Dude, you gotta be kidding me.

Nope, not kidding you at all.

Sounds like Byteball is your first attempt at any crypto currency, and you have a lot to learn.

First, you can't go to the store, buy a Monopoly set and then expect the government to give you real money for your monopoly money.
You also can't expect to turn Bitcoin testnet coins into Bitcoin mainnet coins.
And, you also can't expect to turn Byteball test balls into Byteball real balls.

Maybe there is a language barrier here, and if so, then I can completely understand.

Basically, don't run developer code and then expect to get real bytes from fake ones.   Close and delete all that.

Now, install the real wallet and post your address.  It seems you have done this and you were given 50k and 10k bytes.   You can test all you want with that.

If you join the slack channel and simply ask, people will be willing to give you funds to play with.  (Me included - even still will).

1) You do have 60k in the address you posted.
- You say dev wallet, but it appears legit to me: NHH2G675VLQEPVEUK7S5KXSNTZ4HYWOX
https://explorer.byteball.org/#NHH2G675VLQEPVEUK7S5KXSNTZ4HYWOX
(Give me your seed and I will see about recovering those for you / moving them.)  If I can't I will easily double it.

2) I'm sorry.  Never too late to buy them.

3) Did you say you were not getting byteballs from the prior distribution implying you did know about them?

By the way that arise serious question for the developers. Is there another production address identical to this dev address and that somebody get this bytes. I don’t think that this is the case. More probably those two people lost their bytes and nobody get them. If this is the case developers should explain how it is possible that this transaction is verified even if there is no receiver. Who is the owner of this missing byteballs? At least let’s hope that developers can give back those real bytes to the people which sent it to me.

Very good question.   I will test this myself.

Reminder:   Join slack and say something.  People happily give bytes.  I'll give you some myself.

442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 20, 2017, 10:56:56 PM
Can somebody please explain how to get free test bytes to start playing around?

Post your address: I will send you some.

My address
NHH2G675VLQEPVEUK7S5KXSNTZ4HYWOX

I dont understand. My balance is still 0 test byteballs. Is something wrong with my wallet? Is there any third way to get some test byteballs? I added one more wallet so my the addresses is
NHH2G675VLQEPVEUK7S5KXSNTZ4HYWOX
TEEZS66RGFVTNAJCACQ23DEYCL3A6GJI

Can somebody provide clear explanation how to obtain test byteballs?

Hey you received real bytes on NHH2G675VLQEPVEUK7S5KXSNTZ4HYWOX : https://explorer.byteball.org/#NHH2G675VLQEPVEUK7S5KXSNTZ4HYWOX
Forget testnet, it's for dev.

I thought that testnet is for getting used to payment. This addresses which I already posted is made with test valet. Can you transfer those real bytes than to this address

ZW7NS5ZKBBDLLMQAIE6KAMCMN7XE3ZHT

which is made with production, not test wallet?

Hello, I still did not get any bytes. What is wrong? When can I aspect to get some?

Dude, you gotta be kidding me.

Simply coming to a forum and begging earns you nothing.
You were answered, but you simply ignored the response.

You posted an address.. NHH2G675VLQEPVEUK7S5KXSNTZ4HYWOX

That address is not only NOT linked, but also contained no byteball at the time of the distribution, so you got no Bonus.

Stop begging and read the first post to learn how to get byteballs.

Simply creating an address doesn't mean you get free money.  If that were the case, I would create billions of addresses.

agreed,
but otoh, I really can't complain, all my coins were free. (and I'm sure I'm not the only one who can say this)

Seems like something fishy is going on the the byteball slack channel. I don't like it.

This one came in via the slackbot in the byteball slack.

slackbot 12:45 PM, September 19th
https://www.ezphotoshare.com/image/slEWMU
This slack has been compromised. Unless 0.01 BTC is sent for each of the 5457 members of this slack to 12MSVXzsRJ2XxKMvGLJWwrv4MqugcpkoKp within 24 hours, the uncensored version of this photo will automatically be released. Fun fact: 82% of internet users have duplicate passwords.

That's gotta be the dumbest form of extortion I have ever seen.

To the scammer - Please release my password first.  I'm interested, because I lost mine and would like to get access to slack again.

You are wrong in everything sorry. The insane reduction in coins issued coupled with the increase of % current holders get is going to make things worse. You can't stop people from freely dumping their coins if they want. Im ok with early movers getting the best rewards but getting 50 bucks off 20 BTC linked doesn't add up, devs should re-adjust what they are doing and reconsider how they are dealing with the airdrop, but after so many changes in the airdrop it will become a joke.

This is why I like bitcoin over byteball when it comes to issuing the coins. Thanks to PoW the process is automated and decentralized and we don't need to trust some guy to properly issue the coins and (hopefully) not run away with them.

Wrong about everything?  I'll counter that.  Quite simply, he expressed exactly what I said.  So, you're already wrong.

If I told you that every $5 you give me, I will give you $1 and you give me $5, how on Earth could you expect more or less than $1.  I told you exactly what you would get.  Being mentally ill is an excuse; however, math is math.   You have $5 for me?

Also note that there was NOT an increase in % current holders get.   It was a decrease from 20% to 10%.

Instead of complaining that BTC holders get even less than they did in the past, why not simply buy Byteball and get the above mentioned 10% bonus?
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 17, 2017, 12:18:56 AM
Byteball has a great comunity of users, that's a fact.

For instance, one of this forum members, Michail1, help me recovering more than 77 GBB lost in my wallet. Thanks for this hard work you did and for the info you gave me.

It's a pleasure to meet people ready to help without asking for a reward.

Byteball is not only about technology (that is great), but also about human beens (that's even better).

 Grin

You're welcome.   Cool

Darn, I forgot to ask for a bag of money as payment.  Oh well, next time.   heh.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 17, 2017, 12:17:37 AM
Great news, I think price is at bottom    Cool

From few pages I don't see  Shocked any price related talks and people crying Cry about this drop.

So now is time to buy back our cheap train tickets to "tha moon".  Wink

 Cheesy Grin Tongue

The price drop is mainly about supposed IOTA bug, which happens to be similar to Byteball they said. So the big holders were spooked and sold to minimize risk to capital. The price will recover once this issue is laid to rest.
It doesn't affect Byteball. From what I heard, even the hashing function is different.

That's correct; however, the holders don't know the details.  They (not all) only know that IOTA and Byteball are both DAG.  So, understandably can assume both are affected the same way even though they are not.
That said, I don't believe the IOTA bug is the cause since ALL cryptos (yes, bitcoin too) have taken a very big hit over the last couple of weeks.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 16, 2017, 07:49:46 PM
So you are saying according to the below report...each MBB is equivalent to 0.0539 cent? Asking I meant and 0.0425 cents for each MMB (Mega BlackByte).
=========================================
Last 24h traded vol: 100,268 MBB      UTC time: 2017-09-16 18:51:28
Current Best Ask: 0.0539 MB/MBB      Last price: 0.0425 MB/MBB
Current Best Ask vol: 1,000 MBB      Last vol: 1,000 MBB

No, 'cents' has nothing to do with it.

The trading number is 0.0539 MB [per] MBB

So, for example, if you gave up 1 MBB (MegaBlackByte), you would get .0539 MB (MegaByte)
(Dollar/cent or bitcoin isn't part of that number)
450  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] My Casascius Collection on: September 16, 2017, 06:26:35 AM
Just noticed this thread switched to [WTS]... Got an asking price for all those pretties?  Shocked

Somewhere in the neighborhood of a quarter million dollars.

It comes loaded, right?    Grin

Will rewards get reduced as months passing for airdrop
also where can i sell my black byte?
If you are so brilliant and a rocket scientist to boot then surely you can back up a few pages and read the fricking thread.

BurtW..... You sound like me now.  I love it.

Added coinmarketcap.com data like JSON api upon last BlackBytes spot price on BEEB:

http://www.beeb-bot.com/API_request.php?f=last

[{"id":"BlackBytes","name":"Byteball BlackBytes","symbol":"GBBYTE","price_gbyte":0.0449,"price_usd":0.7870314187008,"price_btc":0.0030539184,"GBB_vol":0.425,"available_supply":1232662.8456,"total_supply":"2111100","market_cap_usd":970144,"last":"2017-09-14 01:01:41"}]

Why is price in usd so low? It should be around 8$.

You could ask the same about every other coin.
You do know that even bitcoin is dropping nearly 10% daily (worse today)?   You know, from $4985 to $3250 in only 14 days (well over 32%).    So, gotta wait out the storm.
BTFD.

Hi

I've been doing a lot of efforts in order to rearrange my blackbytes in the same address, but unfortunately I wasn't able to do so.

The error message shown when I try to move blackbytes from one of my wallets to another is the following:

precommit callback failed: XXXXXXXXXXX conflicting spend proof in inner unit YYYYYYYYYY

Please tell me whats the reason of this and the way to solve that issue.

Thanks in advance

 Roll Eyes

It's possible/likely that some of your inputs have already been spent.  You might recall a prior error you had when sending an amount beforehand.
Try sending smaller/different amounts to get out as much as you can.

Several other reasons this could have happened as well.  There isn't a simply 'press-button-fix' for the various reasons.

All that said, you can send me a backup of the wallet, and I can try to recover GBB for you.  I've done this for others already.
In worse case, you can't recover anymore, but I can assure you that you will not get everything the wallet shows, since it's a misrepresentation of what you actually have left.
Also, since you're already moving your funds to another wallet, there is no fear of giving me your wallet.
(Of course there has to be 'some' bytes to pay transfer fees of the blackbytes though.)

If you sent, but the other wallet didn't receive, you can re-send the private package as well (although this doesn't fix your wallet).

PM me if you want to try.

Can someone explain possibly why I didn't receive the amount I was quoted to receive on the last airdrop?  All the other drops I haven't had any issues.  I did link a new btc address this past drop but since being quoted by the chat bot I haven't moved any coins out of it.

I received half of the quoted amount in GB, but I did receive the full amount in blackbytes for the byteball I had in my byteball wallet.

Cause you move half of the bytes to a different address prior to the drop?

No way for someone to really know or guess since you provided no information.

Like....
What did the bot quote you and what address are you talking about?

is the airdrop method for Byteball is still same ?
before it was that we need to hold a bitcoin in a certain address

Still the same as what/when?
No, things changed.  You can see the changes in the Original Post or byteball.org or the wiki, etc.

As for bitcoin holding, you are talking about a link of your byteball address to a bitcoin address.  You got an amount of byteball based on your bitcoin holdings.  Also, you got a bonus on the byteball you already had.  This has not changed; however, the relative percentage has changed.

455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 12, 2017, 02:23:16 PM
A tool or option should be added/genreated on app which should allow users to get a back-up of the black bytes. Because current system is not preventing coins from disappearing. Saving all directory shouldn´t be the only way to get a back-up.

Ummm, there is.   Simply:
Hamburger (three horizontal lines on top left)
SETTINGS (global settings) - scroll to bottom
Full backup

That will allow you to make a full backup in a password protected file.

didn't receive Black Bytes for bitcoin (received usual bytes, so transition is ok)

Contact me via PM or join the slack channel and ask publicly.
There are many reasons for this and most are the users fault which can be quickly determined.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Byteball: Blackbytes FAQ on: September 12, 2017, 02:10:33 PM
Can anyone help me, Ive claimed my GByte & GBB, the bot stated this, You are expected to receive 0.082716421 GB and 0.174622636 giga-blackbytes (GBB), but I didnt get any blackbytes on the address Ive claimed it with... I did get the exact amount of GB. Am I missing something, can anyone explain?

Contact me directly and I will walk you through various reasons and a possible solution.

It's easier if you join the byteball slack channel so others could help you as well.

Moving the wallet to another system.
Which files and folders should I backup?
Running newest version.
Thanks.

If you're using windows operating system. Go to C: > Users > *Your Computer Name* > AppData > Local

Copy/backup the entire byteball directory and put it at the same location.

If you do this you will lose all  the blackbytes. The correct way is to  make multisig wallet (2-1) and move all bytes and blackbytes to new address of this wallet.

Actually, you will not lose the blackbytes.  They are stored in the sql file within that data directory.
That said, you do NOT want to run that wallet on two different devices at the same time.
- Setup a mutlisig wallet like xenon131 suggested.  Smiley

Make backups.  Lots of them.  Smiley

Why the price of GBYTE is dropping? Is this connected to IOTA's broken hash function mentioned in this article here?
 https://www.coindesk.com/broken-hash-function-iota-price-drops-on-tech-critique/

For the same reason that ALL coins are dropping.

(Nothing to do with IOTA's problem.)

Hello, friends. How to make a copy of a small wallet? Do I need to make a full backup? Or just download a csv file?
I do not want to lose my GBB))

Full backup.

Then on the other device, run a full restore.

Don't run the wallet on both devices.  That will cause problems.  There is another method for that.

Can I save the exported file on a USB flash drive?

Yes.
