461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: November 03, 2023, 02:00:14 PM
If they continue to argue over even minor matters like this, it would become clear that they're just complicating things to make excuses, much like Inoue's previous opponent, Fulton.

I recall this situation. Fulton's camp had many requests before the fight, and Inoue's team managed to fulfill them. However, the result was as expected. Fulton didn't come to fight; he came to survive and attempt to earn points, thinking the judges would favor him since he was the defending champion. But Inoue's relentless attacks finally caught up with Fulton, leading to a knockout and the end of his undefeated record.
Yes, definitely Fulton camp is very confident coming in the fight, but for added insurance, they have to request a lot of things in their favor against Inoue and they all have been honored by the Japanese. However, it doesn't matter to Inoue as he believed more on his talent that have this kind of advantage. And from round 1, we have seen the Fulton  when he felt the power of Inoue was very different.

He doesn't want to fight but just to survived in every round and thinks that he can score in the judges scorecard. But as you have said, he didn't even put a dent on Inoue, maybe he had 1 or 2 good rounds and hit Inoue flush, but Inoue was too good as he has a good chin as well.
He was the defending champion, and the fact that he traveled to Japan to fight the challenger showed his confidence. However, that confidence didn't translate to the actual fight. Inoue kept pressuring the champion, and Fulton probably felt Inoue's power, which disrupted his game plan. If Tapales ends up in a similar situation, we can predict the likely outcome of the fight, and it might be very one-sided.

Hopefully, Tapales is going to be different and he will fight to try and win.

Yes, we hope for that, but the chances are probably very low. I'm just trying to be realistic here. Inoue hasn't faced a fighter where he almost  loses to. Even in his toughest fight against Donaire, he still won by unanimous decision.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 03, 2023, 01:32:59 PM
The Suns losing 2 straight to the Spurs is a pretty bad look. Sure, they were down a couple players but that shouldn’t have mattered. Wemby looking much better than I expected this early in the season. He was really exposing the weakness of the Suns, who seem more built to compete with the Warriors than a team with length like the Spurs.

Agreed. A team with that much firepower losing against such a young team back to back at home sure is not the best look for them.
But it shows what many people feared about that team, the lack of defense.
Maybe SA was also just a bad fit for them them but seeing how easy the Spurs scored inside the paint ( not only Wemby ) was scary. They didn't have any answer to that.

Wemby is also a nightmare for any defense already. You give him space, he shoots from outside, you close out and he just moves to the basket and dunks over you.  Grin

Wemby regained his confidence by beating two superstars, Durant and Booker. So, I think he'll be more consistent in the upcoming games. It's impressive that he's up for a tough competition, as the Suns are a very though team to beat, especially on their home court. They are even among the top favorites to win a championship this season. So, the Spurs winning back-to-back games on the road is a huge achievement that would bring much confidence to the team.

Now everyone will be watching the Spurs, their next game is against the Raptors at home, they should win this game.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not share your bitcoin holdings with everyone on: November 03, 2023, 12:08:32 PM
I feel bad about him. It’s not his fault that he shared his investment to a relative. Why do those people who take advantage of the fortunate ones exists. He worked hard for it. Being a bit low-key about your crypto is like keeping your cool in a game. It's not their fault the situation happened, but being careful with what you share can definitely keep things safer and more chill. Sad
Well, we never know exactly the whole story of the said incident and it was uncertain if that is because of Bitcoin (stealing) or something like a sort of misunderstanding.

But yes, in regards to investing, it is very important to limit the person who knows our investment as it was not necessary to inform everyone that we have this xxx and this...Perhaps, it should be kept secret if possible granting that we never know the minds of the people around us. We must remember that it is money and can possibly create temptation.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think a new memecoin $MEMEFARMS will skyrocket in 2023? on: November 02, 2023, 01:36:38 PM
Well, just to note OP that not all memecoin become famous and gain popularity and hype, most of them face ignored and unknown.
Therefore, it was difficult to think that this $memefarms would do the same as Pepe, Shiba Inu, and the known Dogecoin - I'd smell different from them. I was not sure but for me, I don't see how valuable is this project and like other meme coins on the market already, they are not worth investing in, especially if our goal is to keep them long.

Another meme coin = another sacrifice and losses

It was a great ending to that battle of Los Angeles game between the Clippers and Lakers. I thought the Lakers were going to let it slip away but then Paul George fouled out. The stars showed up though. LeBron was on fire all game as was Paul George. Kawhi Leonard wasn’t bad either. Exactly what everyone expected to see. Lakers held out for the win though.
What a game.

Kawhi did the intro on the early quarters and those outside shots were blast. Paul George also was on fire. But that was so bad that they were on the lead and Lakers managed to get back with those leads.

Whilst for the Lakers, everyone also contributed. Although the early for Reaves wasn't so great though but during the OT, he did great.

This is the second time that the Clippers had a game they could have won, but they ended up losing. I think they need to get better at finishing games because they tend to struggle in the second half and lose their confidence, especially when it goes into overtime. I don't mean to disrespect the LA Lakers; they're a good team. However, the Clippers could have won that game if they didn't let the Lakers take a big lead in the third quarter. What I'm saying is they need to play consistently well.
467  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull season started? on: November 02, 2023, 11:27:52 AM
If this is the start of the bull season then it will be one of the unique ones because we haven't seen any bull rally start in the previous year of halving. Even if it isn't the start of a bull run it surely indicates one. Retail investors are accumulating and that is why even a small dip became the accumulation zone. The market sentiment shows everyone knows we don't have much time before the next rally.

bullish run in crypto has no season, it depends on the surrounding factors that affect its market. this is why we can't have defined time frame when it comes to bullish or bearish season because it relies on so many factors.
and such season also depends on when you are referring this price level. but of course, going up beyond 30k level has long been aimed at as we haven't seen this price level for more than a year already. so i can understand the positivity surrounding this market these days.
Indeed, a lot of factors that will affect the market trend whether it is positive or negative. The current surge of Bitcoin prices seems to be not enough to consider that we are bullish already but of course, it will be an indication that more people have an interest in buying Bitcoin these days. If the momentum will continue and never just see that only Bitcoin rises but also includes old coins, that is probably enough to say that we are finally in the bullsih state. But for now, that rise seems usual and we can't assume that no more drops comes after this.
468  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First bull run - how to not sell too early? on: November 01, 2023, 09:04:14 PM
This is the market, no matter how much we plan, the market won't give us the stars easily. Just because a bull run has started doesn't mean it can take a correction from here. Since $8k has been pumped into Bitcoin. As a result of the pump, new funds have started coming in.
The plan is useless if we don't follow it. Like if you plan to sell your Bitcoin at the price of $60k, you probably be waiting for it to come. But why some can't do it because they are impatient and their mind is full of uncertainties?
In order not to sell too early, then must have to do this;
 - be patient
 - stick to our plan
 - trust

The market is full of traps which is why we should have control our emotions, otherwise.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 01, 2023, 08:39:42 PM
The battle of Los Angeles between the Clippers and Lakers should be a good one to watch tonight. It’s airing on ESPN and I think I like the Lakers to win this one. With the Clippers gutting their team to get James Harden and not having enough time to work him into the team yet, I think we may see them struggle a bit tonight.

No doubt, everyone's tuning in for this game. The Leonard vs. LeBron showdown is a real eye-catcher. With a plenty of stars in the LA teams, the atmosphere is bound to be electric. I'm also itching to find out if James Harden will make his debut in this matchup.

On the flip side, the Lakers are now just -3, down from the initial line of -5.5. This is a significant line movement, and it makes you wonder what's behind it.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 01, 2023, 08:20:27 PM
I enjoyed seeing all the players dressing up for Halloween. Steph Curry had maybe the most entertaining costume. Unfortunately for my home team Suns it was not a great holiday. Not taking a timeout at the end and losing the game while leading all but the last 2.2 seconds is a wild turn of events. The coach should take responsibility for that L.
It was a dissapointing loss, and it wasn't supposed to end that way. There were quite a few mistakes in the final seconds of the game. I'm certain they won't easily forget losing by just one point, especially after Wemby's crucial offensive rebound. Durant had the ball snatched from him, and his final shot was well-contested. It was, in fact, a great game, but for Suns fans, the outcome was likely disappointing.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 31, 2023, 01:09:31 PM
And, that's why Morris wasn't with the team during the last game, the report that he wasn't on the team maybe he was upset he got the news. Well, I'm a Clippers fan but I don't know how they would make this thing work out, their depth is good at least if they have all the healthy players though. I hope Harden just play better now that his wish was fulfilled and he should be or he would just to leave with another team again.

A team with four star players is quite uncommon, and it will be interesting to see how they perform together, especially since all four of them have been the main leaders in their previous teams. Westbrook and Harden have a history of playing together and achieving success. Perhaps this dynamic will work well for the Miami Heat now. However, in my opinion, it would be wise for them to continue considering Kawhi Leonard as their leader, given his consistency and performance within the team.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that are good for long hodling in this season. on: October 31, 2023, 12:13:56 PM
There are many alts present in the market. But it really becomes difficult to choose one for long term investment. So yes we need to narrow down some factors to find the ideal coin for ourselves. We have to choose the coin with large marketcaps and trading volume, this will ensure the popularity of the coin. Now we have to also choose a coin which has some value and not considered as memecoin. Hence If I had to invest, I will go for ETH, BNB and LTC. These coins are already popular and will surely give me some good profits in the long run.
If we talk about future prospects, it is better not to invest in altcoins at all. Only bitcoin has shown growth throughout history. There are probably no other coins besides eth that are constantly growing. You need to be able to guess the market cycle, where is the bottom and where is the top, at least not accurately. Then it will be enough to have a profit on altcoins.
Well, investing seems to be different when we just talk about holding. Because Altcoins are still investing in short-term deals but if we talk about holding for many years, I could agree that Bitcoin seems to be a fit for that particular goal. I couldn't say that choosing altcoins is a bad idea but what went wrong is buying useless coins like meme coins and hyped projects. Profit really matters in choosing the right coins but of course, we have to stop assuming that we can earn 1000x from them.
473  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Giveaway Scam On the Rise on: October 31, 2023, 11:31:06 AM
Scams are a big problem now in the community, they'll take advantage of the new technology and use social media as a tool to scam innocent people. Until we all can't determine if it was a scam offer and still greedy, we can't stop scamming as well but instead, it will even grow and spread more. Even though we give awareness to the public but what we have seen, a growing number of people have fallen into scams we're growing as well. Meaning that people only just listen but have never put into their mind about scams.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 31, 2023, 04:15:11 AM
Warriors vs Pelicans.

The matchup between the Warriors and the Pelicans is quite interesting. The Pelicans have maintained a perfect record this season, while the Warriors are facing a back-to-back road game. On paper, the Pelicans appear to be an attractive choice here. However, I can't resist betting on the Warriors, given their impressive performance in their last two games. With Draymond Green back, even if he's on a minute restriction, it instills confidence that the Warriors can go on a big run to secure a victory. Therefore, I'm leaning towards the Warriors with the +2.5 spread. As for a side pick, I'm considering the Miami Heat at +7.5, particularly because I believe Lillard's struggles may persist, especially against a strong defensive team.

Congratulations! Betting on the Warriors turned out to be quite easy, with Curry leading the charge once again. He showcased his incredible scoring ability, delivering an impressive 42-point performance. With such consistency, there's no doubt he's on track for an MVP title. Even in the absence of Klay Thompson, the Warriors managed to secure a victory on the road.

As for your Heat bet, it was a close one, with just a 0.5-point difference, resulting in an 8-point win by the Bucks. Lillard made his return with a solid 25-point performance.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I should have taken this risk earlier. on: October 30, 2023, 02:29:45 PM
OP since you are a student, and you plan to invest in Bitcoin I think it is good. But you had a chance a long time ago when the price of bitcoin was low, if you had bought bitcoins with the money kept in the bank by your father, then today you could have made a good profit. Also, I think if you had invested at that time you would have got a good profit after four or five months, and later you could have attended university with that money. Since you did not do this, such a plan did not occur in your mind, so it may have been a mistake. But I think if you are currently investing in bitcoins, you may be in a lot of danger because bitcoins are worth so much right now. Also, you may need money to get into the university, so you can't invest now, you have to use your money for your studies. However, if you try, you can definitely buy and hold some bitcoins that you can save for the future and get a good amount of money out of it.
That is something he should think about and know what he prioritizes first because if I'm in his position, I'd rather focus more on studying and only invest my extra money if there is. I know OP wants to be in self-support but he must know that there is perfect timing for investing. It was not regrettable not to invest today nor we can say that we missed the opportunity because there is much better fortune awaits him if he finishes his studies. It was only regrettable if we did nothing and spent our money on stuff that never gives us returns but it was for studies which is very important for us.
476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Importance of emotion while trading on: October 30, 2023, 07:45:34 AM
It was always in my memory when I first tried trading and it was really disappointing and I couldn't imagine losing $100 in just a few minutes. And this is because I was too emotional at that time and confused about what I will do next. But that experience tells me how important to deal with our emotions to a level that won't affect us in making our decisions. That is why I encourage people that we don't just focus on learning trading strategies but also, we MUST learn how to control their emotions because this is the common reason for unsuccessful trades and losses.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Live Sports Betting vs virtual Games Betting on: October 27, 2023, 01:28:56 PM

Also in a live game, you will feel the thrill and actually enjoy the games. You have someone to root for, and know that everything that's happening in front of you is true and not just some simulations on a screen governed by calculations and algorithms that you probably know nothing about.

The significant difference between sports betting live games and virtual games is striking. It seems like sports betting live games cater to a more mature audience, those who are truly passionate about gambling significant amounts. They appreciate the transparency of the game and can analyze it based on statistics.

On the other hand, it's undeniable that virtual game betting also has a substantial market and is already a billion-dollar industry.

478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 27, 2023, 06:51:30 AM
What a debut game by Dame Lillard, and if I'm not mistaken, he has now own the record in Bucks history for most points in a debut game. He puts in a show with 39 big points, And Giannis with 23 points.

But you have to give up to the 76ers as well, without Harden they almost steal this one for the home court of the Bucks. But in the last 4 minutes Dame took over the game, perfect in free throws and then his beyond the arc attempts. Not sure what they stick with Oubre guarding him though, I mean Lillard is just going around circles with Kelly and then made those 3's.

Lillard certainly knows how to close out a game. He essentially saved the Bucks in that match, and without him, Giannis might have struggled to secure the win.

However, when you examine the distribution of points, it's not all that surprising. Players who don't have as many touches might struggle to find their rhythm, especially Middleton, who has a significant contract with the team. In the game, he only attempted 5 shots, in contrast to Giannis and Lillard, who had at least 20 attempts each.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on growth on: October 27, 2023, 05:59:35 AM
Hi all. How to buy more when growing? Today we are growing, but I don’t want to buy. Share your experience in this matter.
The question is when do you buy it? Well, you can wait for another market correction but what if we are going to bullish again? I couldn't think you just buy because the price of Bitcoin skyrockets already but for sure no, therefore, you miss a chance.

I would tell you that some people prefer to buy Bitcoin when the price is rising and their reason is that they won't wait so long to make a profit.
If you don't buy today, then I would assume that you don't also have an interest in buying Bitcoin.
480  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much money can you make by investing in Bitcoin? on: October 26, 2023, 12:59:22 PM
I bought a Bitcoin many years ago, I'd never thought that I could earn a lot for this, and gave me a big surprise. But now, the people around have changed and become speculators and even calculate their earnings, and it was wrong. I say it was wrong because the more we think about earning xxx, the more we lose our emotions when corrections come. If we are investing and holding Bitcoin, just think that we can earn some at least we don't complain of whatever happens.
