6721  Other / Meta / Re: @Admins: Merit not working as configured, trolls just don't care (no surprise) on: April 20, 2018, 02:07:13 PM

Not quite. I've been suggesting we remove signatures from ranks for years.

I now think it won't really resolve the problem but rather create new ones. And it will be worst. I can imagine another type of "campaigns" coming from behind the scene of the forum, and you can imagine the result here...

@Carlston Bank

Yes, I have a signature but as I posted, even if I didn't, my opinion would be the same.
When you're in a community you have to think about others, it's how a community works. You surely forgot my question, but what about if your friends are now asking you some money to talk with. (I know you can say, Bitcointalk users are not your friends but you get my point)

How can it be good to ask people money to share their opinions with others, or someone trying to learn, etc? Bitcoin is not a private club and the forum either...

Your solution is rude and not really friendly. This said I would pay if I have no choice but would consider the forum as not so friendly and a kind of "private club" which isn't what I am looking for.

Paying a membership to be allowed to have a signature is something I would have no problem with. I used to pay xxx$ per year in some forums to have access to either some sections or to be allowed to open some topics related to sales.

Theymos is apparently thinking it isn't a good idea, but believe it or not, there are a lot of people who will have no problem to pay for something like this.

I aslo wonder what do you think would be the criteria to estimate the price to post here
6722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best Virtual Credit Card there is? on: April 20, 2018, 01:39:49 PM
You will get a hard time to find any after the VISA fiasco that "killed" a lot of services. Perhaps you can take a look at BitPay, BonPay, Epayment, ViaBuy. I stopped to use such service myself, so I can't say for sure the services mentioned are still working.

You can take a look at the "Service" subforum, there are several discussions about it you may find a better answer than mine.
6723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pablo Escobars Brother Says BTC created by CIA W proof on: April 20, 2018, 01:31:31 PM
I bookmarked the links for later so I didn't read yet...

As for your description in the OP, I just would like to say if the reason behind Bitcoin is really to crash the global economy don't you think there a lot of shortcuts to make it easier? You remember the 2008 crisis, and the one about 1929, both are a good example and it's just a sample that what could happen. Bitcoin didn't exist during both periods.
Illuminati and banks are the same people, check out a pyramid scheme, and it's not even a secret.

If Bitcoin is from CIA/Illuminatis then I am glad to be part of the Elite, feel me good... By the way, so what about the others cryptocurrencies?
6724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank in UK plans to open a Crpytocurrency Trading Desk. on: April 19, 2018, 07:24:11 PM
Fake News Network

We got the same news last year(about JPS Morgan if I'm correct) During the next following days, the Bitcoin value jumped a little. Some weeks later it turned to be a fake news. Don't believe everything you read and verify information or you will be fooled like many others
6725  Other / Meta / Re: Why the fuck did Admin lock up so many topics? wtf? on: April 18, 2018, 11:21:15 PM
the mega threads are the one nobody reads, not even the posters posting in... It's frustrating to see them and even more frustrating to see members open similar ones.
Such cleaning is needed for a very long time and it could be nice to have the same with all sub sections

Let's RawDog creates some new good funny topics Cheesy
6726  Economy / Speculation / Re: Clairvoyant approach versus analytical in investment decision taking on Cryptos. on: April 18, 2018, 10:48:56 PM
Let's be honest, this is YOUR website. Of course, you can say whatever but when someone visits the comment section and read the comments he can see the website is your.

Let's suppose there is really someone who practice mediumship, ouija boards or whatever, don't you think he could at least use something else than a free website platform than Wix.com? After all, if he is able to make accurate predictions it should not be a financial problem to buy something more professional?
I hope you're not turning the site in a charlatan-swindler or mountebank website for quackery or some similar confidence trick to obtain money from innocent people with psychic information
6727  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Displaying the current Bitcoin price on: April 18, 2018, 08:13:34 PM
Yeah, thanks buddy
Actually, both solutions will work. The first is the fastest I can include it in the theme, but I don't want to edit it as I am already facing a problem with it lol
The second one seems to be the best for my case, however, in

a PHP code can be included with <iframe.....src= ...>  Huh
6728  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What is Smart Contract? Very Basic Understanding on: April 18, 2018, 07:57:56 PM

Smart contracts may be Ethereum's thingy, but it's not exclusive to that...

It's not an Ethereum thingy if you consider outside the crypto world. In fact, the smart contract exists since over 20 or 25 years now, it's not a new technology. The man who invented it is the man who invented one of the first cryptocurrency "Bit Gold" as well (before Bitcoin). I never remember his name (Nick something) He basically wanted to use a cryptographic protocol to improve contracts. A lot of people believe Ethereum is the father of smart contracts which is totally wrong.

6729  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Beware of Binance!! on: April 18, 2018, 07:33:42 PM
Did you tried to reach them on their Telegram channel? It may be faster there.

If the system is not sending the SMS so it means you reached the login page ( https://www.binance.com/login.html) then, and the problem comes from the SMS network (?)

Edit: Check this topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2830682.0
6730  Other / Meta / Re: @Admins: Merit not working as configured, trolls just don't care (no surprise) on: April 18, 2018, 07:30:41 PM
Not in favour of this at all to be honest, I learnt a lot from this forum & people like achow saved my ass from losing dozens of bitcoin with personal help. I don’t think paying to post here is a good idea, sorry.

You're happy getting paid to post though, right?

Interesting that the people with advertising in the sigs or avatars are 100% against the idea (thus far anyway).

Even If I was not wearing a signature my version would be the same as follow...

Imagine your friends telling you: wanna talk to me? Paid me first..

The forum is a community, you can't ask people to pay to be part of a community. Forums are supposed to be used to talk, to share, to learn, to teach, to meet people. Why not paying your friends so, for each sentence you want to say
Imagine someone learning cryptos and having some questions, what then? Oh no, need to pay to learn, fuck this.

You have a total wrong way to think about others, think about others and remember this is a community. Your solution will only create more damages than anything else (and not only for the forum)
6731  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Displaying the current Bitcoin price on: April 17, 2018, 08:14:09 PM
Thanks for your offer but I prefer doing it myself as I am sure it isn't difficult. I don't want to use a plugin based solution as the WP installation I already overloaded with plugins which I usually don't like to have
6732  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: April 17, 2018, 07:27:33 PM

I think you can delete Revolut now, or at least put it on hold.

They are banning all accounts
Any proof for that claim?

I have noticed some comments about this as well, since one or two weeks. I didn't pay attention as people didn't really explain what happened exactly. And often people avoid telling the embarrassing point for their matter
6733  Other / Meta / This guy (or bot) is so crappy on: April 16, 2018, 09:11:28 PM
About 100 posts in less than 24H. Roll Eyes
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1983673;sa=showPosts;start=0

What I don't get is all the posts have a letter + numbers at the end of each of them ('D154, D155, D156...)
Sometimes you can find a batch of 20 posts with "Go Green " instead of Dxxx

Do you know or remember about Hop-o'-My-Thumb Perhaps he is using his strategy to remember where he posted since he is posting so much...

Quote
The parents are no longer able to support their children and intend to abandon them. Hop-o'-My-Thumb, overhearing his parents, plans ahead and collects small white pebbles from a river. He uses the stones to mark a trail that enables him to successfully lead his brothers back home. However, the second time round, he uses breadcrumbs instead, which the birds eat up.

Seriously, close the faucet for this bot

6737  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Displaying the current Bitcoin price on: April 14, 2018, 09:08:38 PM
Thanks dude. Yes, I can use PHP, so basically I create the file and just copy paste any API code inside and save? It's easy so, my only problem then is how to display it? is it what am I supposed to use on a page then?
https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+call+a+php+function&oq=how+to+call+a+php+function&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.10327j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

through an iframe It didn't work but I think now I was using the URL and not an API code lol

6740  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tradesatoshi is a scam ? on: April 14, 2018, 08:00:51 PM
No, it's not a scam. I used the site a few times already. Only once I had a problem with the withdrawal page but that was just because of a technical problem for a short period of time.
I contacted them and got a reply in a decent timing, and they helped me to resolve my issue.
As you didn't explain what was your problem it isn't easy to help you, but remember to read the news from time to time, often we get our answer on twitter, news page, etc
