Hi Vertoe, I'm curious to how you would envision DASH transitioning from being "decentralized". One thing I firmly believe was the need for strong leadership at the start of this of project. Too much is at stake in the initial development not to have "centralized" development with someone running the show, it would be impossible. Bitcoin is an example....it wouldve been to hard initially to do other wise. That being said....I believe that as DASH finishes beta...and is ready for full deployment....this certainly needs to go beyond the care of 1 individual. 100% agree on that....no eventual currency could be fully rolled out with that being the case. IMHO....so the question then is....how does the project as it nears completion progress to the next stage? Rich |

 The logo looks better with a full "A". Propulsion, you are a board member, no? Maybe you guys can talk about it and make the best decision? Maybe ask the creator of the logo if he agrees as well? I hope they don't put "anonymous, instant scalable...." anywhere near the name. We absolutely need to not use those words. I've talked with lots of people... They like and get digital cash... And it's implied that because it is digital "cash" it is private.... Words like anonymous, cryptocurrency.... Are terms we as geeks like... But freak the hell out of mainstream. We are trying to hard... It's a brand/logo and that's it. We need a campaign to attract merchants to except DASH. We should be instead spending energy creating easy startup "Merchant Kits" with very streamlined easy to follow steps. Everything from how to download a wallet, to how exchange or trade their dash for "cash". This is where we need to spend time. DASH is a great name... It works, it's simple. |

Yes, it's the same blockchain and address pool. Thanks for info So it seems I could just send my Darkcoins from local wallet to a new Dash wallet, also on a local machine and that would be it? I can tell from your linked in that you got some serious security skills... Wow. I'm not techie but I just shut my old wallet... Downloaded and installed the new one and everything was up and running... I didn't send any coins or anything. Of course I back up my wallet... But it's all good on my end. Edit: not sure if this is the or proper method... Anyone chime in? |

Is this masternode blinding explained technically anywhere?
I don't have a link off-hand, but the gist of it is inputs are forwarded by randomly selected (by the wallet) masternodes to the currently active masternode. Therefore the active masternode can't correlate inputs to ip addresses. Very curious to see how this is solved. Especially how its possible to ensure that a masternode cannot determine the IP addresses of other masternodes it communicates with. This is currently nearly ready for testnet or is on testnet....waiting to get some feed back right now. This will be a great feature for further securing transactions. |

^ Thats strange,Dash BC take 1 hour too,but Bitcoin BC take over 4 hour to download with same PC/connection... Edit: Guys,stop selling, bot and whale working together to buy more cheap,less and less volume...we can see over time Order going lower and lower. This is bigger than bitcoin fuck...  When mass will understand that.. wow.. Moon is coming  You really need to stop. We're all happy with the rise but it needs to churn a bit here and enough with the moon talk. Nothing sustainable would come from a near vertical move. Prospective buyers can easily do their due diligence and see the risk:reward here. Couldn't agree more. We need a gradual healthy increase. Etoque: A straight vertical move isn't going to get us to $100...the only way to do that is over a period of months, probably even years. I agree 100%. If this were to raise to $100/dash....I'd have to bail. Something would be very wrong with that kind of movement. Slow gradual and shallow up and down raises with a slow up tick is what is wanted, especially from something that we are developing into a currency. I looked at other coins doing 75% raises in a day and that raises all sorts of red flags. . Want an example of what is a good model?...BTC. Been steady mid 200 to 280 range for quite awhile...thats positive and creates stability. IMHO. |

I certainly hope so, cause it impossible to get coins without moving the price its certainly been a piss off! I'm really hoping that there is weekend profit taking and the price dips. It took my bank/exchange 1 week to get my cash into this last week. Just furious this week with this. I've been buying small 100DASH bits on the dips the last few days...but it really hurts when it goes from 2.95 to 5.95! aggghhh. Which exchange did you use from CAD --> BTC ? I just seens Cavirtex close... quadrigacx.com is now the CAD go to exchange. thanks mate I am recommending quadrigacx.com have had great service through them...not so much my bank....LOL Hey,Didn't found this information on the site,but with Cavirtex I was able to withdrawl CAD found to my bank without giving passport or driver licence(which I don't have,and that's why) Did you know if it possible to withdrawl without having an 'verified account' ? Thanks mate Sorry I don't have that info yet on them. But they are compliant so they may ask for that. Give them a phone call...they usually call back withen the hour if they don't answer right away. I've done some volume through them now. |

Big Story in China ....
Thanks Tungfa. b.t.w. what does "MLM" refer to ? I'm guessing it means the same as what MLM usually means - Multi Level Marketing. Reading the Google translated article it's hard to derive the context of why MLM is mentioned but MLMs are huge business in China (as they are in any new market where people haven't yet wised up to the pyramid nature of how they work) and the article's mentioning MLM banners and scams. I'd reckon MLMs are right up there as some of the dodgiest things people can get involved in in China so that's probably how they're referring to it in relation to these fake Darkcoin sites. Correct we + BTC have a huge problem with Pyramide / Ponzi Schemes in Hk and mainland China ! Honestly it is out of control ! they are pretending to sell DRK - Dash on their webpages, but - their "coins" only work on their system (NOT in our wallets) - their price is now 20 US$ + per coin - they promise 40-50% return + a Mercedes Benz when you bring more customers ! Gambling in china is illegal, so everybody invests, as that is the closest to it ! We are pushing hard into china for DRK - Dash (multiple Social Media Pages) + pushing hard against these scammers ! We are making official enemies over there !! We erased 27 'fake' accounts on DCT the other day (all coming from the same person in HK, connected to the the scammers) the QQ Group in china is doing all the groundwork, fighting the scammers head on, and educating real life victims (horrible stories) ! Dash official is planning a Chinese Language Page in HK (for china) in Mandarine (to be more accessible) + more Chinese Social Media Pages. All we really can do against these Ponzi's is educate and show presence. They are rebranding in the moment (with us) from DRK to Dash !! We will not get rid of them , that is for sure, but we can try our best to get a piece of their market !! And their market is HUGE ! Problem is under education, accessibility and none english of the chinese 'investors', that is how they fall into these traps. So this article i posted is amazing, as it is officially the 1st time anybody recognised this problem in china, we are working with the HK Press as well, and hopefully they will have a story out by next week.
