I already reviewed the website and I find this project interesting. I am definitely joining the airdrop and might promote it as well. This can be a good project especially aimed to people interested in cryptocurrency investing and trading. I love the way it is presented and it is looking at a different or a little bit radical perspective in getting the best angle for the many factors that can affect cryptocurrency movement. I am wishing the project a great success. Disclaimer: I am not in any capacity connected with this project am just stating my positive opinion about it.

You might want to rethink that. This is a SCAM.

This project has a fake CEO and is proven to be a scam.

It has all the hallmarks of a ponzi and the team members are FAKE.

Well spotted about the photo-shopped image. If you have a fake CEO then by definition it is a scam.

Also the ICO is a classic ponzi.

1468  Other / Off-topic / Re: IS RELIGION IMPORTANT? on: August 25, 2018, 05:20:51 PM
Religion kills a lot of innocent people because one culture interpreted history different from another.

It's been proven the bible was not written about a man that died in 0AD.  When you trace the order of the books, timelines have five generations going by before anyone mentions him.

How many religions are based on that bible?  How many magics have been created to allow it to make sense?

:/

Why should another person's beliefs bother me?

Billions believe they need do nothing about global warming because their god is still in control.   They have contributed significantly to our extinction.

That is not the only example.

Many cats were exterminated in Europe due to religious superstition. Cats (especially black cats) were considered companions of witches.
Black Plague was spread by fleas carried by infected rats, Extermination of cats - would have contributed to an increase of the rat population.

Someone finding Bitcoin Cash useful for a particular use case (payments) doesn't mean they're immediately some raging "Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin" crazy person. Right now I keep most of my money in Bitcoin, and some spending money in Bitcoin Cash, but if the fees get high on Bitcoin, as they sometimes do, I can just pay for things with Bitcoin Cash since adoption is reasonably good. It's ridiculous how there's no longer any nuance left in the community. Everyone's so ready to chase anyone out of the community just because they don't hate on Bitcoin Cash with the same fierce fiery hatred.

I haven't done anything evil with my access, ever. In fact, I've been extremely aggressive in preventive efforts to harm actual evil like XT, Classic, BU, NYA, etc. It's disappointing how prominent people like Gregory Maxwell and Samson Mow have helped in spreading vicious rumors that I've been compromised or sold my account. Despite what you read on Twitter, there's no history of me doing anything malicious to harm the Bitcoin community. It's all just a smear campaign organized by people associated with Blockstream.

I can assure you all that nobody will ever see anything evil put up on bitcoin.org or bitcointalk.org. The fact that something so obvious needs to be stated is a testament to how so many in this community have become paranoid and are in a state of permanently waiting for the next "enemy of Bitcoin" to show themselves.

There is nothing after death. So enjoy this life. Be nice to others and spend the time wisely.

But if you die and you haven't written down your private keys for your next of kin then your bitcoins go to bitcoin heaven and live forever on the blockchain.

What if you woke up tomorrow in Valhalla, the hall of Odin? Would you regret the days you spent NOT training for daily martial combat? Would you repent not having died honorably in glorious battle with songs on your tongue?

No? You wouldn't curse your soft muscles and terrible hatchet skills?

We could take this question seriously….but why? If I met God, I'd ask him why he had to be the boring one… I would return his Bible: “4/10….needs improvement… is this ultimate moral authority or are we still stoning people?”

THEN WHAT RELIGION IS THE TRUE ONE COZ THERE'S A LOT OF RELIGION NOWADAYS?? Wink

Why would "being the true religion" have to be a monopoly ? It could be like bitcoin and have lots of "alts".
Instead of going to the moon they promote going to heaven or re-incarnation.

I know that they are not really going to the moon. It is just the shills that say that to make you believe and hand over money,  Grin

Treat is as a metaphor. If you behave like a decent person you generally live a happy and trouble free life.

Maybe you should diversify your religious investments. Spread the risk.  Roll Eyes

Then again - perhaps that only works with non imaginary things.

US patent US20080245187A1/en

Man made gold and platinum
Abstract
A man made method, utilizing particles bombardment technique, is used to produce Gold and Platinum. The particles bombardment technique uses particle accelerator to accelerate Lithium particles to high speed. These high speed Lithium particles contain high energy. These high energy Lithium particles are used to bombard Osmium element. Then elements Lithium and Osmium undergo cold fusion process that they are combined to produce element Gold.
By the same method, Helium particles are accelerated by particle accelerator to high speed. These high speed Helium particles contain high energy. These high energy Helium particles are used to bombard Osmium element. Then elements Helium and Osmium undergo cold fusion process that they are combined to produce element Platinum.

1473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin really a bubble ? Analysis. on: August 25, 2018, 10:49:21 AM
I consider these charts highly misleading!
just because you reversed a chart and it showed drop of US dollar value it doesn't mean the other thing (in this case bitcoin) is not bubble. bitcoin is not a bubble because the current value is not higher than its intrinsic value, not only that but also it is lower than it which means it is underpriced!

otherwise you can draw the same chart for anything else, including shitcoins that are pumped, and then make the same false conclusion that they are not in bubbles either.

I agree that the intrinsic value is there as well but that can be relative. For instance when the price  of bitcoin drops below a certain level some miners will turn their miners off and that will lower the difficult - causing lower mining costs.

The chart showing it is in its infancy stage in comparison to the dotcom boom shows it is only getting started ( and underpriced ).

Perhaps I should have said :"Is bitcoin really a bubble ready to pop ?"

Also most of those bounty hunters dont even bother looking on other section of this forum which is sometimes they dont notice that they are already reported on meta.  Grin
exactly why many members of this forum somewhat dislike bounty hunters
they, bounty hunters, are here just for the money and don't care about reading or to get involved in a discussion
and when they do post, their main intention is to gain rank/activity point and not for actual discussion or contribute to the forum

Fortunately not all bounty hunters are like that. With a recent false alarm - a member had made some accusations against an ICO and when I followed it up there were some red flags. Fortunately there were some innocent explanations for them and it was sorted out quite quickly.

I was impressed with the response of both the bounty manager and some of those that were involved in the bounty as bounty hunters. That seems to be the difference between a scam bounty and a decent project. Scam bounties attract spam bots and low quality shills while the more selective bounties try to get members that make quality posts and care whether what they are promoting is a scam or genuine project.

Personally I don't get involved with bounties because my signature is not for sale but it is good to see that there are some members that care about what they promote (and not just for the threat of getting red tagged).

I find blatant shills and bots promoting an ICO for the sake of a bounty extremely unappealing.  It really does the ICO a disservice.

Gold is useful if you want a conductor that doesn't tarnish over time. It's price is probably dominated by jewellery/cost of extraction. It's value is most likely sentimental, if not downright mystical.

I personally think it's a bad investment choice. I think Bitcoin (and cryptocurrencies in general) are forcing a dialogue that's making people consider what value is and how it's applied. I don't think Gold will make the cut when we shift paradigms.

Gold has its place. But I don't see much use for it beyond what you can easily and legally take across borders. It may serve some purpose in small amounts but as an investment bitcoin has so many more advantages. Bitcoin is internet reliant so large scale internet disruption / solar flare / large EMP is its nemesis.

Gold and silver could have some use as a payment system  in case of serious disasters. But in such cases I think practical items like food, basic tools, firearms, fuel, usable transport, safe accommodation and the ability to generate electricity are going to be the major currency.

The countries and organisations that own the most gold are:

Netherlands: 612.5 tons
Japan: 765.2 tons
Switzerland: 1,040 tons
Russia: 1,778.9 tons
China: 1,842.6 tons
France: 2,435.9 tons
Italy: 2,451 tons
International monetary fund 2,814 tons
Germany: 3,373 tons
United States: 8,133.5 tons

If you owned gold in 1933 you would have had it seized under executive order 6102 forbidding personal gold ownership. Try taking gold across borders.

Quote
Executive Order 6102 is a United States presidential executive order signed on April 5, 1933, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt "forbidding the Hoarding of gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates within the continental United States". The limitation on gold ownership in the U.S. was repealed after President Gerald Ford signed a bill legalizing private ownership of gold coins, bars and certificates by an act of Congress codified in Pub.L. 93–373[1] which went into effect December 31, 1974. The order was made under the authority of the Trading with the Enemy Act of 1917, as amended by the Emergency Banking Act the previous month.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_Order_6102

From 1934 to 1974 gold basically didn't rise. How do you know that they are not just "letting you buy it" so they can seize it again ? In the meantime manipulating the bubble.

Quote
Gold Reserve Act

The Gold Reserve Act outlawed most private possession of gold, forcing individuals to sell it to the Treasury, after which it was stored in United States Bullion Depository at Fort Knox and other locations. The act also changed the nominal price of gold from $20.67 per troy ounce to $35. This price change incentivized foreign investors to export their gold to the United States, while simultaneously devaluing the U.S. dollar in an attempt to spark inflation.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_Reserve_Act

Quote
The Gold Clause Cases were a series of actions brought before the Supreme Court of the United States, in which the court narrowly upheld restrictions on the ownership of gold implemented by the administration of U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt in order to fight the Great Depression.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_Clause_Cases

Quote
Frederick Barber Campbell (who was actually convicted under the Gold Reserve Act's predecessor, Executive Order 6102), was convicted of hoarding gold when he tried to withdraw 5,000 troy ounces of gold he had at Chase National Bank. Foreign companies even had their gold confiscated. The Uebersee Finanz-Korporation, a Swiss banking company, had $1,250,000 in gold coins that were being held in the United States.

News media loves referring to bitcoin as a bubble but if you analyse the data it really doesn't make that much sense.

There are always adjustments in exchange rate markets market when it gets over heated.

Yeah - this is the image that everyone has been looking at recently. But lets put it in perspective. How about reversing the data.

Ouch ! That US$ bubble really popped !

A lot of bitcoin and crypto commerce is still developing. So much in its infancy.

Lets put it into a scale perspective:

Lets look at some other currencies and how they behave:

I know which one I rather own.

Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

LOL... you know the rules so well yet you break them right here with two posts in a row.

So I take it you don't have any proof that those accounts are alts. If you find something feel free to let me know and if there is any merit or trust abuse between those accounts I will post negative feedback for them like I did for you. Seems fair I think.

OMG - "Two posts in a row" you declare as "multiple"? Grin Grin Grin But I currently didn´t launch two posts in a row. Please, prove your claim!  Roll Eyes

This seems to me that you buddy are an unbearable nit-picker. Be aware: Next time I´ll inform the mod about your insults and false claims.

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

Q: Someone insulted me. Why aren't you deleting his post/thread?
A: Possible (since we don't have the time or resources to check) insults are also allowed as long as they contain any kind of constructive opinion, info or something else substantial and aren't off-topic. For example, posting something like "you are dumb" will be deleted as it contains no meaningful content. However, if the post is somehwere along the lines of "You are dumb. This is wrong because this website/thread/etc. has explained it's not right", it's in most cases accepted.

I will request to everyone, instead of discusse here about BQT & IOU please make a new thread on Scam Accusation. This thread is another topic, please highlight on Scam Accusation. If team unable to give us appropiate answer we will force managers to stope campaign. Although scam isn't moderate by forum but we need stop scammer ourselves.

Done. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4931035.new#new BQT.io scam accusation investigation

I have placed it in investigations rather than as an open accusation because while there are concerns about the legal status of some of the legal entities involved I am reluctant based on the information that I have to accuse it of being an outright scam.
