I think all of us should just go to Vegas for a week, get drunk, party, gamble, and settle all these differences of opinions in person. It would be fun. I'll room with LampChop.

Sos no room, lamp chop has to book a whole floor suite for all his sock accounts.

Short term predictions:

Full retrace from that dump, I think we will probably go to $280 and then dip to around $260ish again before an assault on $300. My 2 bitcents.

You all realise that the whole China waking up thing doesn't hold water. A huge range of people trade on the Chinese exchanges. Apparently most of their clients are in Denmark.
584  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 04, 2015, 10:59:04 PM
you guys are pretty full of shit acting like there is support and resistance here

Where did that ask wall at around 272 on bitstamp go? was it bought? no it was dropped because we go wherever the market makers want us to go.

Shorts just shy of 19k on finex. Nothing organic about that selling..

20k volume during the dump and 2k shorts opened. Might wanna rethink that statement.

a primary school presentation atm (no offence)

It is confirmed that at least 150,000 XMR is net bought by the ones who heard the approx 60 seconds of my talk. So yes, just imagine what would have happened if it were slick....  Shocked

Indeed, get on it capn' Wink

That was interesting to flick through. I'd deffo offer David or someone else with the skills to spruce it up for you though. Will be worth it. Looks like a primary school presentation atm (no offence)

588  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: March 04, 2015, 07:53:47 PM
I am so going down, when bitcoin went up from $233 to $257 last to last week I made quite some profit closing my long position and then I did a huge mistake to think that $255 was the highest and I expected it to go down from here was fool enough to put everything in it, opened short position on $250, since then I saw few ups and down and at one point it even went down to $242 but I didn't close the position, became greedy  Grin.
And now here I am looking at over $500 loss on my short position although I am happy that bitcoin is rising (don't get me wrong fellas) but I know I ain't having any fun.

So, the question is how long I can hold on to this short position because I still don't want to loose hope of bitcoin going down from here but my worry is what if Bitfinex decided to close my position because I hold them for long? is that possible, I didn't bought these swaps myself, I let system choose best offer for me, are they for 30 days or there is no limit ?

Once your swaps run out new ones will be opened automatically. The only time the platform closes your position is if you reach the liquidation price and get margin called.

.618 fib would make sense, IF we weren't headed to 32,000$, no time to waste, fuck these "pull backs"  Cool

jokes aside, i'm really hoping we can steam pass 300 b4 some bear whale takes a massive dump

There is absolutely no chance of us steaming past $300, the traders will dump ~$300, most people I speak to have $305 targets. The question is how quick and how deep the retrace will be and how many shorts can we open before going back up.
590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 04, 2015, 05:13:30 PM

On top of everything else, the coin is oversold.

That very much depends on what time frame your looking at and also what indicator you are looking at.

I like how everybody disregarded that 50000 BTC auction that is about to happen in approximately 48 hours.

isnt it on the 9th?

you would think its obvious that second market is going to buy up the lot if possible..

Exactly, and if they do win I expect Barry to say so.

is this the last batch to be auctioned off? if so, id also expect them to announce that they payed way over market price for them.. 1) because we are in the middle of bull run 2) btc will sky rocket so when they launch trading on their new pink sheets exchange, they will get way more for the bitcoins.. easy money..

There's another 44k isn't there?

I expect when that is sold there will be demand from the losing bidders. Some might not even wait that long and buy immediately after this coming auction.

how pissed will the US gov be if they sell off their tons of btc and bitcoin rallies 10 fold straight away after lol

Isn't that the whole thing we've been trying to do ?! Crash it to the ground, buy their coins for peanuts. Go back up. Simples

244.44 BTC on BFX @ 0.012222 = 20,000 DRK

The dollars on BFX I'm presently using to trade BTCUSD with, so this wall is now an invisible one in that I will support the price still at $3 if needs be, but I don't think that an actual wall is needed there atm.

While I respect your support for your chosen coin the idea of having ~400btc on an exchange scares the living shite out of me. Particulary Craptsy. Fair enough and if your willing to take that risk Im sure you have many more coins but trusting 100k to some random guys, jheeze not for me.

Yes, you have a very good point, after nearly loosing 100 BTC worth of CYN on BTer recently & quite a bit on MintPal this has been much on my mind, I may well move towards just keeping a wall up on BFX and letting the markets arbitrage out any swings on other exchanges.

Thing is you can always transfer btc to an exchange if the price goes to where your buying anyway. The only time you may not have a chance is if somone was to dump a huge amount of coin. Im fairly sure that if someone wanted to dump that much coin in one go they would know your a buyer at around these prices and approach you to do an otc deal. You can still announce your buying points etc. Just such a large risk to take with little personal reward.

Take a look at some pie charts I made. I had to convert 200+ currency supplies to USD manually to make them...

yeah that sounds about right ballpark wise ... about 10k a year maintenance ... i'd be on year long summer vacation where winter doesn't happen Tongue ... what sort of mad man owns a yacht where it's cold ? ? ?

South Wales  Tongue

30% USD interest rates on bitfinex

come on bears upload that USD and make free money!

The interest rate tells you a lot about the sentiment. The lending rate going up means that bears who previously wanted USD gains are instead buying coins with their money.
599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 02, 2015, 10:11:59 PM

ehhh i figure 1/4 million can buy me a decent 50 footer ... most people would consider that a yacht and not a simple boat ... some may argue only 100 foot + counts as a true luxury yacht ...

You've definately never owned a boat before if your not factoring the astronomical running costs that come with it. Quater mil may by you a 50footer but your gonna need 20-30k minimum a year to run it.

BCX finally dumped his half his XMR.  That removes a lot of overhang.  Sweet.
FTFY
If it was him I'd rather he dumped the whole thing. Selling half leaves two options. Either the bids build back up and we get another 50k dump or we still have a nefarious charachter with a sizable chunk of XMR.

He put a 25k wall @ 15, which was eaten, and then another wall appeared swiftly. I'd say that 100k of the vid is absorbed.

What's BCX nick in de polo trollbox after he had to switch accounts because of the ddos?

Way to presume stuff to suit your own narrative. Not saying its not true but for all you know whoever had the wall at 0.0015 could have bought his own wall. You just never know.
