 all in? I posted this at around $266 yesterday after we retraced the dump to $262. We've visited the $260's briefly on Finex but I think were going to go down from here a bit more before the final assault on $300. Short term predictions:
Full retrace from that dump, I think we will probably go to $280 and then dip to around $260ish again before an assault on $300. My 2 bitcents.

When you propose a bet, you are maybe suggesting that I'm saying its more likely than not to happen over some particular timeframe, which I'm certainly not. I'm saying it is possible and that emission can turn out to be largely irrelevant, just as it was for LTC. No I don't think it would happen exactly the same way as LTC. I expect if it happens it will play out in some similarly unexpected way. I kind of disagree about there being fewer alts though. The enormous wave of clones crested in 2013 has basically dried up. There are only a few dozen alts any more for all practical purposes, and crowding and alt-fatague has largely closed the door to new ones. In fact many if not most of the alts that are still remotely viable now already existed then. Fair enough, Im obviously joking about the bet wasn't specifically aimed at you just saying I'd gladly take it. Nobody in their right mind would take it though if you want it I'm game! Without getting into deep discussions we'll just agree to disagree. My main point is it needs a BTC rally, plus the fact that for all you know a coin could come out tommorow that does what we are doing better. I just wanted to add a little bit of balance to the XMR to $100 rhetoric. |

If ltc can go to 50 xmr can go to 100. LTC went to $50 because BTC rallied to $1200. It was only a 5x rally in terms of ratio. If BTC had rallied to $200 and LTC 5x'd LTC would have only been worth ~$10. Why do people always ignore this. No, LTC rallied by a factor of ~20 in ratio from early 2013 lows. That's not really the point though. LTC has 4x the supply model of BTC or XMR (fairly close to each other). LTC at 0.05 BTC is more like XMR at 0.2 BTC. This for a coin that had basically nothing going for it in terms of either existing technology or visible development process. If you buy the possibility of a silver to btc's gold or hedging or whatever you want to call it (and I do buy these models somewhat) then 0.1-0.2 BTC or possibly a bit higher is achievable. With no BTC rally at all that's still $25-50, and a btc rally is very possible as well. This is 100% not meant as "buy! buy! buy!" but merely to express that explosive possibilities exist, and changes to the dynamic of mining and the new investors that such an explosive event would surely bring may make the emission and dumping arguments largely irrelevant. The possibility of total failure also most certainly exists. There are so many more arguments against that though. It didn't really need anything going for it at the time there were far less alts for example (this is a huge factor), the Chinese ate LTC up. All the BTC train missers got on LTC. I'm not saying XMR will never get to $100 in the long long term future but categorically only with a huge bump in BTC price. 0.1- 0.2 100x + increase. Laughable how this dumb scared whale(s) is constantly buying so the positive momentum could continue. If you look at the chart, the price wants to plunge into the shitter and everytime it does that for a longer period, you see these sudden bursts...  Somebody is about to lose a shit ton of money. I'll bite. They're called accumulation zones. Big players accumulate coins while its quiet and people are like ooohhh its going back down so are shorting into them. Then the market makers move it up and close their longs into the shorters panic closing and being margin called. They let it settle out again and continue accumulating. Rinse and repeat. It's a key sign of a possible trend reversal. Learn to play them and you wouldn't bitch so much. |

A premium over market makes sense.
And with so many players in the auction - anything at or lower than market price is not probable.
Bullish indeed - they ain't gonna dump if they paid over market.
They aren't going to dump regardless. The bidding process is so long winded and backwards the only people bidding are doing it for large clean positions and for liquidity purposes. |

When you revoke access to a key is it purged from your database ?
Yes, that's all that button does. Ok thanks for that. As long as it is actually deleted I have no issue. One concern I do have however is you ask not to use read only keys. Why is that when all you are doing is reading trades to plot on the charts? EDIT: Actually I've just remembered the difference between a purge and delete. Why is that data purged and not deleted? Email admin@cryptowat.ch with your username to get early access to it if you're interested. When we launch it to everybody, we want the existing user base to be able to use it out of the box. That's why we ask for full-access keys currently. Technically, you can put in a read-only key and the trade overlay feature will still work. However, you will have to update it with a full-access key if you ever want to use the trading interface. With regards to the distinction between being purged and deleted, to be very clear the record holding your key and secret is irreversibly dropped from the database. And all keys and secrets stored in the database are encrypted; the only place and time your keys are available in clear text is in memory, while our app is using them to sign API requests. Perfect. If your lost, don't trade. What happens now is anyones guess. The books are super stacked. I've bought back a fair chunk of my trading stash to see what happens next. Even if we go up from here I'm still not that confident it goes much higher than previous short term high of 0.00175. 0.00199 Is that your estimate on how high? Or are you trying to tell me that 0.00175 isnt the previous short term high? (If its the latter it is. Previous high of 0.019x was three months ago. Thats not short term) Time frames are all relative. IMHO, 3 months is still short-term in nature. I've always looked at in sub-3, short, 3-12 interm, >12 long. Granted, one could also argue accelerated time horizons given the volatility and infancy of crypto. Course they are but trying to correct me when my time frame for before xmas is clearly medium term is just obtuse. Over 3 months just isn't short term in crypto and particularly alts. So disagreeing is correcting now? Lets see who is correct. Jesus whats your problem. If I say I don't think it will break the short term high of 0.00175 clearly the time frame I'm talking about doesn't include before Christmas. Arguing what constitutes short term is just arguing semantics, not price action. Just because you think short term includes before Christmas has no bearing on the point I'm making.
