6601  Other / Meta / Re: Newb To Newbs: Gaining Merit Fast! on: March 29, 2018, 03:17:58 PM

I seriously hope a new rule to be applied: Newbies making threads about "Merit" = InstaPermaBAN
Should have strict rule like this in order to keep merit system works as one of powerful tools to control spammers to rank up, and to reduce spamming threads/ topics in the forum; to prevent the scenario of turning to 'shitshow forum' (sorry for these bad words, but I would like to emphasize this point). Several boards which designed only for serious discussions are un-allowable for low ranked users.
6602  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: March 29, 2018, 03:09:26 PM
I have a friend whos already a full member here before no merit needed in order to rank up, he said merit rules is new this is to avoid spam on the forum and only constructive and helpful reply will b given a merit
I don't think your thread is constructive, helpful, or useful, and of course, non-deserved merits. Why you published the thread with lots of basic information which everyone (not lazy users) can get in the OP of the topic (Theymos stated very clear in the OP).
If you only posted the thread to get activity-count, it's good for you; but looks like a spam in several aspects.
6603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: March 28, 2018, 04:26:29 AM
Oh, I lost my chance to get money from Byteball quizzes.
I was a little bit busy (heavy loads of works in my office), so I don't have spare time to join your quizze.
However, I highly appreciate your works to control cheaters, who simply tried to join quizz and get money. They should not do that.
About 500 users have passed the quiz since launch (despite frequent offs due to bugs, running out of money, running out of daily quota, etc) but I observe some share of fraud too.  It is not very large but concerning.  To reduce the incentive for fraud, the reward will now be reduced to $2.50.
thanks for sharing me link to get basic information about Byteball and its main currency on wiki.byteball website.
It helps me a lot.
Bytes, not byteball... you could learn something from the quiz! This is one of the questions:

What’s the  main currency of Byteball?
a - Byteball
b - Byte
c - Blackbyte
d - Bitcoin

6604  Other / Meta / Re: Is Talk merit an alt? on: March 28, 2018, 03:57:43 AM
Jet Cash joined Bitcoin talk to discuss Bitcoin and online payment systems. He learnt a lot from the members here, and he enjoys the discussions about Bitcoin, and the emerging crypto economy.

The flood of alt coins and the associated bounties and air drops has caused a massive increase in advertising to try to suck unwary investors into risky speculations. This has led to the pollution of the boards here by a tide of low quality posting by signature spammers. Jet Cash has become concerned that he spends too much time discussing the new merit system, which was introduced to combat this pollution, and he has asked me to take over so that he can distance himself from the need to make increasingly abrasive posts.

I hope you guys won't mind me taking on this role for him. He still plans to award merit quietly in the background, but he doesn't want to talk about it any more.
To be honest, it looks like you are merit beggar and liar (I hate to say this but I can not say something against my thoughts). It might be clearer and better if Jet Cash find the topic somehow (might be by chance) and let his thread on the topic to confirm your words, which I don't believe are true.
In addition, I don't see any demand to create such a topic as yours. Jet Cash is very actively help others in the forum, and sending high warnings about shit-posters will be add into his Ignore list.
I hope that you will not be added to his list.
6605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 27, 2018, 04:56:58 AM
~Additionally maintained is the cryptographic tie —called a private key—; between a person and their permission to spend an output from a previous transaction.
~
Conversely, a wallet doesn’t really “contain” Dash. A wallet maintains that private key for the user. If you tally up all the values of those outputs, controlled by that private key, you have figured out the “balance” of your wallet.
~
Excellent! This thread is extremely meaningful one because it reminds newcomers in the crypto world (even for old ones) about the key importance of private keys. Private keys contain all transaction histories, all information about accounts; users (of all cryptocurrencies) will lose all assets they have if they lose their private keys (might be fires, unexpected damages of hard-disks, accidentally deaths, etc.)
Please store your private keys in different places (of course, safe places) in different methods (digital (offline), paper, online types).
6606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💥SOLARIS XLR💥Masternodes⚡Android wallet ⚡Zerocoin⚡txbit.io in development on: March 27, 2018, 04:49:34 AM
After many quite excellent products of Solaris, it may be a good time to re-launch the signature campaign for community or the loyal supporters, right? Hope Dev consider to release it as soon as possible
Solaris team of developers and managers will re-open it at the right time. Which time is right time? At which period of time, the whole market should be good (upward trend); the Solaris project will come to its time to launch new products (for Solaris specific case, it might be txbit.io exchange, and some new products I don't know, and some important points in Solaris roadmap). In my opinion, the whole market tends to end its down-ward trend and wil start new up-ward trend and exponential growths in the next few weeks. So, please stay tuned for more interesting news from Solaris team in the near future (I hope).
6607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin- 7% Airdrop every week on: March 27, 2018, 04:45:10 AM
after airdrop the BTX go down agains.  Smiley
but i don't worries about it. i think BTX can grow when the airdrop end.

Nice job promoting devs, keep it up! More people know and understand this unique chance to get easy weekly gains, the bigger this will be, and the potential to be huge is definitely there.

It is not strange in the crypto ecosystem. Most of coins drops a little bit (if the whole market stay stable during that time) when campaign/ bounty participants got their rewards. Because they intentionally (most of them) to sell their rewarded coins to cash out to fiats and spend for their daily expenses or re-investing into other coins which they think better choice. However, BitCore is a good project, so I think it will be better to hodl the coin for long-term.

50 sM being giving away in the following thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3199334.0.
Yeah. I highly appreciate your generosity and your thread to announce about sMerits give away event for bitcointalk forum users. However, I don't really think that sort of campaign will help to build up better community, better users for the forum, generally. Why? In my point of view, it might be better if we can have events/ contests to motivate users to be more constructive in the forum through their threads and topics. That is also suitable with the original objectives of merit system.
Thanks and take it easy, it is simply  my thoughts.
6609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VSX] V3.5 Version - POS 3.0 - ZeroCoin - Masternodes - InstantTX [VSYNC] on: March 27, 2018, 04:36:02 AM
Those coins are your staking rewards for each block you found.
the purse was synchronized for a long time, but after synchronization I began to receive 11 coins in 1-2 minutes, my purse had 1400 coins, now I received 24000 coins for one day.

I am not sure about this, but we need to wait for next version of walllet from devs. My wallet staked good two days ago, but around 26-30 hours ago (I don't remember exactly, it got stucked, could not sync regardless of whatever I tried to do to fix).
I tried to send 100 coins to another purse, and I sent them, there is a message about it, but the coins never came within 24 hours.
what is the problem.
~
To sum up, I think all of us should keep calm, stop asking the same question over and over again, and stay tuned for more good news about verions 3.6.0 of Vsync wallet from its team.
Best wishes for Vsync project.
6610  Other / Meta / Re: Merit [NEW] on: March 25, 2018, 02:09:16 AM
Maybe you should step away from your computer, stretch, and go out into the real world for a few minutes.  I guarantee you'll find one thing after another, each more ridiculous than the last--and far more so than the merit system on bitcointalk.
That sort of annoying, lazy users should spend several minutes to look at the following topics:
TMAN's guide to getting merits (by TMAN)
Tips – Guides for forum search (by coly20032003)
The English language improvement thread (by Jet Cash)
Full Member thanks to merit system (by iasenko)
If they don't want to do this, or feel something like don't have time to read those ones (maybe due to have to spend most of their time to spam the forum with their shits, to beg for merits, to get money from campaigns, and so on.); I highly recommend they should leave the forum and find other ones that don't have strict ranking requirements like merit system.

You are the one full of bullshit and fairly apparent fantasy, karmicpanther.

I imagine that you are living in grandma's basement too with all your "tough talk" and your ongoing (double down) pie in the sky proposals.    Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
~
Agree with your stance about that guy. However, I think it might be better if you use snip un-used, un-necessary contents in your thread to save more space and make your thread become more comfortable for readers. To be honest, I have to scroll my computer mouse down for a while due to your over-quoted thread. It actually hurts my fingers.
Best regards,

First look on SnowGem Electrum wallet

Wow, looks professional user-friendly interface with Snowgem Electrum wallet. Will this one is a mandatory upgrade or optional one for Snowgem community?
At the current difficulty and total hashrates of Snowgem network (above 10.000 and 1.56 Mh/s, respectively), it has become harder and harder to mine Snowgem, and will become much more harder when Masternodes activated in the network in April this year.
https://explorer.snowgem.org/
I feel a little bit regret that I didn't mine Snowgem sooner, but I am going to try collecting enough Snowgem coins for my masternode.

Keep up your good works and have a good health, TXID

6613  Other / Meta / Re: MERIT SYSTEM PROBLEM on: March 14, 2018, 05:16:04 AM
I agree 100% with this and with your suggestion. The way merit system is set up today is so much open to cheating and creating a circle of friends that are going to merit themselves even for the silliest thing published. I agree that only mods and admins should give merit.
You are missing a point, my friend. You should read this one.
More mass merit farming

I agree the fact that there are many cheaters, merit farmers, merit exchangers who always try to cheat the young merit system to increase their merit points illegally. However, they will be tagged, reported and  banned sooner or later as you can see in the topic I show you.
Massive merit farmer was found and over 200 accounts banned immediately. I think this response is good for the forum.  Grin
6614  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirements too difficult to JR. Members on: March 14, 2018, 05:08:58 AM
Yes, it is more difficult for members in the forum to rank up, but it is possible.
Yes I really agree that MERIT requirements makes the life of all the low ranking members of this forum very difficult

NO! This is unavoidable fact when new rules, new system launched, admin can not keep all things fairly, equally because we can turn back to the beginning of the forum. So merit system will bring magic effects because higher member ranks are not enough for future campaigns, which might require stricter rules to join.
it is a big DISCRIMINATION for low ranking members like us, MERIT REQUIREMENT is just being imposed for the benefits of those high ranking members such as those FEW LEGENDARY MEMBERS who don't want LOW RANKING MEMBERS to be promoted to a much higher rank, they don't want members on this FORUM earn HIGHER PAYMENT just like they do they just want to keep it by themselves! So for me all I can say is that this MERIT requirements is just being made for the benefits of the high ranking members only.

6615  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: March 14, 2018, 04:51:56 AM
I personally think by merit points it is extremely hard especially for new members to increase their rank and they might lose interest in forum seeing this
I might be wrong personally i like the idea behind this but let's see how it goes.

You are right! Users who have such negative attitude actually don't belong to the forum in any aspect. They should leave the forum forever, find others to join. The forum is a good place for eagerly-to-learn users, not for spammers, fudders, money-makers. They should and have to leave because the merit system launched to control and (if possible) eliminate them out of the forum.
Real users who have right attitude, really want to learn, to contribute to the forum via their high-quality, informative, constructive posts will be ranked up sooner or later. I have no doubt about the fact.
Good luck, my friend.
6616  Other / Meta / Re: I've started an english language improvement thread on: March 10, 2018, 07:51:18 AM
Snip
It's okay to quote if quote contents are necessary for discussions. If not, posters should snip contents like my thread. Another situation is over-quoted thread, I mean sort of thread which quote older three, which in turn quote from earlier thread and so on. That one is called quote-over-quote thread ( I don't know how to call it exactly, hope that you understand what I mean). Those type of theses should highly avoid because they mostly will make reader extremely annoying. Users should delete unused contents to make i'their threads better.

6618  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet is the best? on: March 10, 2018, 05:56:04 AM
It is hard to answer your question because which one is best wallet totally depends on specific circumstance and which purpose you want.
1. Online wallet is best if you want to have access to your wallet on many different types of devices (desktop computers, laptops on different Operating systems like Windows, Mac OS, Android devices, etc.). However, online wallet put you depends on wallet service providers and their platforms. They have to trust them.
2. GUI wallets are best option when you want to store your coins by yourself on your personal computers. With this one, you have to be responsible for your storage, have to secure your wallet information by yourself against potential attacks from hackers, etc. You have to periodically back up your wallets and another risk is health condition of your hard risks. When it broken (by accidents related to fires, water, etc.) you will probably lose your coins. Additionally, you should have good hardwares for using and syncing wallets, for Bitcoin wallet, you will need Terabyte harddisk to load Blockchain database and sync your wallet.
3. Paper wallet. This one is best option if you want to save your private keys/ bar codes at different places. Again, you have to manage your own risks because your relatives, friends, thieves can get your private keys and steal all of your coins. Wallet papers are also under  higher risks of totally damaged by water, fire, etc.

To conclude, best wallets depends upon specific objectives and situation of users.
6619  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MERIT unfair? on: March 10, 2018, 03:52:22 AM
Someone said merit system is unfair
Someone said merit system in un-helpful
Someone said merit system is centralized
Someone said they can not get merits for their bad posts
Someone said they actually earn merits for their constructive posts
Someone said they can cheat the forum's admin, moderators to exchange merits
Someone said they can not rank up higher than their current position due to merit system
And so on ...

The fact is merit system is really useful, powerful in controlling spammers to rank up; but it is very meaningful, motivated system for ready-to-learn, constructive users.

Please accept the fact, stop complaining, and never starting such a spam topic, my friend.
6620  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit - how to up rank? on: March 10, 2018, 03:47:48 AM
~
I my best  to help people by responding to the queries they asked for but in reality no one send their merit.
Hi,

It sounds ridiculous (sorry if I make you annoying with my words)! I have spend several minutes (because I am curious about what you have done to help others in the forum). What I found is most of your threads written for reporting your works in bunches of Twitter campaigns you joined. Are those posts useful, helpful? I think you can definitely answer such a simple question. Honestly with yourself, are they helpful?
My answer is they are not.
So in a word "Please stop complaining because you have not tried helping others", consequently merits didn't come to your account.
Change the way you write your posts, be more constructive, then sweet merits will come.

Merits bless you, my friend.
