But because your cards are 4 gigabytes, you can cut the fishhash if I'm wrong. In Multialgo it wants cards 8GB and above because it changes currencies and some have big DAG file. I have a way to drop consumption on polaris cards but you need to know from bios editor.and I don't mean to just press the(one click)!! You will have to change the dynamic voltages that are next to the clocks!! if you are interested some, i can make a txt for what numbers to put... It's very good that you are mining, but I haven't seen any point in mining on such video cards for a long time. You can buy this video card for 25-30 dollars, but the profit is 3-5 cents per day and the video card can break, because they have been mining since 2016. This card is used to make changes and tweaks to the operating system, as well as to optimize code. Generally now no currency is profitable, electricity is more expensive than profits. If profitability changes I will buy new cards, so I have no problem owning bitcoins since 2013 when I bought them very cheaply..... he has free power thus they make a small amount of money. but they will profit for him. |

The total hashrate for Fractal as of right now is about 220EH, that's like 30% of the entire SHA256 hash power that we know exists, that much can't be coming from home miners, and quite honestly anyone who mines Fractal Bitcoin on permissionless mode is just a gambler, they are hopping for the price to spike, otherwise, just Megrge mine it and still make the same BTC + whatever you get from Fractal, it's 2:1 ratio so it isn't all that bad.
As for home miners, they are done for the most part regardless of which coin they mine, the game has changed, and the ship has sailed but some people don't want to see the truth.
Merged mining doesn't do that good I'm afraid. I wasnt seeing a good ratio on F2pool, I dont recall the exact value but it was nothing like 2:1 it was a busted flush to be honest. I think you're probably correct the home mining ship has sailed, the only chance home miners have now is solo/lottery mining. Even with 100's TH/s available to home mining, you would only benefit if you had completely free electricty. solo mining is meh. and large home mining is done. but there are spots for a guy with a decent unit or 2 that needs winter heat. also a few people have very limited cheap power. say 3 -7kwatts but yeah mining is now industrial level |

Hi.
Have a s19k pro which is having a board be faulty, ive i put it on stock firmware the board shows fine and all chips, but doesent mine as "fan issue" im using a cloudline fan. (with njord and braiins)
Swapped connectors, physically inspected the board, nothing that i can see is an issue. If i disable that board it mines fine on the other 2.
Anyone got any ideas of what to look at next?
Not sure how i can add the log for people to see?

yeah this could have been good gear. It likely won't last 2 years for anyone. the usb connection gets hot on medium. and wifi drops out. If they made a 2x size unit it would have been able to be out of the usb-c power cord. it would have been a pcie 8 pin any atx psu could have run it. shame as it had a good price point. see the gear below yeah it is doge but if you did it with btc it would be better than any small miner on the market.  |

Do the miners usually HODL their coins and wait for it to appreciate or do they sell every day ? Because if it's the first option, HODLing the coin directly would yield more benefice and if they sell everyday then that would mean that the Asic would never pay for itself before becoming obsolete, especially if bought in it's first months when the price is at it highest. Some miners HODL their coins and I find it very boring. If I mine, I mine because I expect to make a good ROI by mining itself but if I have to mine at a loss to HODL coins with the hope of price increment in the next months or years, then isn't it better to invest in coins instead of buying miners and doing all the headaches that are associated with building a mining rig? I was mining with some GPUs in 2017, mining was very profitable during the early times. Now it has become a commercial business where only gigant companies like BetFury and The Foundry can mine with profit. I don't risk buying ASICs because they are shipped from China and I'm afraid I will be at a huge loss if I receive a damaged miner because then I'll have to send it back, which is very expensive in my country. this is pretty much the case. If you are not really big with really good power costs it is hard to turn a profit. As for space heater use in the winter and to a virgin address it mostly works. My summer power = 21 cents My winter power = 15 cents So Oct 1 to May 1 7 months I can get heat so the 15 cents is closer to 12 cents. Mine to nicehash with a virgin address and hodl. It arguably works with a t21 cost of 3k set to 160th burning 2.5 kwatts an hour. for 7 months where I live. 210 x 24 x 2.5 = 12600 kwatts at 12 cents or 1512 usd 160 x 0.044 x 210 = 1478 a tiny loss now my big mine closed and I had the gear on hand so running 1 for 7 months makes sense as I am not buying the t21 if you want to lay out 3k for the gear and not buy coins I would argue it is foolish. but if coins go up a win plus the address is unknown till you cash it out. |

I have but I run my miners in environments that have cheap power only.
And, at times I also look at it differently due to my situation.
As in during the winter at home I can run a L3+ or a 1 board S9 as a space heater.
I loose a little bit $ of only get even for the cost of the electricity I am using.
BUT, I would be paying for heat otherwise. So, looking at it that way am I making money getting heat for free?

I am planning out a mining setup that has power coming in at 415Y/240V . This is located in Missouri USA.
I was looking for breaker panels for this setup, but I only see 480Y/277V three phase panels being sold around here an online.
The breaker panel will connect to 4x 100 Amp PDUs that will run 24x S19 each.
Anyone know where to find the right breaker panel for this setup?

You can not run 96 s19s. 3000 x 96 = 288,000 watts Or 288 kwatts. 288/300 is greater than 80% 240/300 is 80% 240/3= 80 units tops not 96. In fact maybe 70 on a hot summer day. Nor do we need to be friendly all the time. I love it that you understand my sense of humor. I'm well aware that it gets lost on many. The post getting deleted surprised me too, but I wasn't going to bring it up. That would seem like complaining and being petty. The fact that it got reported to the mods in the first place demonstrates that one of two things happened: - Someone knew it was a joke but can't take a joke, which is, in itself unfriendly behavior.
