581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Effects of BCSV, good or bad ? on: April 21, 2019, 01:58:11 PM
It was funny to watch those ABC SV hash wars since Roger Ver tried to take bitcoin users away from the original chain into BCH and a similar thing ended up happening to him.  Being removed from Binance is a big blow to SV but they are still a top 20 coin.
582  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get involved? on: April 21, 2019, 01:51:51 PM
Welcome to the forum! Trading sounds very lucrative ("I just have to sell higher than I bought" - the younger me) but its a very tough business. There are plenty of guides in the forum stressing out how important it is to control your emotions during trades, if you have this skill akready you dont need any technical skills to be successful.

I was one of those people at the start that thought it was going to be easy money. Smiley I was sorely mistaken, most traders end up failing while the exchanges are the only ones that pull in consistent profits.  Remember that every time you sell someone else is buying, so your gain might be someones loss.
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Suddenly disappearing token on: April 21, 2019, 01:48:03 PM
Coins and tokens get de-listed all the time, even big projects like bitcoin SV got taken off Binance.  I'm not a SV supporter but if a coin that large can be removed from a big exchange these small token projects do not stand a chance so keep that in mind.
584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: April 20, 2019, 03:45:55 PM
Most of the people states that gambling is form of entertainment but the reality is different gambling is like business where people look to make more money from investing little money but most of them will get failed.

So in your view gambling is business or entertainment, answer honestly. Cheesy
Its business and entertainment both. Depends on what perspective you are looking on. If you look through the casinos perspective, then it's all business and nothing else. If you look through regular player perspective, then it's all fun for most of us. But, yeah, there are people out there who takes gambling very seriously!

Everything a casino does is to bring in more profit. They are never trying to help you so don't fall for free spins, comped rooms or any of those flashy bright lights.  Just like in the movie casino, they say they are out to extract every last dollar from your pocket.  Every business is like this though Wink  I'm still fine with the gambling industry if people are out to enjoy themselves and don't go overboard.
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Antminer S17 Pro: Is it worth buying? on: April 20, 2019, 03:35:55 PM
What they are saying is that Asic miners will have very little resale value compared to GPUs. ASICS are made for one thing while GPUS are used by gamers/ miners/ animators.  Buying gpus is a lot less risky because the demand is much higher.
586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your favorite kind of lottery? on: April 20, 2019, 03:30:24 PM
In my country i never see yet, about passive lottery that we only buy ticket and wait for announced. But sometime i do buy number and it announce everyday. Actually when win, it is my money that loss in past and no profit  Grin.

Most of the lottery in my countries are passive too and i doubt if they announce a real winner or a dummy winner  Undecided Indeed its hard to win.

Active lottery are most available in gambling casino although i am not interested in them as the chances of win is very very less.

I sound like a conspiracy whack but I don't think government run lotteries are legit.  They pick out the winners they want, anyone buying those tickets is just willingly giving their money away to fund war and other bad practices.
587  Economy / Economics / Re: The Great View of History on: April 20, 2019, 03:22:08 PM
A certain system looks good on paper until you throw humans into the mix.  And to make matters worse the humans in power tend to be the most corrupt and ruthless.  Greed and power lust makes any type of system corrupted from its original plan.
588  Economy / Economics / Re: The Blockchain technologies on: April 20, 2019, 03:15:25 PM
Most of this stuff is just pure hype but serves no real purpose.  Blockchain is useful for censorship resistance but not much else.  It is slower than a centralized database so this makes most of what these ICOs doing a downgrade and not an upgrade.
589  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Advice] Don't associate yourself with projects you're not a team member. on: April 18, 2019, 03:54:52 PM
They do that because they are paid to.

And paid with tokens, which nobody knows how much they are worth. That's very crazy.

But I have seen many users saying they earned hundreds or even thousands of dollars in a few months/weeks in those campaigns. If you take a look on Reddit you can see a lot of paid users chilling new tokens in ethtrader, cryptocurrency and other popular subreddits

Its high risk high reward, some of these projects go to the moon.  People called bitcoin investors crazy when it was under $1, same thing applies.  Its like being paid in company stock vs being paid at cash at a startup.
590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum speculation on: April 18, 2019, 03:39:51 PM
But I feel very uneasy about this growth. Although there is no sign of going down yet, I believe its price will fall again.
The price of ETH will definitely fall at $ 150 - 155. That will be a good price for you to buy more. Or you can buy 25% of your money at $ 170 price and place buy orders at lower prices.
the possibility to go down to the price you say is still there. but looking at the current trend I think we better focus on growth and still prepare capital to repurchase when there is a decline. but I do not expect a decline like you say.

The problem with making those assumptions is that you may be left behind when the bull run takes off because you got too greedy trying to buy in cheap.  $170 is a very low price compared to the all time high which leaves a lot of room for growth.  Eth was replaced in the #2 spot with ripple but that was short lived as ethereum has much higher use and daily volume.
591  Economy / Economics / Re: Barclays: ‘Facebook Coin’ to bring in $19 billion by 2021 on: April 18, 2019, 03:33:01 PM
now i buying facebook stock. but how do we get this facebook coin when?  Frankly, I don't trust Mark Zuckerberg.  how can I trust a person who sells people's data? they will inflate the price of facebookcoin themselves.  The goal is to collect all people's money...

Buying the Facebook stock may not be a wise decision now. I will tell you what I think. Facebook has reached its saturation point and many of its users are shifting to other channels such as Reddit and Insta. I am afraid that FB will eventually end up like Orkut.

Facebook owns Instagram and they end up buying any other platform that threatens their dominance.  Facebook has become too powerful and can be considered a monopoly.

I have gotten sick of Reddit because of the over censorship and the paid trolls that have infested that platform.
592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the Veil Project Mining- Privacy without Compromise on: April 18, 2019, 03:26:30 PM
This project has a lot of shills on this forum, I would be very careful.  Reminds me of all those deeponion shills that were used to create a big pump and dump.  I wouldn't put any considerable amount into this project.
593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shower thought. Why is Bitcoin hard to define? on: April 18, 2019, 03:17:50 PM
I've explained bitcoin to many people and they usually have a hard time trying to understand how bitcoins are generated with math and electricity.  People assume it is easy money to mine bitcoins without knowing how massive the hashrate  of the network is.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Speculators..🚀COINMARKETCAP mobile APP🚀 is LIVE!!!!!!! on: April 17, 2019, 01:13:56 PM
I agree with mindrust, avoid using Coinmarketcap at all costs as they have been shown to show fake volumes.  They are not to be trusted when there are much better options out there.  CMC is just another sketchy business doing anything for more visitors and ad revenue.
595  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Factors to consider before joining paid signature campaigns. on: April 17, 2019, 01:05:56 PM
Most particpants do not care what they are advertise for as long as they get paid.  Many are wearing gambling signatures but do not gamble themselves.  There are a lot of desperate people here, you can see that whenever a new campaign opens it has many times more participants than open slots.
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A beginner's guide to esports betting on: April 17, 2019, 12:51:23 PM
E-sport games will be a lot easier to rig and I will never touch those games.  It may become as big as sports betting someday since video games are the new hobby that you can do anywhere. I'm not a big gamer myself, I think people waste too much of their lives on games with no purpose, its fine for a side hobby but many people take it too far playing all day.
597  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is “sportsbet.io” a fraudulent website? on: April 17, 2019, 12:43:00 PM
I've used sportsbet.io a good amount of times and never had any issues.  Fast transactions, good customer service, large variety of games, and a fast website.  No matter how good the exchange or casino is there will always be a few unhappy customers, that is just the cost of doing business.  A lot of customers demand instant service for everything but realize they are dealing with so many people and only have so many resources.
598  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be rich..! on: April 17, 2019, 12:37:13 PM
It is rightly said that to become rich in the first place you must intelligently manage your time and resources, but not everyone has the opportunity to be smart for a living, sometimes this can be solved by hard work.
Being smart is not that necessary, as long as you are doing the right things you can still become rich. But most of the time, hard work is really not enough to make you rich especially if you are a farmer because of greedy landowner even if you plant the rice, someone will take advantage your weakness. Be wise for every decision, and do hard work on that so your ideas will work well that can lift you up in the future.

Ownership is how you become wealthy.  You won't really achieve much just from being paid from working.  You need money making more money.  A lot of people believe you get what you work for but it couldn't be farther from the truth, you have to truly understand how capitalism works and where the wealth flows to.
599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trader Brutally Tortured on: April 17, 2019, 12:31:07 PM
This is really bad. I advise if you have much bitcoin dont ever say in it public

No one is stupid enough to say that they own a certain number of Bitcoins in the public. But the tax regulations and laws in certain countries requires you to divulge about your crypto holdings to the authorities. And once your information is loaded to the public servers, normally it won't take much time for that data to end up in the hands of shady people.

Quite the opposite, there are a ton of public crypto figures that are boasting about their wealth.  Same thing goes for anyone rich, people love to show off.  The chance of getting physically tortured is still very small but people like to make it seem more likely than it really is.
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: THE TRUTH on: April 17, 2019, 12:26:22 PM
some people think the world resumes to their own head...
How many huge mines are located in Europe? in US? in places where energy costs are high?? Are the large mining facilities in Europe loosing money?? NO, they have renewable energy!!  Grin
And besides, if you have a decent mining strategy, even paying for high electricity costs, you can easily make money... maybe not so much as before, but nice money, even compared with the high US and European standards... Just have to do a lot of research and think it smart... (I know a few of those examples)

Have you ever heard about mafia in europe and other countries? That is your answer.

There is so much corruption, they are making backroom deals with the government and getting extremely cheap power and other incentives.  The big boys are using so much power they can call the shots and your average hobby miner will never compete with them.
