That is the only reason Perez is still there is exactly this,he is a mediocre driver that is for sure but sometimes in some specific races he become a beast by winning those couple of races giving the much needed points to earn the constructors Championship and he still ends up as the second driver in the drivers Championship.This is enough reason for Redbull to keep him until the end of 2024 when his contract expires.In this year Perez needs to do more or it is a sure thing that he is going to be replaced otherwise. I think the writing is on the wall. Perez will be replaced by somebody else who could bring in the points and make it a dominant showing in the constructor's championship. That's why keep a close eye on Ricciardo this coming season. If he makes a decent season for himself I'm pretty sure he'll be in Red Bull Racing next year. Anyway, reposting this. Yeah considering that it's '300', sure I would have to agree. For that number, it should be a match up between the guys who are around the top of the pound for pound. So many rumors going around about the main event in UFC 300. Ronda Rousey was said to have been offered $15M by Dana and so is Brock Lesnar. The super fight that Dana has been announcing yet no names have been said yet. All been rumors.
This is UFC 300 that they are planning, it should be the most awaited fight. If Dana scheduled someone who isn't someone fans expect, even if the whole APEX is on the red carpet, it will be a flop.

Light Heavyweight Division - Alex Pereira is the Champion, for sure he will need a title defense, and if he said that he will have a back-to-back title defense this year that will be Jamahal Jill and Magomed Ankalaev I don't know how the UFC can do it but for me, I think that Magomed Ankalaev could win this year and be champion in my opinion,
Btw, Alex Pereira is a double champ, he was middleweight and now is a light heavyweight champion. He is one out of eight fighters who got 2 belts. McGregor, JSP, Bones, Cormier, Cejudo, Penn, Couture. However, for me he is an artificial champ. He did not have any good wrestler in his entire MMA career. Starting from middleweight, matchmakers made his path avoiding all bjj and wrestler till Adesanya. Now in LH, injured Jiri gave him good fight. Old and beaten Blachowicz. Now who, Hill gonna test him? If he will face Hill, he will win, if it is Ankalaev, then we will get a new champ. Pereira wont last long in UFC. 36 already, lots of injuries from kickboxing. I dont believe he will dominate for long.  Imagine if the card really would be like that I really laughed when I saw Belal Muhammad. I just wish he would never become a champion. Even though he is ranked 2 welterweight, he is one of the most boring fighters. 17/23 wins are decisions. Even in small and local promotions he managed to UD fights, when fights there usually over either in fighter round KO, or by submission. The rumored main event is Leon Edwards vs Belal Muhammad and just as a fan, I don't really mind it actually... Barring that it's UFC 300 aside. Muhammad deserves his shot after beating Luque, Brady and Burns. All solid fighters. I think he might even win vs Edwards. Dunno... But he's an underrated fighter for sure. I hope he's the underdog. City were champions 2 times between 2008 and 2016 (without Guardiola) and 5 (potentially 6) times with him. Even if he inherited the best team in the world (which he did not, far from it), it would still be an incredible success to achieve such results.

I think the most fair assessment of who overachieved the most would be the net amount spent per points won. In the same period they are in the PL, Guardiola won 716 points with a net spend of 700 mil and Klopp won 671 points with a net spend of 250 mil.
That would say that Klopp is the league's lone overachiever, but then again - most of the trophies went Guardiola's way. The same thing happened in Germany.
But here's the thing. If the same amount of money was spent to build a team but the manager isn't as good as Guardiola or Klopp, let's say this manager is just 'decent'... Would he achieve as much as Guardiola has acheived in his life time? Some guys could say yes, some guys could say no and I would get it. But then again that manager could also be given the sack before he's able to achieve what he was set to achieve. There's so much pressure brought on the manager behind the huge sums spent in the transfer market. And only a handful of managers in the world have the skill and the wits to handle it... Even Zidane's exit showed it could take too much toll. |

Madrid isn't going be additional GP. They're going to replace Barcelona track. Personally for me, Barcelona is one of the most boring old school tracks, but I don't want to see it replaced by another soulless street circuit. It looks that one day we're going to reach point when in F1 calendar there will be more street circuits than old-school tracks. From business perspective it's logical, rich cities have more to offer for F1 than these tracks. But as old F1 fan, it makes me sad that such great tracks like Istanbul, Sepang, Mugello or Portimao don't get spot in calendar and getting replaced by city circuits or boring tracks in Middle East
I didn't know that Catalunya track was going to be replaced by this new track in Madrid. But truthfully it wouldn't be bad to take this action. Because I mean the Catalunya GP is mostly boring so I think the same as you. Because there aren't many areas for the drivers to overtake themselves. The biggest opportunity is on the start straight. Other than that it is much harder. For us the spectators it is really important to watch as many overtakes as possible to be more excited about a race. This is why Monaco track isn't one of my favourites either. And the thing is it's gonna be a street circuit in Madrid, so that at least would make it somewhat interesting since it's something new. But we'll see, I hope it isn't somewhat of a disaster like how the Las Vegas GP was. The fans that went weren't as many as expected. But then it's not in Europe where F1 is really popular... And Spain has a couple of their guys on the grid, Sainz and the legendary Alonso.  Pretty sure the fan turn put over there will be huge. |

Aesthetically I think RB19 is considered to be one of the best looking cars in the history of Formula 1. But mostly throughout the years Ferrari and McLaren cars have had the best looking ones.
Was Binotto really the most likely person to replace Newey at one point? I think they're just rumors at best. Red Bull could already have one earmarked among their ranks as a replacement... What I could tell you tho is Ferrari wanted Horner as Binotto's replacement as team principal at Ferrari. Horner turned them down.
I'm not surprised with Ferrari's wanting Horner in Binotto's place in the past. Because Horner has really been one of the best team principals in Formula 1 lately. But why would Horner just leave Red Bull for Ferrari, right? It wouldn't have made sense if he did so. Because he has had really successful years with Red Bull. They have been very dominant over the last a few years. Horner is going to earn $12m a year until 2026. I don't expect Horner to leave the team until that date. But as of 2026 season we never know what can happen in F1.  Because there are many changes to come which could upset the balances quite much. Well it would def make sense if Horner could bring Adrian Newey, Newey's top engineers, Red Bull's race strategist and Red Bull's top driver Max Verstappen with him to build Ferrari back up and win championships again. I think McLaren as the second best team of all time in F1 is at the bigger level although they have been struggling to win a Championship since the distant time of Lewis Hamilton in 2008 and that is why maybe now is perceived as a mid team but their budget surely fits the bigger ones.They were also the team which had the best performance in the closing stages of last season so they may be are the only chance we have to see a fight against Redbull this season that is approaching fast enough,just 2 months before the first race here. Liverpool won't be the same without Klopp, sad to hear the news today.
Damn... He will be missed. I hope Liverpool finds a decent manager that would bring stability within the club and on the pitch. But it will be hard for the manager who came to replace the great Jurgen Klopp, the trendsetter of the modern gegenpress. Even Guardiola had to incorporate those ideas in his philosophy... That's why he acquired players who are good ball handlers who would also try to win the ball back asap the second they lose possesion.
