6061  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CopperMembership ~ real Member rank in campaigns - Is it fair ? on: August 17, 2019, 07:19:21 AM
What LoyceV did is great, but I still think LoyceV has too high requirements. 35 merits for Member rank, which made me sad months ago. Managers should have requirements like LoyceV, 10 - 15 - 20 merits is enough for that rank, I think.
Tongue
You know it's impossible, unless signature usage is tightly controlled by this forum and all service/manager are forced to use Content Management System (CMS) provided by this forum to run signature campaign. Is this what you meant?

Or do you mean Copper Member shouldn't get member's rank signature benefit and change it with something else?

It might become a trend, if there is no preventive solution. We all clearly see the fact that scam projects open their threads with Copper Member accounts, if not high rank accounts (probably real-own accounts from their team members or bought accounts).
And if there is no solution, bounties might motivate spammers to buy CopperMembership and keep spaming.
As I wrote above, they pay some money, so they make post more carefully - enough to not be banned, but still far from constructive.
However I don't think many people's using copper membership for signature, if there is manager should choose at least good poster.
Sure. If there are solutions for Yobit, there are solutions for others; especially Copper Spammers.
Quote
But, I think and believe admin could disable signature for copper membership ( likely it will not happen). Copper membership was implemented in order to post with image & some other benefits, (signature campaign wasn't intention of copper membership).
6062  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CopperMembership ~ real Member rank in campaigns - Is it fair ? on: August 17, 2019, 06:46:00 AM
It's OK to buy it, if you somehow loose your account (get banned) , you loose money. Those who have build up their account from scratch to reach Member won't risk it.
The forum makes some profit so that's good. Smiley
They are different:
- One grown up from scratch to become Member;
- Another one created account; bought CopperMembership.

I do not understand it, because I think Meta is for forum-related issues. This one relates to forum issues, in my opinion.
This has nothing to do with Meta, I think it should be in Reputation.
Well done, Sir!
Quote
Back ontopic: I've done that: I accepted Copper Members equal to Members, as long as they earned 35 Merit.
This has nothing to do with "being unfair", all users can buy Copper Membership if they want it. Campaign managers shouldn't pay spammers though, with or without Copper Membership.
Before they can be banned, due to community reports, they will be able to spam and get money. Or they are more careful than standard spammers, so they will hardly to get bans, but their posts are far from constructive.

Click "Report to moderator", they can still be banned.
6063  Economy / Service Discussion / CopperMembership ~ real Member rank in campaigns - Is it fair ? on: August 17, 2019, 06:19:07 AM
Forum has Paid Memberships, by now we have only one type: Copper Membership.
Details:
You can pay a one-time fee in order to increase the capabilities of your account. Be warned that:

  • You can still be banned if you break the rules. You will not get any special treatment.
  • These memberships are not guaranteed to last forever, or to offer the same benefits forever.
  • No refunds will be given.

Available paid memberships:

Copper - 0.00240385 BTC: Allows you to post images even if you are a newbie, reduces the time-between-actions limit, and provides some of the same benefits as being of natural Member rank.

In some campaigns, there are local rules that users who can wear same signature codes (for Copper Members and Members) will be eligible to join, and will be treated equally (same payment rates)

At current rate above, people simply have to pay around 0.0025 BTC to get that CopperMembership, and have rights to post images, and have benefits in signature limitations, they can wear signature for Member rank; at this point I hink it is fair!

However, it is somehow unfair if they have rights to join campaign and treated as Members who have to earn 10 merits to reach that rank.
They have to pay ~ 0.0025 BTC, at the current price of BTC at ~ $10300, the Copper Membership costs around $26.

There are some campaigns have pay rates ~ $5 - $6 per week; or even higher if they luckily get more with bounties.
Quote
Member- $.25 cents per post
Copper Members can get their capital back after ~ 2 months; they won't lose nothing, and they can keep spamming.

If there are restrictions on Copper Membership, to better prevent them spend small funds to be eligible for campaigns, bounties; and get money by spamming; I support it.

I suggest an additional rule:
Copper Membership: are restricted to join campaigns if don't reach Member rank from earned merits (10 merits in minimum).
6064  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My personal point of view as a beginner .... on: August 17, 2019, 02:38:01 AM
As a newbie, they should learn how to use Stop loss: One of the Best Weapons in Trading
Before making buy orders, people always should identify prices at which they will take profits and cut-loss. After their buy orders filled, set cut-loss orders to control emotions, just in worse cases.
6065  Economy / Services / Re: ▄■▀■▄ 🌟Bitvest.io🌟 - Plinko Signature Campaign (Member-Hero Accepted)(New2) on: August 17, 2019, 01:59:34 AM
This has been a long time coming and if you find yourself on the list, try and improve, that's all I can ask.

As of now I won't entertain any applications until we've revamped and removed these members.
I have been in the campaign for too long, and honestly it is a big pleasure for me to work with you and BitVest.
I am not happy when rates decreased weeks ago, and I hope rates will increase again; but it is life, and it should not be blamed as reasons to spam.
Clean up the house and clean up the forum, that what we all should do if we want to see signature and campaigns, bounties here for months to come.
I totally support your approach, manager.
Since 2018, what did you contribute to prevent signature ads removed globally?
6066  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How you guys are making money from this forum? ideas on: August 17, 2019, 01:55:49 AM
Before searching how to make money here, you should read forum rules, and my thread. Doing this as your very first step in order to contribute your very minor contributions to help forum will still have opened chances for good users to get money. If you (and others, too) keep destroy the forum through shitposts, yeah I definitely believe that someday forum might disable all kinds of signature, bounties, campaigns, as it was very long years ago.

6067  Other / Meta / Cleaning up the house in Bitcoin/ Altcoin/ Gambling Discussion boards on: August 17, 2019, 12:07:15 AM
I don't know exactly where they come from, but likely due to long-lasting complaints on terrible spamming and garbag posting in those following boards:
  • Bitcoin Discussion
  • Altcoin Discussion
  • Gambling Discussion
People usually visit threads in those boards, and instantly start writing, without few seconds to read last post(s) before they write. They probably only read thread title, and jump directly to make posts.

With supports from recently re-raised questions by those threads:
Limit signature campaigns
Spam sections
There is likely a cleaning-up wave in those boards. Heavens for spammers have been narrowed down dramatically.

Questions:
- Are there people manually report and help to clean up those boards?
- Are there bots recently activated to find spam- / garbage-posts, and help bot owners to report more productively (like what we saw with plagiarism)?

Requests:
- If someone can retrieve data on how many posts /threads deleted in those boards last week, and figure for a few previous weeks, please help
- I have an assumption on the same cleaning-up wave happens in Politics & Society / Trading Discussion / Economics boards, so if you can get same figures for those boards, please help.
List of other requested boards:
  • Politics & Society
  • Trading Discussion
  • Economics
  • Speculation

Posters can do it by avoid pyramid quotes or nested quotes. They can say making good on-topic posts is difficult, I don't know what I should say about that but spending a very few seconds to delete unused parts in quotes is not difficult. Posters should do that, at least.

By the way, please read my thread, if you are spammers/ garbage-posters.

CopperMembership ~ real Member rank in campaigns - Is it fair ? (this one, likely reduce positive net-effects of merit system)

6069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💥SOLARIS XLR💥100% PoS + Masternodes💥Txbit.io exchange is live now ! on: August 16, 2019, 02:48:55 PM
Last week of September will be one of the most important weeks of Solaris this year. It is so much happy to know that Solaris team have done major of their works for the codebase switch from PIVX to Stratis; and the team core approach to unify Solaris platform. Just a bit more polisments and tests before releasing. Sounds litle close to a new era for Solaris, but yeah I know the team will have loads of work to do and make smooth upgrade and release in weeks to come. Thank you for the announcement after very long waiting time.
6070  Other / Meta / Re: Since 2018, what did you contribute to prevent signature ads removed globally? on: August 16, 2019, 02:22:58 PM
Hmm. I think I've gotten so used to shitposts I kind of look through them.

I always report phishing stuff, blatant shilling of junk and necroposts.

When it's a 'Dear, bitcoin is a most excellent system of money for we can make profit' type post it's invisible to me.

As for merit my own views are - 3-5 to move up from newbie. Lower requirements for the middling ranks and the removal of all legacy ranks and airdropped merit.

It's been long enough now.
Admin does not want to change seriously and make the forum unfriendly for good newbies. I don't think he will require more merits for the Junior Member rank.

Remove of airdropped merits will make old Senior Members, Hero Members and Legendary members feel paranoid, like what theymos said on misuse or too serious use of trust system months ago. Good old users can rank up again, even their airdropped merits removed and they will be deranked. They definitely don't have issue to move up again, just need a little bit time. Nevertheless, once again, I don't think airdropped merits will be removed because of probably paraniods.
6071  Other / Meta / Re: Since 2018, what did you contribute to prevent signature ads removed globally? on: August 16, 2019, 12:17:44 PM
In the summer of 2018 the situation with the spam was so awful and I got so tired reporting alone so on 21 of July, I created the SpamBuster's Club, after that we have reviewed more than 20 000 accounts, significant part of those got banned. Thousands of comments got removed, and I think we pushed theymos to come up the badge idea,(just assumption here). Many things changed after the club was announced.
Merit system (original version), upgraded merit system (aims at Junior Members); your Spambuster club in 2018; and the bot to fight against plagiarism this year; together contribute to clean the forum. This year, thousands of accounts banned with supports from that bot.
I think the upgraded merit system brought a powerful tool to stop spammers creating new accounts, and their spamming severity and intensity decreased considerably too.
Bot (this year) cleaned up more by searching, reporting, and consequently help to ban so many accounts permanently, not only Brandnew, Newbies, but also top-ranks, like Hero and Legendary.

I guess which kind of next upgrade for merit system? KYC, possibly?
6072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💥SOLARIS XLR💥100% PoS + Masternodes💥Txbit.io exchange is live now ! on: August 16, 2019, 09:13:38 AM
We are getting closer now and I can't wait for the switch over to the Stratis code base and that there will be Solaris cold staking in the future. I prefer cold staking and will be doing this for sure once it is implemented. The team has done and continues to do a great job here and hopefully it will all pay off the them and the community in the near future.
The announcement gives me more motivation and more strength as well as belief to keep holding my Solaris coins. And if I earn profits from my tradings (with bitcoin, and other altcoins) I might seriously consider to invest more in cheap Solaris coin. The coming months are very important period for Solaris future; codebase switch, swap, and txbit.io's developments & customer expansions. As discussed and expected before, I have still waited for txbit.io on CMC. Hope that the exchange will be listed on CMC immediately (few weeks after codebase switch and swap finish)

If someone feel stressful with bitcoin dumps, and don't want to sell their bitcoin at the moment. They can take current low fees to move and consolidate their bitcoin.
Despite of bitcoin dumps and pumps last two days, and people went crazy with bitcoin tradings; at the moment as well as early today I observed, bitcoin transaction fees fell to 1 sat/byte. Fees for transaction with 1 input (148 bytes), 1 outputs (34 bytes) costs only 192 satoshis.
It is a best time to consolidate your bitcoin leftovers, but it doesn't last for too long. Hurry up.

6074  Other / Meta / Re: Since 2018, what did you contribute to prevent signature ads removed globally? on: August 16, 2019, 07:46:11 AM
Signature itself is harmless, it is just as same as username. If users don't abuse it with harzadous links, or abuse it by spamming and get a few cents from their spams.
Basically, everyone has rights to show off their ideas, discussions here; but if they abuse and make mono-conversations, thing will be different.
I hope the thread reminds shitposters that admin gave them second chance, or third chance (second one is merit system, third one is upgraded-merit-system, with Junior Member demotion), more correctly; to keep signature industry running here; gave them chance to earn some money. But if they ignore kindness of admin, who knows they will have fourth chance or not?

6076  Other / Meta / Re: Does this post deserve 10 merit? on: August 16, 2019, 06:53:08 AM
Quite possibly, it could have been a typo, @BlackBaron meant to send 1 merit and mistakenly send 10.

Don't want to drag this any further, just a thought lol.

ps: Tag system would be good idea, I think.

If that guy sent 10 merits due to typo (10 instead of 1), and carelessness (not check amount before clicking on Send button); there is no reason to tag that guy.
10 merits are small amount, and do not large enough to call as merit abusements. Tagging someone because sending 10 merits for a non-sense posts will make them paranoid. There are many posts like that, especially from renowned users.

Case should be closed, in my opinion.
6077  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 16, 2019, 06:47:42 AM

To be friday, they are a bit pessimistic, we will return to 10500, if we cross 10700 goodbye 4 digits.

BTCullish
I actually closed my position at $10800, so I am happy that I determinantly did that.
Yeah, $9k2 to $9k5 is important range for Bitcoin. If it fails to protect those supports, it might fall to around $8k. When it dips below $9k2, it will be so easy to fastly fall to $8k, because people will fall into panic again, and 20% drops to liquidate longers at $9k2 will occur. Not too difficult to happen if $9k2 broken. Anyway, if it occurs, $8k will be the last chance to accumulate cheap Bitcoin for it's next bill run around February to March next year. I don't think Bitcoin will start next bull run soon about December.
I set up my stop loss at $10k8.
Within the next five days, that is important period for bitcoin. Personally, I already made my stop-loss and profit-taking orders.
Like that (taking profits at $13300, while cutting loss at $10800):
I also suggest other newbie crypto-traders to do this. For experts, I don't mention about them here, because they actually can make better orders than mine.
6078  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 16, 2019, 06:40:38 AM
Bad news.

After yesterday's green everything is awesome candle, we got the red candle again, at least for now. Looks like it is going to test that 9.2-9.3k.

I'll buy some serious amounts if this goes below $8k. and I don't mean small potatoes like $100.
Yeah, like I said weeks ago. $8k to come, and when Bitcoin hits that range, we can say "Wow, let's all in invest in Bitcoin". It will be last chance to see bitcoin in that range for next four years.

Did you mean inverted cup & handle pattern?  Tongue

How deep you think we can go from here. Correction is always healthy. Never seeing below $14k will be awesome to see however nothing is certain in Bitcoin.
Around $8000, then boom, we will never see bitcoin stay below $14000.
I feel more interesting with the horizontal line at $8000. When people panicly sell at the range of $8000, we might see the next dump to $7.5k, and that time we might see last chance to buy cheap bitcoin, this year. If it happens, next 10 weeks, someone still miss it, will have never have other chances to buy cheap bitcoin. When really big bull run starts, bitcoin will fastly break $20,000. Nevertheless, I don't think that bull run will happen sooner that middle of December this year.
For now, enjoy the bounce, just be careful.
6079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Clone coins that use Ethereum code base to scam on: August 16, 2019, 05:06:01 AM
All clones should not be trusted, whatsoever they clone from, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Monero, etc. If they are clone coins, they are untrusted. Untrusted for their future success, and there are probability that they also try to steal money from disclosing private keys
6080  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What to do to avoid phising sites on: August 16, 2019, 05:03:24 AM
What I do is I bookmark the important sites that involves transactions like myetherwallet and some crypto exchanges. Some accounts that have 2fa will be difficult to hack even if you clicked a phishing sites. Popular browser like google chrome and mozilla firefox automatically detects malicious websites so it's best to use for everyone.
It is good to use bookmark, but bookmark does not completely help you to be safe from threats. Eg.tampering attacks on bookmark.
Remember site address is the best.
