Australia and England are entering the field to play the third Test at "Headingley" stadium to save the series. Of course, the third Test today is a honor-saving match for England and a series-deciding Test match for Australia. Having swept Australia in the previous two matches, England have no choice but to secure victory in the third Test today to save their self-respect from the series defeat. If England fail to win the third Test, the series will be out of hand and defeat will be certain as Australia have already won two matches in the five-match Test series.


However, there will be several changes in the England squad as Ollie Pope, Josh Tongue, Jimmy Anderson may not be in the squad due to injuries and Mooen Ali, Mark Wood, Chris Woakes are likely to be included in the squad instead.

Confidence Pressure Considering all these things, England will be far behind Australia in the third Test match. Because England has already been defeated in the first two test matches, today the series deciding match, if England is defeated today, then Australia will win this traditional series against England with 2 matches in hand. So England is not seeing any option to win the third test match to save their honor. If there is mental pressure on every player of the team before the start of the match then it becomes very difficult for that team to perform well on the field. If England can give their best against Australia without taking pressure, it is possible to win the third Test match against England. I want England to win the next two matches. Because if the game of England and Australia is not equal then the game does not freeze.

Anyway, plenty of changes in England's squad for 3rd match. Moeen, Woakes and Wood are in, Anderson, Pope and Tongue are out.

Moeen didn't performed well in the first test, so I am not sure whether his inclusion is going to create any trouble for the Aussies. His recent form is not good, either with the bat or ball. I am surprised that Tongue was left out. He did a decent job, IMO. Anderson deserves to be kicked out. Not for his poor performance, but for the whining after the match about how unsupportive the pitch was. Wood's addition is what England needs. He is the fastest bowler in England right now and his inclusion to the squad should add some venom to their attack.

BTW, I heard from social media that England is interested in stealing Chris Sole from Scotland. He bowls at speeds of up to 94 mph, and has been exceptional so far in the CWC qualifiers. This will achieve two objectives for England - first they can strengthen their own bowling lineup, and secondly they can make sure that Scotland will remain in the fringes of world cricket. The same strategy was employed w.r.t. Eoin Morgan and Boyd Rankin a decade ago and they successfully managed to destroy the Irish team back then.

One replacement was forced because of Pope's injury, maybe that's why they went with Moeen (spin all-rounder). Anderson sitting out makes sense to everyone and i guess Tongue was also a replacement.

Kolpak deal went bust so I won't be surprised if they start poaching some talented players from the Associates.

3rd test time! This is the most important test in the series for obvious reasons and England are probably sweating like crazy while Australia are chilling since they are all set to retain the urn.

England should stop hiding behind pathetic excuses and simply prove that this series isn't over yet. Am hoping for this series not to end in a one-sided manner.

The test series this time will be won by Australia, because first two test matches were real opportunities for England. Small errors in the match and the miscalculation costed them big. The third match which is a must win for England makes them under pressure while Australia will be very cool to play the rest of the Matches. This makes England in have decline in performance, which once again favour Australia.

Australian doing good job in this series and now leading by 2 - 0 which is surely impressive from their side with now today we are going to watch third test at Leeds England are going to make three changes veteran James Anderson, injured Ollie Pope and Josh Tongue make way for the Mark Wood, Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali.

Australia could be without their star veteran off-spin bowler Nathan Lyon who is now out of the series due to his injury, but they have another good spinner Todd Murphy which can do good recovery for Nathan Lyon in remaining series now all pressure is on England and Australia will play their natural game which will surely give good advantage to them with most chances they will be won this series by good margin as England is now completely down and out of the series after losing first two matches.

But a possible prediction can be made when the first innings is over. But like the last two times, Australia may win the match, Australia is a good team and its chances are always high, but if England plays well, they will not be left out of the winning list.

No doubt Australia's batting line-up is very strong but their starting 4 batsmen have played very poorly which has put Australia under some pressure. But it can be said that Mitchell Marsh and Hade will be somewhat helpful from this pressure because of the partnership between these two, Australia is able to play very cheerfully. But here England's bowling line should be applauded, they bowled very well, they put a lot of pressure on a team like Australia in the beginning.  England will now try to figure out how to get the Australian batsmen out.

That was really a needed partnership, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh did it well. 100 runs partnership when there is continuous wicket fall adds more strength to the team. Now the score have reached 245/6 which is quite good compared to 85/4. Probably the innings of Australia could end within 300 runs. England have good chance of taking advantage of the match and lets see what happens.

Marsh-Head duo produced an important 150 runs partnership and Aussie were in a great position but this time they lost the plot and did a harakiri. They lost their last 4 wickets in just 30 runs and the way Wood and Woakes are going with their fiery spell, they might wrap up the Aussie inning quickly.

Overall I think England has the upper hand in this match.  They have managed to take 9 wickets and restricted Australia to 254 runs. If they are able to bowl them out under 280 runs it will be a big achievement and a good start to this must win test match for them.

The Australian batting line completely crashed in this match. If Mitchell Marsh didn't make that quick 118 runs, Australia would have been struggling badly. Mark Wood took 4 wickets and stand out among the bowlers. Remember England have to win this  Leeds test, in order to stay in the Ashes.
