621  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Free Tools to speedup BTC transactions on: September 25, 2023, 11:36:05 PM
Seriously, confirmtx is not a scam who is asking to pay you money I just shared to rebrodcast your transaction that might help for free. I shared it on the basis of my experience.

Anyways, What your opinion regarding Mixer that you are promoting in signature just to get some money and commenting negatively to complete post task. I think its that's the most easy and meaning less contribution to criticize on newbie or jr. member's thread negatively to complete number of post. Mixers and casino are the biggest scam of crypto industry and you are promoting it in your signature  with the hyperlink as well. Atleast I am not sharing a probable scam thing, I am not posting bogus link.
It just that your rank is higher but making fun of memebrs is not a contribution.

Lol what are you on about? you were criticized because of the content of your thread, nothing else. Everything else that you listed except for ViaBTC is a dud, not to mention, one is even a scam which you could have prevented if you bother to research. This is not about ranks and signature campaigns-- mind you, last time I was off of campaign, I was still posting and rotating sigs of services I liked Tongue

Mixers and casinos aren't scams btw. However, if you truly believe so, feel free to open a scam accusation thread to every mixers and casinos advertising in bitcointalk with proof attached Cheesy

As for confirmtx, it is a scam

1. "confirmtx.com is not honoring their terms"
2. The many complaint posts in their ANN thread
3. Another "accelerator list" where confirmtx was mentioned
4. "confirmtx.com is a scam now, do not use it for acceleration"

Lol, confirmtx is a known scam. The fact that op listed it means they did not do their research properly. It should only take a simple review lookup using search engines. I'm pretty sure we have threads about them here as well.

Further, looking at OP's post history, the intention becomes more obvious-- low effort attempt for merits 🥱.
624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin was stolen from Atomic wallet on the 3rd of June on: September 24, 2023, 07:52:40 PM
If you're still reading this, try to see if you can deduct your scam loss to your tax as it's possible in some countries, see: https://koinly.io/guides/

Tracking coins can be difficult especially if perps know how to obfuscate their tracks. Even if the coins landed in an exchange account which is actively being used, you still have to hope the exchange and authorities will cooperate with you so yeahh chances aren't that good. I'm not discouraging you btw, just laying it all out there.

PS: please ignore the newbie claiming to be a hacker that can help you as it's merely a scam attempt. I've reported the post but I'll leave this here as a just-in-case.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to keep safe the mnemonic phrase - Whats Your method? on: September 24, 2023, 12:57:50 PM
fellow members,

As we all know keeping mnemonic phrase in a secure place is the first step of bitcoin journey. But there are few thing that comes in my mind:

->Writing and keeping it with you/your place: What if someone got the access in your absence of theft or any disaster?

One way to minimize physical theft is to try to keep your financials as lowkey as possible, most especially, crypto. For instance, don't flaunt on social media or to your IRL peers.

In case of cryptos, burglars typically don't assume you have it and they usually go for the general stuff like cash, gadgets, etc. That is why I'm convinced a lot of physical attacks to crypto users are targeted, which means perps got a hold of their victims activities/information first.
626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some questions and answers about Bitcoin in Bangladesh. on: September 24, 2023, 10:05:02 AM
About the thread, it appears you're trying to make a FAQ but it's too short, my dude... Further, always try to look into yourself if you're fit to make such informative threads otherwise, it could backfire.

For question #2, it's better to add webites such as coingecko so people can see the updated price.

Honestly, I'd be afraid to use custodial/centralized exchanges-- where'd I have to give out any of my identifying personal information-- if this was the stance of my country. I would rather use P2P exhanges with E2E encryption so there'll be no midman in the conversation.

If memory serves right, I did hear btc doing well in Bangladesh so my guess is laws aren't enforceable or the authorities simply don't do any effort in enforcing it so it has been pretty much nothing to a lot of citizens, I would still err on the side of caution though.
627  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: Fake Celsius claimant Agent Website on: September 23, 2023, 11:09:41 PM
Celsius' clients information have been leaked couple of times hence I wouldn't be surprised if these people get an uptick of phishing emails compared to others.

From the infamous court filling to third party vendors leaking their emails 🥱

https://decrypt.co/111451/bankrupt-crypto-lender-celsius-reveals-thousands-of-users-transaction-histories-in-court-filing
https://decrypt.co/66688/celsius-data-breach
https://www.reddit.com/r/CelsiusNetwork/comments/waidkd/comprised_email_addresses_by_celsius/

Bleeping Computer has an interesting bit though about this case. Apparently, someone who doesn't have an account received the same email

A recipient of one of these phishing emails told BleepingComputer that they did not have an account at Celsius and never filed as a creditor, making it strange that they received this email.

The threat actors are likely using older contact lists previously stolen through hacked cryptocurrency marketing accounts.

So perps may have used a general list which came from users of different platforms.
628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Earnings on: September 23, 2023, 09:43:44 PM
Marketing has many branches hence you have to be specific. What do you wanna market?

As for trading, we have multiple threads about this. Learning how to search effectively will do you good as a lot in the field relies in self-help learning. For starters, if you wanna lookup threads in our forum, you could do so by keying-in the following format:

Code:
site:bitcointalk.org "your question/topic you wanna look into"

We do have a forum search bar but it can be clunky hence the suggestion.

629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I'm looking for information on the wallet that has been emptied after the crack on: September 23, 2023, 06:17:12 AM
Do you know a better or updated tool?

If it's just tagging known exchange addresses, there are a couple of good ones I've been using

1. oklink.com
2. oxt.me
3. breadcrumbs.app

For address grouping of non-exchange addresses, I only know oxt.me which does a bit of that-- see relations tab.
630  Economy / Exchanges / Re: *warning* Bitstamp not allowing withdrawals on: September 22, 2023, 11:37:48 PM
In Reddit I found a few more people having similar problems for two months now, and I am not new in Bitstamp, I have been using it since 2018. I also asked them if it could be a problem with the ID, or probe of address, and they told me that the documents and ID are good, so this is not a KYC problem.

Maybe they didn't block withdrawals for everybody but it looks like I am not the only one having problems there, and the most worrying is that there is no explanation after so long.

Custodial exchanges can be triggered happy with their KYC/AML policies hence a few more people are bound to get hassled. This is why even with established exchanges, it can still be risky. Also, if they haven't finished looking into you case, there's a good chance it's an open ended answer.

I would suggest following up your case on their social media as well. For instance: https://twitter.com/Bitstamp/ -- check bio. Be aware that there are loads of scammers pretending to be bitstamp so always triple check.
631  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bybit and Metatrader on: September 22, 2023, 10:11:47 PM
What Im trying to do is to find software that would allow me to write my own indicators and automate trade, execute orders on Bybit. Or I make my own software using the Bybit APIs, best solution maybe.

Crypto Traders use trading bots to automate their tasks, try looking into them and see if some stuff you're looking for are possible with them. Just don't forget to set your bybit API key in a way where it's not possible to withdraw your funds with it to minimize additional exposure risk.

For starters, you can start on this thread, see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5278392.0 (note that it has been awhile since it was last updated so there could be more providers for bybit now)
632  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 1337mushroom.exchange - Peer To Peer Crypto Currency Exchange [BETA TESTING] on: September 21, 2023, 11:50:20 PM
I think he is looking for people who have enough experience or consider trading a full-time job.

Oh okay, that's fair. If that's the case, it's likely non full timers with enough experience could do the job as well provided that they have the spare time.

My guess is, most people on the community aren't full time traders given how unstable the income can be hence the above relaxed requirement should open up more candidates.
633  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What exchanges allow you to trade derivatives even though it ban in your country on: September 21, 2023, 10:38:41 PM
Quote from: op
Or would I have register as a company ? would that allow me to trade derivatives?

I did hear the restriction is for individual users but both countries can be very strict hence it's not strange for exchanges to go with the easy route of just blocking access of such service or feature for every resident so most established exchanges probably won't be offering derivatives even for business/institutional accounts. In other words, limited choices especially in US where US-okay platforms are already limited-- not counting obscure ones.

In addition, from what I've seen, [established] exchanges often expect business/institutional accounts to trade a high amount of volume and they may ask corresponding documents. You'll know for sure when you ask your picked exchange.

I'd probably place this approach at the last of my list.
634  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: XQtraders turned out to be scam on: September 21, 2023, 12:37:18 PM

According to bbb.org and sunbiz.org the company was founded by Kevin Russ and Nicholas Spurlock. I just want to know if the scammer used a fake name or taking information from that company claiming to be that company? According to sunbiz.org the company was dissolved last September 2022. I believe they registered online from abroad to appear more legit.

My guess would be similar to others, op -- hide real identity as that's the easiest and safer way. Emphasis on "guess" though because we can't say for sure.

If you're on USA, you can probably file a police report and try to ask an officer if they could request and take a look at the suspected people's records which would be a step closer.
635  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 1337mushroom.exchange - Peer To Peer Crypto Currency Exchange [BETA TESTING] on: September 21, 2023, 10:35:43 AM
By "to complete private regulated KYC transactions", do you mean beta testers have to KYC first? if so, that's a bit too much. Frankly, I don't understand why if the the funds will be from the exchange team or they'll use testnet coins.

Could you also elaborate why you specifically need "full-time traders"?
636  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is there an exchange as similar as txbit.io? on: September 18, 2023, 12:32:17 AM
Visually speaking, I don't think you'll have a hard time adapting to most spot exchanges.

Funtionality wise, you'd have to be more specific. But my general answer is, it's a lot more closer to lesser known exchanges with no mandatory KYC e.g. MEXC. I hope you're not aiming for the 0% trading fee subscription plan feature though as you may have a hard time finding that one.
637  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitunix: KYC solution? on: September 17, 2023, 10:53:26 PM
I haven't heard of this Bitunix exchange before and how it became a solution for KYC. According to the link provided by JeromeTash above, this exchange is asking for KYC meaning you need to submit personal documents before you can able to use their service.

I'm not sure why they wrote it that way but there are other indicators they have an unverified tier (no mandatory kyc)

1. From their help article: https://support.bitunix.com/hc/en-us/articles/15666657422105-KYC-Tiers-and-Benefits
2. From the test account: -- never tested with B's but it's usually enough to peek at the withdrawal page unless the exchange is shady.

But yeah, they're just like other CEXs that could request KYC anytime. The withdrawal limits are also inflated and - something typically found on an obscure/lesser known exchange as regulators don't even know they exist.
638  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitunix: KYC solution? on: September 16, 2023, 05:29:44 PM
It can be a band-aid solution for some use-cases -- though I would pick a more known exchange than bitunix

Bitunix, like every other custodial exchanges with no-mandatory KYC can always request their users to do indentity verification and they typically do this while witholding user funds -- it's the risk we have to bear. Furthermore, in most cases, it's only a matter of time before a CEX implement mandatory KYC because once they get popular, they'll be on regulators radar.
639  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Richy.casino - The dumbest scam I've every seen on: September 16, 2023, 02:16:50 PM
Maybe, I'm not right about the Phillipine-based license.

So on their footnote, they claim to be partnered with New Wave Infotech Limited.

Quote
richy.casino is operating as a licensed partner number 22-0025/8vhyx of New Wave Infotech Limited, with operating address of 2nd Floor, Executive Villa, Telempire Building, Lot 32 & 33, Waterfront Road, Sub Central Business District, Subic B, Olangapo City, Phillippines. New Wave Infotech Limited is operating as a licensed offshore gaming operator licensed by PAGCOR (Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation) number 22-0025.

I cross-checked this with PAGCOR and found it on their list of offshore gaming licensees, see: https://www.pagcor.ph/regulatory/pdf/offshore/List-of-Approved-Philippine-Offshore-Gaming-Operators.pdf

You can try to contact PAGCOR and get more information. It's not so hard to claim this and that on the internet. But even if everything is true, I don't really expect an offshore license to hold much weight.
640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of introverts against successful investments on: September 16, 2023, 11:54:35 AM
I want to ask, are you one of this introverts? Why and how did you become one?
Is it as a result of being molested or a result of parental and guidance?

Things you must know about being an introvert on the business sector>>>
* Do you know if you are an employee and your company needed a presentative you would not be. Considered if you are one of the introverts and could also cause you a setback or delays to promotions?.
Do you know that most crashed business is a result of inability to socialize and set a literarily public campaigns?
Do you know that your inability to speak could earn you a missed lottery ticket?
Do you know that your introvertial lifestyle could earn you a defenceless?

Lol what is this? sorry but the inability to socialize, inability to speak up, bad at public speaking, and the likes are not introversion but something else, one candidate for instance is social anxiety.

I define introverts as people who have a lower social energy hence the preference for solitude. It doesn't mean they're bad or hate socializing. In truth, we humans are social beings and actually need to socialize.
