701  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome a Bear Market in Cryptocurrency on: September 08, 2022, 04:11:48 AM
From your points, I would say accumulation is the most important and the sensible thing to do. Invest what you can afford to lose during the bear market. Invest what you won't need in the future. Don't sell anything during the bear market. Keep holding until the bull market starts and you reach your desired profit goal.

Only those who sell during the bear market makes the loss. They look at the charts, they get disappointed, they panic, and then they end up selling. Most likely they sell because they invested what they "can't" afford to lose.
702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be running in your mind if Bitcoin reaches $1000 again on: September 07, 2022, 02:29:20 AM
If it goes back to $1,000, I would be thinking about those people who invested the moment before the crash. They all would be feeling awful. I am sure most of them would have sold everything and never think about bitcoin. The next thing that would come to my mind is that if I should be investing more in bitcoin. If bitcoin is this volatile, we can't be sure about the future of bitcoin. I doubt it can ever become a mainstream currency. No one would be willing to accept bitcoin as a legal tender. That would just put them at a risk. But then again, if it does become main stream, there is no way bitcoin would crash like this. But yeah, then again, I would take every opportunity to invest as much as I can.
703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: buying low and selling high on: September 07, 2022, 01:38:52 AM
It sounds very easy to say buy "low" and sell "high" when trading. If it was the case, everyone would be doing this and everyone by now would be very rich. But that doesn't happen because you can't always execute your trades accurately. You might buy low, but the price might go even lower, so you should either cut your losses and continue what you are doing or hold your coins.

But it is easier to do this if you are willing to hold. Buy low, hold and sell when the price is high. Keep on repeating.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me choose on: September 07, 2022, 01:27:01 AM
Between Skale Network, Satoshi Island or Lido Dao which one do you think will be better investment in this bear market.
I doubt any of these are good. Never heard of them, but if you did your own research and think that these are some good tokens then go ahead, invest. Have only heard of Lido Dao. Was trending for days ago, probably related to ETH or something.

Why not choose one of those top altcoins if you are not willing to risk so that you are safe?
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing Bitcoin private keys using dental implants? on: September 07, 2022, 01:13:48 AM
Source: https://twitter.com/selfbankt/status/1566914040236064769

Okay so as what the Twitter post says here, if we can store our value in gold teeth, how much more if it's related to Bitcoin? I don't know about you guys though, but is this really going to be possible in making our private keys safe when storing it on dental implants?

What would be the pros and cons of this one? Would love to hear your reactions, feedback or opinion about this one guys. Thanks!
So many ways to securely store your coins but you choose dental implants? Why would anyone do that? Not safe at all and one of the worst ways to store your private keys I guess. Imagine someone knows about the private keys. He would literally knock off your teeth to steal your bitcoins.

Pros? I don't know. Cons? Super expensive. And the pain and hassle you have to go through every time you need to recover your bitcoin using private keys.
706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Set Of Action When Your Account Face An Issue on: September 06, 2022, 01:58:01 AM
So you're playing in a casino and you triple your wager but when you try to withdraw you cannot what set of actions are you going to do,
Are you going to screenshot your dashboard and your deposit, are you going to create a ticket first and ask support what happens to your account or you will ask chat support and screenshot all conversations because of the fear of getting your account ban, or you will directly post your concern here in Bitcointalk.
Posting directly on bitcointalk wouldn't help you. In fact it will make things slower and show you as a hostile. The first thing to do is take screenshots and record everything. Then contact support. Ask them what is wrong. Try to solve the issue with them first. If they are being unreasonable or trying to delay things, then post here and let them know that you wish to discuss  everything here.
707  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin Follows Previous Cycle on: September 03, 2022, 04:03:28 PM
This looks like a joke to me, you mean Bitcoin will hit $240K in just 4 years? This is will not happen, I will not even think of that. I would have been in agreement if it were to be $100K, but $240K is way too much.
-snip-
Therefore, forget that such a dream.
It is the same thing people said when the price of bitcoin was few dollars. They said it is never going to go above $100, but here we are, sitting at around $20,000 with the all time high being more than $60,000.

Just curios, why do you think it won't happen? And why do you think $100k will happen? Or are these some random numbers you are saying?
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin and Blockchain inventor Satoshi can prove his identity ? on: September 03, 2022, 02:46:54 PM

I think it is time for Satoshi to prove his identity and end the chapter 'hunt for Satoshi Nakamoto.'

I don't think he will reveal his identity publicly because I know it probably won't make him feel safe and calm, there are many ways to prove who Satoshi is but unfortunately he is more comfortable being anonymous than going public.
Imagine if he revealed his identity. Two things might happen. The market might crash because FUDs would start spreading. People might think that he is going to sell his coins and that will cause the market to tumble down. Or once he reveals his identity (which is going to  be a very big news), more people will be interested in bitcoin and cause the price to go up.

I doubt he is hiding or is scared to reveal his identity. He chose not to in order to keep bitcoin truly decentralized. If he did reveal his identity, people would worship him and focus more on what he would say and less on the community.
709  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can One Actually Do Crypto Trading As A Living? on: September 03, 2022, 02:37:31 PM
I've heard of many people talk about cryptocurrency and its potentials all the time and at a point I begin to wonder if one can just depend fully on cryptocurrency as a means of livelihood.
Nope. Never depend fully on crypto currencies for livelihood. Investing and trading in crypto currencies is very risky. I wouldn't listen to others here that are saying that it is fine if you are a "professional" or a "good trader". Doesn't matter if you are professional, you still shouldn't rely on something very volatile to pay for your family, food, rent and bills. Imagine you being a good trader and you made one mistake where you lose  everything. Get a job, get paid every month and let trading be just a side hustle.
710  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and financial planning. on: September 03, 2022, 02:15:25 PM
Yeah, financial planning when trading is very important. You should know your limits and you should trade with what you can afford to lose. People should keep in mind that crypto currency trading is more volatile than any other kind of trading. The market can go from 10 to 5 within few minutes. As long as they aren't risking money that they need, they can continue trading. As long as they are aware of their financial limits, trading is completely fine.
711  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit closed account/confiscated money on: September 03, 2022, 11:53:18 AM
Use proper format to make scam accusations so people can help you.

Have you read their terms of services? Do they say anything about only one account per household or per device or something?  If that is the case, then yes, they can restrict/ban your account. But I don't think they should be confiscating your funds. That is a little too much. Imagine someone visits your house, bets on Rollbit and wanted to check his account. Logs in and you both lose all your funds. But what did they mean by KYC circumvention? Did you or your mom try to use fake IDs or something? As long as both accounts are registered with different ID's i don't think it should be a problem.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokpie Exchange is a pure Scam. Be warned!!!! on: September 03, 2022, 05:25:18 AM
My Tokpie Exchange journey, i deposited my fund to trade their. I bought the native token of the exchange (TKP) but i can't trade it back to Eth, BNB, USDC or WBTC.
I wrote to support and they told me that i should place order based on their terms or forget about it. But the evil part of it is that they are selling below the price they want us to place.
Right now, my funds are trapped their. If you write anything about it on the Telegram group, they will delete. There are screenshots as evidence to these.
I am posting this, so that others won't fall victim of this evil that Tokpie Exchange is dishing in the Blockchain Space.
Stay away from Tokpie Exchange but you if you have experience any manipulation from them, drop your own experience here.
Tokpie officials can as well come and clear us here.
Never heard of this exchange. And why would you even think of buying a "native exchange token" of an exchange no one knows about? Obviously they are scamming people if selling their tokens below the price you guys want to place. More like "dumping" their tokens.

Open a proper scam accusation thread. Post proof and make other people aware of that scam exchange.
713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Longterm Price Target on: September 03, 2022, 05:04:04 AM
The 21 million bitcoin is the max supply, but don't forget about all those lost bitcoin and those bitcoins that will be lost in the future. And then not "everyone" will have a share of bitcoin. Some people will have more than others. So the price that you predicted is nowhere accurate. No one can predict the long term price of bitcoin. What if crypto currencies never go mainstream? The price will end up being like it is right now. What if it goes mainstream? It will skyrocket!
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currency acceptance Everywhere on: September 03, 2022, 04:22:49 AM
I can see that it says a cup of tea is around 30 cents. I doubt anyone would to pay using bitcoin for a cup of tea. The normal fee is around 10 to 15 cents (when the network isn't congested), which can buy you almost another cup of tea. Then when he wants to convert his bitcoins to fiat, he will have to pay a fee. Loses too much in my opinion. If he holds his bitcoin till he collects enough and then sells for fiat, there is capital gain taxes on top of his other taxes. There is a chance of the price falling. Should either accept coins that has almost negligible fees. But then again, the volatility will kills the business.

Not all businesses are suitable for using crypto currencies. At least not now.
715  Economy / Gambling / Re: I need advice from experienced users of this forum on: September 03, 2022, 01:38:32 AM
Hello. I really need advice from knowledgeable and experienced people like you, so I decided to turn to you. In short, I have an unpleasant situation with the MBit casino. You can read the details here if you are interested. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5409934.new#new

I filed a complaint on several sites, like GURU and AskGamblers, but none of them gave any results. However, I don't want to give up, as casino representatives behave dishonestly towards me. I want to try to file a complaint against the license provider. In other threads with fraud accusations, I have seen similar advice.

Could you help me with this? Tell me how to do it correctly. I will be very grateful for any advice and details. I believe that such things cannot be left just like that and we need to fight to the last. I would also like as many people as possible to find out about the dishonest behavior of the MBit casino and not repeat my mistakes.
Others suggested you to add screenshot and proofs. If you have those, then edit the original post and add it there so everyone can see the proofs instead of having to dig through the thread.

Anyway, if the casino you played in is a licensed casinos, then contact their license provider. Look for the license seal around the site. If you can't find it, then google the license name and then visit the website. There should be an option to file a formal complaint against the casino. You can try that. The license provider will forward your issue to the casino. If they don't reply or say anything, contact the license provider again stating that they are ignoring your case.
716  Economy / Gambling / Re: chinese bookmakers with tf gaming platform NO KYC on: September 03, 2022, 01:30:57 AM
Casinos that allow you to gamble and place bets without KYC are the ones that has no license. Hence, it is very risky to gamble in those casinos. They can scam you and you can literally do nothing. They aren't registered or anything. They can run away with your money and you won't be able to take any actions against them (who and where are you going to complain against them?). Casinos that interact with fiat currency but with no KYC are more riskier than those crypto currency based casino. You can literally fall in legal troubles like money laundering cases. So would be better if you don't play in those casinos.
717  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin, Not for everyone. on: September 03, 2022, 01:25:12 AM
Bitcoin has created a lot good wave to it's investors during bull market, bad wave during bear market. Bitcoin is a seasoned coin that undergoes halving every 4 years, yet many have not gotten use to bull and bear market of Bitcoin coin, some people only get happy during the bull market as a result they forget to prepare their mind for bear market too. 1 Bitcoin = $26 (2013)   when only an average number of investors believed in it, Now that many investors are into Bitcoin investment, it cost thousands of $$  to afford 1 Bitcoin ( 1 Bitcoin not for everyone).

perhaps Now that the potential of Bitcoin have been globally let out and with regards to more innovation, the price will continue to go that many can not afford 1.
Why do you have to own exactly 1 bitcoin? You don't need that. You can own any amount of bitcoin and make profits. If you are saying 1 bitcoin isn't for everyone, then you can also say 10 bitcoin isn't for everyone. Focus on the amount of money you can invest in bitcoin, not the number of bitcoins you have. Keep investing and holding. Eventually you will be able to own at least 1 bitcoin.

And isn't it obvious that people will only be happy during bull market? Are you happy to see your portfolio go down during a bear market?
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin versus Banks on: September 02, 2022, 05:26:21 AM
Yeah, bitcoin does look so much better and more decentralized than banks, but to be honest only in those pictures. How many people are actually using it a truly decentralized way? Most of the people move their coins or store their coins in a centralized exchange or a custodial wallet. Hence, Bitcoin no longer remains as decentralized as it looks like. And then, those who are saying people no longer need a middle man, how do you think most of the people are selling their bitcoins for fiat? Using a third party platform.
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 02, 2022, 05:14:24 AM

Now, this would be something of a thread where users can give tips as to how we play online/offline without our family knowing it. Curious how you do it.

My wife suspected me for almost a year already when I was watching a UFC channel on youtube where they suggest who to bet. Of course, I said No when she asked if I was betting. From then on I just hold my phone whenever she is not around. It's a long argument when your wife suggests buying this or that on amazon yet you gambling your funds. lol
If you want to hide that you are gambling, you are probably addicted or almost on the way of getting addicted to gambling. Your post is little confusing, but I am guessing you do place bets, but you are lying to your wife? I don't think that's a good idea. You shouldn't be hiding anything from your wife. You will eventually get caught and things might not end well. Better talk to her and let her know that you place only few bets and try to explain why you do it.

Buying things on amazon and placing bets aren't the same thing.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it right time to invest in Cardano? on: September 02, 2022, 04:40:10 AM
Is Cardano (ADA) a good coin to invest in it for long term?
It is a good long term investment and right now a good short term investment too. There is an upcoming upgrade to the network, the Vasil hard fork which is going to take place this September (hopefully). People are hoping for a price boost and people will FOMO into it. So invest if you can now, hold, wait for the fork, and after few days, you can sell and take your profit because very highly likely the price will drop after the fork takes place as more and more people will start cashing their profits.

For long term, yes it is still good. Invest and stake your coins for passive rewards.
