501  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best coin to buy today? on: January 01, 2018, 07:34:05 PM
it depends more on your strategy, let`s say if you are aiming to do daily trading than coins such as xlm, mco and pivx are good for it but if you consider long term than I would go with ark or golem.

I never even come to check the altcoins you are mentioning above.. lol! Smiley well, I just trade buy and trade with high volume coins and the most popular ones because I feel secure that way though not that much profit compared to little coins that are just starting up and have the potential of increasing its price value.
502  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin on: January 01, 2018, 07:28:44 PM
Alt coins are good for investment as compared to bitcoin because bitcoin is expensive. Alt coins values are stable as compared to bitcoin so yes altcoins will survive.

Not all altcoins though. try checking deadcoins site and you will see numbers of altcoins that are already dead and no longer in the market because they are either scams or developers are already living the project.
503  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why did I lose on trade ?? on: January 01, 2018, 07:26:09 PM
Hello I don’t understand I bought for 4000 Eur one hour ago of Ethereum when it was going up, it stayed around the 10-20%, it started to decrease 5 minutes ago so I sold it and now cex.io just gave me 3500eur for it... wtf... Huh
The %came from me watching livecoinwatch.. Cex.io doesn’t have the accurate price ??

it seems like you are experiencing a loss in trading because you are affected by the situation and you feel panicked when the price goes down, being a trader must have that "patience" that is the most important of all.

I could not agree more with the being patient in trading cryptocurrency world. Even Warren Buffet said that those who have the most patience in cryptocurrency trading will emerge the winners at the end of the day.
504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: January 01, 2018, 07:23:34 PM
No, because it is just very risky to so. Look at the price drop of bitcoin last week, it dropped from ~$20,000 to ~$15,000 in just 5 days, almost 30%! Therefore, instead of placing all my funds into bitcoin, I have chosen to diverse my risk and place part of my funds into some altcoins. Now, my investment portfolio is 40% bitcoin, 40% altcoins and 20% fiat. That 20% fiat is intended for buying bitcoin just in case its price drops to a really low level.

That is a good diversified portfolio - just stick to it and you will be just fine. I don't really think of the decreasing of bitcoin price and don't want to think any negative about it because it give me so much in terms of finances and its rise is even greater than the little decrease of its price recently.
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC the new gold ? on: January 01, 2018, 07:20:39 PM
Bitcoin can be said as an online gold asset that is almost the same as gold is useful for long-term investment or short-term and bitcoin enthusiasts are also getting bigger by the day

True. I think in the future, when all of the adjustment are made - like transaction fees and all that, bitcoin price will become stable and will already started to be use in everyday financial transactions of any individuals..
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are Your Greatest Fears As a Bitcoin Holder? on: January 01, 2018, 07:18:07 PM
"Hacking and scams remain the top risk for Bitcoin holders. Exchanges that shut down or passwords stolen from devices can easily wipe out a person’s bitcoins. Moreover, governments and central banks from various countries are starting to impose limitations on the use of cryptocurrencies.

Digital coins clearly threaten the political and economic establishment, and the regulatory environment can quickly change with the stroke of a legislative pen. Banks and governments typically use familiar language in the media, such as the need to protect consumers from new risks.

We are hearing familiar talking points from politicians who are getting pressured from the banking lobby. It seems that the root cause of the status quo’s actions in 2017 is to protect fiat currencies and traditional financial interests. Competing digital coins represent a potential end to the government’s monopoly of the monetary system." - Bitcoin.com

What are the top risks for Bitcoin holders?

Aside from the fear of being hacked, a holder's other fear would be getting paranoid and over thinking every now and then because of news. Sometimes, even you cannot calm down your own mind with double take thoughts even though you were already committed to the investment. The risk never left but always remember that you took it and you can finish this.

Bitcoin has been through a crisis in the past and it emerges as a victor above all. There is really no point in worrying when you laid down and made a decision to invest because it is really a good deal to invest in bitcoin nowadays.
507  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Convert your BTC to LTC/ETH ASAP on: January 01, 2018, 07:10:13 PM
Bitcoin is doomed. It runs off an outdated rudimentary system which requires way too much electricity. It's only a matter of time before it tanks due to a major technical issue. Switch to LITECOIN which is like bitcoin but better with all necessary improvements. Sell off all your BTC and buy LTC cheap while you still can! I realized how shitty bitcoin was last week when my 5k transaction took almost a day and a half to confirm (I still have no idea why). I sold all $35k of my BTC and put 3/4 into litecoin and the other 1/4 into Ethereum and it's so much cleaner and more manageable if that makes any sense. I also just doubled my money with LTC in the last 24 hrs. I advise you do the same ASAP.

I respect your decision mate but I am holding most of my bitcoins now and just spread some to different altcoins out there. Bitcoin still the base of all them all and that is why I am holding no matter what.
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: regret by not believing in BITCOIN? on: January 01, 2018, 06:44:19 PM
I agree with you, Bitcoin at that time has not grown and is not well known but at the time there were so many big events that worried investors, so they sold bitcoin at the time. I think if they were calmer then they would become millionaires.Bitcoin has given us the opportunity to earn huge profits again, purchasing bitcoins will not go in loos.
Yes I really feel regret when I join bitcoin late all my friends they told me to join bitcoin but at that time I thought its just wasting of time and money I have almost two years that I join bitcoin and they all join five years before they all are now very rich and some of them have buy properties if I join at that time so now I will be also same like them but still my life is change just because of bitcoin so join bitcoin as soon as possible.

Your friends are really good because they were able to invest their bitcoin earnings to some properties - that is good because that will fuel your motivation to exert more efforts because the reward is so good.
509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: January 01, 2018, 06:42:11 PM
Nothing will replace gold, I don't think nothing will replace btc, they're both in 2 different classes.

Yes, they can be both a good investment to add to your portfolio though. We should never miss the opportunities like these to invest as much as we can and as early as we can because the more invest early, the more we reap our profit real soon.
510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saved my year on: January 01, 2018, 06:36:40 PM
It's encouraging to read the posts of how bitcoin changed people's financial situation, on a new year day. 2017 was a great year for bitcoin the cryptocurrency. Hope 2018 will continue the good performance. Happy new year everyone!

I am really a living witness of just ordinary college students who become millionaires and wealthy because of bitcoin. In fairness to them, they made lots of hard work in order to get it by equipping themselves with the right amount of knowledge and skills with trading and patience in holding their coins no matter what.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: January 01, 2018, 06:31:56 PM
Gone are the times when I used to pay around $0.10 for my Bitcoin transactions.
I miss those days that transaction fees are very cheap but as bitcoin grows the conversion of the low transaction fee is looking high base on our conversion to the current USD value. I did checked the transaction on blockchain.info a while ago and the fee isn't too high, it was around 0.0002 BTC so that was really low unlike before it was more than 0.001BTC. And before when the price of bitcoin is low, 0.0002 BTC is really cheap.

yes, that is not way too much of a transaction fee and it is just fair for making all of our bitcoin transactions possible. Miners are also investing a fortune for their bitcoin mining infrastructure in order to serve and make our transactions get through.
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: January 01, 2018, 06:27:59 PM
No it will not disappear bitcoin as banks are not currency with which bitcoin is in competition and the banks will sooner start working with bitcoin as the banks job is to work with currencies and bitcoin is a currency.
And may be Bitcoin itself require the need of banks if it took physical shape.

That is true, bitcoin was not design to take over banks which are already an institution in the financial world. Soon, it will be possible that banks will incorporate bitcoin and the concept of blockchain in their system.
513  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: January 01, 2018, 06:26:14 PM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.
If I have to convert all my assets into Bitcoin or Gold, then I will choose Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin's value was about 10-12 times in the first year, which was 1 year ago. In the next 10 years, I hope Bitcoin will get 10-20 times more gains than gold.

Bitcoin being futuristic makes it a good investment vehicle to invest by many investors both rich and that much rich, around the world. That is why bitcoin soar very high its price because of the much demand by new commerce in the field.
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: January 01, 2018, 06:23:38 PM
Gold is not made by humans and cannot be replicated and it's from natural resource and that's what makes it valuable so it will not be replaced by bitcoin. But I do believe it will become very cheap because of btc.

I would agree with the first part of your post, but I will have to disagree with the remaining. If you have any doubts, then you can compare the gold and Bitcoin prices side-by-side. You can see that there is absolutely no link between the exchange rates of both the assets. In 2017, when Bitcoin prices increased by 1,300%, the gold prices were more or less stable.

Gold investment is really up for a long term in order to profit bigbut it is seems not that much of investing to bitcoin because in just very short period of time, your money can go very high and even doubling your investment to it in no time at all.
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: January 01, 2018, 06:21:43 PM
gambling is not really wrong, it is all about you if you want to become a wrong person as a gambler, if you play only find relaxing and not to become an addicted person in gambling then why you done wrong, it is more fun and become smart in terms of gambling in this society.
I also have the same thoughts that being a gambler is not a bad thing because I am well aware of the fact that don’t judge the person by his appearance, judge him by his character. If one love gambling for having fun and practicing something new in his life, then gambling is not a sin but putting bets on the games in it for making money is a wrong thing and If you will take part in it, definitely you would also be called a bad person.

It really defers on personal belief and I respect all of the inputs here. For me though, gambling is ok as long as you are playing it for fun and use money that you can afford to lose.
516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: January 01, 2018, 06:18:59 PM
Gone are the times when I used to pay around $0.10 for my Bitcoin transactions. Back then, I was hoping that one day Bitcoin will replace fiat cash as the main medium of shopping. But recently the fees shot up to as high as $150 per transaction. Just imagine someone paying $150 as a transaction fee to purchase a burger which costs just $2.

Make sense and hopefully, there could be some workaround with that in the future as bitcoin is gaining more attractions from many investors around the world. We should transact less with bitcoin and consider it as a good resource and not a payment of our small errands.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: January 01, 2018, 06:16:08 PM
I really think it is safer to invest than to gamble. It's true that both are risky, however, investing is safer because you can make an educated decision using data, experience, and skills. Unlike in gambling, the odds of losing is higher because in gambling winning is an objective. Most gambling games require luck.
Investment is much safer to gamble if you will invest to the right thing. There are investments that are surely like gamble but if you do have background on what you are investing then that will become your asset and great way to make money. The most popular one is through trading and joining ICOs, there were many investors that are putting their interest on it.

Yes, investment is way safer than gambling. Gambling can just be used for entertainment and fun while trading is for profit. Make it sure also that when you invest, you must learn that investment vehicle and treat all of your investment as a serious business.
518  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: January 01, 2018, 06:13:45 PM
I know trading is hard but if you quit trading it's really bad situation. Because if you quit you gonna be a loser in trading forever.

When you trade, your goal should and must always be you either win or learn. The more you trade the more you will both earn and learn. However, if all you do mostly is getting worried and do some crazy trades then, you will most likely will going to lose.
519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: January 01, 2018, 06:11:03 PM
If you play for money then you will addict to gambling.
You'll not addicted that immediately if you'll just gamble and play with your money. Addiction will start if you have intention to gamble for profit and problem starts there, when you are losing that will press yourself to keep on gambling again and recover those losses that you've made. This how addiction works when you've been with it too much and your mind starts to think different.

That is really the saddest part - when you are already trying hard to chase your previous loses. It is hard because you are up against the casino which have house edge advantage. This way, we should play just for fun and entertainment and no profit goals whatsoever.
520  Economy / Speculation / Re: how to predict bitcoin price increase or decrease? on: January 01, 2018, 06:08:48 PM
We see sometimes bitcoin price increase or decrease. How I can predict whether bitcoin price increase or decrease.Again, who controll this price.I appreciate if you kindly share your experience.
I think the best way to predict an increase or decrease is through observation on what has been happening in the market lately. If demands of bitcoin are getting low, then it means that an decrease is at high possibility anytime while if the demands of bitcoin is high, then it means that pumps or increase are yet to come. No matter when will this things happen, being ready is always necessary.

few weeks ago, as we are trading heavily with my good friend who leads the  way as to which altcoins we are going to trade, we realized that it is really a crazy roller coaster out there that we think wherever we choose to buy and sell, we are doing the opposite thing - it was stressful because it was a very many trading transactions compared to our regular trading patters.
