601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 09, 2023, 11:22:57 AM
All the favorites in the tournament are struggling a lot and are not convincing, although they are winning for now, like Alcaraz, Medvedev or Tsitsipas.
So far, Djokovic is the only one who wins smoothly and proves that he is the main favorite to win this tournament.
I feel sorry for Zverev, he is a very good and talented tennis player, but a serious injury stopped his progress.
I have to agree with everyone that Berrettini is playing very well and he obviously loves playing at Wimbledon, where he has already played in the final before.
Can he repeat that success this year?
As said every match is a hard fighting match, the favourites won at the end. The real Wimbledon is happening, even Berrettini won against Zverev on direct sets. Among those two were tie breaker sets. Now I'm expecting the match between Rublev and Bublik, as Rublev lost against Bublik in the recent Halle Open final. Earlier he won against Zverev and Sinner which had increased the expectation on him.
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 09, 2023, 09:47:33 AM
224 runs is the target for England then, they have 2 full days of batting to do it. It really is not that high of a target, it’d be good if they could keep their nerve and reach the target to keep The Ashes alive this series. Nobody wants to see a white wash except Aussies.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/cricket/64959135

All eyes on Headingley for day 4 tomorrow.

England has all the opportunity to win this test match. The target is very moderate. If England does not lose quick wickets they are going to win this test match. But at the same time, I think we have to remember that the pitch has been behaving, quite friendly for the bowlers. With the condition, the rain, and also with overcast situations. I think it might be difficult for the batsmen of England to score freely.

I agree that they should be able to keep calm and score slowly. Conditions are going to support the bowlers. So they will have to show respect to the bowlers. They will have to punish the bad balls and defend the good ones. They should not go after the Australian bowling attack like crazy. Because that is the only way they are going to lose the match.

Just 224 runs required to win the match. It is a great opportunity for England, and the bowling from every one is really good. Particularly the expectation from Moeen Ali have got fulfilled. He had taken two important wickets and maintained an economy of 2 runs bowling 34 overs. Anyhow Australian bowlers will do the best and we can expect some extra bounce from the bowlers.

More two days left, and the same will give England more time to score. In recent test matches the batting performance of England was similar to the batting in an ODI. Maybe the same way could've been used this time to end the match at the earliest.

Obviously, Sri Lanka is a better team compared to the Netherlands. But it will be interesting to see if Sri Lanka uses the full strength of the team against the Netherlands. I am guessing that Sri Lanka might rest some players. And if that happens and the Netherlands also goes into this match with full strength, the results might be different than what we are thinking.

But in general, Sri Lanka to be able to win this match easily in my opinion. Obviously, it is going to be a surprise if Netherlands somehow manages to win this match. But I believe it will be better for both teams to rest some important players so that they don’t get any kind of injury just before the World Cup.

Srilanka are unbeaten so far in this tournament so they definitely have an upper hand in today's match. There were two encounters between both these teams in this CWC and both are very close. In warm up match SL won by just 3 wikcets while in super six match SL were bowled out for just 213 runs and Netherlands were just 21 runs short of winning the game. Both teams have qualified for WC for outcome of today's match won't matter.
Already both the teams have got qualified for the World Cup. The result of the match isn't a big thing. In 32 overs Sri Lanka have scored 158/3 which could reach 250 - 300 runs by the end of 50 overs. Sri Lanka have lost early wickets and now Arachchige at 48* runs and Asalanka at 29* runs on the crease. This could be a winning match for Sri Lanka as the experience will always have its role.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 09, 2023, 07:11:20 AM
Success have got different definition. It all depends upon the person and the limit they've set to term a person is successful. Not all are addicts, most of the time jackpot winners used to get addicted as they don't know what to do with the big money that's been won. Some people used to have prior experience handling big money and they use it properly whereas there are people who just spend it lavish and once again starts to gamble with the left behind. This makes them get into addiction, so not every successful gambler is an addict.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: July 09, 2023, 06:57:44 AM
Mindset depends upon the wallet backing, and in such situation how come a person with low wallet balance will have rich mindset. Whether it is rich mindset, rich person, broken person or whatever if there is zero luck then he/she gonna end up losing and end up broke.

Everyone have the mindset of turning themselves rich through gambling. The reality doesn't happen as we expect. This means luck factor is not in favour of us. Even with low wallet balance if we were able to win good then automatically the mindset will change from broken state to healthy state.
606  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is better to invest in copy trading or bot on: July 08, 2023, 11:59:46 PM
Copy trading is good than a bot in my understanding. However a bot never have the thinking same as the human minds. For this reason I prefer copy trading which is really good. To find the right person is the must, and the same will give us better learning and the skills to make better predictions.

Bots were pre assigned with specific commands and they execute is continuously. So, it also have the advantage in some form. This means for varying needs different methods can be applied.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 07, 2023, 10:59:17 PM
Two teams are fighting equally. The pacers of both teams are getting more advantage. Pat cummins single-handedly destroyed England's batting line-up. On the other hand team Australia is batting in the 2nd innings. Warner and Smith failed again in the 2nd innings. The partnership of Khawaja and Labuschagne was going to be big but England's bowlers dismissed both of them before that. Australia's 1st innings centurion Mitchell Marsh and Head are now at the crease and they have put on a 26-run partnership. Australia has taken a lead of 142 runs. 2nd day's play is over today. 3rd day is expected to be Australia's full day but  It is now to be seen how long England's bowling can last. I think Australia can beat England if they set a target of 300+ runs.

Australia started the second innings well. Usman Khawaja and Labuschagne batted well. But the team could not maintain continuity. At the end of the second day, they collected 116 runs. But they are still leading by 142 runs. It will be difficult to stay at the crease in the first session of the coming days. If Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh can bat well and stay at the crease in the first session, Australia will be able to collect big tomorrow. But I think Australia will not be able to collect more than 250 in the second innings. And the target will be less than 300.
Based on the opening partnership is the scoring from Australia, because whenever Khawaja scores good the team used to have big score. In the ongoing test match it is Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head who had contributed good to the match. Even now Australia is to take better position through them. A target less than 300 runs will be really advantageous for England, but how things gonna work and we can't be sure of the performance from England team. Lets see whether this is going to be a series winning match for Australia.
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: July 07, 2023, 10:50:21 PM
El Salvador has an insurmountable first mover advantage as #Bitcoin    Country

Few others will be able to compete and so will turn, in desperation, to the 25,000 altcoins but those will only leave ruin behind . . . as the Mayor of Miami discovered

Those who have been crushed by coins other than Bitcoin will surely return to Bitcoin once they know that the competition they created is futile. El Salvador is not only the first mover in terms of Bitcoin adoption, but El Salvador can also be used as the first example for other countries in terms of adopting Bitcoin and that has also been proven now. So it would be a waste if those who like coins other than Bitcoin create a competition that they will also lose in the end.
The success adopting other coins is very small and not every country watch it. Bitcoin being the legal tender is watched by the whole world and El Salvador serves as a standard for the same. St. Kitts and Nevis, a small caribbean nation planned adoption of bitcoin cash and the plan have been dropped. More and more countries were on the list, but not many have got the courage to take the plan to real-time action plan same as El Salvador. The real growth and the changes amidst the inflation around the world seems good in El Salvador.
609  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: July 07, 2023, 10:39:32 PM
I remember when I passed my driving test 18 years ago, the price per litre of fuel was like 40% cheaper than it is now. House prices continue to rise ridiculously. I don’t see how it can all continue, something is going break & I think it will be the USD as reserve currency. Inflation is running wild, the whole world is screwed. This is why we are here though, bitcoin is here, ready to save us.
It is the same throughout the world. The difference in price of fuel have changed drastically. The increasing fuel price directly impacts over each and everything. Inflation have hit hard and to get into better economic situation takes time. USD being the reserve is a reason, another thing it is kind of a cyclic process. For now we're experiencing it. Over time it gets corrected and market turns better.
610  Economy / Economics / Re: Look for what to invest, not what to eat on: July 07, 2023, 10:22:24 PM
We don't know what'll be the situation of us tomorrow. Food is something that is essential for our living, which means for what we earn? The very first thing is to survive and for the same food is a major thing. I've seen lot of people who had money little by little without eating good. End of the day, they spend a huge amount on medical bills. For this it is always good to understand when to eat and what to eat. Same time we should also know the limits on spending on food and where to spend, because for the same food we used to different amounts depending on the location and the comfort.
611  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: July 06, 2023, 10:10:46 PM
My question is, what big purchase could we see Elon Musk likely make this year?
To really find out what next that Elon musk is going to buy or acquire, we have to first study the ones he already acquired, what moves did he make before acquiring twitter and so on, this I believe that if we can solve the mystery there, we can probably be able to guess what  other big investments Elon is about to pump money into

But then, if we must be truthful to ourselves, I would simply say that, there is absolutely no way to know what Elon is about to invest in except he give a hint about it.
Without Elon giving any hint it is impossible to understand what is his plan of acquiring. It looks like he won't be focusing much on acquiring. The launch of threads is a big competence for Elon Musk and he'll be focusing on making Twitter stronger than the past. With big shout Meta have come up with a new product that is to give freedom of speech.
612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin on: July 06, 2023, 09:59:25 PM
Accepting bitcoin into business is always a right choice, but it needs to happen in one's own business. In my understanding the mom should be taught about bitcoin, and then it is her own interest that needs to make her accept bitcoin. Getting into his mom's business is not good choice. OP could learn and develop something and offer services in exchange for bitcoin. Already there were good number of services offered by people in exchange for bitcoin. Even there is a thread in which a person from Nigeria that have been accepting bitcoin into her tailoring service.
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an opportunity for the unbanked. on: July 06, 2023, 09:44:49 PM
What is the reason behind a huge population staying unbanked, major reason is the lack of access and the knowledge that makes the people go with practice of saving fiat in hands. When the unbanked number stands high due to the lack of awareness about banking how come it is possible to make those people use bitcoin. It is a difficult task and this is all about how the government gets involved in educating people about bitcoin as well as its stand on legalizing and adopting bitcoin.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 06, 2023, 01:42:38 PM
Today's odi match between United States vs United Arab Emirates has started. United Arab Emirates came to the field to bat first and scored 308 runs in 50 overs.  United Arab Emirates has to do. Now United Arab Emirates come to bat. They scored 10 runs in 2 overs. United Arab Emirates has not lost any wicket so far. But I am worried about who will win the match between the two teams today. It seems that United Arab Emirates is better in the bowling line.  Can perform and win the match.
UAE openers have scored good runs, Aryansh Sharma 57 runs and Asif Khan 151* runs is exceptional. The team have performed well and able to score 300+ runs. USA have started good and they need 162 runs in 19 overs with 7 wickets in hand. The required runrate goes above 8 rpo. USA need to start scoring better at the earliest to keep its winning hope alive.

In the other match between Netherlands and Scotland we can't come to a conclusion on the winner of the match. Both the teams were in similar position. For Scotland McMullen have scored a century. Netherlands have lost consecutive wickets, but they hadn't let the scoring go down. Netherlands requires another 85 runs in 84 balls with Bas de Leede (63* runs) and Saqib Zulfiqar (12* runs) on the crease.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 06, 2023, 01:32:41 PM
England got a fine start by taking 4 wickets and the scorecard still dealing with 2 digits.

They should seize the moment and go for the kill, which they didn't do in previous matches. Aussie desperately needs a good partnership, not sure how did Marsh get into this mix?  Huh
England have got good start as they were able to pick the top order wickets within 100 runs. If they continue to do the same match would come into their hands, but here things have changed as Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head have stood wicket and reached their 50 runs partnership as score have reached 136/4. England need to break partnership at the earliest, if not we can expect them to lead the innings.
616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 06, 2023, 01:17:31 PM
but if they are going to have weapon then maybe there will be a different result  Grin Elon Musk is actively engaging in fitness and action aswe can see in His built and indeed that no doubt he will win if the fight happens near time.
but if  this will be happening in the next 5-10 years? while Mark is now practicing boxing as internet says? maybe the result will go sideways.

Grin Good one! Next 5-10 years will be all different as Musk will grow old by 10 years and would be 61. Zukberg will be only 49 and he would still be fit at that time. Mark would become a pro in boxing by that time and who know he might learn some other martial art, it won't be easy for Musk to defend him and most probably he won't accept the fight. As the probability of Mark winning the bout will be high than Musk

Age is just a number. For example, Arnold Schwarzenegger is 75 years old. If there is a cage fight between him and someone like Logan Paul (28 years old), who do you think will be the winner? IMO, Musk looks much more athletic and healthy when compared to Zuckerberg. BTW, the real fight has already started, and it is between Twitter and Threads (Meta). Zuckerberg believes that support from left-wing loonies will help him to overtake Twitter in micro-blogging domain. I will be more skeptical. Replacing a well established platform such as Twitter will be extremely difficult.
Age is just a number, but there'll be difference in the endurance between the two. Arnold is professionally good, and he mastered it whereas Logan Paul is just a person who runs behind fame. Anyhow lets leave that, and the real fight had begun. This is how things need to be, physical fights were just waste of time and doesn't have anything positive other than showing one powerful over other one's physique. Now it's Twitter or Threads, for now it is Twitter and over time anything could change as the winner will be the one winning the hearts of people.
617  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin will accepted worldwide for legal then price rising $100k?? on: July 06, 2023, 07:13:05 AM
Just because the usage increases or there is good adoption all around the world, we can't expect the price of bitcoin to reach great heights. The market is speculative, which means any sort of news relative to bitcoin getting circulated around will have its impact on the price. This could turn down in the short or it keeps moving bullish.

Does its previous ath came as a result of large scale adoption. In my view ot isn't, what we experienced is the real growth that happened depending on the supply to the demand connected with good news that were getting reality around the market. Earlier when the price reached $20k to make its first ath, the move was unexpected. Everyone were hoping the price to be around $5k to $8k which took a big bounce and reached around $20k. Increasing usage will make the market stronger and not much in the rise of price.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 06, 2023, 06:42:56 AM
England Women and Australia Women were the dominant teams in Women's Cricket. The matches played between the two will always have good fight back. First match was close and Australia won the match chasing a target of 153 runs with one ball left and four wickets in hand. Second match went closer and England made themselves scoring a good target and defend Australia within the same. However we were able to see the dominance of Australia Women team as the performance were exceptional whether it is to chase or to defend. In the final T20 match higher chance of win is with Australia Women team.
619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin will become stable currency? on: July 05, 2023, 11:58:20 PM
Expecting bitcoin to be stable is completely wrong. The way Bitcoin have been developed is to function upon the demand to supply which makes the market to be volatile. There were more predictions that the market will turn stable when the adoption of bitcoin reaches larger scale. According to my understanding amidst all good things happening around, it is really impossible for bitcoin to be stable. Also most of the people who were hard users of bitcoin never want this to happen.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 03, 2023, 11:58:15 PM
Jonny Bairstow was unlucky to get out in that fashion, if he had stayed with Stokes on pitch then England might have won the game.
Yeh absolutely Bairstow sudden and unbelievable runout or some call it stump almost nailed it England defeat because if some how they both manage to build partnership then Thier victory were confirmed, no doubt stokes scored some decent by it self by but after his dismissal Bairstow will be the only player which can Carry on the momentum but unfortunately it not,  Some how in this second match defeat top order were responsible because in such a high target chasedown they didn't add good figure of runs which cut down mountains of difficulties for middle order.

The top order was definitely responsible for England's defeat. As you said, batting at such a huge target, a decent score was definitely needed from the top order. But the top order was a failure. Even then Ben Stokes tries his best. Maybe England could have won if he had stayed at the crease. But after such a poor performance from the top order England had no chance of victory. We have seen poor batting from England in both the Test matches. I doubt if their batsmen can perform well in the upcoming ODI World Cup.
Top order performance is a must in these matches. When the top order perform well, automatically the middle order and the tail will have their contribution as they get the opportunity to play without pressure. Think about Stokes, how much pressure could've been handled by him. Beyond some point he can't manage, if the other end is a batsman then he'll be little relaxed. Here the non striker end also need to be considered and handled. A great innings from him amidst the loss.
