562  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: September 27, 2023, 11:53:28 PM
Many of the protesters in my country blame the government. It's visible that there's a lack of support from the government but you don't move at all times together with them. While their policies and help really helps to shortcut matters but as a person who sees the poverty line getting tougher these days and came from not so fortunate family, it is really should be you that must go up. Lucky the people that are being helped by the government but many of them wastes that opportunity like being a college full scholar but they're not finishing it. The problem at most times is on the people and the government why they end up in a bad situation. No need to blame anyone or the government, although there's an argument that we shouldn't tolerate and normalize the shortcomings of the government. Just like us, they're not perfect and the initiative should start from us because no one is there to help us, keep that mindset and stand and do what you think is gonna change your life forever.
563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if your country did not legalize cryptocurrency? on: September 27, 2023, 11:24:01 PM
Our country is good with cryptos and if ever they will not legalize it, that's okay. I'm already here and have been in the market for so long, that they might just stop all the crypto services coming from our local exchanges and we will have a hard time converting cryptos into our local money.
If that is so, I'll find the markets that are not commonly known by them because whether we like it or not, there are these exchanges physically that do really exist where people can just exchange each other and trade on their own without being regulated. And a sad thing is that our government's laws don't have that much teeth.

564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Education. on: September 27, 2023, 10:59:07 PM
Many countries prohibit gambling, to the extent that they do not licence any casino in their country. This however did not completely prevent the citizens of such countries from gambling. They go extra miles by using hidden or rerouted IP addresses to gamble. Even when the casinos block these users they keep attempting to cheat both their country's law and the casino.

Also, many countries have official gambling age but their citizens also violate this age standard.
All these abnormal ways of gambling promote gambling abuse and possible addiction which further makes gambling a societal menace.

Instead of outrightly banning gambling, how about if the concerned countries officially include gambling education in their academic syllabus, just like sex education is taught in schools.
While it's good to educate them at an early age I don't think that it should start with the school but with the parents. However, what if the parent is the one who gambles and is addicted to it? But as far as we all know, despite a parent being a gambler, we don't want our children to be dealt with gambling. That's why I believe that wherever is the kid and the environment that surrounds it, that's how they're being raised.

Gambling education will teach the young ones the dangers of gambling and promote moderation in gambling. Will this not be a better way to handle the gambling cases?
It's possible that they will listen to their teachers but this is like introduction than prevention. A lot of things play in my mind but an actual scenario and test or case study will prove if it will.
565  Economy / Economics / Re: Food Crisis - Improved, Worsen or still the same in your country (No Change)? on: September 27, 2023, 10:32:00 PM
I don't know about other places but in my country the price of food items have not only doubled but most food items have gotten to an outrageous amount and with the rate at which my country's currency is loosing value I doubt if we have a hope of any reduction in their prices.
Most countries are dealing with this problem, the rise for the cost of foods have been so quick and that also devalues the currencies that we've got as it results to inflation. As for having hope for the price reduction, what we see is the continuous rise but if there's a rollback to its prices, that seems to be not likeable and unable to happen.

But a way of curbing the pangs of cost on food items, everyone at least needs to have a home grown garden, I know it might not be able to supply all you needs but if you can make preparation for a larger scale that can at least cater for your family, that will go a long way in helping with the amount that'll be spent on food.
Lucky are those with garden and fruit bearing plants and vegetables that they can cook when they're on the time of harvesting. But not everyone has that good land mass where they can start their own gardening. But to those that have it, sure it's one hobbies that's very likeable and helpful in these times.
566  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading and gambling on: September 27, 2023, 09:53:29 PM
although bitcoin is just a bunch of code but obviously it can be seen in our wallet as a digital asset.
Although there's truth that it was a bunch of code let's remove the 'just' because it seems that this bunch of codes isn't important at all. Not an issue but just an opinion mate.

What the two have in common is that they both rely on luck to win. even though it's only a few people, not everyone trades bitcoin like that.
Not in trading, although if you're going to do it with meme coins. There's really a need for you to have luck with that. But in general, no it's not that you need luck in trading bitcoin but you need to have at least the basic knowledge of why you're going to trade it and why you're holding it.
567  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DCA on a real account: does it work? on: September 27, 2023, 09:21:44 PM
You can't be sure with that ROI you're mentioning with those numbers. Because from what I am experiencing through DCA, you just can't measure how much the ROI, the losses, and the profit will be. It is literally unknown. And you can't just do DCA on fake accounts or demo accounts because we're talking about real money here, real crypto and without such, you can't buy those on any exchange.

I'm not a trader, so I was looking for a more passive approach to investing. I'm hoping that this strategy will be a good fit for me.
This is the better approach if you're not really a trader. Yes, it's passive and for sure if you have understood how it works, it's certainly a good fit for you.

My approach isn't strictly DCA since DCA involves making regular purchases at set intervals. Instead, my strategy involves making multiple purchases based on market volatility, coupled with a fixed take-profit target. In my case, after conducting a successful backtest, I have implemented this strategy in a live trading account. For instance, you can observe the performance in 2022, which was a bearish year.https://es.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSDT/qtnVf3E5/
Nice.
I do understand what you're saying that it's still DCA whether you set regular buys out or you just want to buy all of a sudden but that's been a practice that you've been following.
If you're able to do successful back test with it and was able to measure how much profit and percentage you'll get from the ROI you've seen in projection, that's nice. Anyway if you're going to reply to others, just merge it in post to avoid deletion or problems from the mods.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You choose the best site. 💪 on: September 27, 2023, 08:53:30 PM
We compare a lot of games and gambling here with Bitcoin which I personally think is bad because Bitcoin is the best currency in the world.
As part of history, casinos really helped and contributed a lot to bitcoin's growth. In fact, they're like the first industry that have been stable up to now that has firstly accepted bitcoin. How about the real casinos that accept fiat, they're bad too?

Many of us get addicted to gambling games then we all lose money then we all get involved in drugs and alcohol which is very dangerous to your life and full of damage to your health and some people have bitcoins if they are trading A little loss they get involved in drugs very easily everyone stay away from it and gambling game wise people get success in short time because gambling game is not for those who have little money because they have to work hard to earn money on the good side. Invest the money in a place like learn bitcoin trading and holding your life will be better and you stay away from drugs and drink less alcohol.
That description of yours is about an irresponsible gambler. Not everyone gets involved with drugs although to that extent, it's the reality that's happening with many gamblers. They are not able to check themselves out and that's why they're ending badly and does terrible things when they lose their money due to gambling addiction. But don't forget that not all gamblers are like that, there are still responsible ones that check themselves out once in a while.
569  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: September 27, 2023, 08:33:28 PM
In my country, it's about getting the job and not the salary if you're just a fresh graduate. You'll get more chance of being hired when you're a degree holder compared to those applicants who are not yet finished with their studies or haven't landed college studies.
While it's a good thing that you have other degrees that you have finished, there's always politics in the office. It's real and even if you've got the highest form of education, you'll just be beaten by those colleagues that are close to your superiors and this is happening everywhere not just in my country. Although there are companies that do appreciate your grit and educational attainment and will give you the right compensation, there are companies and HRs that like to lowball applicants. That's why IMHO, skills and attitude still beat these degrees whether you own more than 1.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 27, 2023, 08:15:35 PM
Yeah, there are still two more games in the bracket. We will know if Gilas will remain consistent. Actually, it's not necessary for them to win dominantly, as I don't expect that. A win is a win, so no matter how they win, it's already a success. As of now, I believe no sport that the Philippines is representing has won a gold medal. Hopefully, we will have one soon, as China is still dominating with a large number of medals.
Yup, as long as it's a win that's what matters. And looking at the stats in the Asian games, you're right, there's no gold yet while China is bagging most of it.

Coach Chot will probably learn from Coach Tim Cone if their journey here is successful. I'm wondering if we will face the same lineup from China in case Gilas has a chance to play against them.
They're good friends and worked together during the FIBA world cup so that's not going to be a problem with coach but, let's see how the coaching of Tim Cone will end for this Asiad.

I have seen this post that Kyt Jimenez of SMB has signed a contract already with the team. That's good news honestly because I've seen people commenting that he won't be with the team unless the team signs him up. So, with full-stack roster of SMB, the playing time won't matter to him anymore as long as he'll get paid but I am sure that it's still a dream of his to play with the team and contribute to them. It's a 2-year deal which is already a good start for him. While on the FiberXers, three rookies were also signed.
Good for Kyt if that news is for real then taking a 2-year deal will allow him to play and who knows what will be the next step for him, what is important is for him to play and have that chance to showcase his capabilities, we know that it's a different venue and the level of competition is really high for each rookies who will try their luck to continue playing with the team who draft them.

Looking to see if ever the combination of him and TR7 might work as both have a long time relation as training buddies.
It was real news and there were articles now. While we see him being signed, there have been a lot of draftees who are already in the free agency. LOL. PBA needs more teams to have these talents real contract.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: September 27, 2023, 07:58:52 PM
Budgeting and taking breaks during stressful gambling sessions is the key to having fun and not harming your mental health in the long run
And with that strategy of taking breaks, many gamblers forget to do that even if they follow and set the budget right. Once they're at it, it's hard to stop and that's making them hard to stop because when they start enjoying the game or start to focus on it, no one seems to stop them.
When the game is tough and it's just all about losses, you can't even stop them because they all have the same thing on their minds and that's to keep going and never stop at all. Until they recover losses, they are going to keep on chasing those losses until they will notice or when they don't have money left anymore to keep going. ANd that's why many gamblers are going far than they're expecting.
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 27, 2023, 07:37:02 PM
Just in… Giannis is getting himself some help. Woj is reporting that the Portland Trailblazers have agreed to trade Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks!!! I’m a bit shocked at this. Giannis made some waves hinting he was leaving and the Bucks stepped up. This is the best news of the offseason so far!!!

DAME to the Bucks!

Phoenix lost Ayton and got stuck with Grayson Allen… That hurts… Not sure why the Suns did this.
Truly shocking, this is fire. We get Giannis and Lillard on the Bucks. Hmmm, that's an interesting line up if we're going to look at it and Giannis wants out with the Bucks but this time if this tandem is good maybe he will change his mind. But as long as he's eligible to play for the Bucks, we gonna be sure that he'll definitely want to get Bucks the best that they can for this season.

I bet nobody is expecting this!
No one really. Even the headlines of the articles are saying this. LOL.
573  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Trading on: September 27, 2023, 01:20:15 PM
We're not forced to trade and whoever trades is doing it based on his own intellect. No one will stop you from trading and it doesn't matter to other people whether you're winning your trades or you're losing money because it's not our money in the first place. But the good side of this is you're learning more about the approach in the market. Trading isn't a game where you just bet your money and you're okay losing it. Most traders are serious folks that are targeting to grow their money but before that, there's a need to experience losing because you are not yet knowledgeable about it. And when you've learned from the losing experience, you'll have the understanding that it's not really at all. With that, you're going to have the thought whether to pursue it or stop it and just choose the easier part which is holding.

575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NANO and TRON Crypto - Free Transfers - Near Instant - Time To Buy on: September 27, 2023, 12:58:51 AM
It is good time to buy NANO and TRON Crypto and use them. They have free transfers, near instant.
You are right in nano, the transfer fee is free. But don't forget that there were some significant changes to its ticker.

Nano has rebranded to a new ticker XNO and symbol Ӿ.

For Tron, there is still a fee but that fee is very minimal so, it's not really hurting at all.

Plus TRON blockchain is used in Tether USDT transfers. So NANO and TRON value can go up with time.
It's true that TRC20 for USDT is being used by many and that's why it's kicking and alive but, just like the other networks when you're sending USDT, there's always the fee.
576  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Meron paba tayong miner dito? anu na pinagkakaabalahan ninyo sa crypto on: September 27, 2023, 12:44:49 AM
Utol ko matagal din nag Mine ng bitcoin and then nag convert sa altcoins back in the years , but now stopped already for couple of years now dahil medyo madugo talaga ang halaga ng kuryente sa pinas.

Source here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CxneSFzR0WX/

Grabe itong developing story!

578  Economy / Economics / Re: How to spend money determines whether you can avoid unnecessary problems on: September 26, 2023, 11:23:55 PM
I think that every person who earns an income should save. But when one's income increases, one stops saving and wants to buy the things one wants. He even wants to buy things he does not need and spend what he earns. The important point to be considered here is this. This spending should not continue continuously. In other words, even if he does not save for a while, he should continue to save again later.
We have to save even if you don't like the idea of saving that in the bank, you need to practice saving. It is not just all about saving money in the bank but the activity of saving is what you're embedding to yourself. But there must be a reason why you save. Either to buy something in the future but it's a low-key reason because many savers today are saving to invest.

or if you feel you are not comfortable depositing your extra funds in the bank, you can opt to buy tangible assets and will serve as investments. like precious metals, real-estate and other assets that you think of value and has the potential to further increase its market value.
Yeah, those are investments and assets that we can convert our money/cash into a better and more valuable thing. That's what it means about saving to invest.
You buy those things if you're able to buy them although real estate is really requiring higher capital for it, why not if you can afford it right? As long as you've got the capital to start with and that's what you have saved for. The value of it is increasing on a yearly basis as long as there's no bubble setup that's being done in your area.

In general, everyone needs to be cautious about spending. That is, we should organize our spending and avoid spending money on unnecessary things.
Making a list will help you determine your spending habits. Some expenditures may be unnecessary but you're not noticing it because you're just ignoring it. But when it's getting a larger part of your savings or salary, you'll be able to act on it and will stop that unnecessary spending habits.
580  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The role of political and religious leaders in the society. on: September 26, 2023, 10:25:32 PM
Although with the toughness of life these days, our country is a free country and we've got democracy in here. It just so happens that there a lot of corrupt politicians that are even being idolized by the masses. We have the separation of church and state but the politicians are also going with the religious leaders every time there's an election because of what they implement inside their churches and that's block voting.
What I just like is that our government respects each religions that are in our country but when there's something wrong that's being done by a church or a religious leader, they're scrutinized just like the hot issue that's happening here.
