Doesn't suprise me.. at all. Politically correct is just another form of thought control (mind control). Control the dictionary and you control the mind of men.
Orwell already illustrated this with his book 1984. Censorship is all around you, you can't evade it or bypass it. But today's generation doesn't care a lot about fancy rights such as ''privacy'' and ''free speech''.
682  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Music Actually Change Lives? on: December 01, 2017, 08:44:20 PM
Yes, music is an expression and as any expression it can change lives and create a ripple effect. Lets name some artists/bands that have had a huge impact on how society developed:

Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi
Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson
Backstreet Boys (LOL)
Armin Van Buren
HipHop in general

Beatles influenced a huge amount of the 60's 70's generation and still today, Rolling Stones have changed the way rockstars behave etc. It was headline news when Rolling Stones smashed a guitar on stage! The Beatles influenced a generation spiritually and opened up minds to eastern philosophy and drugs.
Elvis Presley changed the way TV is used and music itself creating a new genre. In his time Elvis was only allowed to be shown from chest up cause his hips moved around to much and it was considered to sexual.
Michael Jackson changed Pop music and how we dance.
Backstreet Boys have basically set the boyband trend, where things like One Direction are a product of.

Armin Van Buren has reïnvented electronic music.

HipHop which started in the Bronx in the 70's or early 80's has added a whole new genre and without it we wouldn't have all those kids wearing baggy clothes and bragging about their expensive cars and bitches. Though this was not what HipHop was about back then, it was a way of expression as all music is.

Music changes lives, cultures, societies and has led the revolution against the Vietnam War. So yeah it definitely changes lives. Without any of the artists mentioned above who knows how society would have looked like today? The implications are immense, of the scale. Richter would have had to reinvent his scale!

683  Other / Politics & Society / Re: These 15 Arguments Will Destroy Chemtrails Deniers on: December 01, 2017, 08:28:33 PM
I think the local government of California made an elaborate video of their community discussion where several scientists had reported their findings into the study of ''chemtrails'' and concluded that indeed the air was heavily poisened with different metals, an explosion of ''chems'' over a few decades whereas before there were none. At the end of the video they said they would send the video over to the senate but I suppose it never really got much attention. For anyone interested:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4WhYKP83zo

Been a while since I watch it, the above description may not entirely apply to the the video, but it should be correct in a general sense.

Now without sounding to ridiculous, Shasta County, probably named after Mt. Shasta is a heavy UFO activity area and supposedly early beings from a civilisation before Atlantis, Lemuria live in within or deep down the mountain of Mt. Shasta as it is also believed to be an entrance to inner-earth as in the Hollow Earth Theory. I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to these things as I find it fascinating.
684  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faster site that i can use to Deposit Euros by Bank and get BTC? on: December 01, 2017, 08:10:54 PM
Hello Smiley

Looking for some services that i can deposit Euros from my bank and get fast BTC Smiley

Kraken now needs almost a week Sad

Thank you

I know litebit.eu is almost instantly just got to wait for BTC confirmations. I tried Kraken myself aswell didn't really like it, took like 5 days and meanwhile I was stressing if I had filled out everything correctly. I used to use Litebit.eu as an alternative but not anymore, I can still recommend it though.
685  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn BTC by mining? (Mining myself, pool mining) on: December 01, 2017, 08:08:42 PM
So I found out about Bitcoin like a few months back now. I really want to get hold of some coins my own and I got no way to buy any in my country (Germany)... Is mining on my regular PC worth it or is pool mining better?

Thanks in advance!
-Snike

Mining on a regular PC was something you could do back in 2010, right now you would only damage your computer, you might be able to find altcoins that are GPU mineable but not BTC. BTC is ruled currently by asics and large industries that make up a huge portion of the mining pool. Also I think the electricity in Germany might be to expensive to get into mining. If you really want to get BTC, you could level up by posting constructive comments or creating threads that aren't spammy. From Jr. Member and up you can participate in bounties and you will get paid in altcoins which you can sell for BTC. You might be able to find some newbie bounty campagnes running.

Goodluck!

Cardano is a sublime project, don't let these ''high supplies'' fool you.

690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is an NEP5 address and where do I get one? on: November 30, 2017, 05:24:51 PM
I see that NEO has something similar to Ethereum's ERC20, a NEP5 address? Where do I get one?
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IoP] Internet of People - Decentralise the Web 2.0 - a Community Project on: November 29, 2017, 09:28:32 PM
Community, tell us what crypto currency we should enable on Titania.
An IoP wallet and fullnode is already integrated in TitaniaOS.

  • It must run on raspberry pi
  • It must be POS

Anything non PoW goes: Staking / Minting / Forging Node / Masternode

Please help us here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Libertaria/comments/7fvk4f/titania_release_your_crypto_app_requests/

What is Titania?

Titania Whitepaper https://drive.google.com/file/d/11xDyBFACJYxrDQY4YNdiBqF8UFhgvpT9/view

I'm still not sure what raspberry pi is, I know Stratis had it for their staking method I think but honestly I couldn't really figure out how to get that stuff going. So I'm inclined to say PoS, I think Masternode could work aswell but given the low supply I would advise against that, it would be a good option when the max supply is being reached. Just my opinion, not a very informed opinion though so be warned!
692  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Website bouwen - welke host? on: November 29, 2017, 06:15:32 PM

Huh
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / IoP - Internet of People on: November 28, 2017, 07:49:09 PM
Hello guys, I read the bluepaper of this project a while ago and decided to purchase some tokens. It looks to be quite promising, good community, quality dev team and strong principles. Marketcap is relatively low, about 4m and the circulation supply is still low aswell with the same max supply as BTC. On top of it looking to be quite promising they also give out dividends to token holders on revenue earned by the project. Which if it does well could be significant considering its price at the moment. I'm a dividend guy, I want passive income from projects or companies that are going to stick around.

What do you guys think about this project? Would like to hear some more opinions since I'm not really a tech person.

Scam alert

I got kicked out from the telegram chat noting that several supposed members have asked for their names to be removed from the Moirai website, I got the skype contact details for Moirai's supposed CEO from their smart contract developer and when asking them about moirai they blocked all communication on skype

Do you guys visit WordPress sites or do you find them so shabby that whenever you see one you're faster to click the tab away then to read the first letters of the page?
I personally can't stand WordPress sites, how do you feel about them?

I need this information for a project I'm working on, trying to build a website myself but I can't code and I've already concluded several website builders aren't an option so I'm exploring WordPress.

697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEST (google company) Appoints Cardano (ADA coin) as fund manager on: November 27, 2017, 08:51:28 PM
Sorry to spoil the party here, Cardano.com are a financial risk management company based in the Netherlands. They are in no way affiliated with the Cardano blockchain (Ada Coin) project. The organisations and websites associated with the ada / blockchain project are cardanofoundation.org, cardanohub.org, Iohk.io, emurgo.io

Anyone confirm this?

No they are not, they're based in Switzerland..
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy EmerCoin (EMC) at 9337, thank me later on: November 27, 2017, 08:49:47 PM
It may make sense to invest in EMERCOIN
because emercoin is trading on some big stock exchanges, for example: bittirex, livecoin, cryptopia ...

Its also one of the more time tested coins, not frequently spoken about. I personally don't really know what emercoin is about though, I do know some ICO projects copied their code.
I was interested in buying some earlier but since I got no clue what this thing is or does, then meh.. still gotta get over this technical handicap I have to really be able to dig the gems from the dirt.
699  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is a bitcoin REALLY worth? on: November 27, 2017, 06:40:37 PM
What its really worth!? Easy!!!

1 Bitcoin is worth 1 Bitcoin!

How much is a dollar worth?
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: GVT going pretty hard on: November 27, 2017, 06:38:09 PM
Small marketcap, great product.
Barely makes the top 100 if it's goes x2. Seems like a great investment (timing could be better tho)

Yeah I sold on 3 dollars and didn't buy back in on the dip at 2,5 or something. But I did just buy the dip on 6,5. its already up 2,5 from that and has come down a bit from the 9dollar mark. I'm probably just going to hold it untill I see it in the top100 and then re-evaluate.
