701  Economy / Reputation / Re: My bitcointalk account got misused by my friend on: September 28, 2021, 05:40:05 PM
I see you have edited your last posts, but when exactly did you gave your account to your friend? I think that in 2017 it was still your, as you have participated in bounties with 1CoLd1dwf9TMiieTUYAep4u8FYHEer3QM4 wallet.
If you are the real owner of that account, can you sign a message from that address? Or prove that you have control of it? Because your account might look like a bought account and you try to clear your trust with this topic.

The negative trust on his account can't be removed just by saying that the account is misused by his friends. That's a lame excuse but even if show how this miracle happen, the account will still be tagged as it changes hands.

I would like to suggest OP that instead of complaining here, go ask your friend why he misuse your account. Claim damages from your friend.
702  Economy / Reputation / Re: Nutildah's bounty cheaters & ban evaders thread on: September 28, 2021, 01:44:46 PM
This account has been transferred since last month. I'm the new owner and I don't know what's going on right now.

Are you sure you bought this account last month ? Even if you did, you trust the seller and still not change the password for your account ?
The last password reset was in 2019.

There is a rule that is not to change the password after buying an account. I'm complying so this account isn't locked.

So you follow the rules, means you are part of the team or atleast have faith in the seller that he won't change the password and resell it.

Even if you are speaking truth, your account has been tagged and the money you have spend have been wasted. But if you have any clue of a the seller bitcointalk accounts or your peer accounts, you can disclose them to get the revenge and be helpful to the community.

704  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] Members who support newbies - Thanks! on: September 26, 2021, 11:40:29 AM
Just for my understanding, the last 200th User in the list gave 10 Merits to 10 different Newbies or they can give a total of 10 merits to newbies (even 1 or 2 newbies ) ?

The number of different newbies is indicated, not the number of merit sent to the newbies. In order to get into the table, you need at least send at least 1 merit to 10-11 different users who do not have a merit.

So if i give a merit to a newbie who have already one merit,  giving him merit won't be counted to be eligible to be in the part of this list ?

He or she should have 0 merits   Roll Eyes
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China trying its best to get hated on: September 26, 2021, 11:28:31 AM
I honestly think that people are starting to get really sick of China's behavior.

What's really amazing is that they don't understand that they are cutting themselves out from a super-growing market, letting all major investor taking all their money to other countries (like the mining exodus happened recently).

Should we really expect a bear market?

I don't think this is the plan for the Chinese to cut them from crypto. I still believe all this is Fud to create the panic or buy bitcoin cheap. Whatever be the reason, Chinese will not leave cryptocurrencies. Lets wait and see how things turn up this time.

If i give 11 merits to the quality posts made by Newbie, i will be in that Top 200 list ?
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 26, 2021, 10:18:04 AM
This T20 thread is flooded with IPL discussion as that's the most watched T20 games every where. Unfortunately we are unable to watch this tournament in our country and hence can't take active participation in discussions.

When is the end date for this season of IPL ?

IPL final will be played on 10 of October. You can always watch the highlights of the matches on youtube and can stay update on live scoring through  cricinfo.com.  Also if you need to see live action, then wait  bit as T20 worldcup is around the corner.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Infrastructure Bill 2021 and Bitcoin on: September 26, 2021, 09:02:58 AM
When the bill was being discussed, and was resolved unfavorably, the price went up, if I recall correctly, at least most of the time, and I remember commenting on it. But maybe it was because there was still time until it was actually implemented and it could still be changed.

If they talk about regulating crytpo and put more restrictions on the exchanges, then for sure this will lead to panic and bitcoin might dumo. The problem with the dump is that it take few hours for bitcoin to dump few thousand dollars but recovery takes days, weeks and in some cases months.
709  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will the exchange cancel all Chinese users? on: September 26, 2021, 08:32:11 AM
Following the announcement of the Chinese government to ban Bitcoin;
Huobi.com has issued the most tragic announcement to clear all Chinese users.
Will Binance and OKcoin issue the same notification next?
So will it be followed by the cruelest process of suppressing the price of Bitcoin?

Can you share the link for the Huobi exchange where they mentioned this ?
Also most exchanges have policies that they do not allow people to trade from those countries where government has explicitily ban crypto.
China have ban crypto multiple times before also, i don't know what major they have done this time.
710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / US Infrastructure Bill 2021 and Bitcoin on: September 26, 2021, 07:08:25 AM
What will be the impact of US Infrastructure Bill 2021 on bitcoin ? Many people are saying that bitcoin will dump on this event but i fell otherwise. When everyone is anticipating a dump, we may see opposite. Also bitcoin is moving in falling wedge pattern and a pump is more likely to happen.

~
You just got included in the screenshot, but you are not the one being talked about in the OP.
You are not among those names being reported, don't worry. There was a spam mass of those "Pegasis" post recently, in case you missed it.

I can understand what it can feel when you are not in the list but your name appears accidentally.

@Clairvoyance  if you can modify the OP and remove DroomieChikito screenshot.
712  Other / Meta / Re: Blast Spam on: September 26, 2021, 06:26:26 AM
By the way, i never understand how making many newbies and spamming with them help grows the project ?

Maybe hoping that Google will grab that shit and hold on to it long enough to get some hits. If they managed to farm those newbie accounts without the evil fee, and use a bot to spam (most likely) - that's basically free advertising so the effectiveness doesn't need to be very high.

It may be free in terms of money but they don't value the time spend in making those accounts etc and the doing a waste exercise of advertisement which won't bring much hits and even if it does, they won't be permanent and this exercise need to be repeat again n again.

Better if they could spend this time in gaining few but organic views which may be long lasting, but who teaches them. Sad
713  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: September 26, 2021, 06:12:29 AM
I read whole article I found it very helpful for me. Cause theri are people that are always helping others.
I have question that merit points that are given are deducted from Donor.
For example:
Legendary member A: 870 merit
Member B: 16 Merit
If Member A give 5 merit to member B than User A merit would be 865 or 870.
I will be pleased if someone replies my Question.

There are two types of merits

1-Merits (which can only be received and cannot be deducted)
2- sMertis (Which can only be send and they will be deducted once you send them)

The Merit system is designed in a way whic encourages you to give smerit while your merits remain the same.

The correct answer to your example is 870 Merits.
714  Other / Meta / Re: Request another image option not working while registering a new account on: September 25, 2021, 05:26:29 PM

I was paid for security relates bugs only. I was creating new account to test new features as I do not want to test with main account aa it can cause damage to main account.

If you don't mind me asking, how many bugs you reported were approved by theymos? Any high risk ones that got their attention ASAP?

That's really interesting that people still looking to find bugs in the site. I really doubt if any serious bug could still be found after so many years of successful running the site.
@OP, is there any post by theymos, where he approved and acknowledged your bugs publicly or it was all through PMs ?
715  Other / Meta / Re: Blast Spam on: September 25, 2021, 05:12:48 PM

anyway, here, I listed the accounts that posted the thread so they can be easily reported. I think these accounts should be nuked. it's clear that their only purpose is to spam their "project" without regard to the forum rules. one of the accounts even bought a copper membership(its probably their main account)

That so-called-main account have posted a social media bounty and is offering 200 BNB in the bounty pool. Poor Bounty hunters are joining this only to get scammed in the end.

716  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone offers MERIT in the bounty community group on: September 25, 2021, 03:13:55 PM
there is whole new business created around abusing and selling merits in telegram, fiverr, playerup and similar publicly available websites, and that is not exactly what we could call a black markets.
I don't visit those places, so I haven't seen it. Any idea how big the "market" for Merit sales is?

It can't be that big. The higher ranked accounts won't buy merits because they can't risk their accounts. Consider a high ranked merited by people like Qunenin. That will be the suiside for that account.
I think usually the bounter hunters would buy to become Jr. Member or Member but then again merits are rare and the sellers will soon be exhausted . Also how much would they sell a single merit for ?  Maybe for dust only.
717  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone offers MERIT in the bounty community group on: September 25, 2021, 07:19:53 AM
The account next below the arslan, misunderstood the message and though arslan is asking for merits, so he replied, how much $ ?
He is also looking to sell merits.

Can you tell how to disable secret questions ?
Go to Account Related Settings, and remove them.

I never set my security questions. So its blank by default. This means its disabled already and i am safe ?

Yes, that should be OK.

Hacker logged in using my secret question.
They tried many times.

719  Other / Meta / Re: Banned words as usernames on: September 24, 2021, 02:22:47 PM
Is there currently some protection to stop a new user from using usernames like officialbitcointalk or names similar to other mods ?

If such a feature is not present, it should be implemented otherwise it can be abused.

I don't think this feature can be abused. A person who is coming on the forum very first time won't use the similar usernames like that of any trusted high ranked popular member or an admin. This tactic will only be done by those who know the forum very well and they try to make such accounts for the purpose of scamming only. People are clever enough to distinguish between the ranks. I never heard anyone on bitcointalk getting trapped in such scam of giving any information or money to impersonating user.
720  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone had access to my account last month - Please beware! on: September 24, 2021, 01:29:00 PM
After a few days of checking every foreseeable aspect of this case (email, private keys, synced browser passwords, secret questions and what not, seem to have been compromised at some point), we've come to the conclusion that the hacking extent is way to big to determine the ownership correctly so it will be better if the account remains locked indefinitely.

There is too much complexity in this case and since no one is willing to or can sign the message, the account will be locked forever.

So the James bond movie had a sad ending for everyone.
If legendster was true than he have lost his account. The hacker also jumped in the conversation, so if he was true, then he also lost his 500$ because he does not have an account for which he paid.
