6601  Other / Meta / Re: Should Bitcoin Wall Observer thread be deleted? on: September 04, 2020, 08:01:40 AM
id say the majority of merit being holed up and distributed within a single thread is pretty harmful  Undecided

Most threads last a day or two at most. That thread has been going on for years, so your categorical statement does not make sense.
6602  Other / Meta / Re: Should Bitcoin Wall Observer thread be deleted? on: September 04, 2020, 06:40:12 AM
But on that thread signatures are not displayed so I don't think they are getting paid for their posts there.

A question for veteran members: did that thread change a lot since the merit system was introduced? If so, it means OP is right, if not, OP is wrong.

Asking WO members to prove themselves guilty is quite a pointless task dont you think  Tongue

I'm not asking just WO members. I am asking all veterans.
6603  Other / Meta / Re: Should Bitcoin Wall Observer thread be deleted? on: September 04, 2020, 06:32:58 AM
When I go to the WO thread I only see people enjoying themselves and this makes the thread unique. It seems to me it is a much better thread than most threads on the Bitcoin Discussion or Gambling sections.

As for you analysis on merit, AFAIK, merit is not only given for quality posts it is many times for being funny and I see it is given for that reason there many times.

This basically means that merit has become insanely inflated in WBO and legendary rank has become relatively easy to earn, really demeaning the value of the rank, legendary rank was supposed to be reserved for people who get merited alot due to their contributions to this forum, but due to WBO, there have been alot of new legendaries who really just got alot of merits because they pleased the WBO community and participated in the echoing of their opinions between each other, This is problem is also exaggerated due to signature campaigns, legendary rank members can gain a very high price for their signature, which also rewards the members of WBO and provides them incentive to continue this practice.

But on that thread signatures are not displayed so I don't think they are getting paid for their posts there.

A question for veteran members: did that thread change a lot since the merit system was introduced? If so, it means OP is right, if not, OP is wrong.

I am a multi millionaire with no agenda.
The market will prove it to you.
Keep buying the dip. I'll be praying for you

You're not going to come back here when your prediction fails to acknowledge that you've made a fool of yourself.

Multi-millionaire.

LOL
6605  Economy / Speculation / Re: sell now or you WILL regret it on: September 03, 2020, 11:08:51 AM
Can you show us proof of all the money you've made making predictions like that?

If you're that good, I guess you'll be writing on the forum from your yacht.

What worries me is that it looks like the U.S. is headed for a civil war. ...

I'm not seeing any rationale for a civil war, except on the part of the Democrats and Left: "We want power! We want power and it doesn't matter the people won't give it to us!"

That is quite usual in the left. In fact, that is how Lenin came to power.

What worries me is that it looks like the U.S. is headed for a civil war. And I have a feeling that if Trump wins, the BLM movement is not going to take it well.

I hope he didn't put all his eggs in one basket.

If I had 1400 bitcoin in an electrum wallet, I would also have at least 1000 in some other wallet and apart from that a lot of money in fiat, stocks, mutual funds etc.

6612  Other / Serious discussion / Re: 12 Coronavirus Autopsy Cases Reveal TRUTH About How Coronavirus Patients Dying on: August 28, 2020, 05:15:04 AM
try looking at NHS websites
in 30 seconds i found 2 studies..
one done using deaths between feb-april
and another from feb-august

where it was 3-4% of people died with no co-morbidities (many hundreds of people(atleast 1300))

so as others suggest. i think its your inability to use google. or avoiding actually getting results that make you not find it

so just actually try finding the data instead of lame excuses to avoid it

Yes, but that also happens with the flu. The vast majority of people who die from the flu or flu-related causes are very old and/or have co-morbidities. But there is also a small percentage of young, healthy people who die every year.

I know (rather knew) two cases. Both in their mid-thirties, both healthy. They got the flu, it complicated by pneumonia, they didn't respond to the treatment and died.

Instead of what OP says, I'd say if you are healthy it is quite unlikely (although not impossible) that you are going to die from coronavirus (or the flu).

Interesting info.

Being the owner of a casino is a better strategy than being a player, because being the owner the math is in your favor. But to make money the casino has to work and there is a very tough competition.

One problem I see is that the Curaçao license does not legally entitle you to operate in many countries where a specific license from that country is required to operate.

Crypto casinos operate this way but I don't know why they haven't had any trouble with authorities from regulated countries.

Hi mate, I saw you opened another thread on meta. This could be against the rules, although I'm not sure at 100%.

I would advise you to lock one of them.

6616  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has the s&p500 already made a full recovery? on: August 25, 2020, 03:41:25 AM
As for buying those "risk assets" on the dips, that's good advice for short-term traders, but not for long-term holders such as myself.  I probably ought to be selling everything for cash right now, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

With stocks and gold at ATHs, and BTC breaking yearly technical resistance.....why?

I could understand selling in March-May when it looked more like a bull trap. Now it looks like a bull market.

I get The Pharmacist's idea. It's just sell high, buy low. March-May was a good time to buy. Now it's time to sell. As stocks have broken ATHs, they may keep going up for a while, but you never know when the trend is going to reverse.

If you sell now, you make a profit, if you sold in April, you probably made a loss.

Anyway, if the money you invest it's money you don't need (as it should be) I think it is better to just keep buying regularly, dollar-cost averaging, than trying to time the market.
6617  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has the s&p500 already made a full recovery? on: August 24, 2020, 07:44:18 AM
I keep hearing that the S&P 500 is going to explode again like since 2012 or so.

I also think that at the moment it is overrated, but I find it curious that in a bitcoin forum they talk so clearly about the S&P bubble.

Were there many people in this forum saying that there was a bubble in the bitcoin in December 2017 and that the price did not correspond with its fundamentals?

Many modern bubbles have to do with the massive printing of fiat money. Much of that money ends up in assets such as the stock market, bitcoin or the real estate market

As for certain stocks, like Tesla, the current P/E ratio or other fundamentals don't justify their price but people buy them because they make projections about the future. They think they are going to make much higher profits, etc.

Similarly, in December 2017 there were people who thought that bitcoin could continue to rise because of future projections.

I think the S&P has recovered simply because the future doesn't look as dark as it did in March.

I use ginger for headaches, I'm doing very well. I started taking it because I saw it was used for many things in Chinese medicine. I decided to try it and it worked for me.

I've told other friends who've tried it too and they say they're doing well too.

I usually take a teaspoon of ginger powder in the morning, and if I feel a headache coming on during the day, another one.

I used to take lots of pills for my headaches. Like 2-3 days every week. Now I only take a pill once a month on average, when I have a very strong headache and the ginger relieves it but not completely.
6619  Other / Politics & Society / Re: History: Spanish flu, Over 50 million death. on: August 22, 2020, 10:21:57 AM
I am worried that there is much more talk of vaccines and drugs than of strengthening the immune system, as has been mentioned.

But of course, that doesn't sell. Sleeping well, eating a healthy diet, sunbathing / optimizing vitamin D levels, etc. do not give profits to the pharmaceutical industry.
6620  Economy / Speculation / Re: This time when the stock market crashes, Bitcoin will go to moon! on: August 21, 2020, 08:05:19 AM
the only reason why bitcoin price dropped during the worldwide panic was that the bull market hadn't started yet and price was stuck behind a rather strong resistance and couldn't break it. so the tendency to drop was already there and whales took advantage along side the panic sell.

if another similar crash happens during the bull market it won't affect bitcoin at all. it will just lead to some whales losing a huge amount of money trying to go against the market just like what happened during 2017 and bankrupt many whales.

What you are saying is quite reasonable but I am not so sure about it because, after all, bitcoin today is conceived as an asset by most investors. A volatile, high-risk asset. Not a currencı, not the best store of value, but an asset.

What happened in March is that investors, faced with the catastrophe that was coming, sold all kinds of assets en masse to obtain liquidity. That is why everything went down, not only the stock market and bitcoin, but also gold.

And that can also happen again, no matter what the tendency is.
