How low do you think XMR will crash after the XMV fork? I'm expecting it to correct back to around 0.020~0.024 btc

XMR has already corrected itself after the v7 fork, there isn't any appetite for "yet another Monero fork"

I'm still looking at $300 by end of month with maybe a brief trip up to $350.

I reckon XMR will continue to outperform BTC - though it might not reach the 400-500 highs just yet.

One week and $8 from here.  Seems legit.

WTAF? They've lost their marbles, and the justification is complete nonsense. "It's so valuable that we burn it!"
It's to reward the holders, right?

Also I'm guessing the supposed black hole address in question is of the "no-really-trust-us-we-don't-have-the-private-key" variety?
You beat me to it, ehehe  Wink

We call for other miners to join us in burning 12% of the transaction fees collected.

This has to be one of the stupidest things I've seen.  Let's just burn it all!  It will be great, we can change the name to OneCoin!

Still thinking this is complete nonsense but ...

https://bircoin.top/

We are 3% ahead of the prediction Cheesy

The reason it's nonsense is because the amount of bitcoin holders who still hold hundreds and thousands of bitcoins vastly outweigh (in coins) the number of new users that could push the price to $1M by buying what little amount of bitcoin is on the exchanges. And the float is only getting thinner each year.

I mean, there were n00bs still able to buy whole bitcoins just last year. Who wouldn't sell them all at $1M in just 3 years? Who wouldn't dump a few, or ten, or a hundred at that price point? Many would.

Point is, because of the increasing selling impetus as the price climbs higher, I think it'll take a LOT longer for us to reach $1M/btc. Probably like 10-15 years. Extremely doubtful in just three years. Unless ETFs come on board and wanna just leverage up the price to the moon overnight, but they have to know this will spark some heavy selling.

I expect 1 million will come in a rush within the next few years.  It will also disappear as fast and as hard as every other major peak, with the Mayor on suicide watch as per usual.  Stability in 7 figures, if possible at all, is a long way out.

Doesn’t seem to be able to break over $9,000

looks like its going to happen

resistance is futile, 10k next week

If it goes upwards from 9500$ yes.

Profound, dude.

Hi friends. I hope you can help me. When I want to send some XMR from mymonero.com to someone. I fill in everything, I validate then I see « generating transaction…… » and nothing happen. Thanks for your help!
It sometimes takes a very long time to generate the transaction.  Just wait for it.
It takes very long time ? I did it many times until I logged out of my wallet automatically but results are the same.
You interrupted it.  Don't.
Start the process, then open another tab and read emails or watch porn for about ten minutes.
Then go back to the mymonero.com tab and have a look.

Also, is your connection good?  Is your device overloaded? Try closing everything else and let it work.

What's even more pertinent than 100GB of harddrive space is 100GB of bandwidth which is a sizeable portion of (or over) the monthly bandwidth cap for most ISPs.
Only for portable internet. My home connection is a 100 mbps connection with unlimited use. For like 40 bucks a month.

I'm happy for you.  Mine is quite limited, and more expensive.  Unlimited is about double that, but I don't need it, and can't stand to give them more money.  Interested to see if they try to ding me for overages again this month, since I was away for 6 weeks with my modem unplugged.

A single vote by 350,000,000 people with 250 bytes of data per vote would use over 87.5GB on the blockchain. That's just in a really simple case but usually a ballot has like 50 things on it.
and usually 60-70% don't vote.  If voting could change things, it would be illegal.

0.001 million dollar by end of May
noted...

That big of a drop over 5-6 weeks I would bet against with everything, if there are any takers...?  Or are we talking something other than BTC?

There is an interesting article "Amazon Granted Patent For Streaming Data Marketplace With Bitcoin Use Case" at https://cointelegraph.com/news/amazon-granted-patent-for-streaming-data-marketplace-with-bitcoin-use-case :

Quote
“For example, a group of electronic or internet retailers who accept Bitcoin transactions may have a shipping address that may correlate with the Bitcoin address. The electronic retailers may combine the shipping address with the Bitcoin transaction data to create correlated data and republish the combined data as a combined data stream.”

So, non private coins such as BTC will be less and less private as they become more adopted. I wonder what the effect will be on privacy coins. Monero can either become a refuge of privacy or dismissed because it is accepted nowhere as form or payment. What do you think?

XMR.to  etc.

co2 is not a pollutant.

True. It's a greenhouse gas tho.
Yes, and that's a good thing, as we just covered.

It's not a good thing. We need atmospheric temperature to be lower than normal human body temperature. Plus, our cognitive abilities suffer from high CO2. Anyone who tried to study in a stuffy room with poor ventilation knows that. We already went from 300 to 400 ppm in one lifetime.

And dodged a bullet by doing so.  Any lower and there wouldn't be enough plant life to sustain us.   Have you ever looked to see what historical norms are?  What's the danger level on a submarine (closed system)?  Never mind what the MSM tells you.  In fact, better to take it as a contrarian indicator.  Dig a little.

So go on, burn some oil. Do your part to improve the world.

Bbut... but.. my next car will be all electric. My next house will have 10Kwh solar panels, with charging station. All my tools will be rechargeable. The only gas I will burn will be in my fun antique cars that see little use except for weekends.

EROI of oil is slowly dying. Mass adoption of all electric vehicles will help kill it.

Burn it Now, while you can get it!  V8's for everyone!

I've seen this dumb meme a lot lately of "why do taxes exist when they can just print?".  Probably because chance of hyperinflation would be 10x higher, duh?  Did you people just fall off a turnip truck?  That and they want precedent for extracting from you when they're inevitably forced to go back to sound money (physical silver and gold).

personal taxes amount to a very small part of total gov spending.  Eliminating them would barely cause a blip, BUT: Think of all the Acounants lawyers [the entire IRS] enforcers marshals prison guards etc that would then be out of work, and have more free time to revolt the against the rest of the totalitarian state?
