Looks like you have a bit of a dislike for chimk for calling you out for your Craig Wright support.
I call Craig a scamer   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5148832.msg51280182#msg51280182

And i see you want to talk about me but not about scamers that i showed? Nice  Cheesy

When someone posts serious allegations in Meta against people who have proven their trust in the past then their character and history becomes relevant when viewing the allegations.

In your accusation you claim that the DTs and merit source are corrupt.
Quote
Total corruption in Russian local [DT involved!]
So your historical interaction with those people is of interest.

I find it quite amusing seeing accounts that later get perma-banned getting merit.  All that effort to entice merits by those merit farmers foiled by the system that catches them and locks the account permanently. It shows that some systems are working well.

I also commend merit sources that give merit to new accounts (which are more likely to be farmed accounts) because it can be very hard for genuine newbies to get their first merit and get posting privileges.

The job of a merit source is to give merit to good quality posts. Not to detect them for plagiarism or make political judgments.

The job of the moderators and those reporting posts is to detect plagiarism and detect account farmers.

The job of DTs is to make judgements on the trustworthiness of users. This is subjective and different DTs have different criteria. People don't choose to be a DT. It is other users that select them. It is more of a curse with responsibility.
484  Other / Meta / Re: Total corruption in Russian local on: June 21, 2019, 06:35:13 AM
If you read my post completely then you must understand the scale of the problem.
I do not want to play with cancer in the game and I see no reason to put tags that no one will even see.

Trust is now much more decentralized. People will never see tags if they are not placed. You will never be in a position where your tags will be seen if you do not place them.

In your "analysis" you try to sully the names of those in a position to provide some assistance. It appears that when someone disagrees with your opinion you consider them "corrupt" or "blind".

485  Other / Meta / Re: Total corruption in Russian local on: June 21, 2019, 04:56:49 AM
Please read the thread completely before commenting.

I did and it was a waste of time. You haven't even red-trusted the alleged perp yourself and you built a massive conspiracy theory on a lot of assumptions.

Please check facts, it is not a theory.

No-one is disputing the facts. The issue is with the assumptions. Issues with the Russian local boards is best dealt with by Russian DTs on that board. There are numerous Russian DTs that I trust that are in a much better position to judge it than non native speakers.

Individual assessments are made. Not every slight or breaking of the rules will be punished.

It is clear that Theymos wants to reserve flag judgement to only the most prolific scammers. How trust is allocated is up to individual DT members.

Like Suchmoon said - you have made all these accusations but you haven't placed any trust yourself.  Why are you expecting others to do something you won't even do yourself ?

chimk is a merit source with a huge monthly allocation of sMerits. He's likely to be the biggest "fan" of any decent poster on the Russian boards. That doesn't mean there's "corruption".

There is definitely an issue of many permabanned users getting merit.  I think the main issue is that plagiarism is hard to detect and often fools the reader into believing that it is a good quality post.

However there is no proof that it is part of a conspiracy or corruption. It could also mean that the moderators on the Russian board are doing a great job catching and banning plagiarists.

487  Other / Meta / Re: PM from admin demanding to exclude a certain user on: June 20, 2019, 03:31:09 AM
How would you know the IP addresses of those who log in? Unless you are an alt of admin/mod. (That would be fucking nuts if quickseller was an alt of theymos)

There's an admin who in a PM to me claimed he is an alt of quickseller... after my posts started getting deleted... (which is still going on) ... then a couple of days ago quickseller in an open post made reference to my posts being deleted.  So, yeh, I can accept one of quicksellers' alts is an admin.

I'd put a wager on it that Quickseller doesn't have an admin alt.

Your posts get deleted because you have a habit of multi-posting and duplicate posting which is against the rules.

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

I think I know who the admin global moderator is that sarcastically trolled you by saying he is an alt of Quickseller. A synonym for funny.
488  Other / Meta / Re: Infographic Stealing on: June 19, 2019, 11:42:05 AM
Technically posting someone elses photos or infographics are not in breach of copyright on bitcointalk. (KEYWORDS: on bitcointalk) The images are hosted on an external server not in control of this website. If there is a breach of copyright it is with the image host and the person who posted it. Bitcointalk only links to the image. In most jurisdictions linking to an image does not result in breach of copyright.

I've previously discussed that here
489  Other / Meta / Re: PM from admin demanding to exclude a certain user on: June 19, 2019, 11:27:17 AM

But this is exactly the issue: "trust" and what people deem to be shady behaviour is completely subjective. One person can think anything with bitcoin in the name other than the original bitcoin is being shady and trying to mislead whereas others don't or don't care. I think people who try become escrow with no previous trade history are either pretty naive or are trying to steal others money but either way I don't trust them. Does it deserve negative feedback? Arguably, yes. Some people would disagree. Some people don't care. Account selling is another issue. Some people find the selling of bitointalk accounts extremely shady. Others don't. Others are on the fence. Selling an account isn't directly a scam but it can certainly lead to them. Should we leave negative for account sellers? Some people think so and other don't. Even more probably don't care. People get into petty spats here for a multitude of reasons and others are quick to try dig up dirt and blow things out of proportion to try get their comeuppance and they sometimes use the feedback system to do that and the cycle continues. This update does help to curb that but it's also going to make life easier for a lot of scammers, but as I've always said you're never going to be able to please everyone with any feedback system whatever you do.

Trust is extremely subjective. There are a number of people on this forum that I don't trust but have refrained from expressing that opinion because I don't think they are a threat to peoples funds.

We made an attempt to get some agreement about acceptable and unacceptable behavior but the consequences were not really discussed.

In the absence of guidelines or rules it is also hard to draw a clear line between good and evil. The scam tags under the old system sat between mediocre behavior and slightly scammy to proven scammer

I feel the new flag system has moved the scam tags exclusively to those proven to be total scammers.

It wasn't without damage but Lauda did spend a lot of time pursuing those that had bad intent. I felt at times that it was too harsh on some but the overall result was that a lot of dodgy stuff was being stopped.

I don't know Lauda so I don't feel I am in a position to make much of a judgement.

With the current flag system I feel a lot of scammers will now be "under the radar"

Some will be judged because they fail to pay back a single loan while others - with a criminal record - proven scammers - will now scam more freely using their multiple alt accounts.

When someone is completely exposed as a scammer they are at their weakest. Those that really need to be warned against are those that are just starting their scam and all the evidence will not yet be available.

At the early stage there will just be the warning signs - like bought accounts, fake identities and other unethical behavior.
490  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: June 17, 2019, 08:51:51 AM
Also how does this flag system apply to e.g. the CEO or founder of an LLC  that goes bankrupt or causes some users to loose funds ?

They don't have a contract with any of the users. The contract is between the user and the LLC.

So either no flag or a newbie flag is used ?

491  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: June 15, 2019, 11:21:32 AM
How do we apply a flag to someone who is clearly involved in fraudulent activity but has not defrauded us personally ?

For instance this guy:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4679939.0

Who is attached to multiple alts - is a criminal facing extradition and uses false identities to promote questionable projects ?

I want to get my head around the flag system before using it.
492  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh on: June 11, 2019, 11:09:57 PM

Your argument is completely fallacious. Just because people are objecting to one extreme does not mean the other extreme is the only alternative. You are being willfully ignorant and simply repeating your programmed response like a robot. We get it. Sexual harassment and discrimination is bad. That doesn't make over reaction to these issues any more acceptable. Furthermore if you took the time to think about this for more than a half of a second you would see that this trend is DIRECTLY negatively effecting women by the virtue of the fact that this culture of guilty until proven innocent demonization of men is DIRECTLY causing women to be excluded, and very reasonably so. People aren't going to put their careers, livelihoods, and businesses on the line on the chance that they won't make a false accusation, nor should they.

You are talking about a caricature of the USA, not the reality. You are a mindless parrot vomiting up your programed replies to these topics without a moment of critical examination. No one is justifying sexual assault or harassment, and the implication of such is totally a figment of your own imagination that you project upon anyone who has a contrary opinion to your own. BTW you didn't answer my questions.

So the real issue is that false complaints are not punished.

But just because there is not enough proof doesn't mean something didn't happen. Predators are good at covering up their tracks.

Judicial appointments are also very politicized. There is something fundamentally wrong when a political process is used to appoint judges.

I've worked in a number of companies. I have seen the attitudes of some men towards women. They should be afraid - it is inappropriate and unprofessional.

The fact that Donald Trump was caught on a recording and it as dismissed as "locker room talk" is indicative of where the issue is.

I find it quite entertaining you demand proof for even acknowledging that this issue is even a problem, yet you think not having any proof to ruin a man's life is not a problem at all. Hypocritical much? There is a reason the standard of innocent until proven guilty was put into use, because without it the "justice system" quickly becomes a tool of injustice. The issue is not only that false accusations are not punished, the issue is also that this atmosphere of burning the accused without evidence is the main problem. It is a FACT that there are direct monetary incentives for women to make false accusations, among other direct incentives such as hiding adultery, manipulating political outcomes, or preserving one's perceived social status.

Are men and women equal? Then why is it women are not equally capable of malfeasance in your eyes? That sounds like quite a sexist contradiction to me implying women are some how better or more innocent than men.

Regarding Donald Trump, his private discussion was regarding CONSENSUAL ACTIVITY, the key words being "they LET you", furthermore this is completely off topic and just more deranged projections of your preprogrammed caricature of the USA. Have you ever even been here, or do you just let the TV form all of your opinions for you? BTW you still haven't answered my first questions.

EDIT:

Related: Keanu Reeves Exposes The Sad State Of Me Too Feminism https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WFkvXxbZTI

I see the issue differently from you. Whenever there is a unbalance of power or wealth there is the ability to get away with more using good lawyers but those people become equally vulnerable to unscrupulous behaviour from predators. Women making false complaints are jnvolved in unethical and illegal activity. There is no excuse for it.

Wealthy women get targeted as well.

Rich people and politicians often get targeted by blackmailers. It doesn't matter how you frame it but "making false claims about someone" for monetary or political gain is blackmail.

Men and women should have equal rights. That is different from being "the same".

There is also a big difference between being accused of something and being found guilty of something by a court. While the system is not perfect - most false claims are unsuccessful. With the high standard of proof required often guilty people get exonerated as well.

Another dumb shit missing the point. Did you even read the article? What about being able to ruin men's lives with zero evidence or substantiation is acceptable? You conveniently just ignored that part and moved right on to your preconditioned response.

I read the article and it doesn't provide any real proof.

With any change in social culture there will always be people that don't like the change. Of course some people will feel uncomfortable.

People feel uncomfortable with race integration too. There is still discrimination because people feel "uncomfortable". Should we bring back segregation because some people are "uncomfortable" working with someone from another race ?

From an outsider looking in there are many social aspects that the US is terribly behind with.

They talk about left and right but the US doesn't have a real left.

The US is not a democracy and as such - some progress - is still hindered by 1787 thinking.

Where I live - if you knowingly make a false complaint to someones employer you can be held criminally liable. If that is not the case in your country then perhaps that is the real problem.

"AOC blaming ‘creepy men’ for not wanting to mentor women 1-on-1 goes REALLY wrong"

www.yourdestinationnow.com/2019/06/a-village-is-missing-its-idiot-aoc.html

Happy now ladies? You got all the authority in the world to accuse men and ruin their lives with zero evidence, now men don't want anything to do with you professionally because it is a huge liability.

It is often the creepy men that feel most intimidated by this.

If you work with women in the workforce you just need to treat them professionally as an equal to if they were a man.
Have proper professional boundaries in place and make sure that neither person crosses those boundaries.
They seem to have much fewer issues with this in Europe.

Nicknames, teasing, innuendo and flirting really do not have a place in a professional workplace. It is a ll fun and games until someone gets upset - then it can cost heavily. There are many things that can upset people when there is an issue.

I've worked with quite a few women in a male dominated industry.  I ensure I act above reproach both publicly and privately with co-workers and clients..

Making a false complaint is a criminal offense. It is on par with blackmail, theft and forgery. There are always people who commit crimes. Men and women.  I'm not convinced that the statistics show it as being an epidemic.

Can we have a section that is decentralized? That does not interfere with freedom of speech.

Posts are only deleted because they break the rules. Freedom of speech has nothing to do with it.

If you familiarize yourself with the rules:

You will probably never have a post deleted again.

99% of what the moderators delete is low quality nonsense - without mods this forum would be almost unreadable.

LOL, good finds; classic funny shitposts -- getting back to the roots of the thread. Though I know what he means, when I think of "bitcoin gas," I'm wondering if its an emission resulting from the decomposition of bitcoin or if its gas that you bought with bitcoin.

Maybe it is a bear or bull with flatulence.

498  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: June 08, 2019, 02:29:11 PM

Just how do they plan to try step 1 (attempt to reorganise the company to make it profitable)?
They haven't even paid for their server, just how much are they on the red?

They might have gone through the same miscalculation as Nvidia, expanding too much too late in the last bullrun and when the prices dropped, their income was reduced so much that they could not pay for their expanded workforce and servers.
That's what I think.

A liquidator is able to re-organize a company in such a way that it can legally trade again. (If it is insolvent it cannot trade).

The letter was commissioned by the DAPS community so it is just a general outline of what it likely to happen.

I doubt that option 1 is viable. But you never know.

I clearly stated that there was no official representation from Cryptopia on bitcointalk. I made it extremely clear that I was not authorised to say anything on behalf of them and that I was just helping out people in my personal capacity - I am not and have never been an employee there. Yet at times you tried to imply that it was otherwise and that Ben - a Cryptopia employee - was my "lapdog".

You'll be disappointed to learn that Lafu PM'ed me and demanded I change what I had originally written to read what you quoted.  Perhaps after you've had a wank you should confer with Lafu.  Where is "Ben" btw? - We've noticed he's gone AWL since Cryptopia went officially into liquidation...   Roll Eyes

Speaking of PM'ing, send me a PM some time as this barb of yours is not on topic and we wouldn't want to have a misunderstanding about off-topic posts now would we?   Roll Eyes

Are you saying that  Timelord2067 V  Timelord2067 talking to himself is off topic ?

I think it is indicative of what generally is going on. In my opinion you are someone with far too much time and few real friends that is unable to recognize his own toxicity.

I would say that Lafu is hurt from the Crypto he lost while you still try to attack his character. That often knocks the wind out of people.

But it is another lie from you. He has been keeping users informed about the liquidation in the German forum which is his native tongue.

See - typical lack of facts based accusations on your part. It is the story of the majority of your conflicts on here.

PM is pointless. Until you admit your lies which I have clearly outlined I have nothing to say to you in private. You are on my PM blocked list so I won't receive anything anyway.

Anything else is just a distraction.

EDIT:

Timelord2067  Please move your off topic post elsewhere. As it has been reported and I will not answer it here.

Yes I've been made aware that you have cited that post multiple times as the reason that I and I alone could have prevented the 100+ alt coin attacks on Cryptopia last year and the multi million dollar hack of Cryptopia this year.

Perhaps you can show where I said, insinuated or implied  "that you and you alone could have prevented the 100+ alt coin attacks on Cryptopia[/b] last year and the multi million dollar hack of Cryptopia this year"

I hold you responsible for what happened with sexcoin. I think that is reasonable since you are a Dev of sexcoin.

I've never said or implied that you are responsible for anything else. This just demonstrates that you are spreading more lies.

I've also been made aware of the shall we say pressure to have me removed from the SexCoin community such as placing Lavajumper on your distrust list until such time as I am removed. I'm sure @theymos has brought out edits concerning that kind of behavior.

Again. Another lie. I have not spoken to anyone from the sexcoin community and lavajumper is another developer of sexcoin. I hold lavajumper equally responsible.
I require you to produce proof that I attempted to have you removed. You cannot because it is another lie you made up.

Note: This is not even a trust rating. It is just that you do not show on my trust list. I don't trust either of you for the reasons I provided. Unlike yourself I have not placed any trust rating on you.

You'd be on the "sad idiot list" if there was one.

Interesting narrative, but not true.  I merely asked you to take your discussion back to the main Cryptopia thread as the thread you had posted in was for online articles related to the hack on Cryptopia.  You also posted seven times in a row, then I asked you to stop posting off-topic.

You were attacking my character well before that post. Stop lying and take responsibility for the fact that you tried to taint my character while knowing that some of the things you were deliberately saying are a lie.

Perhaps you can have a look at the dates that you posted these. It makes you a proven liar. You try to imply several things without actually saying it.

How do you consolidate this ?

@xtraelv Muchly Wow!

As a non-employee you would lecture now about multiple 51% attacks you know nothing about?

Held to ransom is what Cryptopia did to the SexCoin community and to about another 100+ alts coins similarly affected. And as @einsteinium correctly points out, there were multiple attacks over many weeks over many, many alt coins.

You should read up on these posts before you click reply.

xtraely and lafu and anyone else claiming to be representatives of Cryptopia definitely aren't

Neither Lafu nor myself are employees of Cryptopia. Nor are we authorized to make any statements on their behalf.  There is no official representation of Cryptopia on Bitcointalk as they only consider discord and twitter as official media channels.

As a client of the exchange I probably have more $ at risk than most.

You are correct that their staff have instructed not to make any statements. Most are on leave as the offices are considered a crime scene.

A reminder that Lafu and xtraelv are not employees of Cryptopia http://archive.fo/bq7DY#selection-5393.0-5401.139 and as such please limit the number of enquiries you make to them as they cannot respond to individual requests for information.

Hey thanks for the information - I don't read this thread too often, I've already been "distrusted" by xtraelv and lafu, as well as had my post deleted - which is what usually happens when people have something to hide.

If you are like me you can counter xtraelv, lafu and their lapdog BenTheAnonMod by going to your own profile page https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile clicking on "trust" then click on "Trust settings"

In the box add

Code:
~xtraelv.
~Lafu.
~BenTheAnonMod.

for any or all of the three you don't trust.

The first two on the list are on what they call here the "Default Trust" which is why they act as though they are untouchable.

Similarly, if you like what some one is doing, all you have to do is add their name without the leeding squiggle

Code:
arandomnameofsomeone

then click "update"

 Kiss

I clearly stated that there was no official representation from Cryptopia on bitcointalk. Yet at times you tried to imply that it was otherwise and that Ben - a Cryptopia employee - was my "lapdog".

It makes you a pathetic liar. Like I said before I don't think you have the ability to recognize your own incompetence and misconduct.

You still have not replied to the questions asked about the sexcoin hacks in your reputation thread since February.
