581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 13, 2024, 11:07:31 PM
That Depay goal kind of reminded me of the Ramos days when he was at Real Madrid after Athletico was denied the golden ticket when he got a late equaliser to force the match to go into overtime, and I guess the team was told not to giveup after that lesson and they went all the way and I myself wrote these guys off as I thought Inter Milan would be too good for the Spanish side putting into consideration the experience the have, and the lack of form... otherwise congratulations to you LADS!!!

Looking at the teams progressing, what are the possibilities of having an all Spanish final

PSV showed some heart last time out in the 1st leg and thought it would be the same story traveling to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund, but guess what...BVB had other ideas and they have turned up to spoil the PSV party and look very dangerous tonight whenever they attack ,and already got rewarded with a beautiful Sancho goal...and if PSV don't change tactics in the second half this could see another goal for them as they have been creating several chances...

My inplay prediction Borussia Dortmund 2-0 PSV

1-1 at HT between Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid
I wrote Atletico Madrid off, but good to see them bringing the fight to inter...hope they can pull a surprise result  Tongue
583  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are people getting scared to Trade on: March 13, 2024, 06:27:32 PM
The reason why you don’t see many people venturing into trading most especially the future trading is the fact that it actually needs two things. One is the substantial knowledge on technical analysis and fundamental analysis, and the other is capital.
If you are trading your personal account and not confident about your strategy, then it's a wise choice to stay away from the markets!!!

But as for capital , well let's just say we have a lot of companies out there called "prop firms" and are ready to provide traders with this capital provided they can prove their skill through some kind of evaluation test, and once you pass you get to share the profits with the firm without you as the trader risking your personal money..it's a win-win.

Trading is regarded as gambling by some and for you to earn from it you have to have your own capital to start off.
Having the capital isn't equivalent to success, you need to have the skill to trade and without it it will certainly be called gambling!!!

Friendly Advice: If people really want to trade, let's seek to have the knowledge and tools to give ourselves a winning chance!!

Sorry about your loss mate !!

Unfortunately when it comes to being a victim of phishing your best option is the platform's support when all this was happening in real time and once this window closes coins are gone for sure  Cry, otherwise going forward the best option is to employ better security measures to your accounts, and just incase you reuse passwords to other platforms, you could consider changing passwords!!

And for goodness sake, in the year 2024 if support really is support access to information about you will always be available to them from the backend and not you giving it to them by request..let's get ahead of these scammers by being cyber smart... again sorry for your loss OP.

This Arsenal - Porto game was one explosive one and match isn't even over yet, and with every second that goes close to a penalty shootout...it means chances of progression lean towards the 50-50 chance and  both teams have thrown all they can at the game but I fancy Porto the underdog to go through because they were technically excellent in both legs...but let's see what happens here Wink

Btw, @buwaytress when it comes to grading pool B results does extra time count or game is over after the two halves are played in 90mins Huh

Porto are really playing this game like a team with a plan, and the good part about their approach is that they aren't defending with the park the bus style, but attacking to defend!!! If this game keeps going like this ,I sense a possibility of Arsenal being eliminated sorry Arsenal fans  Tongue...not to get ahead of myself this is high scoring Arsenal we talking about maybe they might just do this on their home turf Smiley

Btw, that handicap answer not going to happen with the Porto approach am seeing!!

Napoli all the way! Barca will probably win this tie, they actually have a better track record away this season than at home, suppose not all teams find their own support comforting... *cough cough United. So therein lies my hope.

Odds are somewhat suggesting this will end as a FT draw, in which case I think the Italians have a better chance at holding their nerve in ET and smack the pens in.
Don't know about their home advantage, but if am to base my prediction based on how they played in the first leg.. Barcelona will certainly be favourites to win this match and with the 12 player on their side I don't see it's supporters turning their backs on their team...it's the champions league we talking about!!! Only problem about this game is that first leg was a draw and 2nd leg wouldn't be any different as this looks like one of those games that could be a boredraw but will lean on Barca going through...

Just to mention to everyone, I'm still not sure how the Final 2 matchdays will look like -- but I think I will put Pot B submissions slightly different, featuring 1x2 markets for the first leg games, and different markets for the 2nd leg+ final games.
Love the idea of different markets, hope we shall have some monster odds for the second leg to try play catch up with the top guys...

Ideas on my mind
  • double bets maybe
  • HT-FT
  • Win 1st Half or Win 2nd Half

**Top Guys not happy with this development, I come in peace**
588  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: March 11, 2024, 09:17:09 PM
We have seen Bitcoin reach 70k USD and it even reached a point of 71k briefly. We are seeing history being made right here with the new all time high being set once again and it is happening even before halving.
Price now playing above $72K and now everyone that was watching from a distance will be interested to buy.. which could actually trigger panic buying as everyone likes to see an open road to see where they are going with such an investment!!

I guess we really needed the Spot ETF approval to happen, which has brought some  serious momentum into the markets, despite a slow start which saw price dipping slightly...

I have high expectations that bitcoin will reach 100k but will it reach 100k without any major decline in price? Does it seem realistic that from 70k, bitcoin will continuously rise up?
Unless we have some old time whales that haven't sold yet and plan on selling a tonne of coins around this price , otherwise the bullish pressure is overwhelming to entertain a decline in price even after a major sell.
589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 11, 2024, 06:41:00 PM
Since people know Arsenal as a strong team in this season, I believe victory is sure for Arsenal to achieve  from Porto that will make others team to be afraid of them in this season because, they embraced new opportunity to take the first position from Liverpool in the premier league table and it will give them more strength to face Porto to disgrace them with many goals in this meeting.
The champions league is a whole different ball game, and no team should be written off!!!

Let's not forget that not too long ago in the first leg , we all thought it would be a walk in the park for high scoring Arsenal but instead not only did they lose this match but failed to score... meaning if Porto defend like they did, then they could actually knockout the EPL leaders out of this competition and it's very much possible!!

And analysing this must win game for Arsenal, am thinking these guys will leave a lot of room at the back meaning a simple counter will allow Porto to put this  game to bed early and it won't be a pretty sight.

Atletico Madrid coach have to wake up from sleep to do what will make his players to return back to their good performance, so that people will begin to believe in them in this UEFA champions league and predict for their favour.

Too late for that, Atletico Madrid seems to have lost their form and this fixture will not do them any good...I see them packing their bags for sure!!!

591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake loses $615k bet on Joshua-Ngannou bout on: March 11, 2024, 12:53:18 PM
Drake thought Francis Ngannou would win but Anthony Joshua knocked out Ngannou in the second round of the match of the heavyweight showdown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Drake lost $615000.

https://www.thecable.ng/drake-loses-615k-bet-on-joshua-ngannous-bout/amp?/drake-loses-615k-bet-on-joshua-ngannous-bout
If you are going to bet, don't bet based on emotions or certain attachments!

Something I have noticed about drake is the tendency to back his friends or people he relates to...saw this trend with the style bender and if he continues on this path then his likely to lose even more money than his already done!

Piece of advice, don't use emotions in this industry...If you feel your buddy isn't good enough for the match do bet against them just don't tell them about the wager as you might lose a friend...
592  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take Profits! Its important! on: March 10, 2024, 08:06:23 PM
When we are at Extreme Greed you need to be taking some profit off the table. Most people in crypto fail to keep the money they've made. They either sell too late or they selfishly watch all profits fall back to zero.
I don't think this theory of selling whenever a profit is available is practical for everyone because people own crypto for different reasons, say for example inheritance for their kids or family, or use it as a way to counter inflation or probably og believer of cryptocurrencies...

This whole notion of getting profits out aren't for everyone unfortunately,if you can do do and if you can't keep holding.

I've seen this happening each cycle.

We all need to understand that 1st priority in crypto is surviving. Profits are in 2nd place. Yes that sounds counterintuitive, but it's really simple. The real skill is not in making money. The real skill is in keeping it.

I hope you found this useful. Keep up the flow, and may the force be with you.
I guess this message fits in well for traders such as those involved in leveraged trading, or charting and I agree with this.
593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: March 10, 2024, 02:40:29 PM
Aston Villa is putting on a very poor performance right now , especially that they are playing from Villa Park I really expected goals from both sides, but unfortunately it's a one sided affair in favour  of  Tottenham and the red card could have made things even tougher for a team I considered to be in very good form of late!! Btw, does Aston Villa even have any shot on target, ouch it's that bad!!!

It was relieving for me to see Salah entering Liverpool's last match in the second half.  Smiley  Because I'm a Liverpool fan today.  Cool  This is a very crucial match to make a big impact on the championship. I hope to see the champion being Liverpool or Arsenal this season.
Manchester City disagrees!!! The lads in the city camp are very much hungry to collect another title to their name as they play catch up in terms of number of titles got by all EPL teams...

And that Liverpool City game, let's not run away from the inevitable...City are winning this game no doubt  Roll Eyes

Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ?  Is there chance of major correction from here as prices have already peaked now.
Investors will never take the risk of investing in crypto when risk is high such as legality is in question, or if security of coins has to be undertaken by them which was a big ask...but with spot ETF's these remove the risk of losing Bitcoin if a hack was to happen and for price to soar and break the ATH, institutional investors we a must have in the picture and they are very much in it at the right time as potential of price to go up is still high.
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 09, 2024, 06:27:43 PM
High flying Arsenal seem to be finding it difficult to break down the bees 🐝 atm and playing at the Emirates stadium didn't see Brentford getting a goal here tbh, but first half its 1-1 a result many might  have not expected and with the second half coming am expecting the Gunners to come guns blazing... almost forgot these guys have champions league duty next week and am guessing this is the reason for the reserved  game play because  they will try to reserve their top guys for next week and Arteta will soon be substituting out the likes of Saka very soon unless he change's the script now.

Inplay prediction Arsenal 3-1 Brentford

Well, the first half came with Arsenal dominating the match and scoring a goal, until the goalie, Aaron allowed Wissa close him down to cause a goal. Am sure the second half would have more goals because this first half result is very unacceptable if they intend to win the premier league this season.

These are the kind of game's that hurt Arsenal for the title chase and am guessing City and Liverpool are thanking Brentford for this service, otherwise this game need a goal from the visitors to bring it alive, let's go Gunners!!

597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: March 09, 2024, 06:09:03 PM
I find this hilarious but it's actually very true!

And I think this has everything to do with our mentality which changes when we are risky more but when it comes to small bets it's like we play with more freedom which is the reason for the wins...but if we win more with smaller bets why not stick to them as they add up in terms of ROI and it's a good risk management approach .

Btw, sometimes betting big and losing just shows how much of greed we have which could be the reason for losing...let's just find the best bet size to optimise our risk appetite.
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any meme coin has the ability to challenge bitcoin dominance ? on: March 09, 2024, 04:56:13 PM
I think the most hyped meme coin I have ever experienced was Dogecoin when Elon Musk talked alot about cryptocurrencies, but unfortunately it lacks the numbers and popularity for it to challenge Bitcoin, and when we talk about challenging BTC this also means being number 2 and also means displacing Ethereum which hasn't happened for the longest time... And as far as I know, people don't take meme coins as a serious investment as they lack the liquidity to push it up... perhaps before trying to challenge BTc let it fight it out with Shiba inu another meme coin... For now all Altcoins remain second best.
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does possessing information play an important role in betting ? on: March 09, 2024, 03:32:28 PM
Of course information is needed for you to succeed in gambling!

As a matter of fact, it's through this information  that helps formulate a strategy for you to give yourself a winning chance...if it's sports gambling information is very vital to give yourself an edge over the markets..say you have information regarding key players not to play a certain fixture, then this tells you this said team won't be as strong as they would be with their key player...if it's slots, you would know that through favourable RTP, if you have say 300 spins then by probability the slots will pay for sure and it's all through information.

You have to be specific with what type of gambling you are talking here... I pressume that it's sports betting, right?

Possessing information is a must but it does not guarantee that you'll win with the information you have.
Totally agree, which is why with this information it does raise your winning probability by far... which is why several of these websites with sporting information remain relevant for gamblers to use to their advantage.
600  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: March 09, 2024, 02:15:12 PM
Have you ever met individuals with insane and brilliant ideas that got you wondering, how come he knows all this and it's not even reflected in his life? Some could give you real business ideas that could change a whole generation but that's all they can do, they can't bring it to reality and all their ideas only end on the discussion ground and never come to life.
I have met such type of people several times, and I believe the reasons for not going with these brilliant ideas boarders around not having the finances that don't get these ideas actualized, sometimes it's purely procrastination , sometimes they settle for the easier stuff and are comfortable with the small monies they get paid, sometimes it's lack of belief in themselves!!

I've met some of them and I must say, they are the backbone of so many successful businesses. Always with brilliant solutions to hands-on problems but can't put things together all by themselves to create a company of their own.
Guess everyone needs a backbone to have something work for you.

I believe nature is fair to all and while it gives some people that quality, others can bank from these brilliant ideas and bring it all to reality by supporting the ideas with the needed finance, resources, and coordination required to have a successful firm.

What do you think?
Agreed, you can't have everything or rather a short coming will always be there and to succeed you need someone to compliment your efforts which is how life balances itself up.
