I need monero asap. Do you guy think a dip is coming soon like a correction?

Monero tends do well except when btc is rocketing. And btc is having something of a small correction right now. I suspect the 0.0164 that we are at right now IS your correction. It was a lot higher recently.

$255 at Poloniex, thats about as cheap as its been for days.  I expect it will go higher shortly.  But then, I always do  Tongue

So Cramer just admitted on cnbc that Bitcoin supply was a problem. Because it forces market makers to push the market as high as possible to "shake out more coins". But that's not happening. People aren't taking profits like they expected. He's worried that they'll have to push the Bitcoin market cap to $1T first before they start to see more supply hit the exchanges.

This is fkn hilarious. They can't just call up someone and whip up more stock shares (like they do when other equities launch!). He basically just revealed what everyone has been suspecting for a long time now, that the U.S. stock market is a complete fraud that only enriches the wealthy elites.

A trillion is only a tripling away.  You aren’t getting my coins for a tripling.  I’m looking 20 years out.  The problem is we believe and they don’t. Wall Street are the weak hands in this game.
Could triple in a week if there just aren't any coins to buy cheaper.

Speaking of cheaper, has anyone else been watching bitfinex dumping every hour, on the hour for about 5 hours?
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 08, 2017, 12:47:41 AM

These guys are tied to Bytecoin right? Run by some Russion Mafia guy? Thought it would happen when they made enough cake off of adding BTG. So it's just a couple of guys on reddit whining over $140?

I believe 140k, in euro-speak.
1445  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 08, 2017, 12:30:15 AM
So it's 2.5 mio BTC/KRW ($23K) on Bithumb and 2.4 mio BTC/JPY ($21.5K) on BitFlyer.  Even GDAX almost got to USD$20K.  Global BTC daily volume almost $20 billion and network buckling under 200K tx pending, with most of spam tx out of mempool now due to timeout.

So when are we going to see even the old hands on deck, who got thru all these years somewhat unscathed, become scared?    Undecided

Unless you are margin trading, what is there to be scared of?
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 08, 2017, 12:24:18 AM
Eh, I was trying to point out where our minds were with regard to price predictions. Debating whether or not Bitcoin would reach $2000 or Monero $50 by the end of the year seems very, very conservative in retrospect. How many expected Bitcoin's price to crash after it surpassed 3k?

After 2014 2015 2016,  I expected a good bit more than 3k BTC.  21k CAD so far, which is more than I expected, then.  Actually, Jan 2017 I had $100 XMR and 10k BTC as high probabilities for the year.  $300 and 16-20K USD respectively covers that very well indeed  Smiley

Where is Adam? the original thread opener..

I remember the frenzy when we got to 10.000 pages for this thread, and we wanted the same for the price in usd

Tell him we are about to make it!!! Maybe tomorrow at this pace.

Adam's mantra was always '32K guaranteed' it doesn't seem that crazy now....

One doubling...  If we are topping, and also reaching 32K, I would expect we see it next week, if not before.

A bigger problem though is transaction clearing time, I just moved a bit to buy some equipment before end of year (tax deductible and I need this stuff) and it still hasn't confirmed.

If this keeps up I may have to use Litecoin.

Mempool is growing bigtime. Make sure to include a good fee for quick confirmation.

https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#24h

I have 2 fairly large transactions totally stuck - even though I put them through as 'fast' by believing my BTC Core wallet's advice.

Nothing confirmed for hours - what fees actually WORK right now - anyone recommend a site to suggest accurate fee requirements?

Feeling very stupid...
Not the same, but fees, man!
I tried to use embeded shapeshift in coinomi to dump some BCH yesterday. Fees >$150. wtf. Tried the embeded changelly. >$80.  So I still have the BCH... Probably send it to polo eventually.

Just send to an exchange, works fine - I just did it with BTC Gold, simple and not too pricey to do...

I only have poloniex for alts, so limited there.  And now is NOT the time to try to sign up at an exchange.  Let alone try to log on Cheesy  I suppose I should check what Kraken, Bitfinex, Bitstamp trade.  I haven't used any of them in ages.  Almost got a bittrex account a few months ago, but the user agreement scared me away.
1449  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2017, 11:06:55 PM
Do you guys think I should redo the poll, or let it stand?

P.S.
Prices on the Korean exchanges are approaching $20,000.

The month isn't over yet.  Let it stand.
1450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2017, 11:02:40 PM
I promised myself I would buy myself a present at 10k

So I bought this....it arrived yesterday

Since I've been wearing it we've been moving at more than 2k a day. It's not coming off.  Grin

We'll all know the reason if BTC crashes...

So I see people worried for McAfee's dick, and that $400k will fall short, but if I know this guy I'm thinking he wants to eat his dick --especially on TV.
As we close in on $13k, think about that moment the market crashes at $499k and McAfee fires up the grill with a smile.

I sometimes wonder if he has 2 dicks and he just wants to get rid of one of them. Smiley
He adjusted his bet to $1million per BTC.

What if he doesn't have a dick and winning the bet would grow him one by uneating it?

Or he's terminally ill, and has zero expectation of making it through 2020.  One last epic troll  Cheesy

1454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 07, 2017, 02:53:54 AM

I'm thinking when Tether crashes Polo is gonna go with them.

IDK what their expenses are, but the probably at least $200k gross daily revenues from the top 5 or so markets surely are enough to keep them solvent.
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 07, 2017, 01:45:25 AM
I had a Polo withdrawal sit all  night long in pending status. tried 4 more times since, nothing. BTC withdraws just fine. Not making me happy.  Angry

Yeah, I've been withdrawing everyday for a while at my limit and no problems. Problems started about 2 days ago.
I'm thinking I'll need to convert to BTC and Shapeshift once its out. It's then abou short term timing. Grrrrr

They probably needed to pull from cold wallet. Most likely many withdrew since prices on exchanges were so different. What is good is that Polo reduced its withdrawal fee. Smiley

I recently had a Polo withdrawal sitting in 'pending' status for 24 hours, after which I opened a help ticket with them, they sorted it within a couple of hours and the withdrawal went through. Still dependable in my opinion.

Wow really? I waited months for support to contact me and eventually just gave up.
Ya they've been dropping my orders (bad, but workable) yet taking the fees (bad, not acceptable) forever (whenever its busy), never got any responses from support and gave up a long time ago.  Just call it the cost of using their exchange.

OK finally sweeping a small paper wallet, so gotta dump me some clone coins.  I got BCH, BTG, and Bitcore.  Using Coinomi. did I miss any?   It's not old enough for clams...

Edit: You didn't miss any but here is what may be coming and you will need your old key for BCD:

11/23/2017   Bitcoin Diamond (BCD) - Already split but launching in Dec
12/12/2017   Bitcoin Platinum
12/17/2017   Super Bitcoin
Sometime in Dec   Bitcoin Uranium
Sometime in Dec   Bitcoin Silver
12/25/2017   Bitcoin God (GOD)?
1/2/2018   Bitcoin Cash Plus (BCP)
1/28/2018   Segwit 2x (B2X) retry?

Have they already had snapshots? 'cause there's nothing left on that address now.  BCD I guess has...  I can check later, if it hasn't been compromised by coinomi. Surprisingly easy to use coinomi.  I just stuck the app on my old phone, set a password, and started scanning the QR code over and over again Grin  I was expecting... more work.

What BTC is doing now just makes think of what ETH is going to do next year. The adoption rate of muggles now is astounding and I wouldn't be surprised to see BTC at 50,000 by the middle of next year. And if that is the case, ETH will be past 2,500. But that of course is my uneducated guess.

More like sub $200 as people realize it's a broken coin with no security, no privacy, no scaling, and no use case.  Of course the shit that gets pumped to the sky needs zero of any of that, just look at (pick a shit coin).

Where will this retracement land us

Another hour sideways then up?  Smiley

Just hit $400 CAD.  Cool   Purism laptop is waiting for me at 400 USD.  For Christmas, methinks.
