701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: February 18, 2023, 10:32:58 PM

Not sure though how you see Haney as a offensive boxer, no offense, but he plays more as a defensive fighter like Floyd. He is bigger if that is what you mean by massive, he has the length. If there will be a offensive boxer here in this rematch, it will be Loma, when his 'hi-tech' style and approach.

Sorry that was my bad, of course I meant defensive not offensive style. Obviously. I just got a bit mixed up who I meant lol. Once Haney finds an opening, his counter punching combos are really nice to watch. Not so much his signature jabs but that might be where defensive styles lack style. He really seems to like parrying from a higher guard stance with his jab.

But his attack combos? The transitions are really nice.

I just think his size will be the deciding factor when combined with his defense in his fight vs Loma.

I've seen how Haney moved and I must say that he knows when to throw punches and he wisely targets his opponent's weakness so he'll know that his punches will have sure hits.
If he will still does the same thing when he faces Loma, he might also include countering and having a strong defense against him. Loma is also aggressive and that's something he should prepare for.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad feeling like a bomb is gonna go off on: February 17, 2023, 06:16:32 PM
How are you now OP? With the "feeling" that you have? With the past few days, it did decrease but recovered after a few days. So what do you think is the best plan right now OP?

Can you be specific with the coins that you have looked up as well? Maybe you are planning to trade specific stable coins or whatnot. I hope you took advantage of it.
Seems OP got liquidated  Cheesy

About the stablecoins right now, seems it's a hot issue right now on cryptocurrency market but I believe, issue on stablecoins seems just a FUD, just like what is always happening on USD Tether even since before which is FUD totally and right now on BUSD, I can say it's FUD also.

We've been through this kind of situation before and it only keeps on repeating. We mistakenly see small corrections as a threat and fear them which is a wrong conception. So far, I don't see anything wrong with the current movement of stablecoins despite the controversies. We shouldn't listen and feel affected by lots of FUD around us.
703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The 4 trading fears and how to overcome them on: February 17, 2023, 05:33:41 PM
Trading is almost similar to gambling, but here the risk involved is comparatively less. Now when you invest anywhere your hard earned money, then there is risk surrounding you. Now all the fears that OP have mentioned is about money only. So one can only overcome this, if you are rich or you have plenty of money to spend. But if you can’t afford to lose, then trading is not the right option for you. Invest your money in FDs or SIPs. Moreover you can minimise the risk in trading, if you choose the coin wisely and invest on stable coins.

Trading has risks but unlike gambling, its risk is managable especially if we are fully equipped with knowledge and understanding of its fundamentals. Fear is normal but we have to deal with the volatility of the market wisely. We shouldn't let our fear overtake or rule over our emotions or else we will end up making messy decisions which can lead to losses.
704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If it was you on: February 17, 2023, 05:03:34 PM
Both can be good ways to make a profit but of course with enough understanding and trading skills. For me, it's better to start with spot trading before doing the future. It will be a big risk to try futures without knowing how to do spot trading. I must say that futures aren't ideal for beginners and it will take time to fully understand it. If you don't want to have big losses in the beginning, stick to spot trading first.
705  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kryptogamers Hive No KYC Casino on: February 17, 2023, 04:37:46 PM
from these two answers I conclude that it is likely that this casino is right not asking for KYC for betting and when wanting to withdraw funds from the casino.
but if later there is a problem or the casino suspects unusual activity on the account KYC will be requested. is my statement true?

if it's true it has become a natural thing. because in other casinos that don't ask for KYC if there is any suspicious activity on a certain customer's account, they will usually ask for KYC to solve the problem.

but if my statement is wrong please let me know.
I think that it's already verified and cleared that they've answered that it's not possible for them to ask KYC. Only if some authorities that asks for specific detail of yours from their casino, they'll hand it over to them. But as said, they don't have much request from authorities and up to date, they only got one. Well, this is based on the answer that the owner/rep has said on the #2. It's interesting to see that they're a privacy friendly casino just as what the answers they have provided above.

It is a good move so they can also control illegal activities and fraud in their casino. Those who seek privacy and security can rely on their site because most casinos nowadays always require KYC even after anouncing that they will not require KYC. At least they are honest that there's still a possibility that they will require KYC in some cases.
706  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Looking for Investors for my Upcoming PvP crypto Casino on: February 17, 2023, 04:09:51 PM
I?m sorry it sounds like cups.gg wasn?t successful, it was but the team was from Libanon and at that time they got problems with the banks so they couldn?t pay out and then got into financial problems and closed the site.

Probably the same thing will happen with this new (I prefer to say rebranded) project.
You claim that you have raised $800, is this from investors you get out of this forum or it is your own bankroll?
Now you have just started but seems that you are not ready to run your project properly with enough funds.
I dont get why many people try to own a casino but forget that huge amount of funds is required, and try to ask people to be investors.

No, the old project was because the banks frozed, the 800$ i raised is from the money I earned on ogu.gg, yeah i know we dont have enough funds that's why I'm looking for investors

I think it will still be early for you to launch your site without polishing everything. You don't have to rush things out if you still don't have enough funds to start it out. I guess it will be better if you'll have enough funds before attracting investors because to be honest, investors will doubt the future of your site. They will surely find it risky if you'll start out a crypto casino without polishing everything first.

Sana naman gumawa ng action ang SEC, since may inilabas na silang advisory, bakit hindi pa nila pinapasara or hinuhuli ang mga may-ari ng scam na kumpanyang ito.
You don't understand. By laws, SEC is just a regulatory agency na responsible sa pagpapatupad ng federal securities laws saka pagreregulate ng mga securities industry sa Pinas. Wala talaga silang mandate to arrest scammers, but what they can actually do is to press civil charges to those individuals who violates their laws.

Kung may gagawa man ng action, it has to the Department of Justice (DOJ) or the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

[2] https://www.sec.gov.ph/about-us/power-and-functions/#gsc.tab=0

708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins to HODL on: February 16, 2023, 04:49:36 PM
I still have a lot of USDT in my wallet, I already have ROSE, NFTb, TRX, AXS. My question is any other altcoins that I have missed or should check out?

TRX is still a good option and because it has shown good development through the years. AXS I think needs enough recovery time because we can't expect too much from it right now. There are still plenty of potential top coins and you can replace other coins that you have mentioned. Always pick top coins with a strong foundation and coins that have good innovation and improvements through the years.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting fraud in Brazil 😦 on: February 16, 2023, 04:26:31 PM
I think of a scenario where the players themselves also bet on personal or team results, having inside information.
This is another question that deserves to be investigated.

It will be very hard to investigate on this conspiracy since everyone involved is benefiting for the inside information they can get. The only way to bust them is find someone inside that will betray address and leaked information to the authorities about what they are doing in the fixed match because it’s nonsense to conduct an investigation if there’s no lead on the case itself.

I believe this is the reason why case like matched fixing is very rare to caught because all accusation is just an speculation if there will be no evidence supporting the claim. Only a whistleblower can help authorities to establish a case against this kind of organization.

This has been happening in many betting companies and gambling industries in different countries. No one can stop it because no one is complaining or either filing a case because some of them are afraid of huge personalities behind these fixed matches and others can't provide concrete proof to support their claims. If gamblers will only be brave to file a legal complaint, cheaters will learn their lessons.
710  Economy / Economics / Re: A steady source of income is a man's bottom line to support his family on: February 16, 2023, 03:52:27 PM
Having a stable job is our strong foundation against financial crisis. We might be earning higher than our permanent job but we should not leave our jobs for it because stability and assurance always provide a guarantee of a more secure future. We can have a side hustle but we should always have our job as a main source of income. Having a permanent job also enhances our skills and provides us with more experiences which we can use in the future as well.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: February 16, 2023, 03:18:59 PM
We should see a different Joshua he will never look at any opponent lightly again after the Ruiz loss and Usyk back to back losses where he is the favorite to win in those matches,

My wish is for AJ to take this one so that it can restore his confidence. The statistics favour him in the upcoming encounter and I hope he makes a bold statement with that match. Anything short of a TKO will not be good for his dwindling boxing career.

Joshua is still young and can still make a lot of great fights but he should start somewhere and this is it.

Fitness over age is the core thing in sports like boxing. Most times it is the younger boxers who ends up taking the shine off the more advanced ones. In terms of age the stats favour Jermaine Franklin age-wise. But I want AJ to win.

Joshua seems too willing and eager to win this fight. He's into serious series of training because for sure, he doesn't want to miss the chance of proving himself more in this field again. I'm confident that Joshua could showcase his full strength in this match. Franklin despite being the underdog also shows his eagerness to take another title so I hope that Joshua would focus on seeing Franklin's weaknesses first.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good Cause to Use Stablecoins - Help Earthquake Victims in Türkiye on: February 15, 2023, 08:45:21 PM
I'm glad to know that there are organizations like this that initiate acts of kindness to help the victims of the earthquake. It's very heartbreaking to see videos of the survivor, especially the children. My heart breaks for them and I hope more people will extend their hands to help especially those young children who have lost their homes and families. I hope we can extend our helping hands to them with any amount that we can afford and let's continue to pray for the affected countries.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful Many New Tokens on Coinmarketcap are on: February 15, 2023, 08:03:26 PM
I noticed that Recently CoinMarketCap website has been adding new Tokens without verifying the Token team, goals, and if it's legit.
Most of these currencies collapse during the first weeks of its launch.
I Remember that the website used to check every Token before publishing it to the public.
Has anyone noticed that as well?
I think even if they just pay them to list there will be a fine for CMC, nothing comes that legit if they are listed on CMC, it's not a guarantee. For anyone to know how to check the legitimacy of a project has a lot of factors to consider, and just because they aren't/yet listed on the site doesn't mean both ways. Keep that in mind. I don't know if it's still Binance that doing the operation for CMC.

This is a common mistake of most investors. They think that the coins listed on CMC are legit. It will still be better to double check the potential of a coin because being listed on CMC isn't a reliable reason to check the legitimacy of a coin. There are other ways to check their legitimacy if we will only do deeper research because if we will just rely on coins being listed, we might only fall for scammers' trap.
714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing losses - Double down bet or Bet twice? on: February 15, 2023, 07:46:54 PM
When I’m in the good mood, I preferred betting using the same amount multiple times until I hit a winning streak to recover my lose but when I’m in bad mood, I usually increase my bet size equals to my total lose so that I can recover quickly.
Yeah, that looks like a recipe for a disaster. I mean that's exactly what I have done when I collected my 2-week signature campain payout on YoLoDice and gambled it on their website hoping to cover my previous week's loss. After maxing my bet amount on dice, it only takes 1 tap of a button to lose it all in instant  Cheesy.

That's what you get for chasing losing bets :v

I can relate. I've been in yolodice campaign since January 2017 and a few times felt a need to "spin the wheel" before cashing out my cashing out my campaign money. That's how these campaigns that send money to your casino account work. They make you play because the money it's already there waiting, bets are just a few clicks away. Losing money didn't hurt at the time, but it started to do so when bitcoin pumped.

I also did increase my bet after a loss. Not a typical martingale with 2x but often 3x or 4x with enough money to only bet 5 times in a row before running out. Easy come, easy go. Wink
I also had the same experience which I'm regretting until now. I had big winnings but when I was about to cash them out, I'd been greedy and hoped to win higher so I bet again and lost and when I started to chase my losses by betting 5X in a row, I ended up losing all my funds. I can conclude that this will not help us recover from our losses. Most of the time, our greed and hope of having higher winnings can make us have bigger losses.
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choosing between your relationship and gambling. on: February 15, 2023, 07:30:37 PM
I understand how the woman feels because she will about to enter the world of marriage and she surely thinks about their future. Having a gambler's lifetime partner can cause chaos in the future but if the gambler is responsible, she should just accept her future husband's habit. This usual problem could be fixed with the right approach. They can just talk about it before getting married without asking the husband to choose between his habit and their relationship.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling problem on: February 15, 2023, 07:16:05 PM
This will be a big help to those who are having a hard time dealing with gambling addiction and to those who are seeking comfort in gambling whenever they feel distressed. There are just people who need someone to talk to and it will be a good way for them to avoid gambling. It will also be a helpful way of reminding everyone about the risk of gambling addiction and finding ways to control it. I hope more sites would do such good promotion.
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling safer than before ? on: February 14, 2023, 03:21:53 PM
When it comes to security, I could say that we are safe since we're far from physical abuse and harassment because we can play in the comfort of our homes but fraudsters, scammers, and hackers are still all over the internet so criminal activities will still exist. The risk of gambling is still the same but we can gamble without any hassle as long as we have the resources. We can now gamble easier but as gambling technology innovates, scammers and criminals also improve their tactics so we still have to be careful.
718  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: February 12, 2023, 02:26:42 PM
Since strategies are always changing in trading, what is the relevance of experience? Who would you trust the most for trading tips,
An old trader who has had better days and is mostly still relevant because they have a strong reputation for the fact that he has been trading for a while, or would you trust a new trader who is hot in the market and fresh with new strategies?

I will trust a highly reputable and experienced tradee with visible proof of successful trading. Of course, I will not look for perfection because there's no such thing as perfect trading but I find it more reliable to trust well-familiar people with trading. We can also rely on our own experience and effective strategies because we learn through time as we explore more about trading.
719  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If You Could Start Over, How Would you Learn Day Trading on: February 11, 2023, 08:43:51 PM
It will never be too late to start over again in trading. We all know that trading is a long process of learning and it will be an edge if you'll know about all of its aspects including day trading. As long as we have the time to study day trading then we should grab the opportunity to learn about it. It will be a risky and challenging thing but since there are already resources that we can find online, we better dare to study it. You can look for a mentor but you can also learn it yourself but be ready for the possible losses as it is part of the learning process.
720  Economy / Economics / Re: Untouchable Savings: Do you have it? on: February 11, 2023, 05:21:22 PM
Yes, I have untouchable savings that are allocated for my kids' future. As much as possible, I always do my best not to touch the funds and look for other alternative ways to earn in case of emergency. It is important that we can handle our earnings and savings well because if we don't have the discipline to keep our savings untouchable, we will just disregard the purpose and reason why we are saving.
