1461  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is less than 2x leverage possible on binance? on: November 03, 2021, 02:42:45 PM
Judging from their guide (How to adjust your leverage when trading on Binance Futures), only whole numbers are possible e.g. 1, 2, 3... (except zero ofc).
1462  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BitMEX has blocked accounts for no reason. More than 1000 BTC have disappeared!! on: November 02, 2021, 05:46:21 PM
Denying you've never had the funds you actually do is blatant theft. Users can't recover something they don't have unlike the typical account termination where they still have a chance...

OP, would you be willing to provide proof backing your claims here? (screenshots, emails, etc..). Open a scam accusation thread and follow the recommended format (Scam Report Format)
1463  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin stolen from Coinbase account, can I get it back? on: November 02, 2021, 04:22:40 AM

Would there be any chance of Coinbase admitting how this was clearly the actions of a hacker and reimburse atleast some of my money?

Would there be any chance of Coinbase admitting that all that suspicious activity should have been noticed by them and some sort of actions taken to prevent the hacker from completing their goal, and they give me some sort of reimbursement as a result?

I've never heard of any hacked victims who has gotten anything from coinbase. This is because coinbase assumes it's the user's fault most of the time and so they hold no responsibility. Maybe if you get a foolproof evidence that they are at fault and it becomes a controversy, you'll get something out of coinbase.

Has anyone actually filed a report with their local police and it resulted in finding the hacker and getting their crypto back?
The amount is enough of a financial blow to wish I could get it back, but not so much that its life changing.

But each case is different, some are prioritized because of how huge the amount it, how hard the tracking is, how controversial etc...

But I don't see how you shouldn't report these to authorities/investigators. The chances are slim but you never know, maybe it's connected to a bigger group of scums that is being investigated and/or they are dum dums.

There is ic3 (https://www.ic3.gov/) for starters and reclaimcrypto (https://www.reclaimcrypto.com/) that flags addresses and sends it to their partner exchanges. Note: be careful of scam recovery services, they are everywhere.
1464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Sent USDT To ETH address on Coinbase, but coinbase refuse to assist! Help urgent on: November 01, 2021, 10:16:34 PM
I have sent to my coinbase wallet ETH

You mean this coinbase wallet? (https://wallet.coinbase.com/) If so, you can recover the coins yourself cause this one lets you manage your private keys.

If it's coinbase.com the exchange, no other choice but to beg them for it. I once stumbled upon a similar problem where the OP's situation implied coinbase did a mass recovery after some time. In case they refuse your request (i hope not!), try to regularly monitor if your funds moved.
1465  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Help needed with verification on Binance on: November 01, 2021, 06:18:22 PM
Make sure you've followed the instructions which can be found here: How to Complete Identity Verification

If that doesn't work, contact support and ask what is wrong: How to Use Binance Support

Last resort is to have them put you to manual review. Coinbase and other exchanges has this option where an actual human reviews your case. There is a chance binance has it as well.
1466  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance automatically logged out during trading on: October 31, 2021, 10:46:46 PM
Looks like they are aware of the issue. Contact support and we'll see.

OP: Did you guys also get logged out automatically on the Binance App?
MOD: Good day, yes we are aware of this. It's happening because of an update you can log in again nothing to worry about

But my experience with binance support has been poor recently. I'd say talk to at least 2 different support agents.
1467  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Looking for Crypto Lawyer in Wyoming on: October 27, 2021, 11:29:43 PM
Hey, did you find someone? I know that a lawyer specializing in economics and business is enough, but I want to find someone who understands cryptocurrency. I've already found a criminal defense lawyer in case something happens. Now the cryptocurrency world is becoming increasingly popular, and I need at least some advice for one important question. I don't think I can do it alone. I hope you found someone and can help me. I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Try asking for a referral in your local bar association?

I'm not sure if they do wyoming as well but there's also silvermiller (US lawfirm) that has been mentioned in articles few times as they handled crypto related cases (coindesk, cointelegraph - you can look it up). I'm not vouching for them just to be clear, never used them. As usual, no blind trusting, always research and screen them.

ICYMI: buwaytress' suggestion is something to look into as well.

(posting cause OP was last active last year  Cry )
1468  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Massive list of Bitcoin-friendly VPS /VPNproviders on: October 27, 2021, 02:01:17 PM

Offering a VPS when they can't even make a decent website. They didn't even edit their testimonials and all rights reserved but this website is most likely yours, nice try.

1469  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hosting list? on: October 26, 2021, 04:40:34 PM
An alternative would be to open a thread in mining board and ask for recommendations based on your preference/needs. You will have to DYOR anyway.
1470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ban on Binance Futures on: October 26, 2021, 01:07:11 PM
I'm not sure what is the situation there but I would look for an alternative first.

Imo you have less chances of getting into the horror of exchanges freezing your funds if you aren't straight up breaking their TOS. Yes, you can put an amount which you find easier to leave but what if you were able grow it to a decent amount? Would you say it is still easy to let go if it took your time and effort to get it? that is also something to consider.

(this is all supposing that for some reason you are able to circumvent the ban wave. I highly doubt this but then again this happened: Some people are still able to trade p2p on Binance using new unverified accounts)
1471  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Cryptocurrency cashing out service on: October 26, 2021, 10:15:20 AM
Some bank transfers are still reversible if sender flags it as unauthorized/involved with fraud. You will have a hard time finding someone who's willing to trust you with that amount even with escrow.

I think you're rushing OP. Start small and slowly build your trust.

Quote from: Coinoplex
The minimum is slightly high because I dont want to provide this service for many small transfers as that most likely will make the bank not happy..

The same goes for multiple big amounts and I wouldn't consider $1000+ small

META: your thread is more appropriate in Currency Exchange (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0)
1472  Economy / Exchanges / Re: rescue crypto from hitbtc on: October 25, 2021, 09:15:56 PM
they demand that "terrorist" to provide tons of personal data and when he does they at first like it and then they dont. Unimaginably moronic.
Honestly, i dont feel like talking with them anymore. they are responding me TWICE already with the ABSOLUTE SAME pattern reply though i been asking QUESTIONS both times.

It's hitbtc's "make them rage quit" move. If they succeed, not only will they get to keep the money but the user's personal documents as well. I'm not sure if it works for hitbtc but try to share your story in as many communities as possible in hopes of itching hitbtc.

the most obvious thing which instantly comes up to mind is to contact a lawyer. is that the only last option i have and will it practically get this job done?

No genuine lawyer can guarantee you will get your money back, they have no control over the court or hitbtc. This is why a lot of ppl will tell you to not go for it if you'll end up spending more on lawyer fees. I would first try letting hitbtc know I'm planning to seek legal options if they don't get their shit together.
1473  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ■■ Tviton.net - instant exchanger SCAMMED me ■■ on: October 25, 2021, 11:26:06 AM
Tbh. Their alibi is hard to buy. They just need to look into their logs and cross check with what info OP has provided. How is it not technically possible?

Tviton: the fault that the customer has lost the funds completely his as
not specifying memo in the cryptocurrency xlm is the same as to send
cryptocurrency to another address

Completely different scenario actually. As long as the coins is sitting in an address they control of (or whatever purse they have), there's a chance to recover it (in this case, manually credit is a more appropriate term) contrary to sent to a wrong address situation where the exchange has absolutely no control nor knows who owns it.
1474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who owns bitcoin foundation? on: October 24, 2021, 07:45:55 PM
Have you tried using the wayback machine? (https://web.archive.org/)

Found some timelines as well: (as usual take it with a grain of salt if no reliable source is cited)

I tried subscribing twice but nothing happened  Undecided
1475  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Steps before getting into trading on: October 22, 2021, 10:15:13 AM
What are the first few steps before getting into trading?

Answer: Read the replies to the many threads you started

1. Understand trading

What are the most recommended methods that one could use to Understand trading?

Trading has become fairly popular, as it is now accessible to everyone while also increasing one's income. However, a lack of information can be risky because it might result in losses. This is why, before entering the forex market, one should get a thorough understanding of the subject.

2. Before getting into trading

When one first enters the trading game, it is most often challenging to know how to prepare for it. Even if it is an appealing approach to increase profit, it would not be as fruitful as one may imagine without a fundamental understanding of the basics and a few preparations.
How should one prepare before getting into trading?

3. online course for trading

What are the things to keep in mind when looking for an online course for trading?

4. Before getting into trading

Is it really necessary to take a course before getting into trading?
1476  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to deposit and withdraw on exchange on: October 22, 2021, 12:18:18 AM
Most exchanges already have guides for basic use such as withdrawal and deposit in their help center/FAQ

Binance: https://www.binance.com/en/support/faq/c-2?
Kucoin: https://support.kucoin.plus/hc/en-us/categories/900000380926-Deposit-Withdraw

Won't be listing probit and coinsbit for reasons mentioned but they do have it.
1477  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KuCoin is freezing my funds and not providing adequate customer supporr on: October 21, 2021, 10:07:29 AM
Update: My funds are still stuck Sad

But did you follow the above posters suggestion? Live chat? bitcointalk ANN thread? I'll be adding their subreddit as well (https://www.reddit.com/r/kucoin)

Are you living in the US?

OPs past posts says they are indeed a US person. BUT KYC for US persons isn't supported in kucoin...

kucoin_moderator: If you forgot your trading password, you'll need to undergo Identity verification which is different from KYC. Please check the process here: Part 3: How to Reset the Trading Password
OP: @kucoin_moderator can I do KYC from the US?
kucoin_moderator: Unfortunately, we don't support KYC verification of users from the US

OP: Hello I am from the USA and it says both here and on your website it is fine for us citizens to use kucoin. I tried to submit KYC and it failed. Are US users allowed to do KYC?
kucoin_moderator: KuCoin has not made any adjustments to our policies. Out of respect to the company's operational requirements, we are only providing service for countries listed in the KYC countries list (US is not included), in order to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If a user's country is not included in the list, unfortunately, we are temporarily unable to verify the user's KYC. Rest assured that on KuCoin, KYC is not mandatory, you can still do transactions even if you are not verified yet. However, there'll be a withdrawal limit of 5 BTC per 24 hours for unverified accounts. Thank you!

It's quite deceptive to still encourage a user from a restricted country to use your platform knowing there can be hidden precautionary setups that may require them to KYC.

But kucoin does seem relatively laxer, OP may have a chance to get their funds out after talking it out.
1478  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase, how to contact support on: October 21, 2021, 07:55:49 AM
the thing is that fields are blocked after first category so its impossible to complete request

Are you talking about the email submission form? (https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us) It works fine on my end.

The categories are meant to be chosen one after another otherwise the rest would be greyed out e.g. 2nd field will only be available after 1st field is filled out.

If that's what you did and you still have the same problem, clear cookies&cache/try with a different browser/different device/different internet connection
1479  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kucoin scam on: October 20, 2021, 09:38:27 PM
No, there is no queue I could find. It's just a bot repeating the same thing.

Just tried it. Quick rundown of how it went for me

1. Selected the corresponding categories
2. When asked to rephrase the problem, i typed in "i want to change my trading password"
I first tried "i forgot my trading password" but it didn't register
3. Then I was asked if the issue is resolved. I chose "No"
4. Queue form popped out.

No response on Reddit.

If you don't mind revealing the reddit account, we can help with the upvotes.

I might as well ask, did you try this?

1480  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kucoin scam on: October 20, 2021, 12:34:36 AM
Kucoin reddit mods (https://www.reddit.com/r/kucoin/) can escalate your ticket number for you. But do beware of impostors, always verify who you're talking to and don't give more than your ticket number.

For their live chat, were you able to get yourself in the queue?
