Any thougths/research on Magi (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.0)?
They have CPU mining, PoS-II, PoM & Unique BLK reward and are building there own payment processor.
From a first look the project looks pretty sophisticated. I think I try to upread on it today or tommorow.
422  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: March 08, 2015, 07:33:41 AM

Also meiner Meinung nach:

Vielleicht sogar in ganz Europa.

Cryddit: You are right, sorry. I now remember I heard this before, when visiting London.
I replied wrong to you, because we learned it wrong in school (the classic wrong story).

The big added value of an own forum is a good reason. (From my point of view.)
I never want to nag or force people to anything. I just write, what I think (is best). What I write, should always be unstood as friendly suggestion or requests for discussions/considerations.
428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do central banks attack bitcoin? on: March 07, 2015, 05:34:12 PM
Nobody trusts in euros by now and they can't risk that the mainstream has an opportunity to get out of euros and maybe uses something like btc.
WTF are you talking about? EuroZone still is and will be the strongest and some of the wealthiest economy. And so will be the Euro.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency - 0.8.8.6 on: March 07, 2015, 05:06:23 PM
Start a marketing conceptual design and discussion thread on https://forum.getmonero.org/ or let David Latapie as core member do it.
And then let's move (conceptual) marketing discussions there.

In general I encourage to start topics & discussions, participate and read more on the official forums. We need to get them really active. This will be a big asset.
At our own forums we can have private discussions, user titles and colors, no moderations restrictions, can ban trolls & co, special user groups, no restrictions on attachements, ...
We later could integrate a XMR tipping plugin in the forum software, have a board shoutbox that integrates with/is an IRC channel, have foreign language sub forums (esp. spanish, german, french, chinese, ...) ...

Once again, we need to get the official forum active. This is important. Help to move discussions & users there.

I register my account there now.

Ich verweise auf den Thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=978525.0.

Thema: Did Satoshi make any comments about the initial 'imbalance' of Bitcoin wealth?

Startpost:
Quote
This thread is not intended to bash (or spread fear about) the next generation of elite humans who will (probably) attain staggering wealth with their pile of Bitcoins:
Did Satoshi make public comments about the initial distribution of Bitcoins? I am curious if he addressed the subject, and I know we have some great historians and "Satoshi experts" around here. Also, If there are any quotes, please feel free to discuss the content.

Edit: To be more specific:
I'm not asking if Satoshi gave technical mining tips.
Did he discuss the fact that some early users would become "elite" with large amounts of Bitcoins and the affects that could have later?

Vielen herzlichen Dank.

If you count unknown to the general public/mainstream, I would suggest: Karlheinz Brandenburg for/with MP3.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karlheinz_Brandenburg
He is just known to the industry specialists and academic researchers.

His name isnt related to MP3 like Jobs, Bell, Tesla and Edison for their inventions.

i don't think in Crypto , there is someone else as good as Satoshi.

On the intellectual side of things, I suppose in another six centuries we'll still be arguing about who wrote under the pseudonym William Shakespeare and who coded under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.
I think you mixed up something. Shakespeare is no pseudonym. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Shakespeare

I found it in the german alt sub-section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=152.0.
And in generally and specially this payment gateway stuff looked good, so I checked the rating. I try to really read up on Magi now.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency - 0.8.8.6 on: March 07, 2015, 12:53:18 PM
Yeah, dEBRUYNE go. Maybe the project leadership can even name you as FB official or FB project manager, because the other guys you mentioned already have alot of things to do. And so you can could lead & develop this sub fraction of the XMR community.
(Obvious meaning leading in consultation with the core team, the general XMR community and XMRs FB community).

I generally think the core team (or the community as a whole) should name qualified non core team members as "person in charge"/manager/"person responsible" for (important) community related tasks/jobs/projects.
This helps alot in community development. Like sub-section only (non global) moderators, on BCT or other web boards.
Or global communities/organisations naming local contact persons for cities/countries or domestic ambassadors.

Naming offically named responsible people (that are non core members) keeps the community/project development process organised & structured and keeps the influence of core team.
(And avoid self proclaimed "(sub-)leaders", fakes & scammers get ahold in XMRs community.)

It's really a good, cost- & risk-free strategy. If some "official responsible person" - for whatever XMR job/task/subproject he was assigned to - turns out the be incompetent or inactive, he can just be changed/replaced by a better candidate.

Spexx: Coin gecko maybe not perfect, but it's still the best coin rating system we have today. I work a full time job, I dont have time to research 10 or more coins/projects a week. So I need indicators, of what coin is worth research/looking into. So I look into rankings.

111magic: Ok, I try to contribute. Thanks for info.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency - 0.8.8.6 on: March 07, 2015, 11:50:27 AM
People are going to use Monero because it allows them easy access to freedom (privacy is freedom).
No, this is to general and no automatism. People are not going to use Monero, because it allows them easy access to freedom & privacy.
We, as the community, have to work, work, research, work & improve (in all parts of the project) , do even more improvement cycles, get in touch and open communication with general people and only if this is done, in great quality. People may use XMR because it allows them easy access to freedom.
It won't just automatically happen because of CNs/XMRs superior design to other anon concepts/coins or other fundamental facts where Monero shines today.

From what I can tell, assuming automatically adoption (because of above average technology) over time was one of the greatest problems of failed projects (crypto currency or not), e.g. Litecoin.
Or just google: "superior failed technologies" and read some old new articles about failed very promising technolgies.

-> Don't proclaim automatically adoption, it makes the community lazy and arrogant.
(Historic proof: Litecoin)

Bytecoin at Facebook: two community pages now

Facebook recently changed their Pages Terms. That is the reason why nowadays there are two different pages about Bytecoin BCN there. But don't worry! New Bytecoin page is supported by BCN community as well as the oldest one. So we would post news, important information and funny pics on both pages.

You are welcomed to join, like and share at Bytecoin Community and Bytecoiner Community pages.
I just saw this in another thread. So, I asked myself, does Monero has an Facebook community?
Can't check myself, I don't own an FB account.
Obvious Monero would need and maybe benefit from an (good managed) FB community.

Sorry if Monero already has FB. I can't read and process all altcoin & XMR news and developments anymore. (Working an 10 hours non crypto office job, fuck my life.)
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Necronomicon thread: Altcoins which are dead. on: March 07, 2015, 10:45:14 AM
A coin that is only on one exchange and can't get on others is (very close to) dead anyway.

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/magi

The payment gateway above looks good. Place 134, is a bad score. Why is the project not more progressing (in general and the coin gecko rating)?
What are the problems of improvement & development needs?
