6141  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system (infographic) on: August 11, 2019, 01:13:43 PM
Was the first merit receiver AdolfinWolf? I thought it was theymos who received merit, on the merit announcement thread itself. I'm not really much sure though.
You are wrong. Everyone in the forum got airdropped merits at the same time, but those merits are not received merits for contributions after merit system began. First received or earned merit in the forum is the first one that sent from theymos to AdolfinWolf for that thread asks for explanation on merit system. I think using first earned merit, is more correctly.
6142  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system (infographic) on: August 11, 2019, 10:05:28 AM
I would like to get site that can make infographic and download it when finished, without requirements to upgrade account.
I am thankful to your reminder, LoyceV. They are sMerits, not merits, I checked.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=topsend

In less than a day we already sent more sMerits (11k+) than sources will gain in a month (~8k). Anyone knows how many sMerits have been distributed to existing members?

About 600k.
The 600k airdrop was sMerit, not Merit. The total amount of airdropped Merit is much larger.

There was at least one incident in which theymos undid Merit transactions by sending "negative sMerit", and another in which he simply removed the original Merit transaction. In that case, a hacked account was used to send (I think) 3 times 50 sMerit, but I can't easily find back the reference thread.
I might try to search, and I remembered that was a hot topic months ago. It is likely @DdmrDdmr is one of people posted merit tx of those abused merit transactions, and other from one or two merit sources (that removed as sources later). All of them reverted back by admin, I remember.
Nearly found it, but still need details of first reverted merits!
Here's a piece of potential gossip.

It appears that within the past day or two, the number of merit sources has gone down from 120 to 119.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=sources

And it was a big one, 1000 sMerits worth - the total went down from 23045 to 22045:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5030366.msg45811297#msg45811297

I'm gonna guess it was QuestionAuthority.

Anyway, for now, my priority is a free site on which I can create infographic and download it, for free. Please help if you know it, everyone.
6143  Other / Meta / Merit system (infographic) on: August 11, 2019, 04:52:23 AM
This is my first time I made an infographic, and still can not publish or download it after creating from free account. I have to upgrade from free account to publish/ download it. As a result of that, after creating, I have to copy and into Word, crop, then copy into Paint, and upload it into Imgur. At the end, the infographic looks blurred, and low quality. So if anyone knows which site allows to directly publish infographic with free account, please help. I will use it to make new one and update OP later.

6144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 10, 2019, 05:45:09 PM
$9-9.5k is the first solid support, if it hodls (probably it will), jump back to $11k. If it doesn't, $7.5-7.8k is waiting. (unlikely) We couldn't leave it, went back into the wedge.

The next 2 months are critical.
https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/3l1JOd99-Wedge/
Yeah, $9k2 to $9k5 is important range for Bitcoin. If it fails to protect those supports, it might fall to around $8k. When it dips below $9k2, it will be so easy to fastly fall to $8k, because people will fall into panic again, and 20% drops to liquidate longers at $9k2 will occur. Not too difficult to happen if $9k2 broken. Anyway, if it occurs, $8k will be the last chance to accumulate cheap Bitcoin for it's next bill run around February to March next year. I don't think Bitcoin will start next bull run soon about December.
I set up my stop loss at $10k8.
Within the next five days, that is important period for bitcoin. Personally, I already made my stop-loss and profit-taking orders.
Like that (taking profits at $13300, while cutting loss at $10800):
I also suggest other newbie crypto-traders to do this. For experts, I don't mention about them here, because they actually can make better orders than mine.

I wish that someday in next two years, I will become rich and can make a vacation trip to Europe, includes the Netherlands, and Amsterdam, of course. I have a big love with Netherlands and Italy.

Is there any worst possible idea?
A new IBM patent describes a peer-to-peer network for managing and storing browsing session data on a blockchain.
Quote
The browser collects pre-specified information from web browsing sessions, according to the patent. The information is then transferred to a network of peer-to-peer nodes for collection and storage.

I am wearing one of those and someone want to save my browsing history on the blockchain...

I do agree it is one of the worst idea ever. Storing such private data of users on blockchain, it's too bad. I don't think anyone want to see such ideas implemented in reality.
6147  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 10, 2019, 03:33:22 PM

Yes, dump it to $108xxx at least, within next 8 hours.
6148  Economy / Gambling / Re: Warnings! A new wave of attacks on renowned casinos. on: August 10, 2019, 07:24:56 AM
It's very important to bookmark if you do have a favorite gambling site to play your games, it will helps you to avoid being victimized by those fake website who's intentionally hacked gamblers account, it's always better to prevent or avoid things to happen if in case that you are unsure always
double check before opening or visiting any websites not only in gambling but also those important website that you always visiting.
Bookmark can be tampered too, so it is safest if you bookmark URL of your favorite and important sites in you mind, not simply bookmark them in browsers. Typing exactly URL of sites you want to visit and log in your accounts in address bar in your browser. Then, no attackers can trap you with their phising sites.

Some plans to take profits for hodlers in 2021 for very long term, and in medium term till the end of this year.

Here is my chart mentioned on one of my videos. Either utility is activated or we wait for 1 year for first moon shot of 7000%? This chart is a scenario if we follow previous market structure.

Here is the comparison of the trend from 2015 and 2019. We completed move A, now we are in move B. And this could even take till December to play out.
6150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 10, 2019, 06:56:11 AM
Am I wrong or the fact that any of the answers in the poll is highlighted in bold means you didn’t vote in the poll?
Did you see that the poll was locked already?
6151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 10, 2019, 04:05:18 AM
I discovered interesting fact. Wall Observer is the biggest thread in the forum, and many users visited to read, or joined discussion here (from Newbies to Legendary members). However, the vote  (last round) shows only 113 voters. Where are others? Why did you not join the vote?
6152  Economy / Gambling / Re: Warnings! A new wave of attacks on renowned casinos. on: August 10, 2019, 02:34:03 AM
I use avg antivirus so I dont have these types of problems

Lol, are you serious? anti-virus and you think you will not be a victim here.

You are a classic example of why scammers still ploy cryptoverse because there are a lot of uneducated users. If I'm not in your shoes, you better read and go around the forum to learn how to protect yourself better dude.

The lesson here is not to click on any links and not trust anyone here. Used our common sense to see the URL or better yet bookmark the sites just to be sure, so stay safe everyone.
Exactly warning! Such kind of careless people, who solely depend upon protection and warnings of antivirus softwares on potential threats are perfect targets of hackers. If they don't change their careless habits, they will soon have opportunities to learn from their own lessons, and they will never forget about their own bloody money-lost lessons.

Correct, what I mean is devices should be secured as much as possible, and should be the first priority of anyone who want to enter crypto world. Without devices security, they will lose money sooner or later.
6155  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ⚠️ How Scammer tried to Hack my Bitcointalk and how to Protect yourself?⚠️ on: August 09, 2019, 11:36:09 AM
another way to secure your profile is to Stake your Bitcoin address
This step is only helpful to secure forum accounts, not to secure bitcoin.  Grin
Hackers can hack your computers, steal your account, and steal your money.
You can use signed message to get your account back, while your bitcoin will be stolen forever. There is no backwards trip for your bitcoin from hackers to you.
6156  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Custodial vs. Non Custodial Wallets - "Not your keys, not your coin" Explained. on: August 09, 2019, 11:32:33 AM
Currently all out of sMerit but ill put some on this post when i have some, thanks for this Smiley ill edit this in to the OP
I gave you one for your good thread. Honestly, I have not known about Custodial and Non-custodial wallet terms before reading this thread. I knew about the importance of fully control on private keys, that is why I use Electrum wallet for my bitcoin. Nevertheless, as I admited, did not know about those terms before. You are a good case demonstrates that a Newbie can contribute helpful things for forum users. Much appreciated.
6157  Other / Meta / Re: Should I lock my Chance to Rank Up thread for Newbies and Jr. Members? on: August 09, 2019, 10:53:26 AM
It is better for Pmalek if he gives his sMerits away if he occasionally see good posts. Merits are for good posts, so why not spreading merits through sMerits by chance.

Merits born originally for this purpose and should be used for this, whenever merits still exist in the forum.

Joining or not joining your contest or other contests, good posts are still good posts. And good posters can be verified easily by looking at their post histories.
6158  Other / Meta / Re: Limit signature campaigns on: August 09, 2019, 10:23:42 AM
@Natalim. That is why good companies hire professional, experienced, trusted managers to manage and promote their projects. It is better for companies in cost-effectiveness aspect. Good managers with their strict rules to choose participants among applicants will make sure average quality of participants is high, or at least above average (compare to other campaigns managed by bad managers.)

Hey hd49728 - maybe you can also post a reference link to LoyceV's - [AUG 2019] Fees are low, use this opportunity to Consolidate your small inputs!
You likely missed it. I posted it in OP, with first version of this thread, or in very first editing times. Tongue

Oh man, sorry about that....  I apologized.... Grin
No problem, @Baofeng. I will edit OP later. Holding it, and move it to Reference list.
By the way, I checked and saw transaction fees temporarily fell to 1 Satoshi/ byte. Now, everyone, let's move your coins or consolidate them at cheap fees. Hurry up.

At the moment, transaction fees fell to 1 sat/byte. Fees for transaction with 1 input (148 bytes), 1 outputs (34 bytes) costs only 192 satoshis.
It is a best time to consolidate your bitcoin leftovers, but it doesn't last for too long (when bitcoin falls deeper, people will fall into panic sellings, and fees will rise again). Hurry up.

At the moment, transaction fees rose to 34 sat/byte. Fees for transaction with 1 input (148 bytes), 1 outputs (34 bytes) costs only 6528 satoshis.
It is surely not a best time to consolidate your bitcoin leftovers. Earlier today, I saw fees rocketed to 54 satoshis/ byte, just around 12 hours ago.
