561  Economy / Economics / Re: America's biggest vegetable growers fought for water, then the water ran out on: December 20, 2022, 02:11:08 PM
Quote

Late in the afternoon on November 14, a historic email landed in the inboxes of hundreds of California farmers whose land lies within the Westlands Water District, the largest agricultural irrigation agency in the country – and one of the most controversial.

For decades, Westlands has led the fight against environmental rules that restrict the flow of water from California's rivers to its farmers. It sued the government, lobbied friendly politicians,....

Its a long piece on declining water supply. People fighting over limited water, which may be becoming a deflationary resource. Which in turn leads to fewer crops being grown. Resulting in agricultural produce also becoming deflationary in supply.

Trends in previously abundant resources becoming scarce and deflationary in supply appears to be on the rise. Even basic resources like water are becoming more difficult to acquire. In part, I think this is due to growth of human population. The average person consumes a significant amount of water in washing, bathing and consumption. Multiplying consumption by population growth in specific regions, might naturally end in water scarcity.

When bitcoin was first making headlines, its deflationary design was questioned and criticized across the board. Now that basic necessities like water and food are becoming deflationary in supply. Might we finally witness an end to the inflation vs deflation debates? Could real life and exhibited effects of water scarcity, translate to digital assets like bitcoin? In terms of validity of design?

And while many have asked what the best method of investment is to generate profits in eras of inflation and recession. Perhaps in looming issues like water scarcity, we see a potential for alternate options such as desalination plants? Could desalination plants become worthwhile investments in eras of water scarcity, where water is becoming a deflationary resource? And could there be more entry level alternatives to investing in desalination plants that are available to investors who lack the deep pockets necessary to fund a desalination plant?

Not a good idea to use this as standard for Bitcoin deflationary feature. Unlike the water, Bitcoin deflationary feature benefit the Bitcoin currency and system with little to no disadvantages... While an inflationary Bitcoin would have lots of disadvantages and little/to no advantages.

In regards to the Deflationary water supply, that will be a good thing if water was specifically designed to be used as currency that serves as a proper SoV.
SoV should be one of the most important features of a proper money otherwise savers funds may end up being debased or render worthless like you see with most fiat currencies which is quite unfair for for savers who need to save money for long-term future use. The inflationary fiat currency is actually a gaint scam that steals away the value of people's savings. Bitcoin is a remedy for such scam with the use of deflation.

Like Bitcoin, the supply of Gold in the "Earth's System" is limited and hard to mine/extract. It would be like fiat currency if it was unlimited and easy to mine/extract.
562  Other / Off-topic / Re: How secure are you online? on: December 20, 2022, 11:05:37 AM
Simply stick to the "golden rule of love"... avoid breaking the rules and creating loopholes and you will be fine. Make sure you are sound in mind and have light in you to avoid stumbling blocks or traps

If you can strictly adhere to the above instructions, you will never need expensive/cheap man-made things to help secure you.
563  Other / Off-topic / Re: People at the top cant live normal life anymore on: December 20, 2022, 10:22:24 AM
They should be smart/intelligent enough to know how to live or survive without money assuming Riches = Higher Intelligence...or whether the amount of money/wealth people have determines their intelligence.
564  Economy / Economics / Re: ok guys. thinking caps on please on: December 19, 2022, 12:19:52 PM
A fair mechanism would be hardwork-based rewards. But it should be designed in such a way that once a problem is properly solved by anyone he/she is guaranteed reward. It's more like Bitcoin or gold Mining, with rewards hidden in puzzles that are automatically released once solved.
This would make the Bitcoin or Gold found in this manner a hard money/reward. And Hard Rather Than Easy Money is better for an economy as it takes hardwork to solve problems and create enough values. Hardwork = using enough time & energy to solve problems and create sufficient value.

I think whatever payment is made to a child should be inherited, so we don't run into the problem of children getting paid money printed out of nothing that probably will be use for only consumption without producing enough, thus increasing the prices of goods & services and creating inflation.

Money should be hard to create just like it's hard to create bitcoin. It should be reward for job well done, or for working & solving problems without creating more problems. This is suppose to be so because we all have roles to serve. And money should be given to those who are serving their roles well otherwise we would have the issue of people getting paid without serving their roles, and problems will pile up with no one or very few solving them due to lack of insensitive.

Some say let's just create the machines to solve the problems better/faster than humans & for humans, and we won't have the issues you described. Well, humans and the world aren't designed that way. That will be the end of the world. Look at what the over reliance on machines and computers have done to people so far. They are getting fat, finding it hard to solve simple problems, etc. It's seems the parts of the human bodies created for the roles machines/computers are taking over from are weakening, dying off or shutting down.
Hardwork is satisfying if the role is yours, the problem getting solved by you and you are getting rewarded
565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please provide feedback: How to break into Fiat medium of payment monopoly? on: December 16, 2022, 03:52:16 PM
You don't need to compete with fiat for customers. Simply build Circular or Interdependent Economy within the Bitcoin space by supporting & grooming independent businesses and people to create products and services they will exchange for Bitcoin, and possibly fiat/stablecoin acting as alternative currency within its economy.
I actually do not fancy the idea of crypto trying to reap where it didn't not sow by stealing or leeching customers off fiats. The relationship should be mutual or Bitcoin should completely create it's own Nation with Citizens that mainly depend on it for transactions in its economy like fiat currencies of other Nations do.. I think survival products and services like Mobile homes, foods, gadgets etc will do great in such economy. Let's stop pretending all is well  and start using Bitcoin for its true purpose : an alternative to survive a failing system.

This is a great opportunity for truly decentralized and independent systems like Bitcoin to build a thriving economy by attracting people within its system to create products and services and exchange for it native currency.

566  Other / Off-topic / Re: How big of a role does "hype" play in Cryptocurrency in your opinion? on: December 16, 2022, 10:02:39 AM
Hi everyone. I'm looking for a variety of perspectives on the concept of hype generation and its impact.

Furthermore, how have u learned from it? Would love to see difference in thought.

No better place to reach out to than to those who were around before the excitement for cryptocurrency kicked in.

I guess it's quite common with new projects or ideas. From my experience, hyped crypto projects/ideas for example tend go through temporal moment of increased interest and patronage from people but this falls massively, they vanish away or are forgotten when it's impossible for them to deliver, even if they do deliver it's typically below expectations.
It's alittle similar to how things are hyped in sci & tech world about things people expected will be in use soon...but very little to nothing comes out of them In the end

I just do not believe them until I go through the ideas/projects in detail. With my experience so far, I should be able to determine whether their claims are possible or not after thorough investigations.
567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the smart choice not the entire crypto industry on: December 15, 2022, 02:33:12 PM
Actually, we have two main Cryptocurrencies in Crypto Space/World: Bitcoin & the rest

Bitcoin does not seek to be a global currency or system. The main purpose for its existence is to serve as system to preserve values during a global chaos.
It will be one of most powerful antifragile systems ever built and will be use to preserve lives and other valuable in time global uncertainty/tyranny as it's built on a solid foundation.

Others, especially the scamcoins, will likely be adopted by tyrants, false messiah, dictators and slaves and be used as tools for persecution and global tyranny. So, people need to be extremely careful with the choice they make. Bitcoin Master has chosen Bitcoin and no one in the world or below can defeat it.
568  Other / Off-topic / Re: How is your relationship with your father? Is he a role model or a bad example? on: December 15, 2022, 09:42:19 AM
I later realized mine respected me a lot while I was growing up. He wanted me close to him but the relationship never worked because he wasn't my kind of person.
I later understood him really well as I discovered alot of his "personalities" in me. It seems I'm made to be a balance to the extreme personalities
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Bitcoin unit look like in real life on: December 14, 2022, 03:51:58 PM
You can simply use a decentralized/shared Public Record System (with inbuilt internal currency) that is in form of a numbered Book that started as Page One and continues to increase in number as more pages are added or stapled to it.
Once a transaction is made on a piece of paper by peers or two users, every participant checks to see that the users are actually sending values/currency that already exists in the book. If everything checks out, the participants photocopy the piece of paper and attach the original piece to the Public Book while having their own potocopies attached to their own copies of the public Book, using a stapler.

The shared Book or a Record System is a Blockchain which every participant has a copy of ...The pages are the blocks while The internal currency which is already predetermined and known by the public is the Bitcoin. You can use the smallest possible unit you want for the currency and maybe call it pitoshi instead of satoshi
570  Other / Off-topic / Re: Givers never lack on: December 14, 2022, 10:11:25 AM
Givers never lack- does this really sound real. Giving is sowing a seed that can come in another form anytime later

Ofcourse, if you are blessed with good things, accept gladly, develop/grow them to become useful products or fruitful... and allow those who need your products/fruits benefit from them, possibly without charge. A good person/society does not charge those who need the good fruits they produce but can't afford them... the reward he/she deserves for giving will always come back to the person/society in one way or another. It's important not to pile up the reward selfishly, instead use it for the good of others and you.

Don't forget that we should only give what we have, and not to the extent that we are unable to take care of your important and urgent needs.
Gift shouldn't necessarily be financial, you can be a solution to problems, give good knowledge, give good foods, good waters, good house, good means of transportations, etc. You are mainly doing this to be useful to society and keep things functioning properly. So it's possible and easy to achieve this without money. Money is overrated, and people have love it so much that they probably do not realize that your good contributions have equivalent value in money.

It's important to make sure those you give are using the gifts right.
571  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Afrocentric Bitcoin Exchange on: December 13, 2022, 10:55:20 AM
There's an African country with a huge demand for foreign currency that is failing to import goods and services due to the scarcity of foreign currency.

I've proposed a project that utilizes Bitcoin to the government through the ministry of finance and central bank to setup an business entity that purchases bitcoin using the local currency in order to make international payments for the country's import demand.

Are there any like-minded individuals/organizations I can work on this project?

Better to liase with countries that the country depends on for importation (esp cheap goods import) in order to trade currencies directly with them rather than doing this the way you proposed.
When the world's reserve currency goes up due to demand/supply, the country can use the currencies of other Nations she is importing from.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who are responsible for the bear run on: December 13, 2022, 09:44:44 AM
When people say that FTX was the worst thing that happened to crypto in the long time, maybe we should back up and get some perspective on that. Things were already messed up. As in comparison, total crypto marketcap was thriving during covid and recovered almost instantly to ATH after tesla dumped their crypto. But LUNA was the thing that broke everything. FTX was nothing compared to that.

....

I think you are beginning to notice the inconsistencies in their data concerning what is responsible. The truth is that the bull was completely in charge until it let the bear take charge for awhile. Now the bull is in charge again. Whatever the bear does won't have any effect, not even a car company dumping all its coins. The bull has all the power.
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is crypto staking? Is staking worth it? on: December 13, 2022, 09:17:15 AM
Your participation in staking is meaningless and fraudulent if you do not run full node and take part in full network consensus. This is one of the main reasons the so called PoS is a massive scam and crypto abomination.

With Proof of Work you can immediately start participating in full network consensus once you run your node. And you can start mining/earning with a mere laptop, but due to its competitive nature, you will probably need powerful device for your reward to be significant.

Alot do not realize that you can mine with a laptop. It may also be possible to still win massive reward while mining with just a laptop... But the chance of this happening is very slim.
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nobel prize for Satoshi. on: December 12, 2022, 05:43:00 PM
Depends on where it comes from. Expecting the "system" to give Nobel prize to Satoshi is like expecting rats to give awards to inventors of rat poison. They will think it will legitimize Satoshi idea/ideals which the system considers as dangerous. If it ever happens, it will likely be given to Fakesatoshis. Fakesatoshis = those whose Bitcoin/crypto ideals run contrary to real Satoshi's ideals

Recently, I have been watching religious films a lot, which in the films always contain touching messages and motivations. and now I need religious film recommendations from you..

I don't know of any unfortunately. But I will recommend listening to any full Audio of Christian Holy Bible. Listen to the audios almost feel like listening to movies/films.

Audio Bible YouTube Playlist:

One of my favorite in the Playlist that feels so much like movie is Acts (Book 44)
576  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Bank of Spain will launch an experimental wholesale CBDC market on: December 12, 2022, 10:52:25 AM
Well, experiment is better than gambling with the future of the country as it relates to the use of real CBDC... only fools are gamblers.
I hope the experiment is holistic and thorough without intentionally/unitentionally living out or ignoring the important/useful lessons learnt that could help in preventing lots of serious problems in the future. Atleast different countries could develop different CBDCs that are based on different safety standards rather than having a uniform one.
577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining project in Kenya helps power rural community on: December 09, 2022, 05:11:33 PM
So the company is basically going there to earn money, benefit the community and be profitable just as it's done in other part of the world.
Alot of articles like that are written in very cunning ways to make things look like the "messiahs" are going to such communities to save them from poverty, hunger, diseases, war, etc. If you investigate further you will probably discover the company went there to survive and benefit from cheap energy, labour, etc. "Poor" rural communities are typically self-reliant and don't usually ask for help unless there are crisis.

Hope the Bitcoin mining company is profitable (and responsible too) in places like that that do not have the typical cold weather you experience in parts of Europe,  Russia, etc. By the way, this will not cause the so called Climate Change or vaporize the environment... and as you can read they use renewable energy
578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin and Bitcoin Mining? on: December 09, 2022, 04:42:12 PM

What is Bitcoin mining? Bitcoin mining is the process of getting new Bitcoin. It also confirms the transactions in the network running in Bitcoin code and sync to all nodes on the chain. ‘Mining’ is performed on a computer for hash operations. The first computer to find the solution to complex math puzzles will get the right for the next block and this happens every 10 minutes. The ability to find the solution depends on the portion of the network’s total mining power.

Bitcoin Mining is simply a competitive method of solving puzzles/problems in Bitcoin network to win or earn reward in btc and the right to add Bitcoin transactions to its Blockchain

579  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people cheat in relationships?? on: December 09, 2022, 10:46:24 AM
The truth is that there is nothing binding both the boy and the girl as long as they are not married. This is why it's important to avoid boy friend and girl thing for serious relationship that leads to marriage. When you are married, you can now have the right to be angry at infidels. If you are angry while unmarried it makes you a hypocrite because you are actually cheating on your future spouse and violating the rules against sexual affairs outside marriage.

In continuation from my previous post quoted above:
...
Relationships such as sexual relationships outside of marriage like Fornication and Adultery actually breed insecurity in any society that allows or encourages them. A society is endowed with GOD-given or natural rules that act as Strong Boundary or Wall if fully obeyed. But once any part of the rule is broken, a section of the wall/boundary is broken or weakened and this makes the society vulnerable to attacks or invasion from foreign bodies. Breaking the natural rules create loopholes that can attract more of the "spiritual energy" or evil spirit that successfully caused the rule to be broken. For example, sexual affairs outside of marriage will typically attract Spirit of Lust/whoredom. That spirit will begin to corrupt and takeover the whole society like a gradual decay. And that will weaken the society and attract other kinds of spirits.

Fornication and adultery are serious problems that must be tackled for a society to be well shielded or protected from attacks and general insecurity. Those who promote or encourage them can be qualified as criminals because it's a crime to break the natural rules that keep a society secure. Violators should be constantly reminded to stop or be destroyed.
Obey the commandments and have faith in the CREATOR. and HE will help you do what is good or right always.

Anyone who understands why and how a society gets corrupted and sick can cure many diseases that afflict mankind. Cells in the body operate in similar manner, like micro societies or bodies. Once a cell violate it rules, the cell wall is weakened and harmful viruses/microbes successfully invade it.
Obey the good rules.

Maybe they run a model that guarantees anonymity/privacy for innocent mixers... And this is good Bitcoin ideal I cherish a lot. A moment of truth will come and when it does come nothing in this world or below can escape it, even if it's far greater than America's CIA.

The other mixer crossed a red line and was punished!
