but the facts are, you can go and check the stocks with least and highest marketcaps which, once fell down, didn't get up as quickly as cryptocurrencies did and even in "n" times profits ATM (esp. in bull run).
402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Tips- what kind of strategies do you use when playing? on: October 29, 2021, 11:31:43 AM
I do understand and you're right. There are instances that it's better to fold than to bluff, if you can bear with that round and you might lose not that much, it's better to fold.
But when you're in that hard situation and you're about to lose the last money you have and the cards isn't with you then you have to play that part of bluffing just as the last resort for survival.

That will be the final choice left, then as nothing could save me. I played yesterday and did the bluffing again (but not all-in), the results were not so good but they were not bad either. It was like, I got many good cards yesterday and wanted to test this bluffing part as we have all been discussing it very seriously, so I took the privilege in my hands and went on to scaring my opponents again. I ended up in profit TBH and I believe that bluffing can be useful in times when we are certain that our opponents will fold or they've got even worst cards than us (a wild guess). But yeah, I won't bluff each game because they'll know that I'm using it as a strategy, I'd instead wait for 2-3 games, whether I get good cards or not (if not, I fold during those 2-3 games) and then bluff, that's called a surprise bluff strategy.
403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the king on: October 28, 2021, 04:46:48 PM
@OP, Do you know why Bitcoin had been holding the number one position since more than a decade?

Due to:
- The total number of miners mining it, the AAA+ class security that Bitcoin provides in its transactions is provided in no other coin.
- The amount of total mining equipment being used worldwide to mine it.
- The difficulty it holds to be produced.
- Early investors who never sold their BTC no matter whatever prices they see on the charts, real hodlers.
- The electricity that's being used behind mining BTC.
- The validations BTC gets which are belonged to each and every PC that downloads full Blockchain.

And about taking over BTC?
LMAO, do you think it's that easy for any "street" coins or even major coins to get over it? If that was possible, BTC might had been already taken over, but just see this giant's marketcap. Now see ETH, do you see the difference? Even for a coin like ETH to get over BTC in ranks, it needs to gain at least 2.5-3x price so to gain that much marketcap. Is it possible? I think not.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin - a joke or a way to make money? on: October 28, 2021, 02:15:00 PM
@OP,
There are 2 ways I know of, with which demand increases of a coin:
- If the project has some solid features to offer and is unique in its own kind
- If some great personality starts talking about a coin which has nothing useful

In both cases, the price of that token will spike high multiple times but in the second case, it will go a lot higher because of the level of influence that personality makes over everyone.

IMHO, I used to think Doge was a joke, till Musk started to shill about it. Now, I don't think Doge remains shit anymore, but has gained some worth for waiting so many years but without any utilities.

Many probably don't care. Especially those managing scam/fake projects, and those who don't plan to pay their bounty members anyways.

Anyone active in the Croatian local board has seen the low quality "translational work" by our leading bounty translator. All you have to do is go here, and you will see which lad has opened most of the threads if you are wondering who I am talking about. Despite his negative ratings, that never stopped bounty managers employing him as their CRO translator. He recently got banned for another issue, so he has stopped.

@lKSLMNSLKnkndlksnkJ,
Hope the bold part helps you out (but for you to prove yourself innocent if you can).
I would rather urge Csmaimi (on a friendly note) to not give negative ratings straight away and warn the users (obviously except those who have been caught with alt accounts here) to either stop doing machine translations and even come and commit it here that they did it, and will not do machine translations again. If this one and only warning works out to spread its charm and the person literally changes his behavior towards his work, then your initiative will rather help people change and become good by getting back on the right track, or the next time they do it, we may all give such users red marks and personally ask bounty managers not to hire them for any translation jobs, be it bounty related or any other documents related translations.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Tips- what kind of strategies do you use when playing? on: October 28, 2021, 11:56:21 AM
Still, a strategy but you've got to be better than others if you think that you'll do this. That's why you have to intimidate the other opponents you've got sitting on other chairs.
It's always a guarantee win but when you're better than others then you have the edge but if not, then you just have to accept the fact that there are the others who's better than you in doing it.

Can accept it as a strategy, but the fact is, if you're bluffing all the time just because of your bad luck that you don't get good cards, will definitely help your opponents understand since the very first or maybe second time you bluff in front of them. Bluffing isn't something that really needs any sort of special skills so to think that others do it better, the fact here could be that the players catch us and sometimes, it's better to just fold rather than going ahead, thinking that if we double or increase our bet more than double, they may fold, and some even leave the table because of their steep financial behavior.
407  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Altcoin translator blacklist on: October 27, 2021, 06:11:47 PM
Hello Everyone,

While I agree that there is a lot of spam on BTT, the amount of translation spam is minimal compared to the bulk of spam posted around other parts of the site.

Hey Mark, we already know what you've explored now. In fact, this thread was made with the purpose to "specifically" weed out bad translators.

Quote
I’ve carefully read this thread a couple of times, and this feels like a smear.  To me, it is a case of a couple of mistakes being blown out of proportion to cast me in a bad light by a user who is looking for merit points, despite stating to the contrary (this thread garnered the poster two new merit points.)

You might also think that me and everyone posting here is doing it for the sake of merits? I guess not. We are just trying to appreciate Csmiami for his works. Simple as that.

Quote
As Stedsm stated: “That's a great initiative started by you Csmiami, but do you really think bounty managers do care?”

I stated that to point out the failure as well as irresponsibility shown by many bounty managers here.

Quote
Everyone makes mistakes now and then.  My point is, will you recognize this to be true among human beings and realize rushing to judgement and punishing people like that is counterproductive for the site?

We are none to judge or punish you, it's you who do your karma and then either repent or feel discouraged like you are ATM.

Quote
Although, I am optimistic that you can, I do not hold out hope that anything will change here.  It sounds like judgement has already been passed and the rest is just semantics.

Even if your name is kept here, doesn't mean the doors of translations have been closed for you here completely. But being an honest friend of yours (like everybody else's), I'd urge you to take care not to repeat the same thing later because then, that won't be called a mistake committed but rather an intentional behavior just to get the tokens. I hope you understand.
408  Economy / Trading Discussion / Have you ever traded (crypto) volatility index? on: October 27, 2021, 05:11:31 PM
For those who don't know about this term, below is an explanation:
Crypto Volatility Index (CVI) is the first-of-its-kind decentralized Crypto Volatility Index for the crypto market. The CVI allows users to hedge themselves against market volatility and impermanent loss. CVI is a full-scale decentralized ecosystem that brings the sophisticated and very popular “market fear index” into the crypto market. It is created by computing a decentralized volatility index from cryptocurrency option prices, together with analyzing the market’s expectation of future volatility.

More at: https://defipulse.com/crypto-volatility-index

Anyways, I'd like to know about anybody's experience who ever traded crypto volatility index or even forex markets based volatility index? I've learnt that making money on a constant basis is easier by trading this than going for risky altcoins' futures trades. While holding bigger risks, this index trading also gives us highest rewards if done properly.
409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Now the price is bullish on: October 26, 2021, 11:48:52 PM
I think that we will not see 20 in the near future. Although Bitcoin is not the most predictable currency, there is no need to say for sure.
Do you mean BTC price to drop $20k? The current price is about $60k and probably continues to increase because of much positive news lately. So, it doesn't make sense if Bitcoin price drops $20k in the near future. Instead, I assume the Bitcoin price to increase again above $65k in the next few weeks. Even if Bitcoin price is sometimes unpredictable but it looks like in a good trend, that's why I predict it is likely to increase again.  Wink

Please read back to what he said. He never said that BTC would fall below $20k but he thinks BTC will not go $20k anytime in the near future.

However, @zaesvlas please do remember that BTC had been the most unpredictable cryptocurrency and saw a steep decrease of more than 50% (towards <$30k) in its price after reaching $65k ATH for the very first time, so thinking that it's not possible itself is unreal. Anything can happen any moment because even after having institutions involved at that time, BTC did a hard correction in its price then how can you think that it's not possible for BTC to get there again? I do believe that the recovery was quick and healthy but the faster it goes up, the faster there comes a correction. Though, BTC may not go there for some time because Nov-Dec-Jan trio had always been very bullish for BTC.
410  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - Advanced Dice Game 🎲 Sportsbook 🏟️ Slots 🎰 on: October 26, 2021, 11:32:29 PM
Actually there's no risk with the casinos who will have an exchanger. The risk only comes if they're the one who's going to have their own exchange inside their casino but many of the casinos that has their own exchange insides are just integration of a 3rd party service.
They just have to connect their customers with an exchanger which is the 3rd party and it will do the job for those customers that want to exchange their deposits.

I've seen a few casino and dice sites which have their in-built exchangers where you can directly exchange your coins to all types of coins that are available for withdrawal on those sites. But the catch, the fees were high compared to what you'd generally pay on an exchanger outside if you go there directly (this also applies to third party exchangers involved in the casino/dice sites because these sites also add up their commission plus the exchanger's fee).
411  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is Happier: Stock investors or Bitcoin investors on: October 26, 2021, 11:12:44 PM
It's obvious that Bitcoin investors as well as hodlers and believers are highly happier right now.

None of the stocks in this world have give such unbelievable returns that BTC gave. Stocks once dumped take a very long time (like years) while crypto recovers very quickly and gives various opportunities to the investors even from the lowest. The only major difference I see between stocks and crypto investments is that, I saw a father asking a kid whether he'd go for stocks or crypto? The kid quickly replied stocks, because he knew that stocks are regulated but crypto isn't.
412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ban on Binance Futures on: October 26, 2021, 09:24:17 PM
Simple, you won't be allowed to go to futures even after using a VPN as Binance knows everything about you (at least what you told them when you created your account).
This is the major flaw when we talk about regulations, we were dying for it. Now it's taking back things from us we already had and were happily enjoying it before we even thought of asking for regulations.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks either adapt or face death on: October 26, 2021, 08:58:24 PM
When I mention "death" in the post, I meant the death of the old financial regime where banks own your money. Ca'mon, it wouldn't be posted any other way. We are still slaves of a regime where we are forced to receive our payroll through a Bank. In case the government has something against you, they have the power to take over what is yours and freeze your bank accounts. while cryptos give you back the power over your money and total financial freedom, banks own your money and decide if and when you can access it or not. So, why shouldn't I be pledging over the "death" of a corrupt Banking system when there is already a better system at our disposal?

I get your point and I believe I misunderstood somewhere.
Okay, even after this point, I'd argue that if you'll try to end their banking power as well as the level of corruption that's spread, what will they do? They'll simply take away what you have, what's giving you power back in your hands, i.e.; crypto.

Trust me, the legalisations, regulations and all that shit we are expecting from our governments to give us the freedom to trade crypto without fear, is giving back the power in their hands because they'll be able to trace your investments as well as when you take your money out from/through crypto.

I believe banks of various countries have already started working with crypto exchanges? Some banks even give loans on BTC. What do you think? Why are they doing this? To collect data, information of all those who are involved. The governments could easily stop all this by banning the way China did, but why aren't they doing it? Because they've understood that people are crazy behind "privacy", "anonymity" and "be your own bank" kinda phrases and governments know how to take full advantage of all this while also knowing who's doing what. They will loot us through levying various taxes once major countries start to legalize and regulate crypto.
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Tips- what kind of strategies do you use when playing? on: October 26, 2021, 08:48:00 PM
--snip--
Bluffing is good if you know how to intimidate the other players as you're too confident bluffing it. But in actual table, the face-to-face one, you might find it hard to do that if the opponents are better than you.

Right, bluffing sucks TBH.
I tried playing some tournaments and when there were bad or even worst combinations with me, I tried to scare my opponents by going either all-in or for very big amounts, but when they actually play ahead instead of folding, I lose. This isn't a strategy TBH but just a way to fool others and make money in poker.

@OP, till good cards appear in your hands, don't even try to go ahead and don't bluff if you don't know what are the consequences gonna be!

First user that is going to get his terrible job exposed on this thread, I'm almost nervous!

User: lKSLMNSLKnkndlksnkJ

--snip--

Wow, what an amazing find!
I'm more surprised when I saw julerz12's trust feedback just below yours which says that this guy lKSLMNSLKnkndlksnkJ worked as a translator in one of the bounties julerz12 managed, and I don't know what made him recommend that translator. I'm not aware with whether julerz12 understands Spanish language personally or gave this feedback just because that guy translated the given material (or else, something's fishy maybe?)
416  Other / Meta / Re: Hai mate, i need some advice regarding reporting spammers to moderators on: October 26, 2021, 07:45:32 PM
I've had been busy with a lot of things lately due to which couldn't do the reporting part, but I feel privileged when I see highly motivated users like you who do the needful. Keep up the great work, and if I get some time, I'll also join you guys in your initiative to make this forum a beautiful place once again.

I believe that local boards should also not be overlooked as there are many who talk nothing of any use but increase their number, so if someone from their (belonged) local boards sees such spammy actions, please report them as well and don't let them go un-handled as well as empty-handed.
417  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Altcoin translator blacklist on: October 26, 2021, 07:25:51 PM
That's a great initiative started by you Csmiami, but do you really think bounty managers do care? I believe it's either out of their knowledge (the languages I'm talking about) or they just give away the stakes after considering the translated Ann, website and/or whitepaper as complete and as most of the altcoin related (local) boards are either empty or overlooked by most members here, I hardly believe anyone would care enough to complain. Still, the language I know better, i.e.; Hindi, if I find anything irrelevant or incorrect in the translations by any translator in our local boards, I'll definitely update. Smiley
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Genting Casinos awarded for their safer betting standards on: October 26, 2021, 07:10:22 PM
As the awards were limited to UK based casinos, I don't think it gives them the complete advantage over all the casinos worldwide because no other comparisons were made. I truly believe that online casinos are also doing much better at serving their users while also letting addicted gamblers keep safe distance by having their own helplines to talk about it (a very few have it) or others also redirect to gambleresponsibly.

But yeah, such awards must be organised on a global basis so to let worldwide casinos take part in such programs to showcase their integrity levels and present the world with how responsibly they are taking care of all the departments that come under gambling industry.
419  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinmarketcap hacked on: October 25, 2021, 11:00:23 PM
Ridiculous how hackers try to steal data and information for their personal benefits. CMC seems to be working fine, I didn't see any kinda glitch on their site, don't know how and when this hack took place. I've got an account there, but as they claim that the passwords were not leaked, I still smell something fishy happening behind the curtain and I hope that their claims are not proven bullshit later on.

Even if our passwords are not leaked at CMC but some users whose email addresses ever got hacked (with their passwords) could be matched with the ones in the database that was received by the hacker and they may use those users' e-mail address' password, and who know if a user has used the same password here and at many places? It'll definitely ruin things for such users.
420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you spend your Bitcoin? on: October 25, 2021, 10:41:23 PM
Yes, I do.
I spend part of my coins to buy some cheap brand gift vouchers which bring me lots of free groceries as well as clothing and footwear. I cannot directly buy anything in India as of yet as any stores don't accept it and instead of buying with BTC from any online store, I'd just sell my BTC and buy with fiat and let the hassle evaporate out of my mind unless I'm so damn worried about my privacy.
