Negotiation posted an image of this flipped jet last week and while I didn't understand what he said in his post, it gave me an idea and I've I finally had a chance to play with it.

Hahahahaha.. "Little weasel".. that is a good one for Homer.  I can imagine that Canada has a good number of weasels.  Can you imagine a weasel eating his daily McMuffin and trying to sip at the overly hot coffee... So cccccuuuuuttttttteee!!!!!  #nohomophobo

OMG!  That's literally what everyone, except Antisthenes' mom, calls me!

In other news, I'm having two per day at these prices but I give one of the coffees to a homeless guy who solicits alms every day at the traffic light standard near the entrance to McD's.  Actually, he isn't calling me "Little weasel" either but I imagine once the breakfast deal is over and I pass by without giving him a coffee, it wont take long for him to start.

What's the difference?  mid-December or so, prior to the Christmas Holidays or prior to January 10 and after New Year's..   There seems to be a bit of a crunch in time between new year's and January 10.. but getting it out of the way prior to various holidays might allow for some resolution of the matter.. ..

but then I suppose if they were to wait until after the holidays, then they don't have the holidays getting in the way... but I don't see much of any difference.. unless there is a bit of desire to continue to delay a wee bit.. to make sure that they are not missing anything and prepared once the ETFs go on line.. which could be a bit of a "nothing burger" even though I am anticipating that probably we would end up getting more pump rather than a dump, once they do actually go live.. a pump just seems more likely .. but who knows?

I don't know the US tax code (and from what I understand, nobody does) but up north, capital gains taxes are paid in the year they are realized.  There could be advantages to waiting until the new year.

The Bitcoin monthly and weekly charts are still looking incredibly bullish. I just see higher and higher lows. Someone is snatching up all the BTC… I think we gap back up to test $38K in the next couple of days. Must resist the urge to take profits…

Maybe I should cash it all and be done.

Emergency!  Emergency! Emergency!  Calling all diamond hands.  Report to Wall Observer thread immediately.

Here, Philip, read this while I go for help.  Take deep breaths and remain calm.

Yeah, I'm calling it...

Land ho!

What's it mean?

In layman's terms, rather than pictures?

Are you sure that you are not related to jojo, somehow?

Layman's terms?  We're talking about bitcoin!  *Layman's terms... sheesh

Okay, hypothetically speaking, let's just say that anyone who DCA'd into a BTC ETF within their TFSA since sometime around the last ATH, ran out of TFSA-eligible powder somewhere along the way and perhaps began to cannibalize their non-BTC, TFSA-eligible investments in order to continue DCAing into a BTC ETF would have understood.

It would be an honour to be related to jojo but since I'm not aware of any living family members interested in bitcoin,  I would have to guess I am not.

What is happening
Exactly what I don’t like
but what is needed.

I am not sure if such correction is needed, but it is hard to imagine that a 42% up from around $27k to $38k in around a month without any kind of correction is sustainable.. even though historically, we have seen that sometimes dee cornz will go UPpity without a correction for quite a bit of time.

I am agreeing with you in part of the sentiment in terms of my still mauling over what should be my new don't wake me up zone.. ..maybe $30k-ish on the lower end?..

I think you meant "mulling" but at the same time I think that if you meant "mauling", you're thinking too fiercely or maybe you meant "malling" because you wander the local mall while pondering?   Ouch!  Okay, I get it - "mauling" it is! ♥

474  Economy / Economics / Re: House to consider stopgap funding measure today to avert government shutdown on: November 15, 2023, 12:53:01 PM
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/government-shutdown-2023-mike-johnson-stopgap-funding-bill/

House Speaker Mike Johnson's plan to prevent a government shutdown will be considered by the House on Tuesday, according to a notice sent to lawmakers late Monday night.

The stopgap measure to temporarily fund the government, known as a continuing resolution, will be put on the House floor under a procedure known as suspension of the rules. This enables it to bypass the House Rules Committee, where Republicans had signaled they would not advance the bill. Considering the measure under suspension comes with some caveats: it cannot be amended, and it requires a two-thirds majority to pass the House.

This type of situation seems like it is happening every few months now in the USA. Ridiculous. Shut down the government and lets start saving some money! I think by now we can all see that it's just smoke and mirrors and most government jobs are really not essential we could do without them. eventually we'll have to. because they can't keep approving bills like this forever...

what do YOU guys think?  Shocked

I need to hit lottery and leave to USA 🇺🇸 it has become a mad house. Nuts to the left and right of me.

There are nuts everywhere; imo, it's better to stay in the land of plenty.  Maybe just don't venture too close to the city Smiley

Looks like the paranoid, manic attention seeking whore ran out of meds again.

Oops. My bad.

Mutters to oneself, "must not feed trolls, must not feed trolls, must not..."

For a second there, I thought we were talking about Bitcoin.  Wink

A nice Winter Weekend while Bitcoin is up.

Holy smokes!  Are you cooking for the whole village?  Is this for a wedding?  That's a lot of chicken Smiley

No, it was at a local festival here in my city (Islamabad, Pakistan). The chicken is called "Sajji" cooked entirely on red coals. Cost is 4.20$ per chicken. I wanna get one but the person selling said waiting time is 90 minutes as there are lots of order in queue. So, I have to return back with only this image.

side note: You don't have to specify both the width and height parameters in the IMG tag one is sufficient and the other will scale proportionally.  Then again, what you did there made the chickens look much more plump and juicy.

I tried posting by altering width only, but image height was large. I altered height so anyone viewing won't get annoyed because of large image.

Trust me it's really very tasty. Come visit my country and be my guest, you will defiantly like it.

Interesting.  Thanks for the information and the invitation.  There are many places I should go but I'm not very adventurous; I didn't even make it out of North America until my 40's.

Also, thanks for the morning chuckle.  I don't think you intentionally used the word "defiantly" but when I read it, my mind said, "This chicken is cold and raw on the inside while the skin is burnt to a crisp and tastes like charcoal but DAMMIT, I LIKE IT!  Give me another one!"  Seriously though, I don't think there are many foods that can rival a chicken roasted over hot coals and if someone else wants to do all the work... even better Smiley

I know you wanted to use the word "definitely" and my intention was not to make fun of you; just to share the humour.

Oh fuck.  I hate when I do that.  I wrote a whole post, and then I accidentally hit refresh, and that does not work out so well.

We all hate that. You got my sympathy.

Then we should all love this:

All you have to do is use the preview once in a while during the composition phase and then you wont have to start from scratch.

Come on bitcoin, you can do it!  Here are 21 green dildos to motivate you.

edit: flipped it around the vertical plane so it actually looks to be increasing (and realized there is far too much low frequency in my preferred music).

edit2: FYI
I created the green bars using the first few seconds of this song:

Alive and Kicking (Symphonic Version) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10PdBaHGJBE

Which was one of my first thoughts when bitcoin confidently broke through 30k in late October.
