641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS THIS TRUE ABOUT CRAIG WRIGHT ? on: April 09, 2019, 02:53:38 PM
There are delusional people that believe Craig Wright is actually Satoshi.  Until he is able to sign one of those early addresses I refuse to believe anything he says.  Guy went and collected degrees from some unkown college to appear more credible.
642  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the next economic collapse trigger massive crypto adoption? on: April 09, 2019, 02:49:21 PM
I don't think the masses are ready for crypto adoption yet.  There is just too much risk for the average user, once your funds are stolen there is no chance to get them returned.  Average people are dumb and they don't want to be in charge of their own security, they feel safer with banks and credit cards.  I don't agree with them but this is how average people think.
643  Economy / Speculation / Re: Investors and HODLERS in the world, don't look for further lows!! on: April 09, 2019, 02:10:48 PM
The road to 100k will be much more difficult, its a lot easier to move the price when the total market cap is in the tens of billions.  This is still a very small amount of money.  Once the total marketcap starts nearing the trillions it will take a lot more investors to push the price up.
644  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Could Blitz Beyond $150,000 During Next Bull Cycle in 2023 on: April 08, 2019, 04:02:01 PM
Eventually the price will be so high that people will use smaller units more often like mBTC or satoshis.  Its just not appealing to use large decimal places when selling this in btc.  I know electrum and casinos are starting to use mBTC more instead of the standard btc but it still has low adoption.
645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Investors and HODLERS in the world, don't look for further lows!! on: April 08, 2019, 03:54:03 PM

lmfao its a bit too early to be celebrating this much.  We still have to do a 4x just to reach the previous all time high and people are already calling for a 100k price.

We haven't even left earth's atmosphere yet. Grin
646  Economy / Speculation / Re: "Buy the dip" is only a strategy for losers on: April 08, 2019, 03:42:54 PM
Buying the dip is a smart move but you should never go all in on any price level.  Always keep some cash available and level in your buys in case it drops lower.
647  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what trading has made me on: April 08, 2019, 03:21:40 PM
Usually people become addicted to crypto because they have enjoyed a lot of profit. So just enjoy your world in crypto, until crypto is completely gone or dead. Maybe you can move on.
I don't mind getting addicted as long as I make profit.
That's our purpose in trading here, if we make profit we love to do it again and again to maximize our income.
If addiction is bad in general, maybe we can have an exception here in crypto.

Even if you are making profit there are many other business ventures out there where you can make much more money with less effort required.  The only real winners in trading are the exchanges.
648  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Too easy to manipulate? on: April 08, 2019, 02:58:40 PM
These billionaires can easily make the price jump 10-20 % with relatively small purchases.  Imagine the movement Jeff Bezos could make happen on the crypto markets if he threw a few billion in bitcoin.  Throw a few billion into USD and nothing even happens.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Revival is On The Way - According to a trader on: April 08, 2019, 02:49:56 PM
Bitcoin doesn't need a revival because it never died.  It still works just as fine when the price is low.  Still handles millions of transactions  across the globe without middleman.   But most people see it as a speculative tool instead of what it is meant to be.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any Sports betting websites with 0% house edge? on: April 08, 2019, 02:41:41 PM
A 0% house edge will not generate income for the online casino site, to keep their doors open. A 0% house edge will also generate a lot of trafic to the site and traffic = bandwidth. How will a site like this pay for the bandwidth and maintenance and also support staff?

The only way this will work, is if the site hosts many other games with a higher house edge, which would generate the income for the site, but their Sport betting games will have to draw in the crowd with it's 0% house edge. <The site might just get Sport betting players and they might not play the other games?>  Tongue

A site like this could easily make a profit from ad revenue alone if they were able to attract a lot of players.  A 0% house edge will have people scrambling to get a piece of the action.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Grin, Ravencoin, or Beam? on: April 08, 2019, 02:40:00 PM
Not a fan of coins that have a tax like beam does.  This is why I think zcash is complete shit.  Honestly I think all three of the coins you mentioned are not good investments.  Just stick with bitcoin and ethereum if you want to see real profits overtime that aren't just pump and dumps.
652  Economy / Speculation / Re: I SMELL FOMO on: April 03, 2019, 03:34:14 PM
a "dead cat bounce" doesn't last this long, price should have already dropped down to $3100 if it was really one of them. additionally a "dead cat bounce" requires a "dead cat" to bounce and bitcoin is not dead unless YOU think otherwise!

this is not a FOMO either, not exactly anyways. there is obviously some FOMO in every rise but a real FOMO would be if price went up to $7000 not from $4100 to $4700 which was a 14% rise. and that is only 4% higher than the amount that we usually consider daily fluctuations!

I'm active on a lot of platforms (youtube, reddit, twitter,) and I see a lot of FOMO starting to form.  People are really optimistic about this next bull run and are scrambling to buy.  Also with the halving not too far off we will see a rush to accumulate btc before the next drop in inflation.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: THE TRUTH on: April 03, 2019, 03:28:33 PM
Mining is still profitable otherwise people wouldn't be doing it. The profit margins have fallen for those that live in countries like the UK where energy costs are continuously rising.

Thats not entirely true, some criminals are fine with mining at a loss if they can generate clean money.  Also governments that are mining are effectively doing it at zero cost so they are just converting fiat to system that actually takes effort to get.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen with etc when eth goes POS ? on: April 03, 2019, 03:23:09 PM
Price will jump sharply as Ethereum gets locked up for POS.  POS is a better system for conserving energy, the amount of energy that POW consumes is massive.  There are a lot of proof of stake haters just because they think only the proof of work system has merit.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending altcoin without fee? on: April 03, 2019, 03:16:32 PM
Altcoins usually have a very low sending fee that its practically non existent.  There are also some coins like NANO that are supposed to be instant and have no fees.

Fees generally aren't a problem except if there is massive fomo like we saw with the bitcoin fees during the last bullrun.
656  Other / Off-topic / Re: I want to buy home with bitcoin. on: April 03, 2019, 03:03:48 PM
I have few bitcoins if price going up properly I want to buy my dream home with the BTC.
HOPE FOR THE BEST...
Pray For me guys..

A few bitcoins won't be enough to buy a dream home unless your dream is a very small home or you live in a really poor country.  Regular houses cost at least $1million in big cities like Los Angeles or San Francisco.
657  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela hit by new nationwide powercut for more than three days on: April 02, 2019, 04:59:13 PM
You know things are tragic when Venezuelans have resorted to farming digital items in video games for money.  Playing a video game is better money than working in their own country.

I know someone that has been mining in Venezuela and they still haven't been discovered.  Its extremely good money for them if they can stay hidden.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 02, 2019, 04:53:32 PM
Even though the Lakers had a bad season they still made the right business decision to bring in Lebron.  LBJ has generated a lot of merchandise sales, tv coverage, and mega hype around the city.  Sometimes its not about just winning, remember that the NBA is a business.
659  Economy / Economics / Re: Hedge funds with public ROI? on: April 02, 2019, 04:42:17 PM
Crypto is far too risky for traditional hedge funds right now.  People are not going to put their life savings into an asset that has fallen 80 percent.

Hedge funds generally aren't even worth the money, your better off just sticking your money in index funds.  Hedge fund fees eat away at your profits.
660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading. on: April 01, 2019, 07:39:11 PM
I know a few people who got really cocky after making a few successful trades only to lose everything in the end.  Its important to know your limits and realize that the majority of people fail when it comes to day trading.
