5621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is running a full Bitcoin client worth it? on: September 12, 2016, 07:26:27 PM
If you're only looking for personal gains, it depends, but it more likely leans to the 'not worth it' side because of the considerations that you mentioned. However, it's not really that hard to set it up because once it's done, it's done.
5622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Food industry and cryptocurrency on: September 12, 2016, 07:11:40 PM
I don't think this will work out at all.
Besides the funny names, there's just too much cryptocoins needed to be managed if we're going to be having a farm. You won't really be able to see completely just how much capital you have, knowing that every food coin have different values in real money. It's an extra effort to try to compute just exactly how much you have.
5623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & the Banks on: September 12, 2016, 07:04:32 PM
You'll just be able to go to the bitcoin ATM on the corner, put in cash, and get bitcoins. Or, meet your local dealer f2f and pay cash.
Well you can already do both those things. Bitcoin ATM's are located all over the world and if you want f2f dealing, just go onto localbitcoins and find a seller near you.
Yeah that is true, but there is not that many in the country I live in as Bitcoin is not very popular here. I think that if the banks support Bitcoin, more people would also support it.

that is right because many people still fear bitcoin may be scam or some meaningless numbers on their screens and something like this can help it a lot.

but the problem with this, is that banks and bitcoin doesn't work well together. when you use bitcoin you don't need any bank you only need a wallet and you can be your own bank.
Jeez do you guys even know how much fees there is with the bitcoin atms right now?
It takes a good slash on your bitcoins wallet everytime you withdraw bitcoins from those ATMs. So right now, it's not really recommended and one of the reason that it's not yet very popular.
5624  Economy / Lending / Re: need 0.05 btc loan on: September 12, 2016, 06:38:34 PM
A full member is applying for loan without all required information?
I guess people are thinking loans are as free money and they just want to give it a try, when I am seeing this OP, I do not have any other thoughts. How serious he will be about this loan and the purpose of this loan.
5625  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a micro loan of 0.005, willing to repay 0.01 on: September 12, 2016, 04:26:04 PM
Hello ! I am buying bitcoin from coinbase and do not want to wait a week to receive them. I am looking for 0.005 bitcoin, and when my coin comes in from coinbase (should be a few days it says) I will repay 0.01 to my lender. The only collateral I have is this account, sorry I do not have anything else to offer. I will be using the coins to do some small scale P2P short term lending. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

The only thing that comes to my mind after looking at 2x repayment of original amount is that you will gamble the money and you are quite optimistic that you will win it. Please make sure you either close this request or give some valid collateral else you might get red trust.
5626  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BTC-X.IS | Exchange:USD,EUR,CNY with Bitcoin.Instant withdraw on: September 11, 2016, 08:57:32 PM
Are you still running the promotion of 2 USD for a new sign up.
I like to have an account with your exchange services, but your registration process is asking my email and phone number, no possibilities to have an anonymous account with you ?
5627  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: DTMF.io: an anonymous phone number in your browser on: September 11, 2016, 08:27:18 PM
Most needed services. I guess very much new of this kind with a site for bitcoin payments. Good luck.

How often you do get new numbers. This is the big concern for me now before trying your service.

Will you be ready to refund or provide me another number if the number I am going to rent, had got used for same type of service many times before and I will not be able to use for my turn.
5628  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of trustworthy gambling sites on: September 10, 2016, 08:29:08 PM
Why Bitsler is not listed on dicesites.com? it's not trustworthy?
also i have played on most of dice sites and I'm in profit in all of them except bitsler (not much profit.. but at least no loss) maybe I'm having bad runs always on bitsler? the losing streak is very weird on bitsler.. please correct me if Im wrong
Had no issues with Bitsler before when I used them. Although I only played for a short time.
I usually play with satoshimine only since it's the only one I really trust because it's been up and running for over 3 years now.
5629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can i start a btc dice site with 30btc? on: September 10, 2016, 07:53:16 PM
I think so 30btc is nice amount to get started for new dice site, mostly it depends on maximum profit and what the bankroll you will be offering there, so if you have interesting script for dice game than it would nice to run this business and surely you will catch attention from players with unique script.
Right, and what I have seen from my personal experience that hardly even 5 bets are made that claim the maximum bet amounts so why worry about that ? Most of the gamblers are small and will bet with 0.01 or 0.1 so I will always focus more on building the site with more features and spending an extra bitcoins for just features.
5630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a gift for a baby? on: September 08, 2016, 08:26:45 PM
Ooh, a USB copy - I hadn't thought of that!  I guess USB drives can deteriorate over time though, and who knows how storage tech will progress.  Everything I considered important in my youth is trapped on floppy disks that I'll never access again  Cheesy  It's worth considering though.

As far as I know there is only one vanitygenerator and you should have a good cpu/gpu to get faster the vanityaddress (with 4-5 characters as prefix mostly) but also people are offering a part private key for your vanity address which sometimes can be free sometimes cost a little bit.

I've used Vanitygen a couple of times now and my CPU can generate an address from a 4-digit prefix in a few seconds, still well under a minute for 5-digits.  I've also practised generating a paper wallet offline.

Obviously I'd love it to be worth a lot more by the time she opens it, but my main concern is that I don't want it to turn out to be a worthless piece of paper Tongue  Ideally it will be a nice little egg for her and spark an interest in cryptography at the same time.
Wouldn't recommend a usb copy since I've already owned multiple usb's from multiple brands and I can't say which among which have lasted me the most. I've only gone with as far as 4 years although that's under continuous use (about 1-3 times a week) from all clean pc's, office and mine (pretty sure mine is clean indeed).
5631  Economy / Services / Re: Service for open lost password bitcoin wallets(wallet.dat) on: September 05, 2016, 07:04:41 PM
Brute forcing up to 12 symbols or less, in a 1- 6 days?? No way man
What compute power you would need to have to manage that is just no believable at all, also 50% fee is also not in way to strange to anyone trust you
Someone could sent you 0.001 BTC wallet would you burn xxxxx KW of power to brute his password? or someone with 1000+ BTC for same job?
Yes, highly impossible to crack a 12 char length passwords within a week.

Moreover OP runs a ponzi in games and rounds section, please check here. It seems this may be his another similar attempt.

I guess we can ask him to prove himself by cracking a password of a zero balance wallet file, still his previous activities not worth it, I feel.

5632  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginners guide to trading BTC? on: September 05, 2016, 06:50:16 PM
It's better if you do some research first before choosing and buying coins because if you are greedy and all you do is to random pick and spend all your bitcoin it can result for losing money which is a bad scenario to happen. Do research first about the coin that you want to buy if it has a good road map.
Yes without proper research if you are taking any step in trading or for any kind of investment you’re just risking your hard earned money. According to me if you are not sure about the result you must wait but do not take any step in hurry because it can result to a big loss.
5633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Traditional Gambling or Online Gambling? What's yours? on: August 30, 2016, 08:28:43 PM
iam preferd online gambling
Traditional/Physical gambling is actually much exciting than online gambling because you're actually there to see and anticipate whether you win or not. Believe me, the adrenaline rush is much greater seeing it in person than just on a screen, with simple mouse clicks.

Well, that's talking from a personal perspective but of course, it can always vary from person to person.
5634  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Cex.io a legit exchange service? on: August 20, 2016, 01:29:40 PM
They've closed mining, but I assume you're using Cex for just trading. Yes, they're 'legit' for now, but this may change in the future. Never trust exchanges, and move your bitcoins off them asap.

You've seen Bitfinex and Mt.Gox already, there's been plenty of warning that things like this can and will happen.
5635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: August 20, 2016, 10:37:22 AM
I don’t think letting people earn bitcoin by playing Pokemon Go is a good idea because this game is meant to be fun and entertaining, and if we let bitcoin involved in this game, it won’t simply be a game anymore and people will see it as a place to earn money and when that happens, what’s the real point of playing this.
Pokemon Go’s aim is to make players have to stand up and go around to catch pokemons so if you buy some rare pokemons on the online marketplace, why do you even play this game for? It tents to be fun, don’t turn it into something that deals with money.
5636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what are the trusted list of bitcoin wallet and site? on: August 20, 2016, 07:03:15 AM
i think blockchain most trusted wallet so far, because You have full access to the private key. You can backup and store in the safest place, and don't worry lost your bitcoin.

Never risk a lot of money ever by storing it to somewhere on the internet though how safe they are or looks to be, but they still always has the chance to get hacked or your coins to get stolen by a hacker or someone, so it is always better to just keep them with you in your hardware to feel safer.

yes i know but op asking bitcoin wallet and site, if doesn't have many bitcoins, i think online wallet is enough.
Blockchain is a good enough site for starters but if you're going to be starting to have huge amounts of coins, online wallets will not really serve the of online  wallet's purpose like security anymore. Maybe desktop wallet or an offline wallet would be a better choice.
5637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: August 20, 2016, 05:50:42 AM
yeah, holding is always the best selection to do, in this way you can keep your bitcoins safe and make money over time

Yes, I think this way is a safe way to earn money. Although there is less time consuming is not like trading, but holding bitcoin not too have a big risk. Because I think there is no investment without risk. But with the knowledge of bitcoin we can minimize the risks. hehe

There really isn't a 'safe' nor 'best' answer to invest your bitcoin because generally, everything has it's own risk. It's all just about which of the risks you are willing to take.
Don't trust me on my word, but I invested mine in trading and so far, it has only gone me good. For others however, it hasn't.
5638  Economy / Speculation / Re: This price (~$575) is normal and good, and here's why... on: August 19, 2016, 07:18:45 PM
I was one of the ones that believed that the bitcoin halving meant nothing with the price. Price of bitcoin is not exactly connected with bitcoin miners, there are other people who own bitcoin by other means of mining, yes miners wants the price to be a lot higher because it is now harder to mine bitcoins, 100% harder to be precise.

That doesn’t mean that getting bitcoins is harder for other people tough. We still either earn it or buy it. Only miners are having trouble. So people who wanted higher price were two fold , miners and speculators , when speculators left , miners couldn’t hold the price. Simple as that.
5639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Megaupload + Bitcoins on: August 19, 2016, 07:02:55 PM
I trust the guy for his current reputation. With that, I believe he will prove his words aren't just words.

He has hyped bitcoin quite a lot and I don't want to see his reputation be shattered for not keeping his word. This would prove a great opportunity for bitcoin users and mega users as well although it may pose quite a problem especially when the files being uploaded/downloaded are illegal.
5640  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Panning to Invest in Genesis Mining, What You Say? on: August 19, 2016, 06:17:25 PM
Not sure about it, since they seem to have quite a reputation for having to answer everyone's question whenever you contact them. I've always seen their advertisement on facebook and I checked their page as well and they seem to be having some quite of a problem, judging from what I see in the comments.
